YES! Paige being introduced as an assistant social worker was amazing because it "tied" to her "whitelighter" side. As I'm sure it's been mentioned numerous times. PAIGE IS NOT DEAD. THEREFORE, SHE CANNOT BE A WHITELIGHTER. Social Worker was her best way to embrace that "side" of her. If only she stayed. Didn't Rose at one point admit she hated that they wrote her leaving this job?

I voted to remove Kern because before/during/after Season 4 because with the right localised leadership, s/he could have influenced the WB and someone else could have stepped up including Connie or another person who wasn't a misogynist that would have led the show in another direction.
Brad was more concerned with getting more male viewers at the expense of the shows core principles of sisterhood, femininity and girl power.
Brad liked Julian and Boobs and thats the direction the show took after that.
I would rather have had the ratings tank, have a better wrap up of storylines/characters and the show cancelled earlier by the WB - even at Season 4 or 5 rather get what we got.

I love the thought of sisterhood, femininity and girl power and would have loved them to be the main themes of the show. I love Julian, I just wished that his character didn't turn to sh!t, he could have been a great character for the show, having a demonic informant would have been amazing if Brad didn't automatically turn Cole into the Source but kept him as a reformed demon. I have stated in the past that I would have loved a few episodes to not feature demons so that the sisters could bond. In season one, I would have loved an episode where the argument between Prue and Phoebe (before Phoebe moves to New York) could actually be addressed, when Phoebe said "I never touched Roger.....I know you think otherwise because that's what that Armani-wearing, Chardonnay-slugging, trust-funder told you..." and being called 'Freebie' in her teenage years while Prue knowing that but choosing to believe someone else over her own sister, showing Prue having to address her own biases towards her sister and having to come to terms that she bullied her sister out of their childhood home and that she wasn't a leader she was a follower. The episode could end with them having a discussion with Prue apologising for hurting her sister when she is supposed to protect her. I don't know how most people would feel about that, this is my opinion of course.

It's one of my favorite jobs any of the sisters had. I certainly could do without all her magical creatures subplots. It fitted Phoebe's character more to get Paige's storylines from Season 5 and 6 with the temp jobs and plots that had a magical reason behind it.

I'm repeating my post from the previous page because my reaction hasn't changed, except rather than Paul Ruditis in charge, I'd want Nell Scovell. Speaking of, I just checked my Nook and I can put her book on it!!! Can't wait to read the whole thing!! I didn't vote because my reaction is "Neither - the series moves to another channel (preferably SciFi or FOX) after Season Two. Both Brad Kern and Connie Burge are fired and Paul Ruditis is put in charge. He doesn't let it go beyond Season Four." But since as my signature puts it, I believe that Brad Kern was to The WB what Shax was to the Source, if you put a gun to my head, I'd say move to a different network with Kern still in charge.

Dump Kern but keep it on WB because WB didn't seem to take issue with its S1-S4 "darker" moments. The issues regarding Charmed's storyline seemed to be more about the on-set drama as opposed to the network vs the show.

I'd dump Kern, keep it on the WB and have Nell Scovell become showrunner, as was almost going to happen in S4 according to her book.

You mean we could have lived in a world, where Brad Kern was not part of S5-S8. Damn you Kern for staying. I looked up Nell Scovell and found out she was creator and showrunner on Sabrina the Teenage Witch's early seasons. A show I watched growing up and loved. She'd be perfect, because she wrote one of my favorite episodes 'Sin Francisco'. I'd love to know what a S5-S8 with her would look like. Maybe Shannen would be more willing to come back for a guest appearance or two. As a fan, I can dream.

Wyatt might just be a girl. As for Shannen. She might be more willing to come back if Kern was gone. Wouldn't the 100th episode have been so much more special if Prue was in it. But if she wasn't willing to return but allow them to use her image, that would be enough for me.
