Okay, I'm not a newbie. Actually been on the site on and off for years now, lost my old account, made a new one, etc... Most of you probably only know me by my name and my flakiness ( xD ), that and the fact that I'm a writer but I did promise to post in here with the new introductory bio so here it is.
1. How long have you been a Charmed fan?
Since 1998, like most Charmed fans, duh. Everyone who knows me knows it's my #1 obsession so that tells you it's been a constant fan-crush of mine.
2. Have you seen (a) every episode more than once, (b) every episode at least once, (c) most of the episodes, (d) fewer than half of the episodes?
Every episode, multiple times, over the years, sometimes with Spanish/French subtitles and audio, on a big screen projector, with different video effects (color changing, puzzle boxed effect, upside down, etc..), and even while drunk. Needless to say I've watched Charmed any and every way possible.
3. Do you still watch Charmed (on TV, online, video or DVD)? If yes, do you watch (a) every day, (b) once or twice a week, (c) a few times a month, (d) a few times a year?
I go on these little hiatuses where I FORCE myself NOT to watch Charmed for a long period of time so when I do start watching it again, it will feel brand-new to me and give a sense of nostalgia. Dorky, I know. But you guys should try it. It's pretty much the only exciting way to watch it nowadays for me as I've outplayed it in my household for sure.
4. How long have you been in the online fandom?
Since around 2004 I want to say. I started out joining Charmed RPG forums and Charmed RPG groups in Yahoo messenger Chatrooms (OMG Remember those!?)
5. How do you feel about the finale and the way the show ended? (a) loved it, (b) liked it, (c) had mixed feelings, (d) disliked it, (e) hated it?
LOVED IT! I cried like three times during the finale and I rarely cry for the TV. I especially got goosebumps when the manor blew up and Piper was holding a dead Phoebe in her arms. And I bawled my eyes out during the final scene where Piper and Leo walk up the stairs and past the photographs of all the years of memories.
6. Rank the seasons from most to least favourite.
Best seasons: FIVE, FOUR, TWO
Okay seasons: SEVEN, SIX
Meh! seasons: EIGHT, AND IN LAST PLACE, SEASON ONE

Extreme Makeover: World Edition (Sooooo sad. Phoebe's premonition of past innocents lost was gold!)
A Witch In Time (Poor Miles. Piper is just so damn good in this ep. And Phoebe's red jacket though!)
All Halliwell's Eve ("Oh, you've made that clock so small, you must posses great powers." Haha gets me everytime.)
Witchstock ("They have no rights, they have no powers. Turn their hate sticks into flowers." Oh, Penny)
Bottom 5:
A Call To Arms (Why does this episode exist again? For a season premiere, it's lame and rushed. Sorry, not sorry)
Secrets and Guys (Feels more like a bad episode of NCIS or something)
The Power of Two (Phoebe's premonition of Piper missing her flight was the only highlight for me, nuff said)
Rewitched (ONLY because the imp master creeps me out)
The Jung and the Restless (Very rushed. Very on-the-nose. And Billie... just very stupid for falling for Christy's mind games and turning her back on the sisters based off their dreams. Come on, now)

3: Darryl Morris and his ever humorous reluctance to be apart of the magical world

6: Katya. "You guardians are always dying for that damned box!"
7: Jenny from next door, oh my god, I miss her so much! They should've brought her back.
8: Victor Bennett. The REAL Victor. Not that un-look-a-like impostor from season 1.

Paige && Glenn
Phoebe && Miles
Paige && Nate
Piper && Greg
Mostly, all the short-lived relationships.
10. Do you read and/or write fanfiction? Any particular type? Do you follow any of the virtual seasons?
Not only do I write fanfiction, but I'm a HUGE and avid roleplayer in the online Charmed RPG community. I mostly write original characters, future gen, crossovers, and little cute short stories that capture the essence of Charmed.
11. Are you a fan of any other witch themed shows?
Witches of East End, The Vampire Diaries/The Originals, Eastwick, Salem, Sleepy Hollow, Emerald City, Secret Circle, Just Add Magic ( A MUST watch for Charmed fans, such a cute show), and The Worst Witch (Don't judge me)
12. What are your other favourite shows, if any?
Pretty Little Liars, Misfits, Marvel/DC Shows, Friends, Girlfriends, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, Mom, American Housewife, Lucifer, Empire, Star, Blindspot, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Good Girls, Shameless, Kevin Probably Saves The World, ugh, too many to name. But you get the point by now.

YEARS AND YEARS AGO. I joined for the RPG section but saw it was dead. Instead of leaving, I realized there were real, legit Charmed fans on here and it's been a bookmark in my browser ever since!

I like the middle-late of Charmed so mixture of both. Specifically seasons 2-6

Hey. I basically just signed up. I will answer both questionnaires. Name you want to go by: You can call me Markus. I'm actually considering changing my displayed name to Markus Halliwell or something similar. Age: 24 Favorite Charmed character and why: I'm looking at the next generation of the Charmed ones, meaning the children of Piper, Phoebe and Paige. I'm particularly interested in the half Witch/half Cupid children of Phoebe, to see what array of powers they would show if we were given a proper sequel that is actually well-done and not a money-grab. Also, Wyatt and Chris because they are the first male witches we saw that aren't depicted as evil and neither as seemingly-useless. Favorite Season: I can't decide between the one where the Charmed ones became goddesses, despite disliking the representation of divinity the show gave, and the one where we see an adult good Wyatt. Favorite Episode: Season Five finale. Other shows you watch: currently, I'm giving a chance to the Charmed Reboot, although I didn't like the pilot at all and I find the changes quite controversial. I'm not currently watching anything else that is not animated (anime). Anything else you want to tell us!  Well, I watched other TV shows in the past. No, but I would like some pointers to get started with everything you mentioned. Possibly even build a play-by-chat RPG which is a very popular free genre in my country and that I haven't seen in other country. Just Witches of East End. I would've been a fan of The Secret Circle if it wasn't so poor an adaptation of the novel series. But that seems to happen to her books, just like the controversy she had with the The Vampire Diaries producer over copyright issues because of the dumbed-down adaptation. 12. Teen Wolf but nothing else that is live action. For anime, obviously Fairy Tail. 15. What is your occupation?
Currently looking for a job that hasn't do with being a call center operator, a salesman or with cleaning bathrooms. 16. What country are you from?

c, I think. I have seen every episodes from seasons 1, 2, 3, 4. Less episodes from seasons 5 and 6. And I didn't watch seasons 7 and 8, except the finale.

Rarely. I watch three or four episodes each year I think.

My least favourite : I don't know really. I hate episodes when charmed ones have an incoherent attitude, like in That Old Black Magic by example.

Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Paige. Andy. Leo. Claire Pryce. Brendan Rowe. Tempus. And others. But Prue, especially in season 1 is my favourite.

I think my favourite is Prue/Andy. Intense, but realistic. And I appreciate that Prue and Andy don't sacrify themselves for the relationship. Each other know who they are, independantly of their love. It's not in the question, but my worst love pairing is Piper/Dan ^^.
10. Do you read and/or write fanfiction? Any particular type? Do you follow any of the virtual seasons?
Never.
11. Are you a fan of any other witch themed shows?
No.

When I was a teenager, I loved Dawson's creek. Now, I like The Handmaid's Tale, Bates Motel, and "Les petits meurtres d'Agatha Christie", a french TV show.

I go by PrueArising and I am almost 24 years old.
I would say that my favorite character is Prue because she is driven, responsible and so intelligent. But the one I'm more like is Piper. I am a mother, a hopeless romantic and a worry wort haha
I would say that my favorite season of the Original Charmed would be season 2. They are getting comfortable in their crafts, each learning and growing. You can see the strength in the original P3 really rise is season 2.
My favorite episode well, I can't pick. Sorry!!! I just can't pick ONE haha.
I am watching the new Charmed. I watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Unbreakable, any sort of documentary and some sitcoms like Friends.
I am also a mother, a spouse, I practice witchcraft and go to school. Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself and have a wonderful rest of your time ❤

I'm glad you liked Elemental Charmed and the other Fanfics we have here too. Yes, me and Es are the eldest members here, I know we have another member older than me, but she hasn't posted here in a while. Is that Shadow Cat, Granny, or someone else? I didn't know that Shadow Cat was older than you. Jean, like the others, I'm happy to have a fellow Baby Boomer as part of the Café! We tend to look at Charmed a bit differently than the younger members do, although the older they get, the more they seem to look at it the way we do. But the absolute best part about the Café is that everyone is welcomed to their own opinion about Charmed no matter how unpopular that opinion is - as long as the member allows others that same right to express their opinion! We don't knock others just because they have a different opinion and posts don't vanish unless they were posted by someone who has broken this very important rule. I know you've been part of a site where that rule isn't followed, I hope you enjoy the fact that it is followed here. |
