OMG! I can't believe how very similar we are! You took the words right out of my mouth! Of course, I would've thrown Wyatt right out with him! Even tho the kid who played him was adorable (while Chris got played by a couple of fugly twin girls!), he shouldn't have been so powerful and he *shouldn't* have been a boy! It was only when someone pointed out to me how very similar to Prue Chris is, so I started thinking of him as her reincarnated could I stand him, and even then, just barely (Sorry, Prue!)
Leo was my favorite male character up until S6 (I sincerely wish that he had stayed exploded, as he was at the end of S5! Try explaining THAT one, Chris!) and until Piper became Miss Whinealot about her normal life, she and Leo were my favorite storyline on Charmed. But once they reached that point, shortly after the wedding (and the start of the strong-Kern-influence), that changed in a HURRY! Then I could do nothing but feel sorry for Leo!
Definitely off-topic, I'm afraid, but...

Well, you know what they say: "Great minds think alike." And there's nothing wrong with being 'The Tangent Queen'. I've been known to ramble quite a bit myself too.  Oh, geez. I completely forgot about Wyatt! Yup. He should've joined his little brother in being thrown out the window too. *start rant* Plus it was totally unfair how powerful he was. He had more powers than his mother and 3 aunts combined --- and that's not right! *end rant* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry, I'm gonna go a little off topic here -- Enjoy! And "Kernus, the Demon of Inconsistancy" --- I would love to wring his neck for what he did to one of my favorite shows. What makes me laugh is the latest issue of the Charmed mag (Which by the way, is centered around Prue. Finally. It's about freaking time!) Anyhow, in the 'Ask Brad' section, there's a completely classic letter. I'll type it out here: the italics are my thoughts.Q: If Prue had survived until the very end of the show, do you think she would have gotten married and had children like her sisters?A: "I guess so. I wanted the audience to have a happy ending and to look forward to a happy future. Umm, Kern -- that's not answering the original question. I'd always felt the girls had gone through so much Hell, both literally and figuratively, that i really wanted them to feel like they had a reward, a life to look forward to, at the end of it. Still not answering the question, moron! So I guess Prue would have had that as well. Finally! Answering the original question. It took you long enough! But, she was such a unique character and was so driven in fighting the power-hungry demons that it's a little hard to imagine she'd ever dis-engage from that completely. Maybe she'd be a little lost without having those battles to look forward to." Conclusion: Kern, you're an even bigger moron than I originally thought! |

ROTFLMFAO I can't believe we're wasting what might be our 700th post on Kernus, but... Oh, that is so, so, SOOOO true! It truly sounds like he didn't want Prue to be happy, doesn't it?? He is SOOO taking out his feelings for Shannen on Prue and that's SOOOO very unfair!
I'll always count Kernus as the true Big Bad of Charmed, and will *never* forgive him for ruining all of my favorite characters!
All but one.
My most favorite character.
Thank GOD she died before Kernus got too big of a hold on her!!
Now, THAT's better for the 700th one!
Rest in peace, Prue! No one deserves it more!

^ I know, but that letter was so completely classic that I couldn't help it. I love how he avoids answering the question at all possible costs. *rolls eyes* What an idiot! It's almost like he's afraid of the Prue fans --- which he should be....very, very afraid.

As I tell everyone, not that I don't like Paige, I truly do, but...
And truly, the Piper, Phoebe, Leo and Cole fans should all want to get him for what he did to their characters, too!

Yeah, I shudder to think of what would happen if we Prue fans ever got ahold of him. I can just see the headlines now:

Ahh, but I can only dream....
And I like Paige too, don't get me wrong....I just don't like her as much as Prue (but she still ranks right up there, especially during the later seasons). At the beginning I felt like she was kinda pushed on us, and I was still trying to get over the shock of losing my favorite. So I did not appreciate this "replacement", for lack of a better word, being shoved on me.
You're absolutely right. The Piper, Phoebe, Leo and Cole fans should go after him also for ruining their characters. But I have a funny feeling that it's the Prue fans who would like to see him suffer the most...and with good reason too! *evil grin*

Funny, for this particular Prue-fan, I'd have to disagree with you. I'm truly more angry with Kern for how badly he ruined Leo, Cole, Piper and Phoebe, especially with how very much I loved all four characters and how very much I ended up hating three of them (all but Cole). Although insulting Shannen to the point where she never allowed Prue to be seen, not even in the finale, oh, yes, for that we Prue fans could DEFINITELY rip him apart!
By the way, I didn't get a chance to see the video yesterday (Sunday). My friend was already watching a video, Star Wars, and when she has one on, I know better than to ask for a different one--it *is* after all, her place! So I'll try next week. Oh, rats, no, I won't! She's gone next weekend! Fudge! Well, maybe the following... I promise I will eventually.

That's fine sweetie, I can totally see where you're coming from there. I despised what he did to Piper, Phoebe, and Leo too -- especially since I loved those three characters at the beginning but absolutely couldn't stand them by the end of the series. And I loved Cole's character -- luckily he got outta there before Kern had a chance to ruin him too awful much (not that his character was getting ruined already by S5, but at least we didn't get to see him degenerate to the levels that Piper, Phoebe, and Leo did.)
But by far my biggest bone to pick with ol' Kernus is / was his treatment of Shannen --- ticking her off and insulting her so badly that we Prue fans never got a chance to see our favorite sister ever again. For that I'd like to tar and feather the guy and then tear him apart limb-from-limb myself (and I'm not a violent person, but he just steams me off).
btw- I went and read "The Root of All Evil" and I've gotta say that I loved it. Thanks for the reccomendation!

Well, I'll admit that he kinda redeemed Cole in Seventh Year Witch (along with Drake, the only part of that episode that I liked--I hated Piper dying AGAIN only to not stay dead, abhored the Elders being more like demons than the demons and HATED Leo becoming mortal, especially because he never became a whitelighter again!), but it didn't make up for what he did to Cole during S5--they truly should've let him stay vanquished in S4; I *hate* that they kept him around just for the 100th episode!
But the treatment of Shannen--unless he treated others that way but we never found out--was truly abhorrent!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed Root! Except for the fact that Chris is as much of a Harry Stu in her fics as Billie is a Mary Sue in S8, I always enjoy Aurora's fics.
Did you guess who the Root was? (Don't say who it was unless someone else wants to read it). What was your reaction? Don't you wish that the finale had been something like that???

As did I. Those were probably the best parts of the episode. Especially the bickering between Cole and Piper, and the dialogue between Cole and Drake. That was the send off Cole deserved -- instead of what he got in 'Centennial Charmed'.
Judging from what I've read about the guy, I wouldn't of put it past him to treat the others that way! And you're right, the way he treated Shannen was beyond abhorrent. As a matter of fact, I can't even come up with a better word to describe it.
Okay, one question at a time!
1) Yes I did guess who the Root was and I found it to be perfectly fitting.
2) Honestly, I cheered...loudly! My little dog looked at me as if I had just gone off my rocker.
3) In my dreams, the finale would have been something just like that. Ahh, I can only wish. ;D

We didn't even get to see her actually die OR ever come back as a ghost. He's shown himself to be such a male chauvinistic pig, that I'm sure he has, and if not him, then Aaron Spelling and/or Duke Vincent, if they were the ones behind it all. Postively abhorrent is about as good of a phrase as I can come up with. As discussed in a different thread, I *do* hope that someday, while I'm still around, that they do a TV movie showing what really happened behind the scenes of Charmed. I think it would be as interesting as the one I saw about Charlie's Angels or Three's Company. Similar situation, so I think it would be doable and interesting. Main difference, of course, Charmed was on The WB and not ABC like the other two. Oh, well! And all I can say back to all of that is AMEN! It's why seeing Forever Charmed was so hard when I had read this and other endings that were simply SOOO much better, and why I'll never forgive whoever was behind Shannen's firing for doing it the way it was done, so we couldn't see our own favorite sister in the finale! Thank God there are fans out there willing to make a video like this one; one I still hope to get a chance to see! |

I loved this video. But I was wondering about the episode when Prue died. I think I have seen every episode 3 times at least and I never can catch the one where Prue was killed. Does anyone know exactly which one it was? Although we never actually get to see her die, Prue is killed during "All Hell Breaks Loose", when she and Piper go flying out the window. Although we don't actually see it happen, we assume from what Piper says during "Charmed Again" that Leo only had time to heal one of them and he chose to heal his wife. As my siggy says, I'm not sure he made the right choice! |

Well, soon has become 2 months, but I *finally* got to see the video, since I'm at the apartment of a friend who has high-speed.
And tears are absolutely rolling down my cheeks. It was truly beautifully done and shows how much those two were best friends, even more than they were sisters. I only wish that Piper had truly kept part of her older sister within her, the way I've tried to keep my mom within me since she died.
Prue didn't let all of the deaths she suffered--even the death of her own soulmate--change her and make her cold and bitter and self-centered the way Prue's death changed Piper from the middle sister who I loved to the *whatever* that I abhored. It's because I remembered the warm, funny, caring Piper of the earlier years that I so hated the one from the latter ones and missed Prue even more.
Even after all of those deaths, Prue still remembered her duty to the innocents and not just to her own family. She was still able to laugh, still able to tease, still able to love and be close to her sisters. I admired her the most for that trait of being able to bounce back.
I wish that like the song in the tribute, Piper had been able to keep that wonderful, best part of Prue within her, so that through her we could've remembered Prue and allowed her to continue to live through Piper, the way I hope through me, people remember my mom and allow her to continue to live through me. Such a shame that Kern didn't let Piper give this one last present to her best friend.

Now that I have high-speed I was able to watch it and it's good, but not half as well done as the one Drewsfan showed us. This one made me snuffle; that one me bawl like a baby! This one didn't fit the song even half as well as that one did.
