Don't be so literal. Demon and warlock both play for the same team in Piper's eyes and falling for either of them would've had pretty much the same effect on her.

I have to agree with Maracev on this one. For Piper (and Phoebe and Prue), the difference between warlock and demon is technical. Each plays for the wrong side (from the perspective of the Charmed Ones). True, each may have different abilities and blink or shimmer or flame as befits their status. But, Jeremy, as a warlock, was as much of a threat to nascent Charmed Ones as Zankou was to much older (and wiser) Charmed Ones later. Does it really matter that Zankou was an upper level demon endowed with many, many powers? Hardly. He could just as easily have destroyed the Charmed Ones as could a first season Jeremy!

Excuse me?
Since warlocks were portrayed as witches gone bad . . . and witches are humans, why would a warlock go into game face? And since Piper knows the difference between a warlock and a demon, why would she say that Phoebe was not the first to be hurt by a demon?

Like we said: don't be so literal!?! Piper doesn't always get things right. Nor do the other sisters for that matter. Now usually that's not because of bad writing. It's simply a reflection of reality. None of us perfectly describes things all of the time. So why should we expect Piper when making a casual comment to Phoebe? On the other hand, it is stupid for Paige to ask how they (her half-sisters) vanquished the Source the last time when we know darn well that Paige participated completely. That offhand remark makes absolutely no sense and is an example of bad writing!

Ljones: You're really out of line here. It was a TV show with changing writers and directors who did not always know every bit of Charmed history. You're right about what you're saying, I don't think anyone is arguing your specific point, but just trying to explain why this may have happened. All they are saying is that evil is evil to the sisters, or more accurately, to the writers. When you have such a long running show, mistakes like this will happen, but worry not, as there will be no further such transgressions now, with the show being over.

If you choose to post in a public forum, then you are inviting a response to what you say. If you don't like the response you get, then you have a choice. Deal with it or ignore it. Unfortunately, a public forum is read by many, many people, people who may or may not agree with you. When you make a claim that is outrageous (Darryl's soul was raped by Phoebe and Paige in Valhalla of the Dolls Part 1) or unsubstantiated (Phoebe set out to murder Rick) and that claim is clinically dissected, then the purpose is for clarification. I don't want other readers to take your outrageous points of view seriously. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen is an old aphorism that seems appropriate here.
I am probably one of the few remaining Charmed fans who will even take the time to read carefully and reflect upon what you write. (I have received PMs from others whom I have PMed when I am so frustrated with what you constantly carp about. From them I am consoled with a simple turn of phrase: why bother? or life's too short!) When I agree with you, I agree with you. When I don't, I explain why. What more can you expect or demand?
In the past, you have claimed that I've mis-interpreted you. Hardly. If I don't understand something, I usually ask for clarification. If I misconstrue something and then I am enlighted later, I am deeply appreciative. All too often, though, it seems as if when I correctly understand what you are writing and criticize it fairly and appropriately, you just seem to want to hyperventilate. That's your problem, not mine!
Amazingly, what's at issue here is whether a warlock can have a "game face". Gosh, I wish I knew what a game face was and how that's relevant? But, Maracev and I focused on what we thought was really a grasping at straws: whether Piper somehow confused Jeremy as a demon, when, in fact, he was a warlock. I am reminded of Witch's Tale, Part 1 (the denouement) when each introduces themselves to Mylie's boyfriend. Paige says "witch". Leo says "angel" and Phoebe says "mermaid". Of course, this prompts Paige to remind Phoebe that she's a witch. "Don't you mean witch?" Still, Leo is not really an angel. He's a whitelighter. Golly, should I take this so literally to the extent that I yell contradiction since Leo denied in Season 3 that he was an angel yet now in Season 6 he claims that he is. Hardly! The context suggests that the comment was casual. Don't take it so literally!
So, why on Earth would I still bother to reply apart from seeking to clarify for the audience? Well, therein lies the answer. It is through a careful dissection of the issue - examining it from all sides - that I gain - I hope - a better understanding, an understanding that I would like to share. Sometimes, I am not always correct. And, I have immensely benefitted from the comments of Xenith, Spiritkas and Maracev - to mention but a few - who have helped me achieve even greater clarity and have even caused me to modify one or more views. That's precisely what John Stuart Mill had in mind when he composed "On Liberty". It's an excellent tome. I highly recommend reading it.

Piper is the coolest sister, I mean, she has two children, a gorgeous husband, a club!! I mean, she does actually moan about not having a normal life, but I think 2.4 children and a husband with a stable house is a good, normal life. Every family has its flaws though... Piper is just great.

A very methodical, logical and revelant argument, vandergraafk.
Anyways, I'd just like to say that Piper is the best! ...and who agrees with me about Piper having the best powers? (except for her sons, of course!)

I love her powers. Being able to blow things up and freeze things could be a lot of fun.

Yes, except that Piper's power to decelerate particle motion (to freeze, if you will) seems to be made moot upon touching the other person. In terms of the contact sport that many of you are imagining, and what Piper was alluding to, how exactly was she able to freeze Leo. Perhaps all she did was slow down the motion in order to gratify herself. Now, what were the consequences of all of this personal gain? The traumatic path of Leo and Piper? Just asking!

I actually wasn't leaning that way. I don't have the same mind set as it seems others do.
