I'm guessing possible bad news (considering it's from a doctor) is that she has breast cancer. She faced this before earlier in S1 of the original so it would be possible that it might resurface. Other than that, I'd be pretty stumped. Maybe she can't have kids? I don't know...
What possible drama could they create for Kelly and Brenda at this point in their lives?! Dylan is no longer a problem so really what is left? Is Kelly going to murder Brenda's parents? Now that's drama. Last time I checked, that was more on the Melrose side... or was it?
... I find it positively hilarious how I'm such a polar opposite of both Primrose and Assassin... I seem to be on the side that likes Annie and Ethan (I think it's because I like Ethan and I always perceive Annie [Shenae] as the good Canadian girl) and desperately wants to make Silver into a big lesbian because the show needs a gay character and it's pretty obvious that her search for anti-coolness is clearly her way of saying she likes girls. Maybe her and Annie should get together?

Anyone catch last nights eppie? Annie drunk totally made me LOL! Aw poor Naomi seeing Annie & Ethan together. It's sorta obvious that she still has feelings for him. Man. This show is totally going nowhere. At least some shows (take Charmed for example), has a beginning to the season, a middle, and an ending. Tsk tsk! This show will start losing viewers. I've already changed my ringtone so... Sorry, I was busy paying attention to something that I care about. Why did they put a new ep during ELECTION DAY? Psst, they've been on a downward spinal since Day 1. It doesn't surprise me that there's nothing to it. So, is it worth catching?

I think they are making SOME gradual progress... the Navid/Adrianna storyline was absolutely wonderful and I'm loving the way that's going.
I'm glad they're giving Annalynne McCord (Naomi) a lot to do on the show because I think she's a talented actress no matter what Dan and Jessi (from the MTV After Show) say. Unfortunately, what they're doing next episode seems like it'll only make me hate Annie (because I don't now).
Does anyone KNOW why Annie couldn't just talk to Naomi about her wanting to be with Ethan? I mean her feelings for him go back BEFORE Naomi. Even still, Naomi and Annie are new friends and so the friends not dating friends exes rule may not apply. I don't know........ I think it'd be worse if Silver dated him but she never would because she'd view him as the epitome of everything she hates.
ALSO, we learn that Annie's father is NOTHING like Brenda/Brandon's father... when he learns Annie's been drunk he helps her out and forgets that he's angry with her. Would Jim Walsh do that? NO.

Wasn't that bad. I liked the four girls having a (drunk) sleepover. I hope they're all four friends now. Naomi so likes Ozzie! YES! AE make me gag. STOP IT! I liked Dixon's reaction to the news, but I don't know, I feel that Annie's reaction was over the top. I don't understand why she was so upset. Her parents lied to her? Seriously, wtf. They knew by had no intention of finding him. So, why tell the kids? I don't know, I've never had that experience, but she was over the top. I would expect Dixon to have the stronger reaction, but his was a great one. Very fitting. AN! She's so confused on WHY he likes her. Poor girl. I'm glad he stopped them and she went over to him and they talked and are together! YAY! *SQUEAL* I admit, the ending with Annie and her father....the actress did a good job on that scene. (And the drinking...)

And she's not even of age to drink in America yet So? Lots of people can act it whether they can or cannot drink.

I don't think she played it that well... well... her performance was off-and-on... but I'm pretty sure she's had that experience. I don't know many teenagers who haven't (I've never been drunk).
Mind you, Shenae is legal up here if she's 19. So she can come home and drink to her heart's content. Lol.
I was also really confused of why Annie was so infuriated with her father. I mean he only found out two months ago and he needed to figure out what he thought and how he felt. I don't know... I agree that he reaction was a little over-the-top.

*nods* I would imagine Dixon having the bigger problem considering he's adopted, so I can understand it. I just can't comphrend why Annie was so ... whatever she was. Pissed off?

Would the word be that she was rebelling against her father after that? Disobeying his order and such? Yeah, she definitely rebelled out. I can see the rebelling out, but the other stuff with the moaning and bitching about the "lying" and all that was too much for me.

Yeah, she definitely needed to cut her dad some slack. It's like she thinks it was easy for him or something...
Mind you, she did kind of hit it on the nail (is that the expression?) when she made a comment about when he was her age he was making babies. I foudn that funny. Mind you, that just means that he'd have even more authority because he knows that he wasn't ready at that age for sex (which seems to be a running theme in Desperate Housewives).

Seeing as this thread's been pretty quiet for awhile, I figured that it was time for some new reading material. While this doesn't really have to do with the new show -- wait. I guess it does, seeing as the crack monkey writers that were used before episode 10 insisted on bringing D/K back into the picture, thereby pissing off 99.99% of the original fanbase. This is lovingly dedicated to every anti-D/K fan out there. (As much as I would love to take credit for it, I can't. All credit goes to 4brathan&brucas from FF.net's BH90210 board.)Do you want to read a summary of the D/K relationship so you don´t have to torture yourself watching them? Here it is:
It's like, "Ooh, we saw Casablanca together, so now we must start quoting romantic lines from it to turn each other on, and indulge ourselves in a sleazy summer fling because Brenda's not around at the moment, then later decide that we have an obvious deep connection because we both have sucky parents and sucky lives.
So what if Brenda's back? We are soulmates, duh...oh, and we have sex every now and again. Then we fight. A lot. That lasts at least an hour before Brenda's name is brought into the argument and duh! Dylan is still in love with her, but so what? D/K is kindergarten love. It must not be diminished.
Even if we don't really want to be together and we both have a thing for the Walsh twins...to hell with it. Let's break up and jump into bed with Brenda and Brandon 10 minutes later. What's wrong with that? That is where the true love REALLY is. But never forget - we were together in another life. It was written in the stars...destiny."

I don't think they'd kill her off... I think they'd come close to it just to give Shannen an excellent chance to show off how much of a good actress she is.
Does anyone know if her episode is coming soon? I know Jason Priestley's episode is supposed to come after the winter break. (His directing episode that is)

Foxfire, I hope beyond all hope that you're right and that they're not going to kill Bren off, but just come close to it. I mean, what's the point in bringing her back after all this time just to kill her off? That would totally rip the hearts out of Shannen / Brenda fans.
All I have to say is they have huge gonads if this is indeed the plan. Even though I am fully aware that this show is a spin-off with new fans and new faces, they cannot forget that Brenda Walsh is and was an iconic character. Killing her would make a lot of old-school fans ticked off and I don't think they want to do that.
It's a slap in the face to me personally as an old-school BH 90210 fan and they should be trying to keep us around considering I don't think a show in history has had such loyal fans as the original.
Ticking off the original fans would be suicide. Writers, producers, whoever is listening, DON'T YOU DARE. There are some things you just do not mess with -- and iconic characters like Bren are one of them.
To see how she is fourteen years later has been such a treat for not only those of us who felt the character was always given a raw deal but also for Shannen fans who just enjoy seeing her grace our screens again. Even though I understand Shannen agreed to do some episodes, I would like to see Brenda have a happy ending or at least something close to it if at all possible.
I believe one of her two episodes (as she's signed on for #11 & 12) is the one this coming Tuesday. And if I heard correctly, there will not be another new one until January -- which may very well end up being the one Jason directs.

Jason did say he would love to direct an ep with the oldies. UGH! Killing off a character from the original show would be stupid. Especially a charrie who guest stars on the show. Kill of Dylan or something (he won't ever appear). Or someone less loved. Someone who won't appear. It's disrespectful to kill off a character who's actor is willing and is currently ON THE SHOW.

Technically, all we know is that Brenda gets "bad news from the doctor" which could range anywhere from someone in her family's died, she's pregnant, has a disease, or she's got a lazy ovary. We really don't know... I hate to say it but when Kelly returned last week I will admit to feeling at ease. I thought that I'd be better off without her ever coming back but having Kelly back seemed to balance off some of the major drama going on. She's kind of turned into an anchor. She also seems to be a pretty good foil for the Principal (forgetting his first name as of this moment) and I like her scenes with Silver. You know what might be relatively interesting? Doing a spin-off with Shannen and Jennie... just to separate the two shows and give us our weekly Shannen fix. Then again, I am just joking... sort of.

Exactly. It's all just speculation and rumors at this point in time -- typical November sweeps gossip. If the powers that be at the CW wanted some buzz generated about this show in order to get more viewers tuning in on Tuesday to find out what (if anything) happens, then they most certainly succeeded. I don't tend to trust the spoilers / speculation / gossip any further than I can throw them, since most of it turns out to not be true a great majority of the time -- but it does make for some fairly interesting discussion. As much as she pissed me off in Ep 6 with what she said to and how she treated Bren, it was kind of nice seeing her back and getting a conclusion to the whole "will they or won't they work it out" drama. Of course, I'm not ashamed to admit that when I heard her say that it didn't work out, an expression resembling this ;D crossed my face and I went "Yes! Score two points for anti-D/K!" I also enjoy her scenes with Silver when we get 'em, but would love to (not that it'll ever happen) see Silver have some scenes with her big brother David too. Heck, throw in another couple with Jackie or even Mel -- let's get the whole family involved.
Was doing a little surfing of the 'net tonight and found this treat for all you K/B fans out there -- and those of us who wish the "who's the daddy" reveal had gone a slight bit differently. Enjoy! Brandon is the Father of Kelly's Child

You're more than welcome, AW. I wish that was how all of this actually turned out; maybe then I wouldn't have all these mixed feelings about the bad fanfic that they're trying to pass off as a spin-off.
Speaking of the bad fanfic... For those who have seen the new epi of 90210, what did you think of the dinner scene between Brenda and Kelly? Here are my two cents: For once, Brenda wasn't going to carry along with Kelly's wishes, she was being adult and honest about their not having anything in common anymore, yet this got her dismissed by Kelly because for once someone in that twisted friendship was being honest. And it wasn't driven by jealousy, like Kelly's barbed comments in season 4, but by the true fact that they now have nothing in common. There isn't even the gang there to buffer their friendship along. To me, that restaurant scene was crucial, a true reality check for both of them. Brenda tries to be gathered and mature, and Kelly stays in her land of denial and conflict (no offense to the Kelly-fans). I honestly thought the Brenda / Kelly friendship could have reasonably ended a long, long time ago, but their last scene together in the S4 finale really had them in a good spot. The "Eat your heart out, Dylan McKay" line and them laughing...maybe Donna was a glue that held them together more than we realized. I'm a bit sad that they did even more of a hatchet job on Brenda's character by having her sleep with Ryan -- that's not the Bren I remember and loved. It was the most OOC thing they've had her do on the show since she's always had such a strong moral conscience. But to be honest, I´m not even surprised anymore. Just sad that they thought this is what Brenda fans would want to see. *shakes head* If there was something I thought they could do right on this show after I heard Jennie and Shannen were back, it was the Brenda / Kelly relationship. But they only made it worse. They need to stop writing characters they don´t know. Since Brenda and Kelly belong to a much better, more honestly written show of the past, that's how I'll choose remember them. As for this "spin-off", I'll let it be whatever it ends up being. Because as far as I'm concerned -- it's a total AU -- especially for the original BH 90210 characters.

I hate that Brenda slept with Ryan. I don't understand why she wouldn't. I'm not a big Brenda fan (mostly because I saw more college years than HS, granted the show started in 1990 and I was born in 1989...yeah..), but I don't like them recreating the past like that.
I love the Silver/Adrianna friendship. They got two scenes together! (Well, one with Ethan, but still.)
Absolutely hate AE of course. And Annie in general.
And the son? Something wrong with him.
I kinda want this show to get cancelled, or at least just have Silver, Dixon, Adrianna, Navid, Naomi, and Ozzie star in it.
OH! N/O! I really like them.
