I have a dilemma: I currently work in a position similar to what I'm studying for that pays pretty well for someone my age with my experience. A new position just opened up in the same entity but in a department which is much closer to my studies. I want to apply because it would make me more marketable for future employment and it would be a great experience. But I don't want to apply because it would be slightly less pay and a slightly less enjoyable environment (still nice though). I asked my parents for advice and they had different opinions. What to do, what to do?

In the end, it's always your decision but you need to find out what you want most. Like for me working as a foreign trader, because I like languages and work with different countries and people. I'm fascinated with different cultures. But so far, no chance here. Yes, I know I could go abroad but that would mean leaving my Mom alone, totally alone.

Chrisaholic's right. I wouldn't have worked with children as long as I have if I didn't like what I did originally so there you have it there then.

And now the bank I work at opened up a full-time position as well. So I have three choices. I'm leaning toward staying where I am though. I like the people too much to leave.

My friend David doesn't work but bikes a lot also when it's nice weather if his knees not playing up.
I'm picking my new car up tomorrow that been a Peugeot 306 automatic red colour 'cause my Vauxhall Corsa needs work on it to pass MOT in August which'll cost £250 and cars worth £400 only which isn't worth fixing so will scrap it instead.

Aw, I need to wash my car but everytime I intend to do it, it rains. lol However, my bike has become my best partner for everything: daily routines, shopping, biking tours and so on.

I haven't rode a bike since my teens though my friend wouldn't mind if I did though as it would give us something different to do besides look round shops all the time although we have been other different places before though.
He says 'Why can't I meet women riding as they're some really nice looking ones when you do' which I do laugh at sometimes though.

Hehe. Just looked what I might order next time I'm at Mom's. But no more than 20-25 €, I think. In July I need to order yet again. *sighs* And I negotiate with my Mom already for my X-Mas and birthday present. I have something special in mind and it's expensive but with a long guaranty. I want to devide the money for both, her and me who pays a half. I know it's still a long time till then. I just wanted her to let know of that fact.

I've decided to stay where I am. I was planning on staying here until I finished my bachelor's degree anyway. And I was with you for the car wash thing. The pollen and bird poop made my car disgusting, but every time I went to wash it, they said it would rain. When I finally did wash it, it rained the very next day. Now all the pollen is stuck to it again

Yeah, but once you need to free it from the winter and summer dirt. I just don't know when and if my money is enough for that, yet I need to do that. My bike gets washed as well every autumn before I send in winter sleep. lol

There's a new deal at the local car wash, unlimited washes for $15/month sold on a month-by-month basis. I was considering it...

In Britain depending where you go you can get your car hand washed for £5 the same and vaccumed inside for £10 then all that plus wax polish between £15-£20.
Some local petrol garages have machine operated car washes which you pay for inside and get a token that you place in the slot machine before having it done.
You have to vaccum your own car as it only washes the outside which's nothing if you do, do that and costs round about the same as hand wash, vaccum and polish which it does also if you don't mind the non personal touch otherwise it's doing it yourself homewise with something like Karcher power wash which are very good from what I've seen and heard and may work out better over the year cost wise although I do understand with family life and work it is easier getting that professionally done though.

My dad likes to hand wash his cars to save money. I prefer to go to the car wash next to a local gas station. They have several tiered packages ranging from $7-22 depending on what you want, but at this specific one, there are two free vacuums which is good because I would rather not pay for the vacuum if I don't have to. Basically this monthly deal would pay for itself in 2-3 visits.

I also use the closest gas station or any super offer. Of course, if I got enough money, I also clean it within. Hope to get that done in autumn as well before the next winter comes. When I'm on my one biking tour where there is a cleaning station, I always forget to watch the prices.

I need to get my new car fixed. My speedometer doesn't work sometimes and other times goes down then comes back up again a little while afterwards which a friend of mine thinks maybe due to the sensor in the front wheel axel having dust in there that's affecting it which might need cleaning out so of to a garage it is then.

^That's not good!
It's local election day today which means there will be no parking anywhere near the town offices so I guess I'm not going out for lunch today

A friend of mine and me, we plan a big bike for two days. Meaning mainly Saturday and Sunday. Naturally hoping to have a good weather and all will be good. I just had a huge bike repair, so not fun!! It's planned for June 27 and 28.
