Bumped in hopes that Astral Chaos will decide to post his Dream Charmed. He showed us how their jobs could've evolved in a different thread and I LOVE it! Now I want to read what else was going on with the Charmed Ones while their jobs were changing. Sure thing, Es. Most of this is from memory because I no longer have access to everything I wrote on the subject hence why it may seem slightly scattered and some parts will be more fleshed out than others. Each season would be between 12 to 16 episodes. There would be at least two mini-series to expand upon the Charmed universe without infringing on Charmed itself. So, here we go . . . Season OneKicks off pretty similarly to the original, starting with Serena Frederick's murder -- the differences being that my Serena is actually the great granddaughter of P. Bowen, is half witch and half warlock (in my world warlocks aren't witches who went bad but rather a type of magical being that are very closely related to witches [somewhat like lions and leopards] who, like witches, have the choice to be either good or evil), and Jeremy doesn't kill Serena -- and Phoebe returning to San Francisco from New York. Prue is working at the Museum and has been there for several years. Piper starts working at Quake in the first few episodes. EMMETT: Very interesting, you had Serena be the great granddaughter of P. Bowen, since it always bugged me they didn't do more with her. In my world, Grams is still alive. Comatose. But alive. She was poisoned. The poison presents to the outside world like a major heart attack but, what it actually does, is trap the victim in a perpetual nightmare, slowly draining their magical essence before it eventually kills them (my nod to " Dream Sorcerer"). This is later revealed to be what triggered the unbinding of the sisters powers, though, the process remained incomplete/the powers lay dormant until all three sisters were together, touching each other at the same time. EMMETT: Very different that Grams is still alive, even if comatose. Reminds me of Grimm, where Nick's aunt told him he was a Grimm then got attacked and went into a coma, she did wake up but die not long after. But first thing I thought of when you still had Grams here. A bit of a twist to what the outside world think it is like. Our primary big bad is a Seer . . . and she's here to stay (for several seasons). She orchestrates most of the mayhem which allows her to be present while being largely unseen. EMMETT: I love the Seer, and really like you having her as the major big bad for several seasons. Andy came back to San Francisco a month or so prior to Phoebe returning from New York. He and Prue encounter each other in the first episode and quickly rekindle some kind of a relationship. Prue leaves the Museum for Buckland Auction House (no Rex or Hannah, though) about halfway through the season and decides to tell Andy approx. two episodes later that she's a witch. He doesn't take it well/doesn't easily accept it and they break up, however, do fall into something of a friends-with-benefits arrangement by the end of the season. Andy doesn't die. EMMETT: I'm happy to hear Andy won't die. Leo would introduce himself to the sisters as their whitelighter around episode three or four. No pretending otherwise. Whitelighters and witches aren't supposed to involve themselves with each other romantically -- though it isn't outlawed/forbidden because free will -- as it creates ethical and moral issues. Piper and Leo do have a brief thing but it ends almost as quickly as it starts. EMMETT: I'm VERY happy and love that P/L relationship isn't ongoing. Phoebe has a couple of dates with nobody in particular and works a handful of odd jobs before returning to her studies toward the end of the season (studying education + psychology). EMMETT: Nice, I'm glad Phoebe is back to her studies. Two episodes that are repurposed from the original series and tweaked ever so slightly to fit within my canon but would stay more or less the same outside of that are " Dead Man Dating" and " The Witch is Back". EMMETT: Yes, two wonderful episodes in S1, glad you kept them even if changed to fit your canon. Briefly lay down a little Paige Easter egg (for her proper Season 4 introduction) with a simple interaction between Prue and Piper (Paige having a connection to Piper via a brief stint as a waitress at Quake, though the audience doesn't meet her yet), that would go something along the lines of: PRUE Is the goth waitress drunk? PIPER Usually. EMMETT: I love this little Easter egg for Paige. So she's not started working at SBSS, but is just a waitress at 21. I think she's about that age around this time. Toward the end of the season, Phoebe starts to suspect that Penny's condition is magical in nature. She enlists Leo in helping her figure out if it is and, assuming so, to fix Grams. Phoebe's hunch turns out to be correct and they are able to awaken Grams -- Leo's success in helping Phoebe do so is ultimately his death sentence. The Seer, enraged, arranges an attack on Leo by a darklighter and our season finale is something broadly similar to " Love Hurts" and in this episode we also find out that Piper is pregnant (from their earlier brief dalliance). EMMETT: Don't I wish the show had Leo not reappear after S1, but in a dream Charmed you are executive producer, he can go. Piper is pregnant now, that's a big twist, I didn't see coming. So Grams does wake up, so she'll stick around. But, I should figured that was possible, since she may as well have died in the first episode. I am curious what she'll do in S2. I remember I had it in mind that Phoebe and The Seer somehow have an innate block/cancel each other out psychically and neither is able to "see" the others future, past or present using their visions. I'll post more seasons when time permits. EMMETT: I'm looking forward to S2.

EMMETT: Very interesting. I'm glad you had Serena be the great-granddaughter of P. Bowen, since it always bugged me they didn't do more with her. ES: Agreed, totally. With that triquetra tattoo on her throat and the original owner of Kit (or as she called him/her "Shadow"), I always wondered if she was a Warren. I love her being the Halliwells' fourth cousin. EMMETT: Very different with Grams still alive, even if comatose. Reminds me of Grimm, where Nick's aunt told him he was a Grimm then got attacked and went into a coma, she did wake up but die not long after. But first thing I thought of when you still had Grams here. A bit of a twist to what the outside world think it is like. ES: I never watched Grimm, but I've seen other shows where they use a comatose character, but I love the idea of her in a perpetual nightmare (much as I HATE 'Dream Sorcerer' but only because I HATE being scared and that one terrifies me the way nothing in S3-8 does) that would eventually kill her. I also love the idea of it starting to unbind the sisters' powers which will be incomplete until the sisters are together. I wonder if in yours, unlike Phoebe reading the spell, if like Paige, the three Halliwells will meet underneath the chandelier when Phoebe comes home. Our primary big bad is a Seer . . . and she's here to stay (for several seasons). She orchestrates most of the mayhem which allows her to be present while being largely unseen. EMMETT: I love the Seer, and really like you having her as the major big bad for several seasons. ES: I LOVE stories where the Seer (and I hope it's the one played by Debbi Morgan) is the true Big Bad, the power behind the throne. Some friends and I did that where the sisters did not find out it was her until the end of the series. I'd love it if yours was something like that, but I'd want you to do it YOUR way, even if it's not like ours. ES: I am, too, especially if it means Leo stays in S1 where he belongs. But if he isn't - again, it's YOUR Dream Charmed, not mine. ES: Me, too. That's what makes me happiest about your S1. Phoebe has a couple of dates with nobody in particular and works a handful of odd jobs before returning to her studies toward the end of the season (studying education + psychology). EMMETT: Nice, I'm glad Phoebe is back to her studies. ES: Me, too. In ours, we had her come home in order to continue her studies, and she was the one who did the odd jobs that Canon Paige does.. That would be great if that's why in your work thread, she works at P3 while she's in school and gets her own once she's graduated. Wish that's what we had done! ES: I'm curious to find out what exactly you would have done with two of my favorite episodes - how you repurposed and slightly tweaked them. Please tell us! ES: I'm going to guess that like Phoebe, a Paige that young is still in college and won't join SBSS until after she graduates. I hate that she's still goth and Rose-like - I'd much prefer Paige if she was more like Melinda Gordon in "Ghost Whisperer" as played by Jennifer Love Hewitt. But again, she's YOUR Dream Paige, so if you want her to be like Rose, let her! ES: The fun of pretending to be Executive Producer! You can decide who you want to keep and who you want to let go - it has nothing to do with what happened in Real Life - even if I had fun doing that with my Dream Charmed. ------------ EMMETT: Piper is pregnant now, that's a big twist, I didn't see coming. ES: *sigh* So we're going to be stuck with a witchlighter. I was SO hoping that wouldn't be the case, but since you've introduced Paige, I should've known better. I just hope you don't let the kids overshadow the sisters, the way Canon Wyatt and Canon Chris did. BUT as always, if that's what you want in your Dream Charmed - go for it! ------------ EMMETT: So Grams does wake up, so she'll stick around. But I should figured that was possible, since she may as well have died in the first episode. I am curious what she'll do in S2. ES: I *kinda* like the idea of Grams being alive and *kinda* don't, since I prefer the sisters (and later their kids) figuring out things on their own, the main reason I prefer Leo staying in S1. But no doubt about it, I'm curious to see what you do with Grams, so again, do it YOUR way, not mine! I remember I had it in mind that Phoebe and The Seer somehow have an innate block/cancel each other out psychically and neither is able to "see" the others future, past or present using their visions. I'll post more seasons when time permits. EMMETT: I'm looking forward to S2. ES: Me, too. I hope time permits to give us more seasons very soon!

Season Two Set a couple of months after last season. Piper is approximately halfway through her pregnancy -- and, outside of a keen capacity to sense evil, has displayed no "pregnancy powers" --, is still working long hours at Quake and not entirely thrilled with the way her life is shaping up. A short time after Leo's death at the end of Season One, the Charmed Ones were assigned a new whitelighter, Natalie (anybody else remember her from "Blinded by the Whitelighter" . . . ? I always liked Natalie). Natalie, prior to her passing was one of the rare female doctors in the early 1940s, is largely overseeing Penny's ongoing recovery. Penny, for her part, remains frail and easily fatigued which means that, despite appearing in most episodes, isn't tremendously actively involved with much of anything.
Prue and Andy are still doing the friends-with-benefits thing. It suits their respective lifestyles. It continues on until the end of the season at which point Andy leaves San Francisco for a job elsewhere.
Phoebe is still studying and is loving it. She has a brief and non-serious fling with a mortal classmate.
Piper's plate is full and, as such, doesn't have the time nor the energy to be Prue and Phoebe's perpetual buffer/mediator. Without Piper acting as Prue and Phoebe's go between, we see a few prickly moments + an argument or two. However, this is all for the best. Prue and Phoebe, for the first time in the lives, have to not only properly address the issues they have with each other but actually work to resolve them instead of just brushing everything under the rug. It strengthens their bond and the sisterhood as a whole.
A prominent example of this being around Episode 4, when deadbeat dad Victor shows for the first time in close to two decades seeking to reconcile with the sisters. It's an episode with little to no magic and is much more focused on the mortal elements of their lives. Understandably, there is some friction between the three sisters -- primarily Prue and Phoebe -- but the episode ends with Prue and Piper choosing to not retain contact with Victor at the present time whereas Phoebe chooses to pursue that relationship with a mutual understanding between the sisters (specifically Prue and Phoebe) that they can have differences of opinion, they can do things that the other may not agree with, they can make different life choices and it's OK so long as whatever it is isn't harmful.
On that note, as a result of the sisters growing closer and truly building upon their sisterhood in a healthy way, in the last episode of the season, the Charmed Ones have a magical advancement which allows them to communicate with each other telepathically while maintaining physical contact.
Around mid-season, the sisters take an unexpected little trip into the past with an episode an akin to "That '70s Episode" (minus Nicholas and the no power rule). Before they leave, while hugging goodbye, Phoebe has a premonition of Patty giving birth -- she assumes this to be a vision of herself (it isn't).
Penny is absent for a few episodes because Natalie has taken her to Iceland to visit a coven with magical abilities that relate to things like energy flow, energy blockage, and the like in the hopes that they might be able to help with Penny's recovery.
The birth of Piper's baby is about two or three episodes after "That '70s Episode", would go less than smoothly and would take place over two episodes. (Heavily inspired by "Out of Sight") The Seer orchestrates for Prue and Phoebe to have a run in with some Grimlocks. While the two of them are occupied, she arranges for a different Grimlock to pay Piper a visit and steal her sight, the act of which triggers her to go into labour. From there, she impersonates Phoebe (vocally) in attempt to do something very naughty -- steal baby from Piper right after birth. Piper, though blind, is able to recognise that The Seer isn't Phoebe (she can sense evil through the baby). Piper, despite the blindness and the contractions, is able to evade The Seer for a brief time, though, eventually ends up cornered. At some point prior to her giving birth, Prue and Phoebe show up back home and The Seer retreats without the baby. Piper gives birth while still blind. The next day/episode, the three of them are somehow able to trace the Grimlock who took Piper's sight and vanquish him.
From here, the sisters place a protective spell on The Manor (the one we saw on "All Halliwell's Eve") which stops any evil beings paying them in-home visits in the future, providing they make sure to renew it regularly. As a baby present, Prue and Phoebe pool together some money and used it to buy Piper shares in Quake.
Piper names her baby Leonora Patricia Halliwell. She can sense evil. Her other ("main") power is the ability to freeze a person/object/animal etc . . . via a combination of the photokinetic spheres that lie in the vast arsenal of whitelighter powers and the Warren power to freeze. Never develops any other power.

Penny, for her part, remains frail and easily fatigued which means that, despite appearing in most episodes, isn't tremendously actively involved with much of anything. EMMETT: I love Natalie too, especialy her always sticking to the rules. I love her addition here. I like that she has her medical background to help Grams out. I do like that Grams is here, but not taking the spotlight as a star the way Cole, Leo and Darryl did in the canon show. Piper still working at Quake, I love it. I always wished Quake didn't go away after one season. Best part no pregnancy powers for Piper. Prue and Andy are still doing the friends-with-benefits thing. It suits their respective lifestyles. It continues on until the end of the season at which point Andy leaves San Francisco for a job elsewhere. EMMETT: I'm glad Andy didn't die, but just relocates, but who knows, he could reappear. Phoebe is still studying and is loving it. She has a brief and non-serious fling with a mortal classmate. EMMETT: I'm glad she is still studying, and has a brief and non-serious fling with a classmate, that reminds me of the guy she did have a one-off thing with in Animal Pragmatism, as a date. EMMETT: She sure has her plate full. So I get why she doesn't have time to get in the middle of Prue and Phoebe's affairs, when she should take care of herself. I'm glad Prue and Phoebe strength their bond. A prominent example of this being around Episode 4, when deadbeat dad Victor shows for the first time in close to two decades seeking to reconcile with the sisters. It's an episode with little to no magic and is much more focused on the mortal elements of their lives. EMMETT: Very different set-up with Victor. I do like that it isn't so happy at the end, that two of them choose to not retain contact, but one does. Makes sense Phoebe does. I'm just so glad the sisters can get along, even if they have different life choices, as long as nobody is harmed, that's all that matters. On that note, as a result of the sisters growing closer and truly building upon their sisterhood in a healthy way, in the last episode of the season, the Charmed Ones have a magical advancement which allows them to communicate with each other telepathically while maintaining physical contact. EMMETT: I remember this like that spell in 'They're Everywhere', but this one is just one or the sisters to communicate with eachother. EMMETT: Vision of Patty having Paige or another daughter? Penny is absent for a few episodes because Natalie has taken her to Iceland to visit a coven with magical abilities that relate to things like energy flow, energy blockage, and the like in the hopes that they might be able to help with Penny's recovery. EMMETT: Again, she isn't taking over. I like that she's not in all the episodes. I do hope she makes a full recovery. But, now, I'm still wondering if Penny will be the one killed in an season ending like All Hell Breaks Loose. The birth of Piper's baby is about two or three episodes after "That '70s Episode", would go less than smoothly and would take place over two episodes. (Heavily inspired by "Out of Sight") The Seer orchestrates for Prue and Phoebe to have a run in with some Grimlocks. The next day/episode, the three of them are somehow able to trace the Grimlock who took Piper's sight and vanquish him. EMMETT: What drama and suspense around the birth of Piper's child. Double terrifying for he to lose her sight. EMMETT: Good idea to do a protection spell. I love that they pool together some money so she can buy shares in Quake. That would make Piper so happy. EMMETT: I love the name of the baby, and that its a girl. Oh, so this is the baby's power right? Not Pipers, just had to re-read this twice, and it does sound like the baby's power. I'm just glad she never develops any other power, but for me, I'd prefer it being a power that is different than her mothers. All in all, I enjoyed Season 2, and can't wait for Season 3.

I have often stated what my dream Charmed would be but let's break it down shall we:
Season One:
Prue would be working in the first two episodes along side her boyfriend Roger. Prue would then learn of an affair between Roger and her co-worker/former friend Tracey. Which leads her to quit working at the Museum and end her relationship with Roger at the same time, she would later be sought out by Rex and Hannah Buckland, to be an appraiser for their Auction House, that has been in the family for three generations.
Piper would be interviewing for the job at Quake, which she would get. Jeremy would be Piper's fiancé in the first episode when he is later vanquished by the sisters after being discovered as a Warlock.
Phoebe who was previously a bartender in New York City would then be unemployed when she arrives to the Manor after the bar she was working at closed. She never had a serious relationship. However she does have money in savings, which she would use to help financially with the Manor.
This season would heavily focus on rebuilding the sisters relationship after Tracey accuses Phoebe of having an affair with Prue's boyfriend Roger, which unfortunately Prue believes. Prue would have to come to the realisation that she previously had biases towards her own sister and that she had believed someone over Phoebe. Piper was caught in the middle with both Prue and Phoebe using her as a personal therapist.
Like the series as shown, it's Phoebe who unleashes their power however Prue is more cynical than Piper. In the first episode Jeremy is vanquished at the Manor after attacking the sisters with them using the "Power Of Three" spell which can be found at the back of their Spirit Board.
They continue throughout the season, vanquishing Warlocks like; Javna, Jade De'Mon (I have named her that because I hated how they called a demon/warlock after the Goddess Of Magic) and Barbas etc, they vow to use their powers effectively and responsibly.
Prue begins a friends-with-benefits relationship with a fling she met in High School by the name of Andy Trudeau. Piper meets and falls in love with a handyman named Leo, which we later find out is an Angelic Healer whose mission is to help guide and heal their Innocents. Phoebe just wants to focus on Witchcraft and with the money she has saved up, she divides up between helping out financially with the house and stocking up on witchy supplies.
There would be episodes in between Warlock vanquishing where the sisters would bond, this would take place, for example, where Phoebe would be Prue's assistant, where she has a premonition from a vintage bracelet and they work together to help find the owner. I would also like some episodes that aren't innocent or demon/warlock related, and focuses on the sisterly relationship between them.
(Let me know if you like this so far)

ES: I replied to this before but my stupid internet disconnected on me. I hope I can remember what I wrote before. I just know I really like this even as I wonder if I'll like your S3 since our reactions towards Cole (if he's introduced) are totally opposite. But I'll try to set my reactions towards Cole aside and try to think of him the way you write him. Okay, here's what I *think* I wrote. Season TwoSet a couple of months after last season. I LOVE that the baby's only power is to sense evil. I hope that remains after she's (I'm hoping she's a she as she should've been!) born. I do wish your Prue and Andy had kept this relationship through the entire series. I can't help but wonder if you're planning on matching her with someone else. Someone like Bane? Or Cole?? Or Mitch??? None of those I'd mind, especially if Phoebs is never matched with anyone so she never has a chance to turn into PhoeME. But as always, since this is YOUR Dream Charmed, not mine, do it however YOU had planned - not the way I'd do it. I hope those are the *only* relationships she has with a guy and never gets pregnant. I LOVE this whole plotline! My favorite of all of your plotlines so far! Since you mentioned Paige in your post about jobs, we know it's that goth bartender. As always, I wish she wasn't part of this, or if she was, she wasn't goth like Rose, but here we go again - do it YOUR way, not mine! REALLY like these ideas! REALLY like these ideas, and really like the name Piper gave her DAUGHTER (YIPPEE!!!). One of my friends, Scififantasychic (Scifi to us) named Chris and Bianca's daughter (Piper and Leo's granddaughter) Piper Leonora after her grandparents and nicknamed her Nora. I wonder if you'll do the same. I also wonder if we'll have any visitors from the future show up... Looking forward to S3.

Season Three At the beginning of the season, Phoebe is in a relationship with a mortal guy. Episode 2: Phoebe starts having premonitions of him dying in various different ways (for example, hit by a car etc . . .), all of which she is able to prevent, though he does end up in the hospital. Going into episode 3, all seems well (seemingly). Crisis averted. Only for him to be given a terminal cancer diagnosis at the end of the episode. He dies a few episodes later and Phoebe is devastated. This is where we really start to see Phoebe evolve as a character. We're also at the point within the series where it is important to establish that the sisters are witches and not omnipotent. They have limitations. They can change the route travelled, they can delay the time of arrival (sometimes by minutes, sometimes by decades) but the destination is going to stay the same. Sometimes they can only do so much.
This season, we also see Phoebe's power expand. Her visions are no longer limited to the future, now she can see into the past too.
Piper has quit Quake, sold off her shares and is in the process of opening up her own restaurant (opening mid-season ish). In the first half of the season, prior to opening, Piper also does some catering work to help pay the bills + for promotion. The restaurant, once open, underperforms. Phoebe helps out by waiting tables twice-weekly. Prue pitches in when she has some spare time.
Prue does some self-reflection. The duality of Piper having a baby and Prue now being older than Patty was when she died raises some uncomfortable feelings for Prue. She's living in her childhood home (with her grandmother, sisters and niece), is working long hours (in a job she doesn't particularly love) while not actually climbing the career ladder, has very little time available for a social life or hobbies, is unmarried and single. Seeking a creative outlet and hoping to possibly bring home some extra money, Prue decides to start writing an Art History type book.
Toward the end of the season, she meets and has some chemistry with an innocent/fellow witch named Luca. He's a teacher and can cast illusions. Nice guy. Not Prue's usual type -- pretty chill, go with the flow, relaxed. They exchange numbers.
Penny's recovery is going well and she is enjoying assisting Piper with Leonora -- Penny has always found passion in raising her descendants -- albeit is too eager at times to "take over" (here we see some growth in Piper when she has to assert some boundaries with Penny). Penny particularly likes that Leonora resembles Patty.
Speaking of Patty: we discover that Penny speaks with her for an hour once a year, almost every year. Halloween is a very special day for witches because the barrier between life and death thins enough for a witch to summon the spirit of another witch. The period last for about an hour and the time it occurs changes every year. If you miss the window, you miss the window and have to wait until the next year. You can only summon a single person at once and witches are the only ones who can make the ghostly journey "over" (at least if it's a witch summoning her).
Natalie pops in and out throughout the season. She's busy and doesn't have the time to follow the Halliwells around!
There's a "Pardon My Past" episode. Pearl Russell was lured over to evil by The Seer rather than Anton (we're starting to see more of The Seer's plans and motivations unfold at this point). Penny's father was named Gordon Halliwell and played by someone who isn't Greg Vaughan. The episode leads to the cousins -- Phoebe Bowen, Polly Baxter and Pearl Russell -- having a miniseries released between Season 3 and Season 4 (I want to explore those three specifically and the family history more in general without intruding on the "Charmed" space).

First I have to say that I'm VERY surprised that you didn't include Cole in this season. If you don't at all during your version of the series, you'd make me one happy fan! But, as always, I hope you keep doing it YOUR way and not mine. Season ThreeAt the beginning of the season, Phoebe is in a relationship with a mortal guy. Not nuts on having her boyfriend die, but I'll agree that something like that would help her grow, so that's good. If she grows, it make sense that her powers would. I hope the same will be true for the others, and like her, their upgrades are to their current power, not getting new ones. Absolutely LOVE this idea - especially the idea that it doesn't take off right away like P3 did. COOL! That makes so much more sense than photography, which she never showed an interest in. Now that sounds like a great guy for Prue! He SORTA reminds me of Drake, and I would've loved to have seen Prue (not Phoebe) matched with Drake. Oh! I like the idea that Leonora resembles Patty and that Grams helps Piper grow. OH! If that's the only time you can summon someone from the dead, that would be perfect - it would let death still have meaning! Can't say I'm nuts on that, but it did make me laugh. I guess I don't particularly like the idea of exploring those cousins more, but were you to do something like that, doing it as a summer replacement series is a GREAT idea! I LOVE that it appears the Seer (I assume you mean the Debbi Morgan version) is your Big Bad! Can't wait for Season Four! By the way, can you let us know how many seasons your series last?
