In celebration of Halloween here is Bob's thoughts on the episode "All Halliwell's Eve" itself.

I did not make any of the GIFS in 2021 or older. I did make the GIFs in 2022, though. I won't be celebrating Halloween, for the first time, this year, though. I'mma celebrate Harvest (not be confused with Thanksgiving), though. Gonna spend time with family. So, Happy Harvest ;P Its interesting because in New Zealand Halloween is more like an observation than a celebration. Sometimes there are parties but growing up Halloween was thought of as more of a Northern Hemisphere thing - or commercially American. I don't like Halloween - but I think its because ever since watching AHE - I feel like the modern day take on Halloween is a mockery of a religion or wicca culture. I also find it weird how a country like the US which is very Christian and religious based (even though secular) recognizes a pagan festival. But may be its just a little bit fun.

I also find it weird how a country like the US which is very Christian and religious based (even though secular) recognizes a pagan festival. But may be its just a christian little bit fun. You're absolutely right about the US supposed to be a Christian country. Unfortunately, it seems like they need to read their bibles more. Which is what I've done. I've (also) been reading about different origins and histories of other "holidays". The Christian aspect of these "holidays" seemed to have been forgotten. Harvest (not Thanksgiving) is NOT Pagan (like a lot of the internet likes to believe). In fact, Harvest is biblical (see Exodus 23:14-16). Which is why I'm celebrating it, instead. Sure, it's supposed to be "Spring - Summer", but I'd rather substitute Halloween with "Harvest". The word "feast" doesn't always mean "food party" but "festival", as well. When it comes to Christmas, there's another split among Christian circles, and I understand why. "Santa" has replaced Jesus. So, I'm gonna drop the "Santa" aspect of Christmas, this year. Same with the tree. To me, these represent "idols". However, I'm keeping the "gift giving". As Christians are supposed to be giving. Along with family get togethers. And keeping it about Jesus.
Sorry to rant like this, but I've studying a lot on these subjects, for awhile lol And, no, I don't feel like watching Charmed harms my faith. We all know how not so accurate it is with its "witchcraft". Maybe S1-S2 but after that, not so much. I like Charmed's story of good vs evil and their family bonding even outside the sisters.

Seemed like they mixed Samhain with All Hallows Eve in this episode.

You're welcome, though I did NOT include their S8E9 "Hulkus Pocus" transformation due to NOT being able to get a scene with JUST their hulked out selves, but I digress.

Happy belated Halloween everyone.
I absolutely hated that we never got a Samhain episode, or anything Wiccan really, I would have loved to see them practice the Wiccan wheel of the year.

I think there's a Charmed novel that deals with Samhain under the name "Samhain". But I don't remember the story too well.

I watch this Christian YTer who is VERY pro celebrating Halloween, even as a Christian. And, according to his research "Samhain" originally just meant "end of summer" and nothing to do with the dead. In fact, it was the Catholics to focus on the dead more than Pagans with their "All Saints Day" via Nov 1, but I digress. It DOES make sense why there's a fall celebration, to symbolize "the end of summer". I haven't quite fact checked him on that, though. Considering all the false information out there, it wouldn't surprise me, if he's right. But, I still don't celebrate the commercialized version of "Halloween". I don't give out candy, I don't go Trick or Treating, I don't wear a costume, etc. Though, I don't mind having a family gathering and praising the Lord for the Fall Harvest. A bit healthier than eating candy xD Again, I'm still researching. Though, I LOVE eating roasted pumpkin seeds, so delicious! And, pumpkins are in ABUNDANCE, around this time of year ;P

Same here, I don't eat candy at all or wear a costume. Eating yummy healthier foods to celebrate fall harvest sounds more fun than candy and costumes to me.

Here in Canada our Thanksgiving is in October so we tend to have the Harvest Festivals /Thanksgiving celebrations around the same time. I like that it means end of summer. Great new info I learned. Thanks Aaeiyn for the tidbit.
