The real magic in season 7 lies in the quality of individual episodes because the main arc of the avatars really sucked (except Charmageddon) but it picks up again towards the last 6 episodes. And I hated 'Charmedaggedon' because again it showed how selfish and self-centered they became when the only reason they turned the world back was remembering their *own* losses - to hell with the fact that in order to have their own little utopia they had to take away the rest of world's free will. Or the fact that Leo was punished just because he was "batting for the wrong side" even though the Elders were now more demonic than the demons who (outside of Zankou and Drake and Kyra) were simply comedic. And instead they try to manipulate our emotions into liking all of this by the reminder of what they'd lost without any mention of Prue. No, nothing at all in that episode for me to like. And typical that we're getting off topic. Back to Season 8. Rather than favorite episode, how 'bout favorite scene? For me it's a tie between Phoebe playing with little Wyatt and Henry proposing to Paige. I love your picks Es. I would throw in the battle with the five sisters and the manor exploding, although the aftermath didn't live up to the hype. If the series ended here, well I would love it even more.

I had several favorites in season 8, even though it was my least favorite season. In no certain order: The Lost Picture Show - I enjoyed seeing Sam again, but I really wish Sam and Paige had a better relationship. Victor eventually got along well with his daughters, I wish the writers had done the same for Paige and her father. Vaya Con Leos - One of my favorites. I loved seeing a Leo centered episode, and I enjoyed seeing the Angel of Death again. I loved how Piper got angry with all the powers that be and how she interacted with each of them. Mr. & Mrs. Witch - Enjoyed seeing Billie's parents do a complete 180 in their attitudes. It was funny to me. Payback's a Witch - I liked seeing a lot of Henry. He was one of my favorite guest stars. Generation Hex - I liked how this centered around Leo's students. I enjoyed seeing how it was a Leo episode, in that his memory was prominent, if that makes any sense. Forever Charmed - Probably my favorite episode of the season. Just liked seeing everybody in this, and seeing how it ended. Though of course I wish it hadn't ended.

That makes perfect sense. Season 8 did well by Paige, and season 7 is actually quite good, once you get past a bad start and middle. The real magic in season 7 lies in the quality of individual episodes because the main arc of the avatars really sucked (except Charmageddon) but it picks up again towards the last 6 episodes. I think the season really picks up after Charmageddon. I like "The Lost Picture Show". I liked the bonding moment between Paige & Sam, Billie having a complicated love interest, Piper & Leo being hysterical with their body switch (and showcasing more of what both Brian Krause and Holly Marie Combs can do, as actors), etc. Paige, essentially, being the hero of the day, of this episode, and I love it.
