Thanks for posting these, Cyma. I was a little annoyed by the lack of acknowledgement for Charmed, as if she had literally done nothing besides BH 90210. A lot of her fans know her as Prue rather than Brenda.

Otherwise, very good interview. Touching that it was her beloved dog who helped her find her cancer.

We have universal health care here in Canada.  Yet you will not see a single statue of Karl Marx or Lenin here.

Unlike the U.S., Brits and Canadians don't run scared when they hear the world "Socialism".   The U.S. right wing nuts need to realize that Socialism and Communism are two different things.

Anyway, back to Shannen.  As I said, I hope that, if she gets through this, she stops smoking.  Cigarettes are called cancer sticks for a good reason.

I've been her follower on Twitter for a long time already and all i can say is that Shannen is so brave, she stays positive and has a strong faith, she even has the time for the several causes she supports, she knowns how to live despite adversity. At the end of the day cancer isn't a death sentence, just a huge reminder of making the most out of life, even if we are healthy.

I truly wish her the best and a full recovery, I know it's not impossible, I have faith she is gonna make it.

EXCLUSIVE: Alyssa Milano on Shannen Doherty's Cancer Battle: 'It's Heartwarming and Gut-Wrenching All at the Same Time'

The former Charmed co-stars have re-connected in the wake of Doherty's stunning breast cancer diagnosis, with Milano telling ET that she continues to reach out to Doherty regularly on social media.


"I've reached out to her, yes, and I try to continue to reach out to her once a week," Milano told ET on Tuesday. "I tweeted, I [direct messaged] her and I obviously told her my concern and how everyone was on her side, and we're all supporting her, and she was very appreciative that I reached out, which was very sweet."


Though the actresses have famously had their differences since sharing the screen more than 15 years ago, Milano had nothing but kind words for Doherty.

Rose McGowan Writes Emotional Letter to Shannen Doherty Amid Cancer Battle: 'We Were Pitted Against Each Other'

In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, 43-year-old McGowan acknowledged that the two had a "funny history," and shared her thoughts on replacing Doherty on the WB series Charmed in 2001. Doherty's character was killed off the show after three seasons, the rumored reason being tensions between her and co-star Alyssa Milano.



"As young women we were pitted against each other for society's pleasure," McGowan wrote, sharing a cartoon drawing of the two of them together, McGowan rocking her shaved 'do and 45-year-old Doherty wearing a headscarf. "The rules of Hollywood engagement brainwashed into us were truly vile. The men & brainwashed women in our business made it so we couldn't be friends, I regret that. We were cast in this weird fake reality show where we were supposed to be enemies."



"I resented it greatly," she added. "I regret not being awake enough to articulate this to you at the time. Fear was drilled into me from day one in this town & you were the barometer by which my behavior was judged. I was under a microscope, one false move and I'd be branded 'difficult' just like you. I think we all know what happens when girls here get out of line."


The Jawbreaker actress spoke out against the "Bag Girl Shaming" she says Doherty received at the hands of the media, referencing reports that Doherty was difficult on both the sets of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed.


"You cast a long shadow over my life," McGowan shared. "We were both cast in a fake real life role, that of the Bad Girl. ... But we were never the bad ones, it was them -- the Beige Brained White Dudes in Charge."

"Shannen, we didn't know it yet, but we were the good ones," she later continued. "Two boss young women that scared the 'faux-liberals in provincial Hollywood, for that sin we got burned at the media stake, egged on by Hollywood who believe the press they start. There was a strongly inferred threat of me being blacklisted in TV as I'd been in film. Instead of understanding that we were a different breed, they tried to crush us, but they couldn't. I send you strength."

I am so pleased dear to see them reaching out to Shannen. What has surprised me is the lack of her BFF Holly mentioning anything to do with Shannen in months online or in press? The last time either spoke was at conventions before she started treatment. But Holly doesn't need to say it online - she see's her BFF in person.

Shannen Doherty completes radiation therapy

The 45-year-old actress, who is currently battling breast cancer, took to Instagram on Friday to announce that she had completed radiation therapy, paying special tribute to the doctors who helped her get through the treatments, as well as her radiation machine.



"Thank you Vantage Oncology and Dr Leslie Botnick. Thank you to all that work there, especially Anna,Vince, Mike (pictured here) and Jackie," she wrote. "And a big thank you to Maggie. Everyday you rotated around me, I knew you were zapping the last of those pesky micro cells lingering behind. Here's hoping I never see you again sweet Maggie!!! #lovethiscrew #cancerslayer."
