Lucky Charmed didn't do it for me for the way Leprachauns were portrayed and the overall feeling of the episode which I thought was cliche but then that's me of course whereas some fans do obviously.

A Witch in Time is first?
I'm surprised. I mean, it's an okay episode, but I had no idea people ranked it so highly.

I'm surprised Siren Song is so high too but that's alright. Everyone here has different tastes and I appreciate learning why people like something so much. Makes it fun around here.

Siren Song The Eyes That Have It Sympathy for the Demon A Witch In Time Sam I Am Centennial Charmed Cat House Sense and Sensibility
I do think that A Witch In Time is the best episode of Season 5. From there, it is not until Season 6 Little Monsters for me and then Styx Feet Under in Season 7 where things match that level for me.

'A Witch in Time' is really popular here.
I loved the Bacarra story I remember. Maybe if Miles was an innocent or close friend of Phoebe than a lover, it could have been great. If you took out Cole's part in it, maybe it could be an even better and fun episode.
But I remember when I last saw this episode, I liked it for the theme of Phoebe not being able to save Miles. Now if he wasn't a love interest of Phoebe, it would feel like S1 or S2 Phoebe for how much she cared for an innocent. I just wonder how S5 or S6 Phoebe would be like if Miles wasn't a lover but a friend or just an innocent.

Now if he wasn't a love interest of Phoebe, it would feel like S1 or S2 Phoebe for how much she cared for an innocent. I just wonder how S5 or S6 Phoebe would be like if Miles wasn't a lover but a friend or just an innocent. Happily Ever After did seem like it was supposed to be a premier episode, almost like it was tendered to be the opening 1 hour episode before Brad had his eureka moment of putting Alyssa's boobies on show in A Witches Tail. However, Siren Song, The Eyes that Have It, Sympathy for the Demon and A Witch in Time have this Season 2 - demon of the week sort of story and focus on the sisters romantic lives. It also concentrates on Paige wanting her own separate identity or one of her own. There is this sympathy for Phoebe that we are willing to work through as she needs time to recover from Season 4. However, that is just exploited and dragged out to the total break down of her character after this - if it wasn't already at its lowest. Piper does finally become Prue and is now the eldest - this is especially so when she is focusing on becoming a mother - while the other two are focused on their careers, normal and romantic lives. Magic Wears A Mask is a nice projection power episode, far better than Wyatts Dragon episode or Billie's Mr and Mrs Witch one. I kind of do like this episode as a silly filler - if they didn't show the Elder. I liked the boy as the innocent. Sam I Am and Centennial Charmed IMO are good episodes - and remind me of good episodes at the end of Season 2. Mummy and Importance do seem very commercialised and artificial but I do like the sisterly aspects in the first and the Woggy continuation in the later. House Call is when it becomes directionless. Its a bad filler and San Francisco Dreaming makes Charmed now look like a completely different show. This is party because the Season 3 to 5 Cole Storyline is gone, the sisters don't really feel like sisters anymore and Phoebe and Paige's characters aren't compelling or relatable. The are simple pimped out, why the other is with child. Then we have the Day the Magic dies - when then, the show dies by 'Death By Baby'. Specifically, sexiestly - a male baby. Baby's First Demon is a sweet episode but another customer oppertunity. I think Brad Kern liked that shade of Blue, it reminds me of Kaley's in Battle of the Hexes. Lucky Charmed - oh I just hang my head in shame. It's got this this point! Leprahauns are cute but come on.... really....? And that stereotypically. AND then you just have to pair this one with Nymphs - another customer opporunity. Cat House and Sensibility are the last two good episodes of the series arguably. But that I mean, episodes that give more than a 5/10. Necromancing is ok. Grams is always a delight. And then Oh My God. Speaks for itself.

As I said, keep Cat House and burn the rest of S5. I wouldn't shed a single tear. Yes, Cat House was, in essence, a clip show. However, it still towers above the rubbish of the rest of S5. I always found it odd that Cat House had no clips from season 2. Neither did other "clip shows." The only one I can recall is Phoebe's past life being included in Generation Hex. Could we have just skipped season 2 and gone straight to 3?

Not sure what S2 moment they could have used though. Maybe Piper/Leo's date in Chick Flick or Piper/Leo at the end of P3 H20. Most of their moments included Dan and or Prue. So it might have been hard with Prue or they didn't want to spend time on Dan. Any ideas what moment from S2 could be used, anyone?

Certainly, P3 H20 and Chick Flick as you say. Murphy's Lucky, too!

Certainly, P3 H20 and Chick Flick as you say. Murphy's Lucky, too! I can see all those moments working well. Now if Shannen did allow her image and or she left on better terms and wasn't fire, Imagine Paige accidentally crossing paths or bumping into Prue in the past. We had Phoebe do the same with Piper and Leo in the shower, but I never got how that could happen, where was Past Phoebe?

-Happily Ever After. Guilty pleasure fun to watch. -Siren Song. Good. -Magic wears a mask. Guilty pleasure fun to watch. -A witch in time. Probably best written in the season. -The importance of being Phoebe. Phoebe's last words to Cole are heartbreaking -Centennial Charmed. Great. Decent end for Cole (i know im in minority) -Cat House. A gift between sh!t and sh!t. -Sense and sense ability. Good. Fun. But the Harpy is too underused. I like A Witch's Tail as guilty pleasure too. I HATE Lucky Charmed, Nymphs just wanna have fun and Oh my Goddess 1&2. These are pure ridiculous sh!t.

Does anyone else think Phoebe in 'The Eyes Have It' is a lot like her S1 and S2 self?

Does anyone else think Phoebe in 'The Eyes Have It' is a lot like her S1 and S2 self? It's been too long since I've watched it, so I, for one, can't say. I know it's an episode I liked, so it wouldn't surprise me if that's the case. Although now you've got me curious. With no sports in America, so lots of free time on my hand, I might re-watch that, since thanks to my friend, StoryGirl82, I have the S5 DVD now (I'd never buy S4-8 ones myself - not due to Paige but due to the changes in Piper, Phoebe, Leo and Cole - but she got the Book of Shadows version, so let me have her other ones. She never got S7, and I'd like to get that, and no way I'd want S6, but now I do have 1-5 and 8 (which I took only for the extras - I've yet to watch any of the episodes.), so I can. I might do a lot more re-watching than I have. But then I have a number of shows on DVD that I'd like to re-watch and S4-8 would not be high on my list. That one's an exception. Especially because I won't be influenced by post-'Sleuthing with the Enemy' Phoebe as I was when I first watched, I can see if she's closer to S1-2 Phoebe the way she is in 'Show Ghouls', the first time I thought I saw my Phoebs (S1-2 Phoebe) since 'Sleuthing with the Enemy'.

Just finished re-watching 'The Eyes Have It', which I totally enjoyed, much more than I thought I would, and I know why - NO COLE!!!! Just like we've liked S2 Piper best when there's no Leo, I definitely liked this Phoebe when there was no Cole. No, she wasn't my Phoebs, but she cared about others and she put family first over work and that I thoroughly enjoyed. But the love of magic, the free-spiritedness, actually all the stuff that Madame Theresa saw in her readings and that made my Phoebs Phoebs weren't there. It reminds me of the thread where we talked about how badly S5 Phoebe needed therapy - this one definitely does. But she definitely wasn't PhoeME/Freebie and that I liked. The one I really liked was Paige, who was so caring and so helpful and so wise. I never remembered Ditzy Valley Girl that way, but in this episode she was. Rose still made those horrible faces which took away from it, but if these two had been more like this, I might have enjoyed the latter seasons more. *sigh* Then there was Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper. Normally I like her in S5 - not in this one!

Did you think of CCDOW while watching, if so, share any ideas in the boards or PMs. I'm surprised that more and more the episodes where Cole and or Leo are not present, Piper or Phoebe are more likable, not near perfect as we love them, but not PhoeME/Freebie or Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper to the extreme. Why does Rose make those horrible faces. She never did that in S4, I know she got very bored with the show the longer it went on.

S5 Phoebe did need therapy but I guess the aspect that reminded me of S2 Phoebe is how much she cared about innocents and how badly she blamed herself for Lydia. Something which I really loved but well, I was thinking about the year Charmed was set in and well, going to therapy for mental illness, was it stigmatised back then as well? I mean, it still is in my culture but...

Which sucks, as I'm sure another actress wouldn't have gotten bored. Of course, we all know, Rose expected the role to be one season only. That makes sense Es, we'll see when we decide S4 with them. Looking forward to it.
