Moving house in a few months, I've been looking through all my stuff, including my DVDs and it got me wondering what shows people owned in their entirety on DVD, BluRay or VHS. I have complete series on DVD- Buffy the Vampire Slayer (7) Angel (5) Bewitched (8) Will and Grace (8) Scott and Bailey (5) Friends (10) After that, it's bits of different series- Charmed (1-7) Xena (1) ER (1-4) 3rd Rock from the Sun (1-4) The New Adventures of Old Christine (1-3) Being Human (1-4) Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1-3 + Sabrina Goes to Rome) Once Upon a Time (1-4... that's up to date, but I won't be buying season 5)

Nice collection there p3nathan.
Thats quite a challenge for me dear. My collection is housed with my family's collection on a shelf - So i might be better off just listing what I own than posting caps.

My list is rather large and posting pictures would make a really long post, especially if I included every single show I have considering I own probably a couple hundred seasons of TV shows. And that's just what I own (I have purchased entire series for others including ones that are still housed where I live, but I don't own them.
Full Series: Charmed Alphas Angel Bewitched Buffy the Vampire Slayer Chuck Dilbert Fringe Full House Heroes Hogan's Heroes J*A*G* Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman No Ordinary Family Numb3rs Pretender Psych - Can't find season 7, but I own it. Revolution Roswell Scooby Doo, Where Are You? Stargate Atlantis Star Trek The Animated Series Star Trek: Voyage StarHunter Superman (George Reeves) Supernatural: The Animates Series Tabitha Terra Nova The Cape Tru Calling Veronica Mars - Plus the movie Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? White Collar
Partial Series (as much as is available) Aarow - 1-4 Early Edition - Seasons 1-2 Ghostwriter - Season 1 Grimm - 1-4 (Will get 5 when it's out) seaQuest DSV - Seasons 1-2 Supernatural - 1-10 (will get 11 when it's out) The Flash - 1
Partial Series (where more is available) 21 Jump Street Batman the Animated Series Bones - 1-4 (Zack Addy is my favorite character) Boy Meets World - 1-4 Burn Notice - 1-6 plus movie (might have 7, but can't find it) Charlie's Angels - 3 Covert Affairs - 1-2 Criminal Minds - 1-7? CSI: Miami CSI: NY - 2 Dead Zone Dexter - 1-4 (Could not finish season 1, but I already had 2-4, so giving these away . . . not sure where they are right now) Diagnosis Murder - 1 Dollhouse Family Matters - 1-3 Firefly Ghost Whisper - 1, 5 (might have more, but definitely not all) Hercules the Legendary Journey - 1-3, and 5 . . . my favorite episode is in season 4 and not available on Netflix. Decided I want to get smaller boxes and haven't done so yet. Home Improvement - 1+ House [MD] - I think I have through season five. Decided to wait until the series was all out . . . then didn't have the money. I Dream of Jeannie In Plain Sight Little House on the Prairie - 2-3, 5, movies Mad About You - 1-2 Medium - 1-4. 6 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - 2A and assorted episodes on VHS Monk - 1 NCIS - 1-8? Once Upon a Time - 1 Pretty Little Liar - Getting rid of this, can only find season 2, but I'm sure I have more than that Profiler - 4 Sabrina the Teenage Witch - 1, 3 Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - 1, 5, 7 Star Trek: The Next Generation - Assorted VHS Star Trek: The Original Series - 1 (seems like I had more, but I can only find season 1) The 4400 The Nanny - 1-2 Three's Company Silk Stockings Stargate SG1 - 1-8 - Huge boxes. I plan to replace it them with a completed series set. Superman the Animated Series - 1, 3 Ugly Betty Walker, Texas Ranger - 1 and final (may have more) Warehouse 13 What's New Scooby Doo? - 1 Witches of East End - 1 X-Man the Animated Series
Series I Would Buy If They Would Just Sell Them 7 Days Breaker High Mathnet Ocean Girl - Available, but not in a version that will play on my DVD player Unnatural History
And then the words you never want to read when seeing a list that long . . . And this is by no means complete. Thanks for the reminder than I need to update my list (I have a list so that I don't accidentally buy two copies of the same season . . . I have four extra seasons of Superman right now). It also doesn't include any shows where I intend to purchase them in the future, but do not currently own any season . . . if seasons are available. Nor does it include shows that I purchased for others (some including A*Team, M*A*S*H, MacGuyver, Liberty Kids, and Christy are completed series) but do not currently own any seasons myself.

Well, P3Nathan, that's quite a collection you have there.
I'd never heard of this Scott & Baily Show. I'm guessing that's a British show, since the DVD's are labeled as "series", which you Brits call a season of a TV show.

Yeah I'm not usually into cop shows, but I love the characters in Scott and Bailey. They're tough and witty... and it's as much about their friendship and lives as it is the crime (well, up until season 5 anyway, which I wasn't as keen on.)
Wow sounds like you guys have some really great collections going. I've been looking through more of my stuff and a few slipped my mind-
Everwood 1-4 (complete) Roswell 1-3 (complete) Veronica Mars 1-3 + Movie (complete) Not Going Out 1-7 (was complete but now they're doing a season 8... I won't be watching) Gilmore Girls 1-4 Merlin 1-4

I've not watched Scott and Bailey but know what type of show that is. Oh one more show I forgot to mention that my mum owns is Only Fools And Horses series's 1,2,4,5,6 and 7 not series 3 or the Christmas specials which we need still. Loved that show so honest and funny for the time period it was set in and the actors playing each particular character there were cast perfectly I mean who wouldn't find this funny then. m.youtube.com/watch?v=63rcdLeXiU8Amongst other ones that are in there obviously.

Wow! You guys have some very nice collections! Mine's not quite as extensive but includes favorites:
1. Adventures of Superman (Six seasons - the original from the 1950's)
2. Star Trek (Three seasons - the original from the 1960's - only movie I have is "The Voyage Home" - the only one I liked)
3. The Monkees (Three seasons - from the 1960's)
4. Bewitched (Like Charmed, I count it as the full series and not the spin-off - just the original Darren seasons, so Five seasons - from the 1960's)
5. The Fugitive (Four seasons from the 1960's - also have the movie from 1993)
6. Dark Shadows (Six seasons - the original from the 1960's - also 1991 remake, unfortunately just one season - don't have the movies - too scary/creepy)
7. Eight is Enough (Five seasons - from the 1970's)
8. Perfect Strangers (Eight seasons - from the 1980's)
9. Full House (Eight seasons - from the 1980's)
10. Charmed (just the real one - S1-3 - not the alternate-universe spin-off - from the 1990's, of course)
More than enough for me!

I would love to take some pics one day p3nathan but most of my stuff is packed away due to redecoration. But I'll list as many as I remember.
Complete series Charmed Seasons 1-8 Buffy Seasons 1-7 Angel Seasons 1-5 Fringe Seasons 1-5 Smallville Seasons 1-10 (haven't actually watched this one yet but got it on sale so thought why not?) Glee Seasons 1-6 X-men animated series Seasons 1-5 Dragon Ball Seasons 1-5 Dragon Ball Z Seasons 1-9 Power Rangers Seasons 1-4 (I count this as complete because the seasons are standalone)
On-going series The Flash Season 1 Arrow Seasons 1-3 (won't be buying anymore of this tbh) Grey's Anatomy Seasons 1-11 Supernatural Seasons 1-9 The 100 Seasons 1-2 Game of Thrones Seasons 1-5 Doctor Who (New-Who) Seasons 1-8 + All the specials (probably won't be buying more of this since I haven't enjoyed Peter Capaldi on the show at all, but its more to do with the writing than the acting).

My DVD library includes obscure shows like Logan's Run.
This short lived 1977-78 show came out of DVD a couple of years ago. I purchased the set and watched this show for the first time since it originally aired nearly 40 years ago. It totally holds up, okay the F/X are sketchy, but the stories are pretty good. Too bad CBS kept preempting it and bouncing it around the schedule, which led to its cancellation.
This show has been described as a spin-off of the 1976 movie of the same name (which in turn was based on a book, and took lots of liberties, but I digress). However, it's really not, the series stands alone (meaning you don't have to have seen the movie to understand it). The only thing that comes from the movie is stock footage in some scenes.
Anyway, the show is set in the 24th Century, 200 years after a nuclear war devastated the Earth. Because of said war, the City Of Domes is built somewhere along the eastern coast of the U.S. (since the City Of Domes is within walking distance of the ruins of Washington D.C., it must lie within present day Maryland or Virginia).
Life in the COD is a paradise, the people want for nothing. All is provided for them. The one catch is that when one turns 30, they are put to death in a ceremony called Carousel. Those poor people are under the impression that they will be reincarnated, but in reality, this is just a way for the COD to maintain population control.
However, there are dissident groups that have realized the truth, and they try to help people escape the COD to the outside. The people that try to escape the city are called Runners.
The problem is that the Council (a cabal of elderly men who secretly run the COD, they are a select few who get to live past 30 and know the truth about Carousel, the population at large don't know about them) don't want people to leave. They know that if people leave the COD, their power is ended. Some of the lies they put out is that the air outside the COD is still contaminated from the war, when in fact the air is clear and outside is safe.
The COD is patrolled by the Sandmen, basically they are the Security Police of the COD. One of their jobs is to track down and kill Runners, before they can leave the COD. One Sandman, Logan (the title character) begins to secretly question all this. Finally, he makes his choice and flees the COD with a female Runner named Jessica.
Of course, the Council is not happy about this. They summon a Sandman named Francis, who was Logan's best friend, and give him the job of tracking Logan down and bringing him back to the COD. If Francis succeeds, he is promised a seat on the Council, and gets to enjoy a ripe old age. Francis eagerly takes the assignment.
Thus the premise of the series is set up. Logan and Jessica travel across what was once the United States, meeting various cultures that have sprung up in the two centuries since the war. Along the way, they meet up with Rem, an android (who does not like to be called a robot, thank you very much).
On their trail is Francis, determined to carry out his assignment, also he feels anger at Logan for what Francis perceives as Logan's betrayal of all he (Francis) believes in.
The stars were Gregory Harrison (Logan), Heather Menzies (Jessica), Donald Moffat (Rem), and Randy Powell (Francis).
This was a great show, I highly recommend it.
Interesting note: Heather Menzies, who played Louisa Von Trapp in Sound Of Music, had a "family reunion" with two of her SOM siblings on this show. The second LR episode, The Collector's, had Angela Cartwright (who played Brigitta Von Trapp in SOM) as a guest star. A later episode, The Judas Goat, guest starred Nicholas Hammond (who played Friedrich Von Trapp in SOM).
Whether this was just a coincidence, or if Heather suggested these actors for the roles, your guess is as good as mine.

I'm probably one of the few active posters here who was alive when Logan's Run ran in 1977-78.

Considering my parents got married during that time period, I wasn't born until a few years after that, but I have seen the movie (about a decade ago) and I found it pretty interesting. I'd be interested in a TV series based on the same concept even if it is only loosely connected.

I'm assuming you were born in 1983. Hence the "83" in your username.
Yeah, they are only loosely connected. You don't need to have seen the movie to understand the show, but it does help, as the show uses the same costumes and such (and they use stock footage from the movie, mostly in scenes involving the City Of Domes).

Correct. I did have someone assume that the 83 was the year I graduated high school once. That was amusing, but yes, that's the year I was born.

A lot of members of boards use some of the numbers of their birth year in their user names. I used "tim66" on my old account here.
Tim66 is the name I have at FF.net (since the name Tim was already taken). Of course, that came from my birth year, 1966.
As I said, I'm the third oldest poster here. Only Es and Grannycharmed are older than I am.

If I was to do it over again, I would choose differently, but I've had this username for a long time, since 2002 I think. It suits me and it was chosen specifically so that it was unlikely that anyone else would have that name at any place, so there is that.
