Just letting everyone know that today I'm flying down to New Mexico with my BFF, her sister, daughter and granddaughter to go see my BFF's dad, who I was very close to when I was young (My BFF and I have been BFFs since sixth grade and now we're both in our 60's - she's retired!). I'm looking forward to the trip, but unfortunately he doesn't have WiFi and there's no place where I could get a WiFi connection close to his home, so I'm leaving my laptop at home, and my Star-Trek type phone doesn't do the Net.
So I'll be out of touch for a week or so. I have a hunch her dad will be glad I left my laptop behind - I can concentrate on him and their family.
Everyone, have a very good week!

Thank you, MelindaHalliwell - I had a fantastic time, especially getting to see the Grand Canyon - WOW! - and Gallop, New Mexico where my BFF's dad lives - but mostly getting to visit with my BFF's dad, brothers, sisters (and dogs) who live down there. When I was young, I spent more time at their place than I did at home - and my BFF's family moved to New Mexico the summer before our senior year! She moved back here to Minnesota after she graduated from college down there. I hadn't seen the rest of the family since my BFF's husband's funeral back in 2005, so it was really nice getting to see them.

Greetings Es,
So happy you had a fantastic time and glad to see you back. @ my PM, you know I will not be on too often as my comuputer is acting up. When it over heats, like in about 10 minutes it freezes up, or kicks me out, or double post. I think it hates me. I will do the best I can with what I have to work with. SC

Welcome back Es. I am so pleased to see dear you had an amazing time. I cannot wait for you to see all the amazing discussions your cafe has had in your absence dear. Thank you, Granny Charmed! I have indeed thoroughly enjoyed all of the amazing discussions that I missed out on. And it's definitely not *my* Cafe - it's *our* Cafe. That's indeed proven by all of these wonderful discussions.

I am pleased to hear it dear. My apologies dear on the confusion in my wording. I was meaning to say your cafe - as in all of us in general in your absence. Although this girl was posting in the early hours and made a mistake.

LOL, I understand totally. Believe me, trying to catch up after being gone for more than a week did it to this old girl, too!

I will be less online in the next month, with getting my wisdom teeth out next week and then we have Easter. So looking forward to coming back after I am less busy with everthing, and hoping everyone has a safe and great Easter.

Hey now, drugs after wisdom teeth might be the best time to show up. Gives us some entertainment. Anyway, I've had all mine out (at once). Slept a lot. A lot. So not bad. GOOD LUCK!

I remember getting my wisdom teeth out. My jaw was so numb afterward. It was a very strange feeling. I don't think I slept more than usual (other than when I was actually out during their removal), but I definitely remember my numb jaw.

The first two days were the worst, where I basically was in bed all day and dealing with some after pains, won't go into details. A week later now, and recovery is on the way. I don't think I have ever slept that much in a long time. Can't wait to eat proper foods any day now.

I'm sorry that I have not been on lately but on March 29 I lost a beloved pet. He was a beautiful 22 pound jet black kitty that had been with us since he was a kitten. Sadly he didn't make his 11th birthday. We learned in early Jan. that Pyewacket had diabetes. We thought we could save him but he lost over 10 pounds just about over night. For all of you out there with cats please, if you are feeding them mostly dry food this is very bad. They need to eat good can food and human beef and chicken. If you are going to feed dry please spend the extra money and get the high end food like Blue Buffalo or Taste of the Wild. It could just save you heartache in the end not to mention major vet bills.
