Talking with StoryGirl I got the desire to talk about this very underrated episode
I would be happy if this had been the final episode: the Manor destroyed, police alarms in the night, Phoebe dead , Paige missing or dead, we can't know I understand that the fans wished the happy ending, the parade of the most beloved characters, but an open ending, in the future, would leave room for a new season or a mini series, all to be invented
I understand I am fascinated, instead "Nature abhors the vacuum" said the Greek philosophers over 2500 years ago For this reason I was fascinated by the concept of the Hollow in Charmed: a treacherous black hole able to absorb powers, good and evil, to destroy everything A concept that was a cross between science and philosophy
When the Triad opted to use the Hollow against the Charmed Ones, I was comforted, it meant that Christy and Billie were not as powerful as the sisters
Again, they weren't able to summon the Hollow without Wyatt's help Finally, it was clear that, despite the Jenkins powers, despite all that they had learned from the Book of Shadows, despite the Christy's Triad training, the Halliwell sisters were still the most powerful witches ever seen

I think the thing I hate was why go to all the trouble to destroy the manor - and then next episode everything got erased. Now I am pleased my favorite couple got back together. But what if we ended up with an ending where the sisters are forced to leave their lives behind with the manor destroyed and start a life elsewhere. In Forever Charmed have Paige being alive and the two remaining sisters try and find a way to bring Phoebe back on their own without time travel. Only the fallout from their manor destroyed remains intact. Oh man! I didn't feel Forever Charmed was as big as it could of been - a great ending for Piper/Leo fans but a very predictable ending with no real drama and epic feels that I got from Kill Billie Vol. 2.
Now had the series ending with an ending this way - *well* It would of sure been one great and bold ending. But what an ending to see only one sister possibly surviving. But Oh man! imagine if Paige was the last sister standing instead and her sisters are dead.

My feelings are also splitted here. I mean, at first I was happy that my favorite character finally got his powers and in the last episode no one still asked anyone about it. Victor knew about it after all, along with Wyatt.
That Piper and Billie survived this explosion is also something I don't understand. It could have done differently but apparently BK had different plans as fans wanted.

I must say I could of been happy with it ending here dear. Then this girl can not have to suffer with Forever Charmed as her ending. Even though I still will hate the season - it would of been way more fun if Paige was the last sister standing instead. However for that to work - well imagine the shock of Leo being returned with Piper now deceased.
But it truly does leave the door more open ending it here. Especially if the manor *truly* does remain destroyed beyond repair. I must say It does remind me of All Hell Breaks Loose and if the show had ended with a cliffhanger like that.
Now I must say dears - I could buy Paige surviving if she panic orbs out. But Piper surviving just felt like a rehash of A Witch in Time dears with Forever Charmed dears where Piper and Leo are trying to find a way to save Phoebe and Paige. I never realised before how much alike those episodes are with the basic story.

I would prefer an open ending rather an heppy ending Piper could save herself thanks to her power, little used but always present, to freeze time I would have liked that Paige had instinctively used her whitelighter power but losing her memory Now, a production that senselessly wasted an hotbed of ideas as Charmed, would still have the potentia to write a good ninth season

I sometimes find happy endings are good and well - But I do like some things left open ended. I find it is more fun that way to leave you wanting more and wondering - rather than wrapping it all up nicely.

We never really saw much about Piper's main power as we got into the later seasons. It took a backseat to her second power. I could see her freezing things to protect herself, but I'm not sure if Piper was really in the right state of mind to do that. We do know that she could "panic freeze" things seeing as she did that as early as the first episode. What I am left wondering about this idea is, if she did do this, why wouldn't it have stopped everything? Going on that idea though, what if she did panic freeze, but a panic freeze is less controlled and more localized, so it froze stuff around her and allowed her to avoid anything deadly, but it didn't protect her sisters (and we have no idea if Paige was injured or not. She might have panic orbed to another dimension for all we know (she sneezed her way into one, granted reality was in the middle of being changed, but still why not panic orbing into another dimension, such as the ghostly plane seen in "The Courtship of Wyatt's Father")). It's an interesting concept and the first idea I have heard to explain Piper's survival (especially with no sign of Paige) that sounds plausible.

An unconscious panic freeze'ld have protected Piper as an unconscious panic orb'ld have tossed Paige in another dimention, after all Piper finds only Phoebe's body in the rubble
And finds Bilie Seeing a witch with a fire power as Piper who beats Billie like any mere woman would do, you can feel Piper's intense desperation and I'ld love an ending focused on her suffering, alone in the dark, clung to Leo

In Destined I remember we talked about a similar theory
During the explosion, panic-stricken Piper'ld instinctively drag down the fall of ruins, saving herself and Billie thrown in the same direction and Paige'ld instinctively orb, maybe in a different plane In this case, only Phoebe would have died in the blast of the Manor
I love Kill BIllie Vol 2 especially for Wyatt,Chris and Victor's moment
My favorite
Soo nice
Kill Billie is one of those episodes that I look in its entirety, from Paige's Underwold Survival to the clash in bright living room of the sisters and the dark final It'ld be the true final of Charmed, open to the future

I've always liked the idea of Paige being the one who survived because she could panic-orb, but I never once considered the idea that Piper could panic-freeze and then perhaps panic-explode any debris that landed on top of her. That truly makes sense and puts a whole different perspective on this episode. Since Piper never found Paige, I still like the idea of Paige panic-orbing and using it as her excuse to FINALLY get away from her selfish, self-centered half-sisters!

But whoever came up with that theory, my cap is tipped to them. Amen. One of the few scenes I really like in Season Eight. Particularly if we didn't see Piper surviving, Charmed ending with a KaBOOM would've been great, the way I wish it had ended when Shax said "The end" in 'All Hell Breaks Loose' or Phoebe says, 'Here we go!' in "Something Wicca This Way Goes?", both followed by a KaBOOM! For me, any of the three would be better than the sappy ending we got instead.

A lot of fans demanded an happy end An unresolved final'ld enable the producers to resume the series even years away freely
On top: where were Paige and Christy?
I cannot think that a warlock powerful as Christy'ld be under the rubble while her sister seemed unharmed!

Why couldn't the ending be, them passing the torch to the other 'Charmed Ones', Phoebe's three daughters?
Think about it:
20 years on
The Elders let the Charmed Ones know about their children's destiny and they let Phoebe know that it is time for her daughters destiny, Phoebe asks 'What is their destiny?' and the Elders say 'The next Charmed Ones'.
Because in the book didn't say, three sister witches? That would mean that it would have to be Phoebe's daughters. While I do agree that they shouldn't have their Cupid powers unless they were dead, then this would be a perfect ending, with Phoebe (the first to touch the book) giving it towards her children.

More than 300 years waiting for the Charmed Ones's birth adn from that moment this rare power becomes so trivial to be passed to some daughters?
I'ld never watch a show with Phoebe's girls new Charmed Ones, it'ld take away every meaning of 8 seasons

I never bought that Paige was dead, we didn't see her body, my guess? Her body reacted the same way it did in the car crash that killed her parents, she was knocked out by the blast but orbed away somewhere safe, unaware of what was going on.

I'ld never watch a show with Phoebe's girls new Charmed Ones, it'ld take away every meaning of 8 seasons So just because these three were the Charmed Ones, does that mean that this power that took 300 years to build would suddenly just go away and they'd have to start all over again? That doesn't make any sense at all. I've always said that if the sisters agreed to give up their powers in 'Witch Way Now?' (as I believe they would've if the Angel of Destiny had been honest - like Kern's demons and Elders, his Angels weren't all that angelic - and told them that their destiny of protecting innocents was over (and that's what made them decide to keep them...) and instead their destiny would now be protecting the Twice-Blessed Brat) then their prophecy would've ended. But between them agreeing to continue to be Charmed and Wyatt being more powerful than the Power of Three and even two sisters - the Jenkinses - more powerful than the Power of Three (or they would've just used a Power of Three spell to get rid of them rather than the Hollow) I think that *not* passing on the Power of Three makes less sense unless the Avatars had succeeded and there was no longer any free will, the only way you get no good and no evil. If that's the true reason you stopped watching, Sol, I would think you would've stopped watching as soon as Wyatt showed up, since he's the one who made this rare power trivial. I agree that I wouldn't watch a sequel with Phoebe's three daughters - same old, same old - not because the power wasn't passed down. But as an ending, rather than Phoebe just able to pass the Power of Three to her daughters, I think it would've made more sense if none of the kids had the original three powers (so Chris wouldn't have had TK) and instead we saw Piper passing her power to her oldest child, Phoebe passing her power to *her* oldest child, and Paige passing her power to *her* oldest (oldest have always been the most powerful on this show) and letting them be the Charmed Ones. Add that to your scenario, BriannaWarren, and I like it. That way IF they decided to do a sequel, you could still have all 9 but these three - Wyatt - now with the power to manipulate molecules - Ladybug - now with the power to see the future - and Oldest Twin - now with the power to move things with her mind - would be the stars. And if their Aunt Prue would be their new guide (Prue would never be a whitelighter) so no fears of someone falling in love with their whitelighter, making sure it's a totally different show, it's definitely a sequel I would've watched, especially if they did it now when Wes Ramsey and Drew Fuller are too old to play Wyatt and Chris.

I am not sure if I would like a series with another set of sisters. But one thing that will always annoy this girl is that each set of sisters had so many kids. Even if a power of three did pass on - too many children. I would of *much* preferred if the power of three was one child from each of the sisters.
I agree with Es on their whitelighter not being able to fall in love with the new set of Charmed Ones. That would totally make it a different show. Maybe even making their whitelighter much older and wiser to someone as old as Grams or Victor or Sam. (Not that it stops them from dating older men or women). But I would like it to be someone much older to guide them.

I'ld never watch a show with Phoebe's girls new Charmed Ones, it'ld take away every meaning of 8 seasons I agree. Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige were special. I liked that the Charmed power was a one-time thing. Or two, because of the two sets of sisters. But still, within the same generation. The idea that the power can be passed on and on any time there are three sisters really cheapens the idea of it being special. I don't mind if the Charmed power is only alive as long as three of the sisters are. I'd prefer it to die with them, actually. Or at least not come back until long, long after they're dead. Perhaps it resurfaces every 300 years after the death of the last sister. I just can't stand the thought of one of their sets of children having the Charmed powers. Just like the focus on Wyatt and Chris during the second half of the show, the idea of passing their Charmed powers to their kids is like saying it was really about the kids all along. I'd prefer it to remain some mysterious thing that their kids whisper about to each other, and the stories of the Charmed Ones turn into family legend after their deaths. If every set of three girls has it after them, there's no mystery or intrigue to it anymore.
