Can someone explain this out of character episodes for Andy in "The Witch Is Back" and "Wicca Envy", why was Andy such a prick to Prue in some scenes?
I mean didn't they end off on good terms sort of in "The Truth Is Out There... And It Hurts"?

Can someone explain this out of character episodes for Andy in "The Witch Is Back" and "Wicca Envy", why was Andy such a prick to Prue in some scenes? I mean didn't they end off on good terms sort of in "The Truth Is Out There... And It Hurts"? In both situations, Andy still didn't know what the big secret was that she was keeping from him, how was he to know that it might have been something illegal. he was acting like a cop, perfectly in character. The one who I thought was the prick and out of character was Prue, who didn't tell him the truth right away. Just think what their relationship might have been like had she loved him enough, trusted him enough, to tell him the truth the way Piper didn't tell Dan while Paige did tell Henry. Just seeing these differences is why Paige & Henry are my favorite couple on Charmed between Prue & Andy, Piper & Leo, Phoebe & Cole and Paige & Henry. Paige was SO lucky not to have been raised by Kern's version of Grams (S3-8)! It's why I think Andy would've made a better whitelighter than Brody - unlike most of the characters in Charmed, Andy respected authority. It's also why I don't think Prue would've - she didn't. She would've made a better guide, independent of the Elders.

Andy would have made a better whitelighter because he "respected authority"? Why is that so important?
And why is Brody still being bashed by fandom . . . even after he had been proven to be right about the Avatars being a problem? He was wrong about them killing his parents. But he was right to still be suspicious of them. I've always regarded what the Avatars, Leo and the Halliwells did in "Extreme Makeover: World Edition" and "Charmageddon" to be absolutely loathesome.

She broke up with him and he had almost no idea why, he knew it was some kind of secret that she was keeping from him and instead of trusting him and telling him AND giving him more than 60 seconds to process it she just ended it after seeing his initial reaction. I always thought Prue was very naive at this point in the show, do you really expect him to just fully accept it out of nowhere like that in the time you gave him to actually process it? I'd be pissed at her as well tbh. I think he was trying to shut off any emotional attachment and treat her like any cop would treat her, after all, she did actually break into a museum ILLEGALLY and then proceed to STEAL from it. He followed her because he wanted to find out what she was hiding after all the secrecy and ending a seemingly good relationship because of it. Because of the effects of the truth spell he had no idea what had happened, it must have been very strange from his point of view.

I understand Andy and his bitterness for Prue scarce trust in him
I still think that he'ld always be a trustworthy friend, but he'ld never change his mind about not seeing a future life with a witch,a very understandable choice
I don't think that the Elders have to turn Andy in a whitelighter, the world is full of good men, not necessarily they have to be recruited
I don't imagine Andy as Whitelighter and neither Kyle, that I judge a man too obsessive and even violent, I don't like his desire for vengeance

It's one thing to accept the magic, another thing to create a family with a witch
A man of orderly mind as Andy, had the right to dream of a normal life without demons and dangers, for his family Like all people who was raised by a devoted and calm family, he wanted to create a similar Henry, as Phoebe and Piper, as probably Bane, grew up without a real family, so he was more willing to take a challenge with a witch
Regarding Dane, Piper wished to love him, but she wasn't able so it was better don't tell anything

I agree with you all. The last time Andy had spoken to Prue prior to 'The Truth is Out There...' was after Prue's string of cancelled dates in 'The Fourth Sister' thanks to Aviva. They had that argument at the end of the episode, in which Andy admitted that he wasn't sure if he wanted to see Prue anymore. The next time he sees her he is under the influence of the truth spell and so can't account for an entire 24 hours one the spell ends - the last thing he remembers is Prue, almost in tears, at his front door telling him she's "has to go". After that, he's called to her office in 'The Witch is Back' to investigate her shattered window.... and then she goes and breaks into a museum! Talk about a major head f*ck.

I don't think Andy was being harsh (I'm going to use the word harsh, instead of the word that the OP used, but I digress). Andy was expressing his impatience with Prue playing cat and mouse with him. Life is so much more simpler to tell the truth than to go around keeping secrets, but I digress. TBH, I think Andy should've found out sooner than he did. It was getting old, Prue constantly having this secret from Andy.

Can you blame him for how badly Prue was to continue to lie to him about her secret. I really wished he found out sooner. But this is the problem with the show, all the sisters apart from Paige, too so long telling a non-magical their secret.
