Which sister pairing switcheroo would have been the best?

We often talk on here dears about which sister should of ended up with who. But what about switching up the couples, and pairing a sister up with another character?

Also you are able to re-cast the actor if you feel the casting wouldn't work with pairing a sister with them, and taking into consideration that you can introduce someone earlier or later to make it work too.

Prue and Cole would of been WAY better. The chemistry between Shannen and Julian was so good.

In my Dream Charmed, I match up Phoebe with Andy (but played as Mark from 'Dead Man Dating since Andy looks too old to be Phoebe's age), Piper with Henry (who takes Dan's place...), and Prue with Cole. If I had to include Paige, I'd match her with Leo. That's a double switcheroo that makes the most sense to me. But since I couldn't choose Phoebe and Mark, I chose Phoebe and Leo. So my three for this were:

Prue with Cole
Piper with Henry
Phoebe with Leo

Prue/Cole. I can see the appeal of this, and it would work well if Prue isn't attached to Andy at the beginning of the series. As we discussed in another thread about Prue not telling Andy the secret and how she just was as a character at that point in her life. Piper/Andy. Piper always wanted a normal life, and Andy would just have been better for Piper in this case. Both would get the normal life they wanted. So this leaves Phoebe, maybe she could be linked to Leo. Give her this storyline. She loved magic, and well Leo is a whitelighter. I think this pairing would be better than Piper being paired with Leo. She nags all the time about wanting a normal life.

I think these three pairings would of been better suited for each of the sisters.

Prue and Cole definitely. If Piper wasn't with Leo, then I would pick Andy or Mark.

Piper and Leo are perfect, but if it wasn't possible, I think Piper and Henry
I don't like Prue and Cole, too similar leading persons, I'ld like better Prue and Bane
I often told I'ld like to see Phoebe and Brent Miller, as many women grown up without a father, she is attracted by more adult men
It's difficult to find a man for Paige, she was a free spirit, maybe Drake was fit fo her

Doesn't surprise me Prue and Cole are in the lead in the polls. The actor's had the best chemistry. Now if we *had* to have Leo with a sister, Paige or Phoebe were the better fit, and I see many other's here agree.

Your right about that. Piper was better off with someone not magical. And Phoebe's love of magic as seen in S1, makes her perfect for Leo. Actually, Paige too.

I LOVE Piper and Leo myself but I loved Paige and Leo's chemistry in A Paige from the Past as well as Knight to Remember. I like the idea of Prue and Cole because of the chemistry but I think as characters, they wouldn't fit. Phoebe was the most innocent of the three sisters and not very skeptical. This made it easy for her to see good in Cole. Prue, being the oldest of the three was much more cautious and wouldn't be able to see Cole's good side as easily I feel as Phoebe did. To be honest, I could see Piper with Cole though because she was the only other one to forgive Cole for his past...I cannot really see Paige or Prue to be with Cole myself. But mine of course Dream Charmed would be:

Prue/Andy
Piper/Leo
Phoebe/Dan
Paige/Henry

Prue and Cole - would be very interesting trying to see Prue being tempted to the dark side, and breaking her. Leaving her younger sisters vulnerable.

Piper and Andy - They might have been better than Prue and Andy. At least Piper wouldn't complain so often about her normal life. Since Andy and she would want the same thing.

Phoebe and Leo - Just because of Phoebe's personality and her liking magic in the beginning.

But I guess the show went for opposites attract and what made the show more interesting than pairing people who they felt would really work better.

Sasha, you bring up a good point. The series did set Prue up to be almost perfect (save for Just Harried) and her being tempted to the dark side is rather interesting - especially since Cole came in at a time when Prue and Phoebe were all alone. But yeah I'll stick with Phoebe and Dan, only cause they're like writing themselves out in my story.

Things would progress well. But I feel like the other pairings we did get added conflict and they were not matched perfectly, and opposites attract. But if Phoebe and Leo were together we do still get conflict, but at least unlike Piper, Phoebe wouldn't constantly want her normal life.

It definitely does. I agree that with the canon pairs we get added conflict, but when the conflicts made them worse people rather than better, I'm not sure if the added conflict was a good idea.

I really like the idea of Phoebe with Leo. It would've helped keep her interested in both magic and innocents while letting him remain a whitelighter, the best thing for both of them.

I don't think Piper would tell Andy the secret. After all, she didn't tell Dan. I think she'd try to keep their relationship as "normal" as possible. But that's why I don't think they'd last, so Andy would just become a friend to all rather than having to die.

Seeing Perfect Prue's reaction when she finds out the man she's so in love with is actually a demon and having to decide if she can save him or have to vanquish him would've been *such* fun! And if they were *the* couple, I don't think they would've fired Shannen even as I don't think they would've fired Alyssa. That had to make the show better without the addition of a half-whitelighter to make things "fresh". I'm sure the series would've only gone four seasons since I don't think Shannen would've signed her second contract-not with Kern in charge-and if she didn't, Holly probably wouldn't, but in my opinion four seasons with the original three with none of the actors becoming producers would've been better than four with Holly and Alyssa turning their characters into idealized versions of themselves.

While Phoebe/Cole was GREAT in S3/4, if I had to choose, it would be Prue/Cole. Prue can hold a grudge and Cole betraying her would've been BIG.

OH! I hadn't thought about Prue and her ability to hold a grudge! Can you just imagine her in Season Four? No way she'd become Queen of the Underworld! Although I do think that unlike Piper and Phoebe, like Paige, she'd realized he was possessed or influenced or whatever the heck he was (part of why that's my least-favorite storyline) and unlike Paige, Phoebe and Piper would believe her. How much more fun could that have been? Especially because I'm sure they would've either saved Cole or vanquished Belthazor and not bring him back and we wouldn't have to put up with Crazy Stalker Cole in Season Five.

And Prue's sense of intuition was also incredibly sharp, I have no doubt she'd realize that something was up with Cole.

Phoebe and Leo would make a better match. I can't see Phoebe treating Leo the same way Piper did.

Maybe it would be for the better to keep Andy as the friend and ally at the police station. He would be better than Darryl longterm based on his longtime knowing of them as kids.

I never considered that killing Prue off as she had no ties to an arc or love interest. That had it been her and Cole they may not have gotten rid of her.

That really would of been amazing. Since knowing Shannen, she gets to be the star of this story and I think she would have done it well.

I'm sure it means that Prue knows somethings up with Cole much quicker than the real show did.

And had Prue not died. The arc would just start at the beginning of S4 and been the arc for all of season 4 with a sister going evil. Without introducing Paige. I'm certain this is the setup they planned at the end of S3 with Phoebe before firing Shannen.
