All un-picked up pilots are TV movies until they are picked up by the network.

CW only picked up the show due to the Charmed branding. Without it, it wouldn't have landed a pilot order and just get buried in the development bin. I appreciate the fans efforts but CW have dealt with a far more toxic fanbase and that didn't budge them. The only way this show won't make it to series is if the pilot turns out to be really bad. Holly better be careful in attacking CW though. That's 2 studios that might black list her. I'm curious which of two reboots on CW will work or won't. Charmed reboot went with different names while Roswell went with the same characters.

Feel inclined to side with those who believe that this reboot should rebrand itself as an individual product as so much of the original material has been drastically altered. It should aspire to stand on its own merit, not take advantage of the name recognition that comes with Charmed. Yes. Agreed. If it's so depend on the original for marketing. You are doing it wrong. Exactly right dear. They are thinking marketing it under Charmed will give it a success. They are doing it wrong. I *SO* hope they change the title of the show and come out and say this is a new series inspired by Charmed. The same way Charmed was inspired by The Craft, with using the 'How Soon Is Now Theme' as a way to honor that film - while being completely different than the film. I'm not looking forward and dreading, whenever someone types Charmed into a google search, you might find all that comes up is stuff on the reboot since it is recent, while not seeing the Classic Charmed series as the first thing viewed. At least the Sabrina reboot is going under a different name, than what they used for the original, and is very different than the original series.

Maybe they should have gone with calling it “The Craft” since its reminding me more and more of the craft movie, but with sisters, as i see it coming together

That's funny you should bring that up, I remember a few years ago talk of rebooting The Craft came up. Guess it never went anywhere.

The actor is 40 years old according to his profile. So that is two actors over the age of 30 in the reboot dears.
Maybe he will truly be more of a father figure to the girls? Or at least he can just stay their guide. I truly hope dears he isn't paired with one of the sisters, and hope that by casting someone age 40 will mean no Piper/Leo 2.0. But that might not mean anything if the actress cast as the oldest sister is in her 30s.
I do hope he is more of a father figure.

Wonder if we will have another manor on a spiritual nexus?

I do wonder this myself dear. I know from the audition video's they had one of the sisters suggest selling the manor. Which I *truly* hope they don't do. But I have a feeling the youngest sister *might* be living in a dorm on campus.
It's possible that only the mother was living in the manor before she died, while the other two were living on campus in the college, and the middle sister moved in with her girlfriend after.
It would not surprise me at all, if the spiritual nexus or some form of it is underneath the college campus itself.

Rupert is a brilliant actor so the casting department is stellar on their part. His character description is very reminiscent of Jane The Virgin's father Rogelio De La Vega who is kind and generous and has a swagger to him and very narcissistic. Him being older is a delightful surprise and I hope he takes more of a fatherly figure or older brother role to the girls.

Maybe they actually learned something from Charmed's mistakes..
Although I still wonder if rather than a whitelighter, he ends up being the Cole-character - that he starts out seeming to be their whitelighter but is actually their enemy. Them caling him "devilishly" handsome is what makes me wonder.
And I must admit - this guy is "devilishly" handsome. I watched him on High Castle for a while (got bored with it after a while) and he was *very* good.

I hope Harry turns out to be the bad guy pretending to be their whitelighter, that would certainly be different and it would also keep the sisters on their toes on who to trust moving forward. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if it does turn out to be someone like Galvin who is one of the sisters love interests.
But to me, that was already told before with Cole so we already have seen that been done. Having the bad guy being someone who the sisters trust as a mentor and who isn't one of their love interests, is much more interesting and different. That is what I hope they decide to do for a reboot.

Don't get your hopes up on the bad guy thing. I've heard the guy from The Man in the High Castle is too good for CW that I doubt they'd kill him off easily. Usually the leads are tied for six seasons on CW. The boyfriends are the ones I think are very expendable.

Can't we have stable relationships without crazy evil drama? What a shocker that would be.

Maybe he is not Cole and Macy/Galvin are the main couple of the show, they will have a on and off relationship like Xo and Rogelio on Jane The Virgin. In Galvin's description they say that he is "very supportive". Well maybe he won't be that much supportive when he learns that Macy is a witch...

In Galvin's description they say that he is "very supportive". Well maybe he won't be that much supportive when he learns that Macy is a witch... I must say, I really do like the storyline so far. I do like the actresses and actors that have been selected.
Macy would be half black wouldn't she? If the Mom is Latina or White, the father would therefore be black?
I thought I remember Macy definitely being black?
I also like some of the originality behind the show. I will miss premonitions but maybe Madison's power will work similarly, like she'd have to touch them or something, but I am glad it's not a direct replica. I think Empathy would have been a cooler power, but maybe it will evolve into this. I also like how the half sister is the oldest... I wonder what the storyline is here and why she was given up?
I like the idea of not all of them living in the Manor...yet.
I really do like how 2 of the girls are academics.
I really do like how the 'feminist' aspect of the show is relevant for considering the climate #metoo #times up
Are they 'Charmed' and do they use the 'Power of Three'?
I can't wait for the first Promo shot. And I kinda do hpme, even though they are ethnic differences and half siblings...that they look and feel like sisters.
Prue, Piper and Phoebe really did look like sisters, regardless of what hair colour they had. And Piper and Phoebe always looked like sisters, but I just remember seeing the Season 5 and 6 promo shots and thinking that they didn't look and feel like sisters...
and like most of us... this show needs to focus on sisters who happen to be witches.... bought together not only by magic but my sisterhood and familial bonds!!!! PLEASE LISTEN WRITERS !
