Charmed Favorite, Disliked, Overrated and Forgotten Episodes

Attempting my first ever thread at the Charmed Cafe. 

What are your favorite, least favorite, overrated, underrated and forgotten five episodes of Charmed?


Favorite Five: Five favorite episodes of Charmed.


Least Favorite Five: Least favorite episodes of Charmed.


Overrated Five: What is regarded as liked by many that you find overrated.


Underrated Five: Episodes not appreciated enough but you think are so underrated.


Forgotten Five: Episodes that are just forgotten and barely get talked about at all.

Favourite five:
1. Something Wicca this Way Comes: The one that started it all. I loved how Prue, Piper and Phoebe got their powers and defeated their first warlock.
2. Charmed Again (both parts): This was a very sad episode but I felt so happy for Paige finding her family again and the Charmed ones were back.
3. Hell Hath No Fury: Piper's pain, Paige's naivety and Phoebe trying to be level headed was really fun to watch.
4. Morality Bites: Our job is to protect the innocent, not punish the guilty. I will forever remember that line.
5. All Halliwell's Eve: This really a good episode overall.

Least Favourite Five:

1. Which Prue Is It Anyway?: It seemed too pointless.
2. Just Harried: I felt this episode should have been Piper's and Prue kind of took it over.
3. Bride and Gloom: It seemed pointless once again and I just felt Piper and Phoebe gave in too easily to evil
4. Hyde School Reunion: This episode threw Morality Bites out of the window. Phoebe and Paige were protecting innocents yes but they also punished Rick for his crime by having him killed.
5. Oh my Goddess (both parts): This show was ridiculous. Leo did not need to become a freaking Elder.

Overrated five:
1. That 70s episode: I like it but I do feel it's not the best.
2. All Hell Breaks Loose: I think Prue dying in Be Careful What You Witched For was much more realistic.
3. Murphy's Luck: I didn't really like yet another episode focused on Prue.
4. Chris-Chrossed: Again I liked it but there are better ones.
5. P3 H2O: I got a little bored in that one.

Underrated five:
1. Trial by Magic: Does anyone even remember this episode?
2. Death Takes a Halliwell: I loved this episode so much. I can't explain it but Prue fighting Death was hilarious and then her acceptance of death was done beautifully.
3. Siren Song: I thought the Siren was a pretty cool demon and Piper and Leo switching was hilarious to watch.
4. Yu Tu Mummy Tambien: The true bond of the new Power of three was shown with Piper being the big sister who saves both her little sisters.
5. Spin City: Come on, Chris's daddy issues were awesome to watch.

Forgotten Five:

1. Prewitched: I never see people talking about this one and it was such an amazing episode.
2. Apocalypse Not: Piper and Phoebe deciding to sacrifice Prue to save the world was amazing Although I see why it's forgotten
3. Awakened: Another one I rarely see being talked about. Leo broke the rules for Piper for the first time.
4. The Day the Magic died: I actually like this episode even if I too forget it.
5. Marry-Go-Round: Worst episode ever

VERY interesting topic for your first thread! But try as I might, I couldn't come up with just 5 for any of these. So I decided to just stick with what I count as Charmed and not its alternate-universe spin-off:

Sorry, Sasha, but I'm not going to do the others just because I think that thanks to my age (64), my viewpoint is a lot different than most fans, so I feel that my reactions would be totally different if I were younger.

I'm curious as to why you like Murphy's Luck? It's actually one of my favorite episodes too, but most reaction I see to it is disinterest at best and dislike at worst.

I liked that episode too. It may not be on my top 5, but it's in my top S2 episodes list. I liked the innocent, and the story was great for Prue.

It really was. I felt that Murphy's Luck forced open a deep part of Prue that she never would have let out otherwise, a piece of her that even her sisters didn't know about. It was also important to me for personal reasons, but in a healing way; seeing Prue, a character I admire for her strength, deal with similar issues at my age and then mature into a woman with her life together beyond that gave me hope. There were definitely some headscratching moments concerning the Darklighter and plot, but I'm always willing to forgive stuff like that in favor of character exploration.

That's my reasons, too, besides *really* like Amy Adams long before I found out that it *was* Amy Adams in that episode. It's my favorite "innocent" story. I also love that particular form of a darklighter and wish more of them had been like him - definitely a villain I love to hate! Finally, because I love Leo best as a whitelighter, him begging THEM (before they became Kern's Elders) to give him back his powers is one of my all-time favorite scenes in Charmed.

Seems we do all feel the same. I'm going to have to re-watch this episode one time. It has been ages.

You'll have to let us know what you think of it after you rewatch it. I've rewatched my favorites from the first three seasons I'm not sure how many times, and I love them more each time I do.

 A great summer adventure for me. Since Summer is when I'll be less busy and have time off work. Can't wait!

Just noticed that 3/5 of my least favs deal with Charmed tackling gender issues very badly.
