Prue would be really bossey over Paige And, Paige would rebel LOL Yes def! I kind of think it would be like how Billie didn't like listening to The Charmed Ones. But on second thought, I dont think it would have been fair for Prue to lose Phoebe. I couldn't see her getting over it. The only thing I would have preferred is Paige being older, like a teenage pregnancy of Patty and Sam so it didn't disrupt the birth order and Phoebe's character doesn't move to being the middle child. |

Love all these thoughts/ideas, rebooted, prudencehalliwell, and Aaeiyn! My pick would be Phoebe to die just because of the tension between Shannen and Alyssa. Phoebe would be dead and maybe the chemistry with Prue and Cole would have played out or he would have become the Source much faster. Prue would be really bossey over Paige and then Piper would have taken Phoebes places trying be the mediator rather than the lead sister. But Prue and Cole though...  (I’m Prue/Andy OTP, but I like me Prue/Cole too ;P) The set-up with Prue, Piper, and Paige will be different still even if Paige replaces Phoebe as the youngest, she isn't the baby in Prue and Piper's eyes, that will forever be Phoebe. Paige grew up as the only child, so I see her and Prue clashing heaps, as Phoebe will forever be the baby sister in Prue and Piper's eyes. I do see, Piper struggling to be mediator for Prue and Paige, even more than she did with Prue and Phoebe, due to the differences. I do see this as some character development for Prue, mourning Phoebe, but knowing she can't boss Paige around like she could Phoebe because Paige is more independent and grew up as an only child, and is used to doing things on her own and her way. So this would be an adjustment for Prue. Yes, I would have loved to see how this would have affected Prue. Struggling with Phoebe’s death while at the same time trying to be a big sister to Paige, but Paige still wanting to maintain her independence. Oh, how I would have loved to see how Prue and Paige’s relationship would have played out over the seasons on the show... Why I’m always including Prue and Paige meeting in some way in all my fanfic stories lol. And, Paige would rebel LOL Yes def! Just really think the dynamic of this trio would have been interesting. Also like that it keeps Prue and Piper in the same roles (Prue being the oldest and Piper being the middle sister) with the addition of Paige navigating her life now with sisters as she was always an only child. |

My idea is Cole dies alongside with Phoebe. See, they all survive the events of All Hell Breaks Loose and start knowing about Paige, whom the Source wants to cut out, so the Charmed Ones don't become more powerful, than they already are. I'll have my cake and eat it, too. I'll have a small window of "The Power of Four", since the original Power of Three won't actually defeat the Source (in this moment, in time), the Power of Four will (without the need to call upon their ancestors, quite yet). Phoebe & Cole become leaders of the Underworld, that's when they'll have to call upon their ancestors to defeat them, killing Phoebe & Cole, in the process. I'm messed up and want the Charmed Ones to kill their own sister ;P That'll really mess them up, and Prue can either be reunited with Bane, when he gets out of prison or be with Andy, since he's a whitelighter, in my head ;P

If this were to happen, I would love if Prue and Cole had a daughter and named her Phoebe, it would be beautiful for them. |

I'm loving reading about everyone's ideas. I still think it would be better if Piper died, but if Phoebe did, I can see a lot of things playing out the way people have said.
I really enjoyed watching Piper and Paige bond in season 4. That was one of the highlights of the season for me. But I think it would have been even better watching Prue and Paige do the same. Piper wouldn't have been nearly as challenging to get along with if Phoebe died instead of Prue, and I think it would be a lot harder for Prue and Paige to find common ground, which would be great to see.
I'm on the fence about Prue and Cole. At first, just the idea that he was with Phoebe makes it seem a bit inappropriate, but they were only together for a few months before he left for another few months. Then they weren't really a couple for long before he left again. I guess I could be more on board with it if he and Phoebe didn't have so much of a romantic relationship, but perhaps were mostly just friends while dating casually.
Maybe Prue is the one who likes him at first instead of Phoebe, but just like with Phoebe finding out about Leo's identity as a whitelighter before her sisters, perhaps she also is the one to first find out that Cole is a demon. Maybe Phoebe's passion for him would have mostly been that she sees herself in him as someone who is fighting a darker nature, and she wants to save him. Perhaps there's a bit of romantic tension between the two, but that ultimately doesn't have time to play out because she dies.
If that's the scenario, I could be a lot more okay with Prue and Cole being together. Prue might be hesitant at first because she isn't sure of the whole nature of their relationship and she doesn't want to disrespect her dead sister. And Cole might be hesitant because while he always liked Prue better, he may feel he owes Phoebe his loyalty in a way, even though she's dead, since she was the one who saved his life. He might feel like he's able to fall in love and move on with his life only at the expense of Phoebe.
Also, someone mentioned how it might be if Paige were older than all the others. That would have been so much fun to see. And I know this goes against the idea of the thread, but when I picture an older Paige, I see Prue, Piper, and Phoebe all still alive, like one of them doesn't have to die to find her. Paige being the product of a teenage affair between Patty and Sam, and Paige being given up purely because Penny doesn't want Patty to face significant challenges being a mom before she's ready, makes so much sense.
For some reason I can see Paige (or whoever she is instead of Paige, because Rose doesn't look old enough to play the other three's big sister) being kind of a mess. She'd have a job and everything, but perhaps be a bit disorganized and flighty. I can see Prue, Piper, and Phoebe, despite all being younger, having to act as big sisters of sorts to this woman while trying to get her to take magic seriously. It would also be a lot of fun to watch someone well into her 30s find out she's a witch rather than the original three, who were all younger. I'm not sure why, but this is just a version of events I can see clearly if Paige were older.

I decided to push one of my posts from the first page here, since I sill feel the same way. Piper Piper and Prue were too close and Paige would've felt even more like an outsider than she did with Prue gone. Without Piper there's no Wyatt or Chris. This also makes for a better show as it wouldn't just be about Piper's family as it would continue to be if Piper was there. And if Phoebe died, they'd still try to make Paige too much the baby sister she never was. With Piper gone and Prue still the Oldest and Phoebe the Baby, Paige had a better chance to be the Only Child she should've been and the fights between her and Prue would've been hilarious with poor Phoebe trying to play mediator and not succeeding. I'm sure with Prue still there, she's be the one who would turn into the Power of One and Poor, Poor Pitiful Prue no matter who died. So I'd like that version of S4-8 as much as I like the current - which isn't much. Had this been done at the end of Season Two, I'd say Phoebe just so she'd get a chance to remain my Phoebs. But by this point she was already PhoeME so I already didn't like her, just like by this point I didn't like Piper and didn't like Prue. |
