Charmed possible movie/next generation talk ongoing?

Saw these online, sounds like Holly and Alyssa are still trying to bring Charmed back, and these videos it appears Alyssa and one writer (no idea who, I wonder if its a former Charmed writer) went to discuss ideas per-pandemic last year.

First video Holly talks about having an ally in Netflix and tosses the idea to Rose (who really doesn't seem interested and wants to only direct Shannen, Holly and Alyssa, but not star in it. But Rose really isn't happy to hear Shannen wants to direct too).

Second video Holly follows up on her chat with Rose to a fan explaining an update on it. Seems she has talked the idea with Shannen, if she's up to it. (Shannen has been filming lots of movies this year I've seen, so I guess she's doing okay now and would do something for it). The story for the show/movie Holly revealed is very possibly next generation.

I wonder with how much Rose hates acting and will only direct something, and Hollywood wanting nothing to do with her. If they'll go ahead (if it happens) without her, and just have the other three (Shannen, Holly, Alyssa) in it.

I re-watched the first video, recently and by the sound of it, both Shannen and Rose seem to only be interested in directing rather than acting. I've followed Rose, a little bit, and she quit the acting industry (for reasons that are understandable). Rose even called Alyssa "the other one". Like Weinstein, she won't even address Alyssa by her name. So, unless Rose is directing, we won't see Rose on a Charmed project due to her not being interested in acting and is slightly only interested in directing. Which seems to conflict with Shannen's interest and/or desires to direct, as well.

Both Holly and Rose have kept in contact, even after all this time. I remember Holly using her own phone, to get Rose on camera, for a video call interview with Brian and Drew, and I think it's adorable how Holly tries to appease her fans by remaining neutral with everyone. I've heard Holly isn't as close or not friends anymore with Shannen but like I haven't found any proof of that, but I digress.

I think Holly is exactly like her character, Piper and just wants peace among the Charmed household, and it's really cute and adorable LOL

Alyssa did some Reddit Q&A today, I don't use reddit, but the post popped up on socials.

Nope, its not moving forward any ideas they had in mind or talks have all shut down. Not surprised, the chances were always very low to be honest, and the feud with Alyssa and Rose is the reason it won't ever happen.

I can live with fanfictions, where no behind the scenes issues get in the way of telling stories. I've kind of moved on with the idea of a reunion ages ago.

But nice to get an answer, so fans can get closure to the idea.

Also the other Charmed related answers she gave were that the Mermaid episode 'A Witches Tail' is her favorite, and she only talks to Holly from the cast, and some messages to Shannen checking in with her every two months, but apart from that nobody else.

I saw that on Reddit, as well. I question the legitimacy of this "source", in particular. As I said on Reddit, don't need this screenshot to tell me this won't happen. Not with Rose nor Alyssa's feud that is never-ending.

I saw this pop up on my social media, too. Wasn't sure if it was real or not, though. If it is true, the news sucks, but I'm not surprised. Though I really wish something could happen just for Shannen's sake, even if it meant getting the original trio together to do something. I wonder, has Alyssa reached out to her about possibly doing something? I really hate saying this but... There won't always be that option. You just don't know with Shannen's health. Again. I really hate even thinking that.

I do know Shannen has kind of been back and forth on the idea of a reunion, too. I watched a more recent convention video where a fan asked about that and she said it depended on numerous factors. Who's writing it, what does the script look like, etc. 

Still always going to be sad that Prue and Paige never met, though. I wonder if there had been a reunion, if Rose would agree to film this with her, even if this was the ONLY scene she did. Maybe the two could work ideas on what they'd like to see, something like that. Maybe Paige had somehow died in the future but we see a flashback of Prue and Paige meeting for the first time. The possibilities are endless honestly, especially with a show involving magic. 

Just like summerreading has said, at least we can keep the spirit alive of Charmed through fanfictions. If we can't get a reunion, we have incredible writers who can come up with these amazing premises of what could have been in a reunion or next generation Charmed scenario. 

Gosh, I just wish things could have been different for these guys. For how strong this fandom has been throughout the years, I wish it could have been the same for them and they could have all been close.

I'm the same way, fanfics are good enough for me. I'll live, even if the only downside, is the show will never feel complete without Prue and Paige meeting, but I'll just have fun seeing that in fanfics.

I'm with you, I wish they could get along and put their differences aside for the fans. But that's just real life for you. It will be heart-breaking if they do make up, by the time they did, god forbid Shannen has passed away from stage 4 cancer. Like you, I hate to think such a thing like that. It has been on my mind. But by that time, all the actresses will be older than Jennifer Rhodes was when she was first cast, so they'd likely do a next generation series than one starring the Charmed Ones, they'd be too old to do that, other than support the younger stars.

Maybe she can ascend to being an Elder and the Headmistress of Magic school, make Paige's life a good one with her family and state that she is too busy to talk to her family, with her only contacting Leo or Piper if need be, over the phone, bring Prue back from the dead using an ancient resurrection spell that Phoebe has a premonition about, have good and evil come together to fight a common enemy then the end of the series. 

You would only need probably 12-14 episodes, Rose and Alyssa don't even need to be in the same room as each-other filming.
