Through the pandemic I watched so many (virtual) panel reunions. Scream, Legally Blonde, The Parent Trap, the list goes on!
It got me thinking - who would be your dream to see at a panel? And more importantly, who would you NOT want there?
This would be my dream list:
Holly Marie Combs (Piper Halliwell) Alyssa Milano (Phoebe Halliwell) Shannen Doherty (Prue Halliwell)
Brian Krause (Leo Wyatt) Finola Hughes (Patty Halliwell) Jennifer Rhodes (Grams/Penny Halliwell) Julian McMahon (Cole Turner/Balthazar) Dorian Gregory (Darryl Morris) James Read (Victor Bennett)
I think it would be cool to have some villains in here - and since Billy Drago has passed I would chose these two: Debbi Morgan (The Seer) Oded Fehr (Zankou)
You will notice I have left out Rose McGowan - I don't think she is in a place where she could attend something like this... peacefully.
I have also left out the performers playing Chris, Wyatt, Billie, Christie, and Andy.
What is everyone's dream list?

Yeah, I think you're right about Rose McGowan not being able to attend peacefully. I think I'd go for some of the villains too, along with the original trio. It would be interesting to see Julian McMahon and Oded Fehr too.

forbuss you nailed the list. I agree, I don't think Rose would be part of it, for all the behind the scenes reasons that we've all come to know. Unlikely, but I'd really love to see a few of the writers on. They'd have so much insight into the characters and writing of the show's journey. With how bad half the writers experiences were, I doubt they'd do it.

Anderson Chris Levinson Nell Scovell Editha Swensen Krista Vernoff Monica Owusu-Breen Alison Schapker Jeanine Renshaw Yep, Kern surrounded by all the women who wrote at least 10 Charmed episodes. I think letting them spew while he has to sit through it would be much, much fun, especially if he doesn't know who will be with him until he's onstage! Funny, but I really wouldn't want to see any of the actors; I prefer just thinking of them as their characters.

I would love a Charmed Reunion, whether that be another season, a movie or as you suggested a panel.
You nailed the list, I think that everyone there would get along with each other or at least co-operate with each other.

Funny, but I really wouldn't want to see any of the actors; I prefer just thinking of them as their characters. Es, I really love your list. I think it would be perhaps more insightful to have the writers (and creator) speak about writing Charmed (characters, stories, etc). The reason I like your list is because often the actors don't have a great insight into specifics. I've saw most of the actors online talk about Charmed and they mostly talk generally about the characters and share off screen experiences. This is because the filming schedule was fast and dirty so the actors don't actually remember much about individual episodes. However, the writers would have more to say about the episodes they wrote and collaborated on. Although it would be fun to see Brad Kern sweat amongst that group, I'd be more interested in that panel if he wasn't there - so they could share shady stories about him (haha). For what it's worth, I feel like Nell Scovell and Krista Vernoff would actually be interested in doing something Charmed related in current day. They are both still working and very active in the industry and social media - I like to brag that I had a twitter conversation with Nell once.

Funny, but I really wouldn't want to see any of the actors; I prefer just thinking of them as their characters. Oooh, I love your idea, Esmerelda. I think it would be interesting to see Krista Vernoff in conversation with Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs on various things: the behind-the-scenes experiences, their experiences as women on Charmed, and the costumes and outfits, since Krista came out with that statement about her experiences on Charmed. I know Holly has made contradicting statements regarding the costumes, but recently she seems like she's been on this kick where she's saying the actresses were allowed to pick their outfits. Alyssa's opinion on the costumes and outfits seems like it's the opposite of Krista's. I'd also love to see Connie talking about her experiences. (I mean, I'd like to see the female writers on the panel too, but Connie, Krista, Alyssa and Holly would be the high points for me.)

Totally love Esmeralda 's idea. I personally feel the actresses won't offer that much other than their experiences filming Charmed. They'll barely remember the episodes. Don't blame them given how demanding the show was to film. I've heard enough from Holly and Brian who've gone to cons multiple times a year. That most of their answers won't be anything we haven't already heard before over the past decade. Unless it's recalling memories if the actresses are all together. It's why the DVD commentaries with writers always became much more resourceful when I listened to them for my favorite shows and films over the years. They wrote the characters and stories. So had much more insightful stories to share in what we care about..the characters. I got bored with the actor ones. All they did was complain about their performances and had some memories they recalled filming. Little about the characters stories as for the most part they don't remember. Which is understandable. I really would love to hear what Connie, Sheryl, Nell and Krista had to say. From Nell's book, she almost could have been the new showrunner after S4 if Kern left. So she has lots of insights she could share. Same with Krista on her views. But Connie would be fascinating to hear too. Alyssa and Holly's views are so different from the writers like Krista. I don't know if I'd want them with the writers. I'd prefer it separate. So both writers and actors can separately speak their truths and opinions.

It would be too many people for me if it were a panel.
I would prefer the original 3 actresses and maybe Brian or Julian and that's it.
Not really interested in having Rose there unless she's cordial

Not really interested in having Rose there unless she's cordial This still makes me sad. I really, really loved Paige and I think Rose would have some great insights into things, especially because it seems she had some different experiences than the other girls. She's worked with Wes Craven, Tarantino, and some other well known directors. However, even aside from the Alyssa stuff, it seems like she just looks back very bitterly on the show. Again, this makes me sad. I am sure Rose has many good memories and experiences on the show but it seems like the negative ones have overwhelmed her experience of the show. And it goes without saying, Rose is totally allowed to speak negatively and openly about her experience. But it is also allowed to make me sad (haha).

If she really didn't want to do Charmed post Season 4, she should have chosen not to renew her contract. Moreso in Season 8 if by that point she really didn't want it. I personally don't understand why she didn't leave and why she felt pressured to stay? If you dont like your job, then move on and do something different. Why put yourself in that position and exacerbate it further.

I don't think Rose had a choice. She signed on for a four or five year contract, I believe when she signed on for Charmed. And from what Holly said when she tried to quit after S3 when Shannen was fired, She'd be sued.
I think Rose signed on to begin with, thinking the show would not go beyond S4. Even though she signed on for a four or five year contract. So she was stuck with the show. Even if she tried to leave, she couldn't because of her contract. So it would have been like Holly trying to quit. She'd be sued too.
I still don't get why she signed on to begin with. She's a movie actress. Did she really think she'd only be there for one year. She should have known, this role could last for years. She should have thought twice before signing a 4 or 5 year contract.

I remember there being more information on what exactly happened with Rose and Alyssa not really wanting to do season 8 - maybe both had tentatively signed on for other projects? Don't quote me on this (haha). Who knows what the studio said to them. Maybe they told Rose the fans would hate her if she didn't come back and blame her for ruining the show? Or maybe they threatened to "blacklist" her or something. I have no idea, just presenting possibilities. In retrospect I would have been fine if Piper had taken the true lead of season 8 and Paige/Phoebe were more supporting. I think this was true in season 8 to an extent because Holly did take on a more central role comparatively.

Who'll be trying hard to remember episodes that fans or interviewers ask them. They film the episodes and move onto the next script. They also don't like watching their own work. I doubt they even remember much twenty years on than some fond memories filming.

I watched the "Scream" online panel a few years ago that featured Rose (And Neve Campbell, among others). It was really great because Rose seemed so happy remembering her time working on that movie. She talked so highly of Wes Craven and said he treated her with a lot of love and kindness. It seemed like those two were pretty good friends - I guess Rose used to babysit Wes' dog when he was out of town. It was just lovely to hear her talk about one of her positive experiences in the industry. I wish she had a similar experience on Charmed and on other projects she's worked on. Here is a lovely picture of them together after filming "Scream" - her big smile makes me happy:
