*Re-Vamped* What Type of OG (TV Show) Fan are You?

Wow, S1-S4 has surpassed the S1-S2 crowd, on these boards D:

I'm shocked LOL

This board DOES favor S1-S2 the most, but I guess with the newer members, we have been talking about S3-S4 more. I just find it interesting to see this occur, in real time LOL

I mean I watch all seasons in order on repeat, I just loop back around when I've finished. So I probably should have voted for option 1. However, Season 8 is my least favourite by a long stretch so I would equally be happy not to rewatch it, I just do for prosperity.

Objectively, the Burge era is probably when Charmed was at its best - writing and acting wise, but their not personally my faves so...

Eventually, I end up watching the whole thing, depending on how I re-watch the show. I wouldn't necessarily say I'm a fan of ALL of it despite being my number one show.

Due to S1-S3 & S6-S7 being what I (personally) watch the most, makes me more of an "other" fan. Though, S4 is starting to be liked more by me, as I view the show in different lenses lol

It's still hard for me to like S5, though.

I'm still saying I'm an "Other: Comment" fan, but I understand the arguments (S1-S4) the Dark Era fans have, as this portion of the show truly utilized ALL of the sisters abilities in a great balanced out way. Whereas, only Paige, in (S5-S8) the Light Era, is having balanced out powers. Until S6 comes along, and Phoebe becomes on par with Paige.

So, I'm REALLY close to becoming a (S1-S4) the Dark Era fan, BUT there's still episodes in (S5-S8) the Light Era that I do like (and have nostalgic feelings for), even if they don't balance out the powers as they should.

I used the acronym "OG" to pertain to the ORIGINAL 1998 - 2006 Charmed and NOT the Reboot. Not to be taken as LITERALLY "gangsters". I can only type so much much in the title box. Seeing as how "1998 - 2006" uses up a lot of space, "OG" was and is simpler to use to make people aware, that I'm talking about the ORIGINAL Charmed and NOT the Reboot.

And if I'm not mistaken that's how ITunes labeled Charmed as Classic series to separate it from the reboot.

Once again, I can only fit in so much in a title box. I can't fit in any of the following: (1998 - 2008), original, classic, or otherwise, in the title box, of the thread. I was fitting in a lot of words and NOTHING would fit BUT "OG", like I said.

I make a lot of threads, often, on here and unlike Reddit, Proboards limits the use of super long titles, for threads. If this was Reddit, I definitely would've used ANY combination of the following: (1998 - 2006), original, classic or otherwise. But, knowing you (and others on the board), "Classic"/original may mean either the Dark Era, the Prue Era or even the Burge era. As we all know the Light Era doesn't do the show justice, and we may not consider it part of the show.

Which is why I always used (1998 - 2006) since it encompasses ALL of it, but I digress. Again, you can only fit in so many words, in a title box, when making a thread, on Proboards:

For anyone who doesn't know, "OG" is an acronym for "original gangster". But, the definition means:

someone or something that is an original or originator and especially one that is highly respected or regarded

Which may not always mean the entirety of the (1998 - 2006) version, but it gets the point across that I'm referring to the (1998 - 2006) one and NOT the (2018 - 2022) one of "Charmed".

I guess "Classic" and "Original" could've fit (as I just tested it out, recently) but what's done is done (as this thread was made back in 2022, and I'm NOT gonna re-make it JUST to remove the acronym "OG"). At the time I wrote out this thread, I was keeping the limitations in mind of what I can and cannot fit in the title box, and "OG" is only two letters long, so I chose to use that, to save space. I'm sorry for the confusion, but I'd like to bring the conversation back to the original topic, of the thread which is asking our favorite season(s) of the (1998 - 2006) version of "Charmed", thanks!

This is definitely me. S6-S7 just holds a special place in my heart. Though, there are times S8 AND S5 do that, too. I could be an "all", but "other" seems more appropriate.

My new rank, now (based off of "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" type of episodes, and ALL three sisters using their abilities, in the same episode whether it's Piper exploding and not just freezing, Paige travel orbing and not just TK-orbing, etc.): S1/S3 > S2 > S4 > S6 > S7 > S5 > S8. I'll put S1 over S3, though 'cause S1 is very near and dear to my heart. Even though, BOTH seasons are practically TIED in showcasing ALL THREE sisters abilities.

But, yes, that's my new order just based off of how well the show truly balances out their powers/abilities, "Protect/Save the Innocent(s)" type of episodes, and if ALL three sisters are using their powers/abilities, in the same episode. No surprise with S8, as it REALLY holds back Phoebe's abilities, to make way for Billie, I guess, but I digress. S5 DOES do a better job with Phoebe than S8, but I digress.

So, really not much different from how I liked the show LOL

Star Trek uses T.O.S., for The Original Series, but it's most often used just in capital letter without the periods.

Unlike Star Trek, Charmed doesn't have a lot of different spin-offs like that. So, it makes sense to say "the periods"/the years, as the reboot was many years after.  Versus all the other Star Treks were really close together in years.  Besides, "TOS" is an acronym for "Terms of Service", typically and not "the original series", in most (not all) cases.  Either way, I've already explained why I used "OG", and why I will NOT re-make this thread, JUST to remove "OG". What's done is done. Let's get back to the "OG" point of the thread, please.
