Random idea but I wondered with all the writers and with directions the show took - sometimes episodes that changed the entire storyline of the show, e.g.: "Secrets and Guys" confirming whitelighters and bringing back Leo, "P3H20/Charmed Again" being the obvious episodes that changed the direction/storylines....whether you think there were others, or you felt that that is where a storyline was headed.
This isn't necessarily something that you wanted to happen but somethething you think you think was written but didn't quite make the cut.
There are well known episodes/storylines who know they didn't go through with e.g. Cole and Paige hocking up, and Phoebe potentially keeping the demon baby or that story line being drawn out.

I thought they were going to do more with the Rowe Coven, like why give them an entire backstory and set them up like that just so they could be vanquished and Brendon could be a priest.

The Evil Charmed Ones should've been a whole arc. Honestly would've preferred that than the battle with the Source. I don't know why they wasted this on a one-shot episode.
But Charmed always had a habit of wasting potential. So many story-lines are either cut too soon or don't go anywhere. But, I never thought Charmed was the type of show where the story-arcs were the strongest part of the show.

Maybe season 3 could have been the Halliwells vs the Rowes? I agree with you completely, Charmed threw stuff at the wall to see what stuck then abandoned the ideas once they realised they weren't creative enough for that storyline. Phoebe being the Queen of the Underworld and having the heir (in my dream, heiress) would have been great but nope they obviously decided to go down a different path and then character assassinate her. I believe that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse should have been season eight's arc, rather than sisters vs sisters, especially when the Stillmen sisters were better than the Jenkins

This is a great idea for a thread!
I thought they would do more with the Gypsy clan they met in S5 - particularly with Ava. I know there was someone named Eve who was in one episode but I think it fell off after that. I really love "The Eyes Have It" and feel it's one of the strongest episodes in S5. So I wished they had of done more there.
I also wish they could have kept Charisma Carpenter as Kyra on in S7 in a guest recurring role. It would have been great to see her more as she had great chemistry with Leo and the sisters - particularly Phoebe. I may sound like a broken record but I really do wish Kyra and Phoebe had of developed a romantic relationship. Call me crazy but I think Phoebe/Kyra flirted pretty heavily and seemed to have a connection that was more than friends. Anyone else agree?
I also am biased because I just love Charisma Carpenter (haha).

They could have made Ava a more prominent member of the show and blended her magic with witch magic. I thought Kyra was the best potential partner for Phoebe. As much chemistry and interest that Phoebe had towards the men she dated or even just flirted with, I can't see any of them working long term with her. I think Phoebe was the type to be in short yet intense relationships with men, and I could see her not getting as bored with Kyra. This is especially true since Kyra seemed a bit more flighty and silly than Phoebe was at this stage, which would give Phoebe a chance to be more of an adult and continue to grow up more. However, Kyra would also bring back more of her fun side that she lost after meeting Cole.

I wish Alyssa did more of the panels but I also understand why she doesn't. If I was ever at a Charmed panel or convention featuring Charmed I would definitely ask this. I know Holly and Charisma are friends so it would also be interesting to hear Holly's thoughts. Holly seems to be the most "tuned in" to the fandom since the ending of the show.

I think Alyssa's doing a con panel later this year. But I'm not sure when it is. There's a recent con she did earlier this year. I also am biased because I just love Charisma Carpenter (haha). This is the spin-off I wanted more than anything else - the demon who wanted to be a human and her Halliwell lover. If ten years from now they decide to do another Charmed reboot, I hope it's three new actresses playing Prue, Piper and Phoebe, and Kyra is Phoebe's lover, starting in S1, with them as the couple who makes it through the entire series, not Piper and Leo. If they truly played Piper as the romantic (I never thought she was), it would be fun to match her with Mark the Ghost (no whitelighters, please) while matching Prue with Cole in the last season. If only...

Of course, the one episode that I'm SURE they planned on having and then found out that they couldn't, but that most fans (me included) always with they would, is one that shows what happened between 'All Hell Breaks Loose' and 'Charmed Again'. I don't know how they could've come up with an entire episode for that, but it would've been fun to see what they come up with. Although I doubt theirs would've been better than some of the fanfics that have been written.

But it would've been fun to see. Especially if they just had the rights to Shannen's image so they could do similar to what the amazing fan videos have done.

I'll always be upset that S3 and S4 never had a truly proper transition. But I just don't know if they'd do a good enough job.
It must be mighty confusing for new fans to go from watching the end of S3 to starting S4. Being shocked to discover that Prue has died when they start 'Charmed Again', and wondering if they missed an episode.

A Christmas episode.

I always wanted a Christmas episode. We were so close to getting one in S4. I'm just so thankful we got the Christmas video in 'Thank You For Not Morphing'. It's better than nothing I suppose. I guess there's also "Yule" the Christmas themed story from one of the novels, as the only produced Charmed story with Christmas.
I'm surprised they didn't do more Halloween episodes. You'd think a show liked Charmed, that would've been done more regularly.

I agree. At least we have the novels which did much more with holiday themes on Charmed that the show never did enough of. I think if we did get that Christmas episode in S4. It would've touched on the first Christmas without Prue. I also wonder if it would've been the episode Victor and Paige formally met for the first time. I'd assume Victor might've showed up for Christmas. But we'll never know. We can only speculate what the episode "Home for the Halliwells" could be about.
I know from the archives I found when I posted it in the S4 sub-board (https://thecharmedcafe.proboards.com/thread/13337/charmed-christmas-episode-went-unfilmed) it got shut down, when they had an episode entitled "Home for the Halliwells" ready to go for the holiday season and it was pulled from the line-up. That doesn't make it clear if the cast got the scripts and it was then shut down, or if the writers had the script all written and it was among the next one ready to go into production, with Holly, Alyssa etc. were about to get copies of the script in the mail.

Most of the members here have already covered most of it. But here's another one. More exploring of the Warren family line. I'd love to know more about the ancestors. Meet Prudence and Briana in the flesh. Get more insight into when the manor got built. I'd also have loved to have seen a bit more covered with Melinda Warren.
The Warren line had so much left unanswered and explored. I felt we learned too much and enough about the Demonic world and Whitelighers/Elders than the Warren line as the show went on.

I've always been interesting in the backstories of the family line. It could've been fun if Briana Warren was seen in a brief flashback during 'Which Prue Is It Anyway'. They could've even had Shannen play her the way they had her and the others play the cousins.

That would be a fun idea. Any time they showed a brief flashback of an ancestor, they could have one of the three leads play her. It would have also been fun if they did a lot more flashbacks in general. Maybe any time they're reading in the book about an ancestor facing a demon or warlock, they could show a few seconds of their confrontation with them, just like they did with Grams fighting the Woogy. It could be a flashback or a vision of Phoebe's.

Like the book itself is giving them a quick history lesson. I do love the idea of one of the three leads playing one of the ancestors in a brief flashback each time we see it. But only brief or one flashback scene. I wouldn't want it overdone and taking up half the episode all the time.
