Listened to Love Hurts today and it continues the same issues we've had all season long with their recaps.
We spend the entire episode complaining about Daisy, talking about actors crying, Brians brown hair, and Piper/Leo as usual.
No talk about switching powers, Prue/Phoebe switching powers and learning how to control them, Prue easily being able to tap into Darklighters hate, etc...

Fortunately, Drew is there. If only he had done it alone. I listened to deja vu. I like him, I think it's nice that he finds out about Charmed's past. Holly and Brian are not serious and so boring

Holly and Brian are not serious and so boring I didn't like Drew in the past because I can't stand Chris, but I'm impressed how invested he seems to be in the podcast. Especially compared to Holly and Brian, who... I don't even know why they are there. |

I didn't like Drew in the past because I can't stand Chris, but I'm impressed how invested he seems to be in the podcast. That's the thing about art (movies, shows, music, etc.). You have to separate the art from the artist. It's unfortunate not a lot of people practice these wonderful words of wisdom. I like Holly but don't like Piper. I like Phoebe but don't like Alyssa. I like Shannen but don't like Prue. Rose/Paige has been fortunate enough for me to like both the artist and art LOL Still, I try not to meet my heroes, either. Another lesson (that S2E18 "Chick Flick" touched on, as well) that hasn't been practiced enough, either. I do like both Drew/Chris. |

Not that I've heard. However the official podcast Instagram started following Rose many weeks back. So perhaps she's going to pop on to recap a S2 episode. The podcast has typically started to follow future guests who'll be on the podcast. As they have with all the other guests they've had on. Shannen's attending 90s con next weekend (March 17-19) with Holly and Rose, so perhaps they'll reveal more about their plans for the S2 podcast then. And reveal if Shannen's going to appear on it. It's likely going to be a question brought up to Shannen and or the panel next weekend. |

She'll be on for Witch Trial. Be kinda cool if they did more pods with more than one guest on for one episode. I'd love to hear more from the crew and production. So far it's just been guest stars. I feel like the real interesting insights comes from the writers, directors and producers. |

I mean, when there's no guests, the only one who's able to give most insight for the earlier episodes is Holly (since she's the most consistent person appearing in the show), but I do feel that she kind of not giving some very good insight, or that she just doesn't remember most of it, which leads to a lot of out-of-topic discussions. I want to hear more about the Charmed episodes overall, learning the background stuff instead of them jabbing at the characters/ writing if that makes sense? I also recently started listening to others doing similarly rewatch podcast and found myself comparing because some of them are giving very good background info when it comes to the episodes.  |

I'm here for Charmed content. I don't need to hear a majority of the time spent on their personal lives. That's fine but that's not what this podcast is all about.
When you compare Charmed to any other rewatch podcast you'll see just how badly produced the Charmed one really is.

That is my problem with the podcast tbh, that eventually I stopped listening after they did the Halloween watch party (that failed), and just can't find myself the motivation back onto it. I won't say that I am not interested in their personal lives, but when it's too much, like what they are doing, it gets a bit... irrelevant. Yeah, I really started realizing it, which makes me feel bad because I want to love Charmed's, this show means a lot to me.  |

I love Penny and Jennifer Rhodes so much and am kind of worried about her being on the podcast. I just know I'll probably be disappointed because they'll just go off topic, won't serve any tea and the whole thing will be plagued by audio issues.

I just listened to 2x01 Witch Trial podcast with Greg Vaughn and I really enjoyed it.
Did you know that they tried to get Dan back for the last few seasons of Charmed for a few episodes as well?
I am guessing Season 6 or Season 8 as Leo is absent a bit more.
Also, I have mentioned this before but they do mention how they think that Dan was supposed to be for Phoebe but HMC and BK make a good point that the writers may have wanted to keep Phoebe single for a while longer, as the younger sister.
Drew Fuller explains to Greg that he is Leo and Pipers son from the future, Greg tells Holly - wait I thought you had a daughter?
Which is true. I can't wait for them to watch Morality Bites next week - esp because its a time travel episode.
I think its one of the best episode of the show.

Well I'm glad they never ended up bringing Greg back. Like, he's a nice guy but I always hated Dan and his terrible niece.

Interesting I guess that means they could've brought him back in S8 in place of Greg when Piper runs into him when Leo's frozen.
It's interesting how many actors they've tried to bring back but didn't. Much like Tyler saying she was asked back multiple times but was always busy with her theatre commitments.

I listen to them when they come out on Spotify on x1.5 speed because they do talk a lot about just things in general and um and ah a a lot. But yes I would recommend listening to the first 2 of Season 2's rewatch - Greg Vaughn and Jennifer Rhodes are guests and its gotten a lot better after Season 1. You can tell that all 3 of them love watching it. It's also fun listening to Drew watch it for the first time - he is very confused when Piper has Melinda in the future! |
