Also, I thought we were talking about Phoebe's wedding and there was no reason for Sam to be there. He's Paige's biological father, nothing to do with Phoebe, whose father WAS at the wedding and quite possibly doesn't feel the need to see Sam. No we were talking about Paige's wedding regarding Sam, not Phoebe's. Vander just brought up Phoebe's wedding concerning Darryl.

Let's see. We are talking about weddings whether Phoebe's or Paige's. I do think Sam should have been at Phoebe's simply because he was a part of the magical Halliwell community. Now, one might object to Sam's presence since he wasn't around all that much. However, his few appearances were quite memorable. Second, if Coop could attend Paige's impromptu wedding, why not Sam? Okay, so Sam was Phoebe's mom's lover and whitelighter and Coop was a boyfriend. So what! In point of fact, I don't really care whether Sam attended Phoebe's wedding. I am sad that circumstances precluded both Sam and Paige's foster parents from attending the impromptu ceremony. Besides, Prue should have been at both!

For anyone that has the final episode on video... Does Patty appear at the wedding of Phoebe? I looked during the TNT rerun of the finale but I don't think I saw her.

The scene of Phoebe and Coop's wedding only lasts about 15 seconds at most. The only people who we see in the frame, along with Phoebe and Coop (obviously), are: Piper, Paige, Leo, baby Chris, baby Wyatt, Victor, Henry, and the Angel of Destiny (who is presiding over the ceremony).
However, since it takes place in the Great Hall at Magic School, it's very possible (probable, in fact) that there's a lot more room offscreen, and that would mean there are most likely many more guests there in attendence at the ceremony who are simply standing out-of-frame. I'm sure that Billie, some of the Elders, and members of the Magical Community were invited...maybe even several of the Halliwell matriarchs? It's just that, for the purposes of filming the episode, they didn't hire any extras for that scene, and chose to simply film the scene with those ten established characters.

Kevincox: I feel your pain. I think we all do, to one extent or another. Though many on the site feel the show should have ended anywhere from two to five years earlier, I for one enjoyed all the seasons. When I watch an episode now, I tend to look for the small things, which people, even actors, do without thinking. Or things that are not right or out of place because of what happened earlier. Not nit picking for errors, just looking for something new in each episode I hadn't notice before.
As for disappointments in the finale, I have little to note. Would it have been cool to have SD back in a cameo or even be able to see her picture on the wall? Sure, but it just wasn't going to happen. I do, however, find it interesting that so many shows and movies are "borrowing" the concepts or ideas of different powers the sisters and using them for their own characters.
Other than that the only disapointment I have is with the networks involved, the WB and CW, as they just didn't have the foresight to understand success and popularity of a show beyond it's immediate ratings.

Yeah, I kinda enjoyed Prue, too. I've seen season 1 on DVD because I rented it from Blockbuster Online--I thought it was really cool that she had those telekinetic powers.

The lack of Prue bugged me. >_<
Even if they couldn't get Shannen back, they could have shown little Prue while going back in time or something...plus some photos maybe. When it ended, I felt annoyed that they seemed to have just forgotten that she existed.
And if they'd been able to have Shannen Doherty back, the finale would have been so much cooler. I've always wanted to see all four sisters fighting together, especially Prue and Paige's reactions to each other.

I thought that because Shannen Doherty owns the rights to the character of Prue, they weren't able to show Prue's image in any form?
However, I'm not sure if that provision would have applied to hiring a little girl actress to play a younger version of Prue...?

My solution would have been to put a picture of the dog that tracked the banshee in Look Who's Barking Now. It would have been an inside joke worth one million. Of course, I can only imagine Shannen's response.

That would've enfuriated the Prue/Shannen fans, though I think it would've been incredibly funny. Prue as a literal b*tch.

But, then, I'm a Paige-head. What else would you expect?

Although I wonder if Shannen, based on the rumors of her temperament, might have attempted to sue them for that? After all, technically that dog was still the character of Prue.
On the other hand, it wasn't literally Shannen's facial image. And apparently, there were no legal issues with using the back of Shannen's body on the motorcycle in "Cat House," when the clip from "Just Harried" was shown.
Of course, Shannen might not have even bothered to watch the series finale, so it may have been a moot point.

Yes, but didn't someone post that the motorcycle scene in Cat House was re-shot. That is, it's not Shannen's back. This position is all the more credible given that Dorian Gregory is credited with an appearance when all we can see of Darryl is his shoulder. If a shoulder deserves a credit, why not a back and butt?

hi everybody! sorry i m new here, and i love the finale. i relished all dialogues and each single word and love the plot. personnally i did not miss prue, though love the fact that patty mentionned her twice when she s with the girls. i love paige and always though she s always been shadowed by the late elder sister somehow. after all she s only a half sis.... i think she deserved after 5 years to be a charmed one, and not a replacement. funny thing, though other witchcraft inconsistencies with past episodes, the only thing that bother me? the difference in size between current piper and leo (25-30cm?) and the old one (ard 10 cm...) do ex-whitelighters-elders-avatars shrinks more than human when they get old? i hope i did not offend anybody with the "prue" topic, but this is of all my preferred episode.... best charmes to you all...

For me the biggest disappointment is they didn't mention Prue or showed any pic of hers ...I know its a problem of owning rights but stilll... and then of course the fact that Charmed is really ended...

I loved the way they narrated the end of the final episode, it almost had me in tears-as have many parts of charmed over the years. It can still have that effect on me even after seeing all the episodes numerous times. It fulfilled my need to know what happened to them all in the future, although it would have been better if it hadn't have ended at all...
I do agree that when they were doing the up the stairs shot of all the pictures there should have been a picture of Prue even though I do much prefer Paige, everyone else was there.
