I have always wanted to know how Victor and Patty came to being divorced and how Patty and Sam came to being together.

Patty Halliwell is a character that has always intrigued me. What was her life like growing up? How did her relationships with Victor develop and evolve? How did it end, and how exactly did she move onto Sam? Was Patty really involved with Sam during her marriage to Victor? Or did the relationship only develop after her marriage dissolved? I would love to know more about those things in greater detail than what was provided on the show. All these curiosity that I have makes me wonder if a Charmed prequel book series or movie/TV series featuring Patty would boast well with other fans. I've always been deeply intrigued by these questions as well. I think a Patty prequel book series would be a lovely idea. I'm a huge fan of the past Warrens (one of the reasons I was so excited about The Warren Witches book and was very let down when it turned out to be 98% time traveling, but one of my favorites was the one involving Patty as a teenager/young woman pre-Victor) and I'm an even greater fan of what happened with Victor/Patty/Sam and Patty prior to meeting Victor. As to some of your questions, I think given Paige's and Phoebe's birthdates and various episodic evidence, Patty did in fact begin her relationship with Sam while still with Victor. (She was about a month pregnant in the Christmas video seen in season one, episode three's "Thank You For Not Morphing.") But as to how it got to that point, I would love to know the details. (Like how she found out Sam was her whitelighter, when Victor found out, when Victor suspected there was more going on in the relationship, when Victor and Patty divorced, what happened the day he left the family, etc, etc, etc...) It's too bad nobody in charge of the Charmed books thought of this. I think there are quite a few buyers of the books who would eat up this idea.

Something I would've killed to see or read about is the battle between Patty and Barbas. I wonder what her greatest fear was. However, it did depend when it happened. I bet if she already had her girls her greatest fear would be something happening to them. And I'm sure Grams would've been involved. It would be so awesome to see Grams throw Barbas into a wall or something lol .

He's only supposed to appear once every 1300 years, which means the last time he appeared was in 1698. So how did Patty even know about him? Did he find some loophole like he did in 1999? Did Patty somehow time travel to 1698? Like I said, a book series about Patty's life would be so interesting. There would be so many possibilities and storylines available to someone if they'd pursue it.

It could be a simple case of writer's error.
Also, the year of Barbas' alleged appearance before 1998 would have been 698, not 1698.

Jennifer Rhodes (the lady that plays Grams) has no kids of her own and yet people see her on the street and yell out "Hi, Grams" which always gets her laughing.

It's kinda sad she has no kids of her own though. I'm sure it's probably by choice but whenever I imagine myself as old the first thing I see is grandchildren.

Grams is one of my favorite characters. I love all of the episodes with her in it. Anyways, I think that a great idea would be a spin off mini about a young Penny leading up to a mini about a young Patty. I think that it would make for some awesome storylines. We could see some of Grams relationships and battles and perhaps how she discovered her witch abilities. Then we could see Patty, her relationship with Victor and furthering that with Sam and eventually a scene of them giving up Paige. Perhaps we'll even see the young charmed ones later in the mini series. I think it makes for a great Charmed Prequel <3

That's an awesome thing! Cause she feels like our Grams, sometimes!

I'd also associate her with "Grams", I mean Jennifer Rhodes. With James Read (Victor), it'd be different since I know him from three different roles: George Hazard, Murphy Michaels (Remington Steele) and Kenneth Walter Davis (Wildfire). It'd be complicated in his case. As for Finola Hughes, for me, there's only Charmed.

I wished our show explored more backstory with Grams. I wanted to know more on her life, and even see more flashbacks when she was raising her granddaughters. Even when Patty meet Victor, and see Grams views on it.
This show had such a missed opportunity to explore some really interesting stories.

Jennifer Rhodes was also in the 1989 movie, Heathers, which co-starred Shannen Doherty (who played one of the Heather's in question).
However, I don't think they have any scenes together. I haven't watched Heathers in ages (although I have the DVD). Jennifer played the mother of Veronica Sawyer (played by Winona Ryder).

There's a lot of history that could be explored with Grams. Which is part of the stupid, silliness of Witchstock. It didn't do her justice and it didn't help flesh out Grams. Wasted opportunity.

I love how Grams uses her TK, it's so precise.
