You might consider visiting my site where I have organized discussion about Charmed more logically than it appears in this anarchic environment. Visit charmedverse.proboards74.com. As for budgets, the largest budget for Charmed was Season 6. Unfortunately, the ratings did not warrant the increased budget and budget cuts were ordered for Seasons 7 and 8. Apparently, too, the WB pressed Spelling Productions for "promotable hunks" for these last two seasons. Hence we got Nick Lachey and Jason Lewis for six episodes each. In addition, the WB demanded the introduction of "new" characters for Season 8. Thus, we got Billie. Charmed magazine is a good source for information regarding seasons 7 and 8. As for the exits of Julian McMahon and Shannen Doherty, as well as Ted King, these have been discussed in other threads (with the exception of Ted King whose apparent preference for soap operas may have played a role).

Like V says, you can get it in a better organized fashion from his site. There is information about the characters at the Charmed entry at www.imdb.com - just search on Charmed and it'll come up as an obvious choice. I would suggest, depending upon the nature of your media studies course, that you do what all papers need to do and that is to narrow the focus of what your topic is so you don't have to read everything there is on Charmed to collect all the data you need. If you need to get to the scripts, for any reason, they can all be found, with (at the end of each) all the character information at www.twiztv.com/scripts/charmed/ Hope this helps.
