Although "Something Wiccan This Way Comes" was not entirely correct in continuity and in the girls' abilities and limits, it was actually quite a good plot and there were some genuinely interesting original characters that were introduced throughout it; the concept was great, but if the writer has actually watched Charmed more than once {which I'm assuming is the amount they watched it before they wrote the book} or just heard about it from others, the payoff would've been amazing.
Too bad, really. Still, a nice read - if you don't mind ignoring the power mistakes.

No, the books are not on TV. I've heard some of the books coincide with the show or something like that but I'm not sure. I have only read a few of the books.

If you guys read Survival of the Fittest you would love it. Here's a summary from the book: Alien abduction fever has gripped San Francisco. People everywhere are reporting loved ones missing... only to have them show up at home with no recollection of having been gone. The Charmed Ones can't help but become involved, especially when Phoebe recieves a letter to her advice column from a woman who's convinced her sister was "taken". The victim says she was just out, but since she's returned, she's developed an almost demonic devotion to a new workout program. The workout program in question, created by Meg Winship, has become incredibly popular in the Bay area. Even Piper, after seeing an infomercial, suddenly finds herself jogging to the "Winship Way". Luckily there's a rally being held in San Francisco in the next few days. Meg Winship herself will appear to further inspire and thank her new disciples. If there's something supernatural involved, as the sisters suspect, the fitness fiesta is their best bet to figure out who or what is in charge of the chaos.

I just read The Power of Three the first charmed book, loved it. It did go a little along the lines of the first show with a few differences, I only have four and have three. Charmed Rules.

I enjoy the books also. However, they are getting harder to find in the bookstores so I'll probably have to start ordering them on=line. I haven't read them all and this thread is great for hearing about books I haven't read and then deciding whether or not I want to order them. I'm a big Piper/Leo fan and I prefer the books with both of them.

Yeah, Barnes and Noble will order the book for you (as long as it is still in print) and call you when they receive it. I have gotten books this way. It is really a great way to get the books you want.
I have only read the first three books ( the ones with Prue) but I really enjoyed them. I think that the idea of the books is to see the sisters from different points of views, not just the Charmed official writers.

I usually order mine from www.bn.com or www.bamm.com (Books a Million) For the most part if you order $25, you get free shipping. It's worth ordering a couple more to get the free shipping. or, if you need a gift, that works too.

You can find the books on ebay too. Some sellers auction them in groups of five, ten, 15 or more. You can also find them new and used on amazon.com, which is like buying from barnes and noble. I've bought about 35 of the books, almost all the ones which are out. Only two mimic the actual episodes, The Power of Three, and Charmed Again. The rest are all new stories. There are the novels and there are also some other books about the Warren Witches. Then there are the books about the show and characters. There are two, and they are not novels but have information about all the various demons, elders, avatars, etc who have been characters on the show. Then there are the book of shadows books, which are mostly just the spells from the show. So, know what you're buying.
