The Charmed Sons Pilot - It's A Fine Line

After seeing the finale of Charmed, it has inspired me to write another pilot for The Charmed Sons. I've had this idea for a while and finally put pen to paper.



I thought that the show needed a very powerful "big bad" - one that would challenge the almighty powerful Wyatt. I think the actor who played the character I have chosen to fill that role of the "big bad" would do an excellent job. I also wanted Wyatt's dark side to come out a little bit.



Even though I do not want a third child to exist, I have included Melinda in the story. I did this because of that scene in the Charmed finale where Piper is sending off 3 children to school. I've included her so that I can write her out of the show. Her character could also very easily be taken out and replaced by a friend or an innocent if necessary.



Anyway...enough from me...I hope whoever chooses to read this script enjoys it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

THE CHARMED SONS PILOT – IT’S A FINE LINE


TEASER


INT PARKING GARAGE – NIGHT

A young girl, Mel, (18 years) walks towards her car with another young girl, Peggy, (also 18 years) and her boyfriend, Ben, (a little older than the girls). There are only 3 cars left on her level.

They reach her car

MEL

Thanks for walking me to my car, guys.

BEN

No problem…and besides your Dad would have killed me if I didn’t.

PEGGY

Her Dad? No…he wouldn’t hurt a fly…but her Mum? I believe she could kill you.

MEL

(A little embarrassed) Over protective parents…what can I say?

PEGGY

At least yours care about you. My Mother doesn’t even ask if I’m coming home anymore, let-alone what time.

BEN

(Playfully) Well at least you can sleep over when you want.

PEGGY

(Grinning) Yes…there is that. (She kisses him) I didn’t say that having uncaring neglectful parents doesn’t have its advantages.

MEL

(Awkwardly) Well…thanks again.


BEN

Do you want us to wait until you leave?

MEL

(Even more embarrassed) No…I’m fine now. You’ve been great, thanks. You guys go and… (she pauses for the right words) …have fun.

PEGGY

Okay then. (She gives BEN a cheeky smile)

BEN

You heard the girl, we should go and have some fun. (They both laugh and walk off)


Mel watches them walk off and shakes her head.


MEL

(To herself) How embarrassing!


Mel looks in her handbag for her keys. She looks up to check on her friends who are nearly at the stairs. She checks back in her bag, and then suddenly remembers she put her keys in her pocket. She reaches into her pocket and pulls them out, relieved. She unlocks the car door.


PEGGY

(Calls out before entering the stairwell) Bye Mel…see you Monday.

MEL

Bye Peggy. Bye Ben.


Ben lifts up has hand to wave, not bothering to turn around as they both enter the stairwell…the door slamming shut behind them.

At the same time Mel closes the car door, locking it immediately. She puts the key in the ignition and turns it. Nothing happens. We see Mel’s annoyed face as she tries again. Still nothing. She presses a button on the dashboard of the car, and reads as a computer screen flashes up saying the following:

CLOSE-UP COMPUTER SCREEN: Emergency Assistance acknowledged. Assistance will arrive to the 5th level of the United Cinemas Complex Car Park in…2 hours and 43 minutes.

Mel sighs in frustration. Quickly she reaches into her bag and pulls out a can and holds onto it whilst wondering what to do. She looks around the deserted carpark, and then looks down at the can she is holding, and then sighs again, realising she has no other choice. She picks up her cell phone and presses a button. A few seconds later her Father’s face appears on the small screen.


LEO

Hi honey, is everything okay?

MEL

I’m fine, it’s just my car won’t start.

LEO

Why don’t you just call for Chris or Wyatt?

MEL

Dad, they’re both out tonight. I don’t want to have to call on them all the time for every little thing.

LEO

They don’t mind, Melinda.

MEL

I’ve called the car service, but there’s nearly a three hour wait.

LEO

Look, I’m only fifteen minutes away, I’ll head over there now. Make sure you keep the car doors locked…

MEL

Yes Dad.

LEO

…and you call Wyatt or Chris at the first sign of trouble.


MEL

Yes Dad.

LEO

See you soon.



Mel puts the phone down and looks around at the deserted carpark once again. Her vision wanders to her rear view mirror.

CLOSE-UP REAR VIEW MIRROR: We see someone or something sitting in the back seat.

Back to Mel who is startled at what she sees, and attempts to scream, but only muffled sounds are heard when a hand is put over her mouth, and she is pulled back by her attacker.

CLOSE-UP OF KRASS (Obviously a demon) TALKING QUIETLY INTO MEL’S EAR.


CRASS

Nice to finally meet you, Melinda. I’ve heard so much about you.


OFF MELINDA’S horrified look.

ACT ONE


INT NIGHTCLUB – NIGHT

Chris is standing with a beer in his hand talking to a group of friends. He’s laughing and having a good time. Suddenly he is approached by a young man, with long scruffy hair, who is about the same age.


JAMIE

(Urgently) Chris, I need to talk to you…

CHRIS

(shouting over the music) Jamie? What’s wrong? Can it wait?

JAMIE

No, Chris. Something bad is about to happen, I need your help,

CHRIS

(shouting) What? I can’t hear you.

JAMIE
(shouting) Can you come outside…I need to talk to you.


Chris looks at him, slightly annoyed, but decides to check it out.


CHRIS

(shouting) Okay…I’ll be outside in a minute.


Jamie exits through the side door to the alley.

Chris turns to his friends.


CHRIS

I’ll be back in a minute.


He puts his beer down and exits through the same door.

EXT DARK DESERTED ALLEY – NIGHT

We see Chris come through the door, and start to look around for his friend. Before he has a chance to take two steps, Jamie hits Chris from behind with a big plank of wood.

Chris falls to the ground and then lies there dazed, but not unconscious.


JAMIE

Sorry Chris, but I warned you there was a bad thing about to happen.


Chris turns to look up just as Jamie lifts the wood, ready to hit him again. Quickly, he rolls out the way, just in time, and then puts his hands up to freeze Jamie before he is able to try to hit him for a third time. Chris then looks around for a place to orb him, and then spies a nearby dumpster.


CHRIS

(Still lying on the ground) Into the Dumpster. (To himself) What was that all about?


He puts his hand up to his head and feels blood seeping from a deep wound. He struggles to get up, obviously very dizzy and holding his head in pain.

After finally managing to get to his feet, Chris’ attention is suddenly drawn in front of him when he hears something, and dives to the ground again as a fireball is thrown in his direction. It just clips his arm.


CHRIS

Oww! Son of a…


Chris doesn’t have time to recover as more fireballs are sent in his direction. He puts his hands up, whilst still lying on the ground, and telekinetically deflects most of the fireballs back into the demons that sent them, vanquishing them immediately. The few that get past, he manages to avoid, allowing them to explode against the wall behind him. Desperately he scrambles behind the nearby dumpster.


CHRIS

(Out loud) What the hell is going on?


CLOSE-UP ON CHRIS as he closes his eyes and takes deep breaths. (We still hear fireballs hitting the dumpster behind him)

We then see him inspect his arm, flinching as he does so, and then hold his head as if in pain, and dizzy.



CHRIS

(Obviously dizzy and struggling to stay conscious) Woah…gotta focus…can’t orb if I’m unconscious.


Suddenly we see Chris react to:

A JINGLING SOUND


CHRIS

(More alert and concerned.) Mel!


He looks around at the approaching demons, and quickly moves back as a fireball barely misses his head. We see him closing his eyes, as if wondering what to do.


CUT TO:


INT DANIELLE’S APARTMENT – NIGHT

Wyatt and his girlfriend Danielle (tall, short dark hair, very good looking, 24 years) are enjoying a quiet romantic dinner. Wyatt is finishing the last of his dessert as Danielle looks on.


DANIELLE

You looked like you enjoyed that.

WYATT

(Smiling) It was delicious.

DANIELLE

I’m glad. Do you want to move to the couch? I’m sure you’ll be wanting to lie down soon.

WYATT

What do you mean? The evening’s just getting started…unless you’re planning to lie down with me.



DANIELLE

(Standing and clearing the dishes off the table) And why would I want to do that?

WYATT

(Getting up) You want me to show you?


As Wyatt stands up he has to grab hold of the table to steady himself. He suddenly looks very pale. Wyatt looks at Danielle, who is showing no concern whatsoever.


WYATT

(Grabbing his throat) Danielle, what did you do?

DANIELLE

Don’t worry, Wyatt, it will all be over soon. The poison works very quickly, I’m told.


Wyatt cannot believe what he is hearing.


WYATT

You poisoned me! Why?


Before Danielle can answer we see Wyatt react to:


A JINGLING SOUND

WYATT

Mel!

DANIELLE

(Answering Wyatt’s question) Because it was the right thing to do.

WYATT

Sorry, honey, love to stay and talk about this, but I’ve got to go.


DANIELLE

(Grabbing a gun from her pocket) Sorry, I can’t let you do that.

WYATT

(Incredulous) (Putting his hands up) What? Poisoning me isn’t enough…now you’re going to shoot me as well?

DANIELLE

(Shrugs emotionless) Sorry.


We hear a gun shot as Danielle pulls the trigger.

CUT TO:


INT PARKING GARAGE – NIGHT


Mel reacts quickly to the attack by spraying a can of mace she is holding behind her. Crass is stunned for a few seconds, allowing Mel to quickly grab her bag and open the door and run away. As she runs she is desperately rummaging through her bag looking for something.

Her attacker wipes his eyes, and sighs.

CRASS

(Shouting) Where are you going to run to?


Crass shimmers out, and then back in again in front of Mel.

Seeing the demon appear in front of her, she turns to run back the other way, only to face more demons behind her. She looks around and sees that she is surrounded.

MEL

(Shouting) Wyatt! Chris! Help!


Finally Mel finds what she is looking for in her bag, and then randomly throws the vials in her hand towards the demons surrounding her. Many are vanquished. Others produce fireballs, ready to fight back. Two fireballs are flung toward her. She dives to the ground only just avoiding them.


CRASS

(Shouting) Don’t hurt her. Remember, she’s no good to us dead.


Mel, looks up at Crass.


MEL

What do you mean? What do you want from me?

CRASS

You’ll find out soon enough.


The demon holds out his hand toward Mel, and she finds herself being dragged along the ground toward him.

She throws her one remaining vial towards Crass as he is pulling her closer.

He simply telekinetically directs it away, where it smashes harmlessly on the ground.

We see Mel desperately try to grab hold of the ground around her, trying to stop herself from being pulled toward the demon.


CRASS

There is no use struggling my dear, no one is coming to help you.


Just then Chris orbs in.


MEL

(Relieved) Except him.


Chris materialises and immediately loses his balance, and falls to the ground.

CLOSE UP ON MEL’S concerned look as she sees Chris collapse.


MEL

Chris!


Luckily for Chris, him falling causes him to avoid energy balls sent in his direction by the other demons. They sail harmlessly past him and into the demons opposite, vanquishing them.

Crass, who has been momentarily distracted by Chris’ arrival, rolls his eyes in disbelief at seeing his demons vanquish each other.


CHRIS

(Still lying on the ground) It’s okay…I’m fine. (Quietly, and trying to steady himself) I think.


We see him attempt to focus and then motion his arm in the direction of Crass, telekinetically sending him flying across the carpark.

Mel, now free from the demon’s hold, notices that Chris is injured and runs to him.


MEL

Chris! You’re not fine…you’re hurt.

CHRIS

(Trying to get up, but obviously very woozy) You’re right, I’m not fine, so let’s just get out of here.


Before Chris can orb Mel to safety, he is hit in the back by an arrow.

Chris winces in pain, and then collapses back to the ground.


MEL

(Looks at Chris in horror) Chris!

CHRIS

(Looking up at Melinda, struggling to stay conscious) I’m sorry.

CRASS

(Now recovered and walking back towards Chris and Melinda) Darklighter arrow. In case you were wondering.


MEL

No…Chris…no. (She looks up at Crass defiantly, and then above her as she calls out) Wyatt…where are you?

CRASS

He’s not coming, I’m afraid.


Just then Wyatt orbs in.


MEL

Wrong again!


Wyatt, just like Chris did, immediately falls to the ground, but only to his knees. He steadies himself, taking deep breaths.

Crass sighs in annoyance as he cannot believe that both Chris and Wyatt have appeared.


CRASS

Oh…for hell’s sake! (shouting to no one in particular) They were both supposed to be taken care of!


The other demons, not wanting to make the same mistake as last time, hesitate before attacking Wyatt, but that proves to be a fatal mistake as Wyatt lifts up one hand and sends an energy pulse in their direction vanquishing them all, including the darklighter, and an arrow that was being sent in his direction. This action, however, drains him and he collapses to the ground.


MEL

(Seeing Wyatt collapse) Wyatt!

CRASS

Your brothers can’t help you now, Melinda. It’s time to come with me.

CHRIS

(Shouting weakly) You up for some baseball, Wyatt?


WYATT

(Weak, but firm) Absolutely.


The Demon, not wanting to waste anymore time finding out what Chris was meaning, puts his hand out using his powers to pull Melinda towards him again.

Chris gathers every ounce of strength left, and telekinetically sends the demon through the air towards Wyatt.

Wyatt, also gathers all his remaining strength, and puts his hands up releasing an energy pulse, which hits the approaching demon, vanquishing him immediately.


WYATT

Home run little brother!

MEL

(Looking down at Chris) Chris, you did it.


She notices that he’s unconscious.


MEL

(Calling out) Wyatt, Chris is unconscious.


She gets up and runs over to him.


MEL

He’s badly injured and he’s been hit by a darklighter arrow. You need to heal him.


Wyatt looks up at Melinda.


WYATT

I’m too weak.


MEL

What happened to you?

WYATT

Tell Mum and Dad that I’ve been poisoned. I’ve used my powers to slow it down, but I don’t have the strength anymore.

MEL

Poisoned! Who would poison you?

WYATT

Danielle.


Wyatt falls back unconscious.


MEL

Danielle? But that doesn’t make any sense. Wyatt? Wyatt?


Melinda turns as she hears a car approaching. She is very relieved to see Leo get out of the car and run towards her.

Melinda runs to hug him.

Leo looks around at the scene before him.


LEO

Oh My God, what happened? Are you okay?

MEL

I’m fine, but Wyatt’s been poisoned and Chris is badly injured and has a darklighter arrow in him.


Leo runs to Wyatt, and checks him over.


LEO

He’s barely breathing.


He then moves over to Chris, and checks him over.


LEO

He’s in very bad shape.


He takes out his cell phone and presses a button. A few seconds later Piper’s face appears on the screen.


PIPER

Hi…did you find Melinda okay?

LEO

Piper, Melinda and the boys were attacked.

PIPER

What? Are they okay?

LEO

Melinda’s fine, but the boys are badly injured. Wyatt told Melinda that he’s been poisoned.

PIPER

Poisoned?

LEO

Piper, they don’t have much time. You need to find a poison cleansing spell, or potion, I’m sure there’s one in that large green book from Magic School…the one with the purple binding. No, wait, summon us back to the Manor, I’ll be able to find it more quickly. We need to cure Wyatt so that he can heal Chris.

PIPER

What’s happened to Chris?

LEO

He’s badly injured, he’s got a very bad head wound and he’s been hit by a darklighter arrow.


PIPER

I’ve got the summoning spell…I’m saying it now.


A couple of seconds later, Wyatt, Chris, Melinda and Leo all disappear.


END OF ACT ONE

ACT TWO


INT MANOR ATTIC - NIGHT


Leo and Mel, with Wyatt and Chris still unconscious, appear in the attic of the manor. Piper gasps at the site of her daughter covered in cuts and bruises, and her two sons lying unconscious on the ground.

Leo heads straight over to a bookshelf full of magic books.


MEL

(Hugging Piper) Mum!

PIPER

Sweetie, you okay?

MEL

I’m okay, but only because Chris and Wyatt saved me.

PIPER

(Looking at Wyatt and Chris) Oh God, Leo…maybe I should call Paige.

LEO

Piper…we don’t have time for you to phone Paige. We don’t even know if she has her cell phone with her.

PIPER

I wish she could just hear me when I called, like she used to be able to.

LEO

(Looking for the right book) You know that’s not possible.
(Pulling a book from the shelf) Found it.


Leo hands Piper a magic book that he has opened to a certain page.


LEO

Here it is. Thankfully it’s only a spell, I don’t think we would have had time to make a potion.


Piper takes the book, walks over to Wyatt and kneels down beside him.

Piper reads the spell to herself, and then looks up at Leo.


PIPER

Are you sure this is the right one?

LEO

I’m sure…I know it’s a little strange, but just read it.

PIPER

Okay. (To herself) Please work. (Then out loud)

Double, double toil and bubble,
Help me fix this man in trouble,
Cleanse the evil as it tries to hide,
Release the poison trapped inside.


Piper, Leo and Mel all watch as Wyatt, although still unconscious, starts to take deep breaths. He arches his back as black smoke rises from his body and swirls around above him, and then disappears. Wyatt drops back down and then opens his eyes.


PIPER

You okay?

WYATT

(Looking around) I think so. What happened?

MEL

You were poisoned.

WYATT

(Suddenly remembering) And you were attacked, and Chris…



PIPER

…is badly injured. Are you strong enough to heal him?

WYATT

Help me up.


Leo and Piper help Wyatt over to Chris. He crouches next to him and starts to heal him, starting with the darklighter arrow and then his head injury and finally his arm.

Chris opens his eyes and looks up to see his very concerned family staring back at him.

CHRIS

Wow…I must have been pretty bad to have you all here.

WYATT

Nahh…they were already here for me, little brother. You weren’t badly injured at all.



CHRIS

(Wyatt helps Chris get up) Really…well I didn’t see a darklighter arrow sticking out of your back. (Putting his hand behind his back, feeling where his wound had been) Those things really pack a punch.

WYATT

I didn’t have a darklighter arrow sticking out of me because I vanquished the son of a…

PIPER

Wyatt!

WYATT

…I vanquished him, his arrow and his demon friends before they could attack me.

CHRIS

Must have been a lucky shot.

MEL

And he did all that after he had been poisoned.

CHRIS

Poisoned? Who’d want to poison you? Besides the people who eat your cooking at Mum’s restaurant, of course.

LEO

That’s enough you two.

PIPER

And annoying as it is, it’s great to see you both back to being yourselves.

MEL

Acting like 8 year olds.

CHRIS

Well, he started it.


Piper shakes her head.



LEO

After Wyatt heals Melinda, we’ll all go downstairs, have something to eat and try to figure out exactly what happened tonight.

INT MANOR KITCHEN – NIGHT

Mel, Chris and Leo all sit at the table, while Piper prepares some food. Wyatt is helping her.


LEO

Okay…so…from what you’ve all told us, this seems like a very well planned attack.


PIPER

But Chris being hit over the head with a plank of wood, and Wyatt being poisoned and shot, does not sound like your run-of-the-mill demon attacks.

WYATT

I wasn’t actually shot.

PIPER

No, thank goodness you were able to orb the gun.

WYATT

Yes, well, that was the easy part. It’s not very hard to orb away a gun. The poison, however, I didn’t see coming.

CHRIS

And that’s because these attacks were carried out by people we knew and trusted. Well I trust Jamie…I’m not so sure about Danielle.

WYATT

What do you mean?

MEL

Well, she is your third girlfriend this month. You don’t know her that well.


PIPER

And I never really liked her.

WYATT

You haven’t even met her.

PIPER

Isn’t she the one with the long dark hair.





LEO

No that was Diana.

PIPER

Oh…

WYATT

Anyway…it doesn’t matter…the point is whoever planned this obviously wanted Chris and me out of the way to get to Mel.

MEL

But why would any demon want me?

CHRIS

Maybe they were trying to kidnap you for leverage?

MEL

What…hold me captive to make one of you do something?

LEO

That does make sense.

PIPER

Scary sense. We came close to losing all of you tonight, and I don’t want that to happen again.

WYATT

Mum, we can take care of ourselves.

PIPER

Can you?

CHRIS

Of course we can. We were just taken off guard tonight. It’s been years since we had a serious demon attack. We’ve hardly been bothered by demons since my 14th birthday when Wyatt showed them who’s boss.


Piper and Leo share a look. Wyatt looks awkwardly to the ground.

CHRIS

What have I said wrong now?

LEO

Nothing, Chris. You haven’t said anything wrong. And you’re right, you’re both very powerful witches. Together you are a force to be reckoned with, and the Underworld are well aware of that.

MEL

That’s why they’ve left us alone for all these years. Of course, I’ve not been able to help in any way except be the damsel in distress all the time. Being mortal sucks.

PIPER

You’re not mortal, Melinda, you are a witch. You just haven’t come into your powers yet.

MEL

Mum, I’m almost 19 years old, if I was going to get any powers I would have them by now. I think it’s time to stop living in denial and accept the fact that you have a mortal daughter.



PIPER

But the powers in the Warren line are strongest in the females…

MEL

Yes, I know, but by the time the almighty twice blessed most powerful witch in the history of forever got his powers…

WYATT

Mel…come on…

MEL

…and Chris got what ever was left over…



CHRIS

Gee, thanks.

MEL

…it’s obvious there was nothing left for me.

CHRIS

I only just got my freezing power.

PIPER

That’s right, there’s plenty of time left for you to get some powers.

MEL

Fat lot of good they’ll do me when I’m 85!

LEO

I think we’re all tired. Why don’t we go to bed and talk about this in the morning.

PIPER

Your Dad’s right. You’ve all been through a lot tonight, and the most important thing for both of us is that you’re all okay, and that you stay that way. We’ll continue this discussion in the morning.


INT – MANOR - LEO & PIPER’S BEDROOM – NIGHT


Piper and Leo are getting ready for bed. They are both taking the smaller pillows off their bed, and pulling down the covers.


LEO

Are you okay?

PIPER

I suppose…it’s just with Chris mentioning his 14th birthday…




LEO

…all the memories of that day came flooding back. They did for me too.


Piper sits on the side of the bed. Leo moves around to her side and sits next to her.


PIPER

We’re lucky Chris doesn’t remember what happened because he was knocked unconscious as soon as we were attacked…but Wyatt remembers. And it still haunts him…I can see it in his eyes.

LEO

I don’t think he’ll ever get over what he saw when he orbed in that day. It was a vicious attack Piper, even for demons. Torturing all of you for hours to make you weak enough to eliminate the Power of Three was bad enough, but to curse your injuries so neither Wyatt nor The Elders could heal you…

PIPER

…well, according to what the other Chris told Dad, I had died that day in his future, so Wyatt not being evil…

LEO

…ended up saving you all.

PIPER

I still remember seeing Wyatt attack them before I passed out. He was so angry. We always knew he was going to be powerful, but I got a glimpse that day of how powerful he really is.

LEO

By the time I arrived it was over. That scene will be embedded in my memory forever. Chris lying unconscious, you, Phoebe and Paige (he pauses, thinking back) your injuries were so bad, I thought you were all dead. And Wyatt curled up on the floor next to you shaking uncontrollably.

PIPER

I’m glad I didn’t see that. Being in a coma for 6 weeks, I missed a lot that you had to deal with.

LEO

Including the decision for your sisters to move away. After The Elders told us that without the Power of Three it was dangerous to be living in the same city, they had no choice. They both had families to consider, just like I did.

PIPER

I know, and you made the right decision. It was just hard to wake up to everything being so different.

LEO

At least you all still had your powers. We weren’t sure if they had been taken as well.

PIPER

I know, and I think it’s actually been good for us to live our own lives for a while. I know it’s what Phoebe wanted. She and Coop and the girls love living in New York.

LEO

And Paige and Henry, and their kids love Chicago. So it has all worked out for the best.

PIPER

Except for times like tonight. What if something like that happens again, and you’re not around to come up with an obscure spell that I had no idea existed.

LEO

You’ll work it out Piper, you always do.

PIPER

Well tomorrow we’ve got to work out what we’re going to do about this attack on Melinda.


Leo gets up and walks around to his side of the bed and climbs in under the covers.




LEO

Thankfully, that’s tomorrow’s problem. For now, how about we get some sleep.


Piper moves back under the covers also and lies down.


PIPER

No argument here. I’m exhausted. (Piper closes her eyes and then opens them again) I hope this was just a one-off attack because she’s right about her powers. She should have had them long before now.

LEO

(Turning towards Piper and putting his arm around her) Maybe because I’m mortal she won’t get any.

PIPER

Henry’s mortal and all three of Paige’s children have powers. No something’s wrong, I can feel it.


We see Piper and Leo lying in bed, Piper closes her eyes to go to sleep, but Leo does not.


OFF LEO’S WORRIED LOOK

INT MANOR LIVING ROOM - MORNING

Piper, Leo, Chris, Wyatt and Mel are discussing what to do about the attack.


CHRIS

Now that we know they’re after Mel, we’ll make sure we protect her.

MEL

Hey wait a minute. You know I love you guys, but there is no way I’m going to have my brothers following me around all day. That would just be…too embarrassing. I really would rather die.

PIPER

Will you stop with the melodrama, Melinda.

LEO

There’s no way we’re leaving you unprotected, and that’s final.

MEL

None of you understand what it’s like to be the only one without powers in this family. I hate having to depend on all of you.

LEO

I don’t have any powers.


MEL

It’s different for you, Dad, you have amazing magical knowledge and experience. At least you know what it’s like to have powers. You used to have them, you know back when you were dead.

LEO

When I was a Whitelighter.

MEL

Same thing.

PIPER

Watch it, missy…

LEO

It’s okay, Piper. Look Melinda, we’re just worried about you, that’s all.

PIPER

(To Leo) Maybe there’s a way around this. Maybe we could send Melinda away to a place where she’d be safe, and they could train her in self-defence.

MEL

Hello? Still in the room. I’m 18 Mum, talk to me about it. What place are you talking about?

LEO

You’re talking about the Valkyries? Aren’t you?

PIPER

Yes…what do you think?

CHRIS

Valkyries? Never heard of them.

PIPER

We came in contact with them years ago…before you were born Chris.

MEL

Who or what are they?

PIPER

They are a group of warrior women who live on a small island in the Indian Ocean, which is hidden from the world. They’re job is to train warriors for the next great battle.

WYATT

How did you come to meet them?


Piper looks at Leo, and they both share a smile.


CHRIS

What?

LEO

It’s a long story.


Chris, Wyatt and Mel all look at Leo waiting to hear the long story. Instead, Piper continues.

PIPER

Which we are not going into right now…let’s just say that someone we knew back then sent your Dad there to sort of get him away from us for a while.

CHRIS

(Sarcastic) Must have been terrible being sent to an island full of Amazon women, Dad.

LEO

It was a little bit more complicated than that, Chris.

CHRIS

I’m sure it was…and I’d love to hear all about it some time.

PIPER

Anyway…when rescuing your Dad, I became friends with them, and have kept up that friendship. I’m sure they would love to have Melinda stay with them for a while…at least until we figure out who’s after her and why.

MEL

An island full of hunky warriors doesn’t sound that bad.

LEO

Don’t get any ideas young lady, they’re all dead.

MEL

Dead?

PIPER

Yeah…didn’t I mention that it’s their souls they are training.

MEL

Ewwww!! What is it with magic and dead people. Why can’t you just let them rest in peace.

PIPER

Well, if your Father had been allowed to rest in peace, I never would have met him, and you guys wouldn’t exist.

WYATT

Yeah…somehow…that’s not really comforting.

LEO

Back to the Valkyries. I think you should at least check it out.

PIPER

Okay then. How about you pack some things, Melinda, and we’ll both go and stay there for a few days.

MELINDA

Well it does sound better than having my brothers follow me around all day…and if you could marry a dead guy, who’s to say I couldn’t…

PIPER

Don’t get any ideas, missy, dead souls of warriors are off limits, okay?

CHRIS

Geez, this family’s weird!

PIPER

And you’re only just noticing now? Chris, can you orb us there because Wyatt and your Dad have to go to the restaurant for the lunchtime sitting.

CHRIS

Sure, no problem. I’ve always wanted to go to an island full of Amazon women.

PIPER

(Walking off) Oh…give me strength.

INT MANOR ATTIC – AFTERNOON


Chris is standing reading the Book of Shadows.

Wyatt enters.


WYATT

What you looking for?

CHRIS

Oh…hi. You finished poisoning the lunchtime crowd already?

WYATT

Very funny. I never hear you complaining when you’re eating the leftovers.


Chris laughs.


WYATT

What was Valhalla like?

CHRIS

Pretty much as Mum described. An island in the Indian Ocean filled with beautiful Amazon women training warrior souls. (he pauses) (sarcastic) You would have hated it.

WYATT

What is with you lately? I do not date that much.


CHRIS

How is Danielle, talking about dating?

WYATT

She’s fine. Doesn’t remember a thing. Not even us having dinner together. She can remember getting a headache, so thinks she took her migraine medicine and next thing she knew it was morning.

CHRIS

Jamie doesn’t remember anything either. He can remember being at the club, and then waking up this morning in the dumpster. He just thought he drank too much and someone played a prank on him.

WYATT

And you’re still looking for that demon we vanquished in the Book…hoping he’ll just appear.

CHRIS

I know we looked last night and couldn’t find him, but I just thought I’d check again. He’s definitely not in here. Not that it matters now anyway because he’s toast.

WYATT

Yes, but I’d still like to know who sent him and why they wanted Melinda.

CHRIS

Do you want to pay Jigsaw a visit?

WYATT

That’s what I was thinking, and he hates it when you call him that.

CHRIS

Well he always helps us piece everything together, and Jigsaw is much easier to say than his real name. Xdoniziatrich?.

WYATT

Isn’t it Xdoniziachatrix?


CHRIS

Actually, I think it’s Xodonozatriach. What’s with demons’ names anyway…why aren’t any just called Fred or Jim?

WYATT

Or Jigsaw?

CHRIS

Exactly!

WYATT

(Shaking his head) I do wonder about you sometimes. I suppose we’ll make our usual entrance.

CHRIS

It works every time. I’ll see you there.


Chris orbs out. Closely followed by Wyatt.


UNDERWORLD LAIR – ETERNAL NIGHT


Chris orbs in. He sees the demon run towards the exit of the cave.

CHRIS

Hey, Jigsaw, where do you think you’re going?

Wyatt orbs in blocking the demon’s exit.

WYATT

Always predictable, Xdon…(Wyatt looks at Chris)…Jigsaw.


Chris smiles at Wyatt’s decision to call him Jigsaw as well.


JIGSAW

I don’t know anything…I can’t help you.


CHRIS

We haven’t even asked you any questions yet.

JIGSAW

It doesn’t matter…I can’t tell you anything. You almost got me killed last time.

WYATT

That’s no way to talk to your friends, Jigsaw. We’ve also saved your demonic hide many times as well.

JIGSAW

If you were really my friends, then you wouldn’t be my friends, because you know that being your friend can get me killed. Which no real friend would want.

CHRIS

You lost me after the first friend, Jigsaw. All we want to know is who attacked us last night, and why.

JIGSAW

I can’t tell you anything. You don’t understand, things have changed down here.

WYATT

What do you mean?

CHRIS

The Underworld’s under new management again, isn’t it.

JIGSAW

It’s not like the last few times. This one’s different. Everyone down here is scared.

WYATT

Who is it? What’s his name?




JIGSAW

That’s just it. Nobody knows. He’s come out of nowhere and he seems to have his own demons. They’re just appearing down here and killing off anyone who won’t pledge their allegiance.

CHRIS

And what side did you choose, Jigsaw?


Chris quickly turns around as he hears Wyatt gasp behind him. He just manages to orb out of the way of a fireball heading in his direction and orbs back in to where Wyatt has now collapsed to the ground. He puts his hand on Wyatt, but before he orbs out he looks up to see the same demon they had vanquished the night before walking towards him.


Off CHRIS’ SURPRISED LOOK AS HE AND WYATT ORB OUT.

ACT FOUR


INT MANOR LIVING ROOM – EVENING

Leo and Wyatt are sitting down, Chris is pacing.


CHRIS

I’m telling you, it was the same demon we vanquished last night.

LEO

Maybe he just looked the same.

WYATT

Or he could have reformed. We’ve come across demons before that can reform after being vanquished.

LEO

True.

CHRIS

After what Jigsaw told us, I think there’s something big happening in the Underworld.

LEO

The Underworld is still in disarray the last time we checked. For the last twenty years it’s followed the same pattern…a new demon tries to take over and ends up being vanquished by another one who also wants to take over. It’s certainly made our job a lot easier as they’ve mostly been killing each other.

WYATT

Well Jigsaw seemed genuinely scared.

CHRIS

And I don’t believe he would have given us up unless he absolutely had to.




LEO

I know you have known him for a few years now, but remember he is still a demon. You were both lucky to get out of there alive.

WYATT

Thanks to Chris orbing me out and healing me.

LEO

You’re both very powerful witches, but you’ve got to be more careful. That’s two attacks in as many days now and both times you’ve been lucky to survive. Whatever is happening in the Underworld, you’ll have to make sure you watch each other’s backs from now on, especially if you go back down there again.

WYATT

Well, there is someone else we can check with.

LEO

Who?

Wyatt gives Chris a knowing look, and Chris shakes his head as he realises who Wyatt is talking about.

CHRIS

No…you know I hate going to see her.

LEO

Who are you talking about?

WYATT

Leah.

LEO

The Seer?

CHRIS

No. No. No. I won’t do it. It does my head in when we talk to her.



WYATT

Come on, Chris, it’s not that hard to talk in rhyme.

CHRIS

That’s easy for you to say when I’m the one who has to do all the talking.

WYATT

(To Leo) She has a thing for Chris. Ever since he saved her life she will only talk to him.

LEO

Yes, Leah the rhyming Seer, I remember her. That’s the price you pay for being a hero, I suppose. I really think you need to talk to her and see if she knows anything. For the greater good, of course.

WYATT

Of course.


CHRIS

I can see you’re both enjoying this. Okay…fine…let’s just get this over with.


Chris orbs out.


LEO

(To Wyatt) Remember, be careful!

WYATT

You know us…we’re always careful, Dad. I’ll give him a few minutes to think up an opening line, then I’ll follow him.


CUT TO:


UNDERWORLD LAIR – ETERNAL NIGHT

Chris orbs in. He looks around for Leah, but cannot see her anywhere.

He sighs to himself and then takes a few seconds to think of what to say.


CHRIS

Leah, Leah, I need to talk to you…(he pauses, thinking)…my dear. (To himself) Good one, Chris! That has got to be the lamest rhyme ever!

Suddenly Leah comes running through the entrance to her lair.

LEAH

Chris, this is a trap I fear, quickly get out of here.

Leah is immediately followed by the same demon that Chris and Wyatt had vanquished the night before, and that Chris had only just seen with Jigsaw.

CHRIS

You again!


We then see the same demons shimmer in behind Chris and throw a potion to the floor. Chris turns and sees the same demons again before he falls unconscious to the ground. One demon puts his hand on Chris and shimmers out. The others follow soon after.

Wyatt orbs in a few seconds later. He looks around, but doesn’t see Chris. He then looks at Leah.


LEAH

If you have come here looking for Chris, then I’m sorry to have to tell you this, 3 demons came here and took your brother, then they left one after the other.

Wyatt looks worried. He closes his eyes trying to sense where Chris is.

WYATT

Damn! I can’t sense him down here.


Then he turns to Leah.



WYATT

Leah, you have to help me, (he pauses thinking about what to say) Please use your powers to see, Find Chris and then show me, I need to rescue him as quick as can be. (He shakes his head) Geez that was terrible!


Leah holds out her hands, Wyatt holds on to them. She then closes her eyes and concentrates.

CUT TO:


UNDERWORLD – ETERNAL NIGHT


Chris wakes up to find himself lying back against a large flat boulder. His wrists are tied to metal hooks attached to the boulder.


CHRIS

(Looking around and realising his situation) Oh-oh…this is not good.


He tries to orb, but finds he can’t.


ODIN

(Coming from behind Chris) Sorry, Chris, you can’t orb. The crystals you see surrounding you have taken care of that.


Chris looks on the ground and sees the crystals.

He tries to turn around to see who is talking, but cannot. Instead he sees the three demons that were at Leah’s cave walking toward him.


CHRIS

How many of you guys are there?

ODIN

I used to have four, now I have three.

CHRIS

What do you have, a production line of demons or something?


Odin walks out from behind the boulder to in front of Chris.


ODIN

Actually…I have. It’s wonderful what a little knowledge about the creation of life will give you. Meet Crass2, Crass3, and Crass4.

CHRIS

Odin!

ODIN

Surprise!

CHRIS

I thought the Elders destroyed your soul.

ODIN

They tried, but obviously it didn’t work.


Odin pauses looking at Chris’ surprised reaction.


ODIN

Surely you’re not surprised. We both know they’re a pathetic bunch of old cronies who have nothing better to do than sit around all day and put judgements on people. They really are completely useless!

CHRIS

And yet…you were one of them.

ODIN

Yes I was, but not anymore. Thanks to them I am now free to change things the way they should be, starting with giving you a few memories.


CHRIS

What are you talking about?

ODIN

Every day you go out with your brother and fight evil. I think it’s about time you were shown what he’s really capable of. This is something you should have been told about a long time ago.


Odin waves his hand, and Chris immediately is pushed back against the boulder. He closes his eyes and moves his head from side to side, as if dreaming. He is frowning, showing that what he is seeing is very painful.

We keep seeing Chris’ head moving from side to side as he is seeing the life of the other Chris. Blood starts coming from his nose, and eyes and mouth, as the memories of another lifetime are forced into his brain.

Our Chris gasps as he remembers being stabbed by Gideon, and finally, we see Chris taking his last dying breaths in Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World, at the same time we see our Chris struggling to breath. We see Chris’ head fall to the side as he takes his last breath in the flashback, and then back to our Chris who does the same thing.

Cut to Odin, who moves around in front of Chris, watching with anticipation as Chris suddenly stops breathing.


ODIN

Oh come on! They were only memories…they can’t kill you.


Odin waits a few more anxious seconds, as Chris continues to lie completely still…not breathing.


ODIN

I have to admit…although it is very tempting to leave you this way…you’re no good to me dead. Yet.


Odin waves his hand.

Chris suddenly opens his eyes and takes a deep gasping breath, and then coughs and breathes deeply trying desperately to fill his empty lungs

He looks around trying to take in what he has just seen, and remember where he is.


CHRIS

(Looking up at Odin, who is now standing directly in front of him) What did you do to me? I don’t understand there’s so much going on in my head. So many images.

ODIN

You’ll understand in time, Chris. You needed to know what your brother could become. And even your sister, had the Elders not bound her powers at birth. Where is she, by the way? Where have you hidden her?

CHRIS

I don’t know what you’re talking about. God, my head feels like it’s going to explode.


Wyatt orbs in.

Both Odin and Chris turn to look at Wyatt.


CHRIS

Wyatt, vanquish him, now!

Wyatt doesn’t even attempt to attack Odin, but instead just stands there, shocked.

WYATT

You! You were there that day when Mum and her sisters were attacked. I remember now.

CHRIS

Wyatt, what’s wrong with you…blast him, now.


Chris looks at Wyatt…we see what he sees…which is good Wyatt who changes into evil Wyatt from Chris Crossed, and then back to good Wyatt again.

Chris closes his eyes again, taking deep breaths trying to work out what’s going on.

Wyatt has problems of his own as he is struggling with the flashback he is experiencing of the day his Mum and aunts were attacked. The day he completely lost control and released power he didn’t even know he was capable of.


ODIN

You remember Wyatt, don’t you? You remember what it was like to feel that powerful. So powerful that nothing could stand in your way.


Wyatt looks up at Odin, and for a few seconds we think that he is getting through to him. Then he suddenly snaps back to reality when he sees Chris, blood dripping from his eyes and nose and mouth, barely conscious behind Odin.

Without a word Wyatt puts his hands out and sends an electronic pulse in the direction of a surprised Odin.

Odin and his three demons are sent flying backwards, the demons are vanquished immediately. Odin rolls over and over on the ground, but he is not vanquished. Actually he is barely hurt. Wyatt is surprised. Chris is also surprised.


ODIN

(Getting up off the ground and dusting himself off) See, Wyatt, you’re not as powerful as you could be.

CHRIS

Well he managed to vanquish your Crass demons, fitting name by the way, so whatever you’re trying to prove, it’s not working.

ODIN

There’s a lot more demons where they came from.

Wyatt puts his hands up and sends off another electronic pulse in the direction of Odin. But this time Odin is prepared and doesn’t even get knocked off his feet.

Wyatt and Chris are even more shocked.

ODIN

That only tickled me that time, Wyatt. You know you can do better than that.

Odin sends off an electronic pulse of his own…similar to the Elders power, but only black and red lightning bolts. They hit Wyatt and he goes flying backwards.


CHRIS

Wyatt!

Chris watches with anticipation until Wyatt slowly starts to get up.

CHRIS

(To Odin) It doesn’t matter what you do to us because the Elders will find you, and destroy you for good this time.

ODIN

Now, that’s where you don’t understand how everything works, Chris. The scales have been tipped on the side of good for too long. It’s evil’s time to shine now, and that’s where all the power will be. I have a patient soul, I have all eternity to wait if necessary, but somehow, I don’t think it will take that long. I’ve done what I came here to do, but don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll be seeing you boys again, real soon.

Odin disappears in a mixture of black and red orbs.

With the immediate threat gone, Chris collapses, barely conscious, only being held up by the rope that ties his wrists.

WYATT

(Seeing Chris collapse) Chris!

Wyatt kicks the crystals away that surround Chris and moves over to him.

WYATT

(Looking at the blood still dripping down Chris’ face from his eyes, mouth and nose) Good God, what did he do to you?

CHRIS

(Looking up at Wyatt and noticing the burn marks on his chest.) You don’t look so good yourself.

Wyatt looks down at his burns and then looks back at Chris who is still staring at him. We see flashbacks of evil Wyatt, which are obviously flashing through his brain.

WYATT

(Wondering why Chris is staring at him) What is it?


CHRIS

(Snapping back to reality) (Weakly) It’s nothing…can we just go home now, please?


Wyatt gives Chris a suspicious look as he puts his hand on his shoulder.


WYATT

Sure we can. Allow me…

They both orb out.

ACT FIVE


INT MANOR CHRIS AND WYATT’S ROOM – NIGHT


Wyatt is sitting up in bed when Leo knocks on the door.

WYATT

I’m just about to go to bed. Do you know where Chris is?

LEO

I think he’s in the attic. Are you okay?

WYATT

Honestly…I don’t know. Seeing Odin again, has brought back a lot memories I’d been trying very hard to forget. (He pauses) I’m sure I’ll be fine, though, it just takes time to get over these things.

LEO

Yes, it does, but don’t be afraid to talk about anything that’s bothering you. You know that you can come to me about anything, don’t you?

WYATT

I do, thanks Dad. But I really think you should be talking to Chris.

LEO

Why? I thought you said he was fine.

WYATT

That’s just it…I tried to heal him, but there was nothing to heal. He wasn’t injured.

LEO

So what caused all that blood?

WYATT

I don’t know. When I asked him he just made a joke. You know what Chris is like…he tries to make light of everything. But I could tell…he’s different somehow.

LEO

I’ll go talk to him. You try and get some sleep.

WYATT

I’ll try. Good night, Dad.

WYATT

Good night, son.


Leo turns to walk toward the attic stairs.


CUT TO:


INT MANOR ATTIC – NIGHT

Chris is sitting on a couch in the dark. His knees are up with his arms folded over them and his head is resting on his arms.

Leo enters.


LEO

Chris, can I come in.

CHRIS

Dad, I’ve got a really bad headache…

LEO

I won’t be long. I just want to make sure you’re all right. You’ve barely spoken since Wyatt brought you back. Is there anything you want to talk about?

CHRIS

Is Wyatt okay?

LEO

He’s trying to sleep. Seeing Odin again, and remembering that he was involved somehow in that attack on your Mum and her sisters has really shaken him up. I know it’s shocked me.

CHRIS

Odin must have wanted the Power of Three out the way…or maybe he’s taken their powers. Either way, I can’t believe an Elder would do what he’s done.

LEO

I never liked him. He was always very outspoken and would regularly break the rules. When he tried to influence my decision about staying on Earth with your Mum, I knew the other Elders weren’t happy. Everything had to always be done his way. He became very dangerous, that’s why the other Elders decided to destroy his soul. They were even too afraid to recycle it.

CHRIS

Well, it obviously didn’t work.

LEO

No. It was the first time they had done it, but Odin was very powerful, he must have found a way around it.

CHRIS

So, what happens to an Elder who turns evil? What do they become?

LEO

No Elder has ever turned evil before, but it is believed that he would become Satan.

CHRIS

Satan? Like the Source of all Evil?

LEO

No…The Source was pure evil, but he wasn’t Satan. He started out as a demon, and ended up being vanquished as a demon. Satan starts out good, as an angel…

CHRIS

…or an Elder…

LEO

…yes, and he chooses to turn his back on everything good, everything that he has been taught to be right. Basically he chooses to be evil of his own free will. And that’s what he tries to get others to do…choose to be evil. He manipulates, and distorts the truth and tricks people to achieve that. He feeds off good people turning evil.

CHRIS

So, how do you vanquish Satan? Is it even possible?

LEO

(Pauses) I don’t know. I have no idea whether he can be vanquished.

CHRIS

What about Gideon…you managed to kill him and he was an evil Elder?


Leo is taken back by Chris’ comment.


LEO

How do you know about Gideon?

CHRIS

Is it the same thing?

LEO

No…as bad as Gideon was…he still believed what he was doing was for the greater good. He wasn’t evil.

CHRIS

He just became so obsessed with stopping Wyatt from turning evil in the future, that in his mind he was able to justify killing me…all for the greater good.


Leo is absolutely gob-smacked by Chris’ comment.


CHRIS

Am I right, Dad?

LEO

Chris, what happened to you down there? What did Odin do to you?

CHRIS

He gave me my memory back. Well the other me. The one who came back from the future to save Wyatt from turning evil. The one who sent you to Valhalla.

LEO

Oh, God Chris, he had no right…I can’t believe…I don’t know what…

CHRIS

I’m going to need some time to sort through all of this. Everything is still jumbled in my head…I remember hating you and I remember Mum dying on my 14th birthday. I remember me dying in your arms and Wyatt trying to kill me. You didn’t know, but when Bianca took me to the future Wyatt was waiting. He would have killed me if it wasn’t for her.

LEO

(Shocked) I had no idea.

CHRIS

It’s weird because he never hated him. Or I should say, I never hated Wyatt. In spite of everything he did, I always thought it was beyond his control and there was something that happened to make him like that. That’s why I did everything I could to save him.

LEO

You, I mean he, the other Chris, gave up his life to save Wyatt.

CHRIS

With the memories he’s given me, I know how powerful Wyatt is when he’s evil…and believe me when I tell you that he is a lot more powerful than he is now. Maybe Odin was hoping that by making me remember how Wyatt was when he was evil, I would hate him and turn against him. I don’t think it occurred to him that I wouldn’t feel that way.




LEO

One thing is for sure, Odin will have an elaborate plan, and it obviously involves you, Wyatt and Melinda. You are going to have to be extra careful from now on…especially with Wyatt.

CHRIS

Why especially with Wyatt?

LEO

Wyatt was born in the Manor, so he’s vulnerable to evil. Odin knows that, and he also knows that Wyatt has already turned evil in a different timeline. If Wyatt were to turn evil again…he would be a powerful ally. Whatever his plan is, we are going to have one big battle on our hands. Bigger than anything we have ever faced before.

CHRIS

That is exactly why I don’t want you to tell anyone that I know about the other timeline.

LEO

Chris, I don’t think that’s a good idea. You need to talk about this.

CHRIS

Then I’ll talk to you. Dad, if Wyatt ever found out what he is really capable of, or that he was evil in another timeline, that could push him over the edge. And Mum? She has enough to worry about with Mel. She needs to stay in Valhalla as long as possible as Odin couldn’t detect Mel there, so she must be safe. And Mel is a part of this somehow as well.

LEO

What do you mean…how?

CHRIS

Odin said that the Elders bound her powers at birth because she was a danger to the future as well.

LEO

What? They wouldn’t do that without telling us.


CHRIS

Are you sure? They can be pretty arrogant…and judgemental. Just think about it for a second. Mel didn’t exist in the other timeline. What if the Elders knew that because the future had been changed, she was also a threat to the future? She was born here in the manor, just like Wyatt was. Maybe Odin was trying to take her the other night so as to give back her powers. We both know that if the first time she used her powers as a witch was for evil, then she would stay evil.


Leo looks at Chris for a long few seconds, contemplating everything that has been said.


CHRIS

You know everything I’m saying makes sense. That’s why you can’t tell anyone yet…we have to be sure.

LEO

Okay…I won’t tell anyone…for now. But you have to promise me that you will keep talking to me. I don’t want you to keep anything bottled up inside…like the other Chris. I’m always here for you.

CHRIS

Dad, don’t worry…we’re still cool. I may have the other Chris’ memories, but I’m not him. I don’t feel the same way about you as he did.

LEO

(Looking relieved) You sure?

CHRIS

Chris orbs in. He looks around and then moves to one side and sits down. Quietly he looks out at the lights and then closes his eyes as the wind blows in his face. He moves his hand up to wipe tears falling down his cheeks.

The camera moves back as Chris becomes smaller and smaller.

OMG! Awesome episode. The middle had funny parts! I was cracking up. The end became more serious, more Dramatic. Chris seeing Season 6 memories. Melinda's powers bound. Wyatt and Mel could swing sides. WOW! ((Must say. Love the mention of Bianca.))

In an episode of Charmed, Piper went to the future and saw she had a daughter called Melinda. When she eventually fell pregnant everyone presumed that she would have that daughter, but the writers instead chose to give her a son, and make Melinda no longer exist.

Ever since then fans have been wanting Piper to have her little girl called Melinda.

Her next child, as we know, was also not Melinda, but Chris. Then the finale of Charmed went to air and there was a scene that showed Piper saying goodbye to 3 children who were going to school...so once again fans have speculated that Melinda would now exist as Piper and Leo's third child.

I have always written stories with only Chris and Wyatt, because that's how I see the spinoff to be...but given that there did seem to be a third child in the finale, I thought I would try to write her character in. But I really don't want her to be there, that is why I've sent her away. I wouldn't want her character to be a part of the series.

I agree, a daughter isn't needed in the spin-off, and by having her and then sending her away, it all works out. I've love to see more episodes, CharmingAussie.

This was an amazing story. You did a superb job of explaining everything. At first I wanted to question how Chris could not know of Vahalla. But you did a wonderful job of showing how he gets all of his former memories back. Though, I am not clear why he did not have them to begin with. I was under the impression when Chris came back to help Leo that he was still aware of everything that had happened. And it seemed to me that he and Bianca did not think that changing the future would erase their memories of what had happened, just alter the future course (not sure that that makes sense once written). I love that you included Melinda for continuity but "rid' the story and the series of her presence. And there are so many possilbilites of what can be done with her other than to kill her off. Love the explanation of the "girls" close call with death. Can't wait to read more.....

Thanks for all your lovely comments, everyone. I really enjoyed writing this script, as it is what I would like to see if The Charmed Sons ever became a reality. I haven't started writing a second episode as yet, but may get around to it in the next couple of months.

seductresspeisinoe, I always believed that the Chris we knew in Season 6 died (murdered by Gideon) and his memories died with him. Baby Chris then grew up in the changed future with no memories of the other Chris because that future never existed.

Had the Chris from Season 6 returned to the future as he had hoped, then I believe he would have merged with his future self in a similar way that Piper did in the series finale, and he would have retained his memories from both timelines. Unfortunately, though, he died and then ceased to exist, so Baby Chris grew up without any memories from the alternate timeline.

That was really good! I liked it a lot! If they do make a Charmed Sons spin-off they should definetely consider using your script, or at least something similar
