Chapter 01: Cole & A Little Baby

Paige is sitting there on the couch watching T.v. They have been demon free for the last month, so she figures she take advantage of it. She leans back & grabs a lollipop & sticks it her mouth. A baby cries from the other room. Piper, her older sister, had a baby girl about 4 months ago. Her husband Leo Wyatt, who is also a Whitelighter, is such a big help with their daughter Melinda. They all had to save Piper from the demon Zankou. He wanted their baby, but they vanquished him. But their has been other low level demons who have tried, but always ended up getting vanquished. Melinda is so smart for a little baby. She knows good from evil. She has this shield that covers her body whenever evil is near. She smiles thinking of her little niece.

In the background, she hears Phoebe coming through the door with her, I guess you would say, her boyfriend who used to be a demon, & now is human. She knows she still doesn't trust him half the time, but demons, or even Ex-demons can't be trusted.

"Hey Paige, you wont believe what happened today," Phoebe said as she sat on the couch beside her sister.

Paige takes her eyes off the T.v. & looks at her,"Let me guess. We have a demon on our hands, & you need our help to vanquish it's sorry behind."

Phoebe laughed,"No, their is no demon. Don't worry so much."

Paige replied,"Oh! What is it that happened today?"

Phoebe took a glance around to make sure Cole wasn't in hearing range. When she sees he isn't around, she continues to tell Paige her news. "Well, as Cole & I was out for dinner, he sorta took me by surprise & um, asked me a question."

Paige stares at her, trying to figured out what Phoebe is talking about.

"What is it he asked you,"Paige said curiously.

Phoebe goes to answer when Cole walks into the living room. The girls look over, & sees Melinda in his arms. They both started laughing because they can tell he is clueless on how to take care of a baby.

Cole frowns when they start laughing. "If you think you can get this baby to quit crying. Be my guest."

Phoebe walks over to him & kisses his cheek. "Sorry baby, it's just cute to see you with Melinda."

She takes the baby out of his arms,& starts to rock her, laying her body against her chest. After a moment, she stops crying, & after another minute, she is asleep. Phoebe looks at Cole & smiles. He just stares at her with amazement.

"Pheebs, you are a natural,"Paige tells her older sister.

Phoebe smiles at her sister, pleased that she said that. She looks back at Cole.

"Cole, take Melinda back to her crib, or if Piper wants to feed her, or change her first, give her to Piper."

Cole stares at the little bundle, fast asleep in Phoebe's arms. He is afraid if he takes her, she'll wake up. But, Phoebe asks him to, so very slowly, he takes the baby out of her arms & holds her against his chest. So far, so good. She hasn't woke up yet. He gets as far as the stairs when she opens her eyes, but, she closes them again.

Phoebe watches him walk up the stairs & than heads back to the couch.

"Before he returns, let me tell you what it was that he asked me."

Paige leans close to hear when Phoebe had to say. Afterwards, Paige said a little too loudly,"He asked you what?"

Melissa, I finally getting around to reading it. This is wonderful so far. I have a feeling what it is that shocked Paige. Hopefully Cole doesn't hear that reaction, but, to find out, I have to wait till you post again, or, you can tell me early when I get home.

Very nicely done, Melissa!

I can't quite tell if this is supposed to be a sequel to "Where's Piper?" or not since it includes Melinda, not Wyatt, as Piper had in that fic. And Melinda tells us that this is another Alternate Universe fic, the type I love since anything can happen.

And you were right; I like the start of this one a lot better than the start of your earlier one. Like I wrote in my "To-be-Blessed List", I admire you for having the courage to admit that the other one wasn't working, but rather than quitting, figuring a way to switch it around.

My favorite scene was Cole with Melinda! It made me both laugh and smile at the same time! It was just *so* perfect!!

As usual my only criticism is your constant changing of tenses. You need to decide either past or present and then stick with it. Present tense usually works best if you're just telling it from one person's point of view. Since you're not in this one, you'll do best doing it from past, like you did "Where's Piper".

But you still have me very curious to find out what Cole asked.

Thank you very much Es. This is suppose to be a sequel to "Where's Piper." I decided to have her have a baby girl instead.

One of the million reasons I had Alternative Charmed delete Chapter 10 for me. So whoever reads my other story doesn't know I was gonna have Piper have a boy.

I try my best to keep it in one tense. I don't realize I change that a lot..

I'll make sure in the future how I am writing everyone so it's in one tense.

Chapter 02: Paige saves an innocent

Cole walks into the nursery & sees Piper sitting their in the rocking chair, about to nod off. Hearing foot steps, Piper opens her eyes & sees them two. She smiles as Cole puts Melinda in her arms.

Piper asks jokingly,"Tired of her already."

Cole shakes his head no & adds,"She was, um, being fussy & I figured she wanted her mother."

Piper chuckles to herself,"Okay Cole. Thank you for bringing her to me."

He nods & left the room in a hurry. Cole shuts the door very quietly. As much as he wants to get away, he didn't want to wake that baby up. He goes to head back downstairs, but he overhears the girls talking about what he asked Phoebe. He needed to know what is going through her mind, so he eaves drops on them.

"So, Phoebe, what are you going to tell him."

Phoebe takes a sip of her water from her throat being dry. She than looks at her sister & says to her,"I don't know what I'm going to do. I love him very much. I just, I just need time to think."

Paige replies,"I know Pheebs, but sooner or later, you have to talk to him."

Phoebe looks away from her for a moment knowing what she said is the truth. It's not right to keep a question like that in the air. "You're right, give me just tonight. I'll talk to Cole tomorrow. I promise."

Paige smiles & nods. Phoebe gives her sister a quick thanks & heads to go upstairs.

Cole seeing that she is heading his way, he goes to shimmer, but realizes he can't shimmer. So he hurries & heads out the front door. He needs to get away anyways, & think about what he just heard. What does she need to think about? he wonders.

Phoebe walks to the nursery, & sees Piper has fallen asleep in the chair. She goes on & heads to her room. Cole is probably waiting there for her, wanting to talk about their future. She opens the door, but he isn't there. She is relieved she doesn't have to discuss it tonight.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Paige sits on the couch & decides to watch a little bit of the 11:00 news. She turns the volume up a little because she can't hear the reporter.

"Here we are standing at the Golden Gate Bridge. We are reporting a young woman is threating to jump off if anybody comes near her." The camera goes to focus on the young woman. The lady continues,"It seems she is yelling at all the officers. If anyone out there knows who this woman is. Please, come down here & help. She may need you."

As Paige looks at the young woman, she notices she looks a lot like someone she has seen before. Paige' Whitelighter powers are telling her this woman is an innocent, & she needs to help her. She decides to let her sisters sleep, so she orbs over to the bridge. She got there just in time because that woman lost her footing & she starts falling. Paige orbs through the air & caught her right before she hits the pavement & orbs her back to the manor.

She knows she'll have a lot of explaining to do. This woman will wonder how she didn't die, & the press will wonder why they can't find a body. All she knows is that she was suppose to save this woman.

Chapter 03: Who is the innocent?

Piper wakes up & hears voices downstairs. She can tell one of them is Paige. She stretches before getting up to see what is going on. Piper heads to the nursery to check on her daughter first. She must of gone to bed sometime last night. When she opens the door, she sees Leo sleeping on the rocking chair, holding Melinda. She smiles big at the site of them. She quietly closes the door & heads downstairs. She walks to the livingroon & sees Paige talking to someone. All Piper can see is the woman's back. She has long dark hair, slightly tall & only has a string that ties her shirt together. The rest of her back is revealing.

Piper walks over to them & says,"Good morning Paige. I see you brought a friend over."

Paige replies,"Good morning to you too sis. I only met her last night. She is an innocent. If I didn't go save her, she would of killed herself."

Piper goes & stands next to Paige. When the innocent moves some hair away from her face. Piper gasps!

Phoebe wakes up to the the smell of coffee. She takes a long deep breath before getting up. She walks to the kitchen & sees her two sisters in the kitchen talking to someone. Piper notices her & smiles weakly,"Phoebe, you're awake. Good. Maybe you can tell us what you think."

Phoebe asked,"Yeah, sure. What's up?"

Piper answered,"This is going to be hard to believe. I hardly believe it myself, but this woman here. She looks a lot like.......a lot like. Well, just come take a look."

Phoebe takes a look at the woman & says,"It can't be."

The woman looks at these girls, scared, unsure & she has no clue what is going on. She doesn't remember who she is. She couldn't take it anymore not having any memories of her past. After a year in a half, she has hoped to remember, but she is still clueless. She takes a look around the kitchen. For some reason, she feels she has been here before.

The three sisters excuses themselves & heads to the living room. Once there, Paige whispers,"So, are you two trying to tell me that woman I saved last night looks exactly like your sister who died almost 2yrs ago?"

This is interesting!
I love the bit with Cole and Melinda! I can picture it in my head perfectly! Interesting twist with Melinda instead of Wyatt! I wouldnt have inspected that, infact, it had me guessing who it was!
I also Paige's attitude towards Cole! Its totally Paige as she hates Cole!
So whats happening with this innocent? Is it Prue...??

Chapter 04: A New Plan

In the dark lit cave, a demon named Grunom is angry. He finds out that witch escaped. Grunom has light yellow skin with dark blood color eyes. The top of his head is winkled with small black patches of hair. His nails are long, shape & pointy. He is missing some teeth, & his voice is a husky whisper. Like if he is losing his voice. He has the power to bring the dead back to life, & is able to control warlocks to do his bidding.

Grunom demanded,"How did she escape?"

The warlock replied,"I did what you asked. I left her on the bridge, I had her under my spell for her to kill herself. She fell off the bridge, but someone saved her."

The demon eyes glowed red when he heard this. He asked,"Who is this person that ruined my plan?"

The Warlock answered,"I believe it was her sister,"

Grunom yells & throws a fireball at the warlock & he turns into dust. He walks back & forth trying to come up with a new idea. He summons another warlock.

The warlock bows down to him, and asked,"How can I be of service."

"I want you to bring back the sister of the charmed ones. She has no memory of her being a witch. So no need to worry about her using her power against you." Grunom holds our his hand & a dagger appears,"If anyone gets in your way. Kill them."

The warlock nods & takes the dagger & shimmers out.

Meanwhile, back at the manor. The girls & the innocent are sitting on the couch in the living room.

Piper asked,"Do you have any memory of your past."

The woman shakes her head no.

"How long has it been since you lost your memory."

The woman answers,"About a year in a half."

Paige, who is sitting next to Piper, leans over to whisper in her ear,"That's about how long it's been since Prue died."

Piper nods in agreement, but had to ask her one more question,"Where have you been staying?"

The woman closes her eyes, & a tear slides down her cheek. "I'm not exactly sure. It was dark, & I couldn't see anything. Only thing I got out of who had me there is the name Grunom. At least thats what the other people called him."

Paige says right afterwards. "Piper, Phoebe, come to the kitchen with me now." They all excused themselves & walks to the kitchen.

Phoebe than asked,"What is it Paige?"

Paige takes a deep breath & tells them she remembers seeing that name somewhere before. She believes it was in The Book Of Shadows.

Piper goes to head to the book when Cole walks in the kitchen.

"That girl out there looks an awful lot like Prue."

Paige explains,"We've realized that. She is my innocent. Do you know the name Grunom?"

Cole nods,"He is an upper level demon. He has the power to bring the dead back to life. He brings back powerful witches to start an army, & to bring them to evil. After awhile, if they don't show any signs of changing sides. He kills them by having them commit suicide. A lot of times by controlling Warlocks to do it for him."

Phoebe comes to realization,"Piper, Paige. What Cole said goes along with that girl out there. If everything is what I think it is. I believe that girl Paige saved last night is actually our sister Prue."

Piper adds,"No memory, the name Grunom. Was gonna commit suicide. About the same time Prue died, & looks exactly like her. Pheebs, I think you're right,"

That demon sounds really nasty! Good description on your point though!
A demon that brings back powerful witches? Thats really clever!
So what are the Charmed Ones going to do about their sister? It would be ace if they could save her, though, if she is dead technically... They may have to say bye to her again!

Chapter 05:

The girls returned to back to the living room to only see that she is nowhere to be found. They hear a crash upstairs and they run up the stairs. Piper opens up the attic door and they see her with The Book of Shadows in her hands. She is skimming the pages and than looks at the girls,"Who are you people? Why do you have a book of spells. Are you even human?"

Piper takes a quick breath and looks at Phoebe who looks back at her and nods. Piper knows what that nod means so she looks back at who she believes is her sister and explains,"This will come to a shock for you, but we need for you to just listen. You don't need to be afraid. My sisters & I are witches. We are humans, but with powers. We save innocents, and we believe the guy you've stayed with is a demon." Piper closes her eyes before telling her the latest news."We also believe you're our sister Prue."

The woman still has fear in her eyes when she says,"If I am your sister, does that mean I have powers too?"

Paige nods

Phoebe gets an idea and grabs a notebook and pen and starts writing.

Piper asked,"Phoebe, what are you doing?"

Phoebe finishes writing and grins,"I wrote a spell that should bring back her memory. I can't believe we didn't think of this before"

She starts reading the spell,"Memories gone away,bring them back, to Prue's brain today."

The three girls look at the woman, but she still has a blank look on her face. Phoebe asked,"Do you have any memories?"

The woman shakes her head no. Behind her, the glass window broke and shattered. The cold wind settles in the air of the attic.

Paige yells,"Look out, a demon is behind you."

The woman turns around and falls victim to the demon. Piper tries to freeze, but he disappears before she could. Along with their innocent. Possibly with their sister Prue.

In the underworld, Grunom shimmers her to his cave. He ties her wrists behind her back and throws her on the ground.

"Let me go,"she cried out.

Grunom glares at her, but doesn't say a word. He walks back to his temple and and pulls out a dagger knife. He slides it across his finger and it slit open. A oozed of green blood poured out.

He grinned,"Perfectly sharpen,"he turns towards her," to kill you myself witch."

The woman sees the light glimmering upon the blade, sees the sharpness of that blade when he held it high. She sees pure evil in his eyes and she knows if she doesn't think quick, she is dead.

Chapter 06:

Piper slams the attic door as she walks into the attic along beside her sisters. She can't believe they let the demon take her. She should of reacted faster.

Paige walks over to The Book of Shadows and starts flipping through the pages. After a few minutes, she lands on the page they need.

"Piper, Phoebe, I found the demon. It says here that all we need to vanquish him is The Power of Three spell and a potion. We have all the ingredients we need accept 2 items."

Piper walks over to her and takes a look at the book.

"We need a piece of his flesh and some sage. Paige, since you can orb, it will be a lot faster for you to get the sage. Phoebe & I will try to find a way to get a piece of his flesh."

Paige nods & orbs out of the attic.

Piper looks at Phoebe and asked,"Are you ready to do this sis."

At that moment, Melinda decides to wake up and start crying.

"Pheebs, write a Power of Three spell. I'm gonna go check on Melinda real quick."

Piper goes & picks up Melinda. Holding her close to her chest, bouncing up and down trying to calm her so she'll go back to sleep. When nothing seems to be working, she calls out to her husband.

"Leo."

In front of her, blue tiny orbs appear before her. Leo asked once he regained his form,"What is it honey. What is going on."

Piper explained,"We lost that innocent to a demon, and we are trying to find her, but Melinda here needs someone to watch over her. Try bouncing, or just hold her, but we have an innocent to save.

Leo watches as Piper puts their daughter in his arms & gives him a quick smile & a kiss.

Chapter: 07

Cole walks upstairs to see Piper making a potion with a frown on her face. Phoebe is standing there beside her handing her ingredients when Paige orbs back in.

"Okay, I got the sage. Do you have the flesh yet?"

Phoebe shakes her head no. "Not yet, but hopefully we'll get it soon."

Cole interrupts,"Are you trying to get Grunom's flesh. If you are trying to find him, I know where his lair is back when I was a demon."

Piper looks up from what she is doing and smiles. "Oh, good. Paige can orb us down there."

Paige walks over to Piper and in a low voice asked,"What are we gonna do. We need a plan. How are we gonna get his flesh."

"I'm gonna freeze him and you're gonna cut a piece of his flesh, than orb us out of there. Hopefully we'll have the potion finished before he shows up here, and kills us all."

Paige grabs her sisters hands and Cole's and orbs them down into the Underworld. Cole takes a few steps forward and looks around the corner. It looks clear, so they started walking when a few demons appeared. Phoebe jumps in the air and side swaps one of the demons while Piper was blowing them up one by one.

They continued walking to a large entrance. They can see a demon with a large knife in his hand, and they realize he is about to stab their innocent. Piper runs in there only to find out he is immune to her powers. He can't freeze. "Uh oh,"Piper said out loud with panic in her voice.

Grunom turns around and sees them. His eyes lit up red and he throws the dagger after Piper was heading back to her sisters. She felt the blade slice through her back and she falls onto the ground.

Phoebe runs over to her and yells out to Paige. "Take us home. We need Leo to heal her."

Paige takes them all home, and Phoebe runs to the nursery and brings Leo back to the attic.

He takes a look at his wife and leans down towards her. He takes his hand and lays it over her wound. A moment later his hand glows orange, and very bright. Before their eyes, the wound heals and closes. Piper takes in a deep breath and takes a look around.

"What happened."

Leo helps her up and says,"You almost died."

Chapter 08:

The young woman sees he no longer has the dagger, and all she is thinking about is getting her hands untie and hopes Piper is alive. As she thinks of a plan, she feels her wrist is getting circulation in them. Without even realizing it, she takes her hands in front of her and rubs her wrist. Her eyes open wide when she realizes her hands are free. A memory comes to mind.

She was being held captive by a prisoner who has escaped, and he wanted her help because some demons were after him. She remembers her hands being untied behind the chair. She untied the knot with her mind before she flew that guy across the room with the flick of her hands.

They were right. I am a witch. I have powers, she thought with a grin on her face.

With the sound of someone walking towards her, she opens her eyes and sees Grunom walking towards her with yet another long sharp dagger in his hand. She wonders if she can throw him across the room like she did with that guy. She closes her eyes and takes a quick breath. She lifts her hands and flicked it towards him. Like a powerful force flew the room from her hands. Grunom flies through the air and hits the wall than falling onto the ground.

The woman stands up and wipes of her pants, and runs her fingers through her hair to get the tangles out. She looks around her surroundings and wonders how she is gonna get out of here.
She thinks about that woman Paige and sees how they got out.

"Oh, Paige. If only you can hear me,"she said out loud not realizing Paige will be able to tell she is needed.

Back at the manor, Paige felt a jolt through her body and a faint whisper of someone calling her name.

Piper stops what she is doing to look at Paige.

"Paige, are you okay."

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just got this strange feeling that woman called me."

Phoebe asked,"Are you sure it wasn't the demon fooling you in believing that."

Paige sits down at the couch in the attic and nodded. "I'm sure."

Chapter 09: Saving the Innocent

The young woman goes & hides behind a boulder. Hoping to stay hidden till help arrives. She can hear Grunom coming closer to where she is. She takes a look, and realized she is trapped. As he looks around to where she is hiding. He grins with a sneer, you can see his yellow teeth rotting. You can feel the evil rubbing off of you.

Once again, she uses her hands and flies him across the room, smacking his head on a rock on the floor, barely cracking his skull.

To the far left of where he lies, Paige orbs in with Piper, and runs over to the woman. They walk back to her and gives her a big hug.

"I'm so glad to see your alive. I was worried Piper."

As Piper gives her a hug back, memories started rushing back in that womans mind.

The Manor: Attic

Phoebe paces back & forth waiting for them three to return. She grabs some crystals so when he shows up. They can trap him. They need to be ready. Behind her, Cole walks in and wraps his arms around her, bending over her shoulder to kiss her cheek. She leans against him & smiles, than backs away remembering what he asked her just a couple days ago.

"Phoebe, please talk to me. What is wrong. Is it what I asked you. If so, I'm sorry, but I meant what I said. I want to marry you."

Phoebe goes to respond when they all orb in.

"Phoebe, I can't believe how much you've grown. You're beautiful."

Phoebe's drops her chin and stares at this woman speechless as she walks over to her with a warm embrace.

Piper walks over to the potion and drops a piece of his flesh in the potion. She backs off before the potion blew up in smoke.

Chapter 10: The Power of Four

The woman smiles at Phoebe and said,"Sorry I approached you the way I did,"she pauses for a moment, "sis."

Phoebe's eyes opened wide and she almost chokes on her own words.

"Prue? Is it you. Is it really you?"

Prue smiles and welcomes Phoebe into her arms. "It's really me. After they rescued me, something about the way Piper hugged me, and the connection I had with her brought back my memory. I can't believe it's been almost 2yrs, and to see how much you've matured. I'm very proud of you."

Phoebe's eyes glistened with tears and she just hugs her tighter.

As Paige watches them, her eyes also glistened with tears. She thought she was all teared out when Piper cried before they all orbed up there.

Phoebe takes a step back and hands Paige the crystals. Piper goes to the shelf and gets a couple vitals and puts the potion inside.

Phoebe realizes something. She asked,"How did you manage to get a piece of his flesh?"

Piper answered,"Your brilliant sister over here threw him across the room, and when we showed up. He was knocked out, so we took advantage of it, and sliced his arm. I'm not sure how long he'll be knocked out, so we gotta be ready for him.

Paige walks over to Phoebe and asked,"Have you wrote the vanquishing spell yet."

Phoebe nodded,"Yeah. I finished that a little bit ago. It's in my pocket. Why do we need these crystals for. Can't we just freeze him.?"

Piper shakes her head. Can't that girl remember anything.

"Remember when we were down there earlier. My powers are immune. He can't freeze."

Phoebe thinks back,"Oh yeah, I remember. Sorry Piper."

Each sister holds onto a crystal, and waits for Grunom to appear.

After 20 minutes, he shimmers in, and they all set down the crystal. Building a cage he can't get out of.

Paige whispers in there ears,"Don't forget the plan."

The other 3 nods there head, including Prue's.

They all stand next to each other, and they start reading the spell Phoebe wrote.

"Full of Evil, Full of Hate
Vanquished this demon out the gate
The power of 4 here we stand
Once & for all, vanquished this demon off our land"

As Grunom screams out in pain, to finish the vanquishing, Paige says,"Crystals."

The gate is no longer there, and Piper & Prue throws the potion at Grunom. Fire appeared around him, and he throws in his hands in the air before he poofed into nothing.

Chapter 11: Celebrating good times

Later that evening, a few hours after vanquishing Grunom. Phoebe gets up from the couch from where the rest of her family is. She looks at Piper sitting between Leo and Prue. She sits there with a big smile on her face, before handing her daughter to Prue.

Prue lifts Melinda up, and gives her a Eskimo kiss before giving her funny faces. Across from them sits dad. His eyes glowed with happiness having all his daughters home.

Phoebe walks into the kitchen to get some tea when Cole walks in behind her.

"I'm so happy for you Phoebe. I'm glad Prue is back."

She turns around and walks into his arms.

"I am too."

She pulls away and looks into his eyes.

"Cole. I am sorry I've been avoiding your question. You just surprised me, and I didn't know what to say."

Cole clears his throat & asked,"So, what do you say now."

Phoebe giggles, and gives him a kiss on the lips. "I say yes. I want to marry you too."

They both walk back into the living room, and announced their engagement. Prue is the first to jump up off the couch to congratulate her.

Paige, Phoebe, Piper, and Prue all stand there, wrapping their arms around each other.
