BUT! I talked to my mom, who talked to a friend who lives in Denver, CO, and she told me it had been snowing there like a week or so ago. Granted, it IS the Rockies..

consider yourselves lucky. Down under, we have hardly had any rain at all this winter....probably in total about 1 weeks worth. and it is predicted to be a dry summer. that means water restrictions bring on summer

We will be very lucky if we even see a snowflake in my country, what we have is mostly rain in the winter. Its the position of Denmark who does it, we are to far in both the north and south to have regular snow. You have to go to northern Sweden or Norway to experience regular snow and all the way down to middle Germany to see it.

I've only seen snow twice maybe trice in my lifetime, so it's not much different to you guys down under. Right now I'd love to have a drought, the rain makes me cry - I also have a condition which means if I get wet on a cold day, I could become seriously ill. I was hospitalised two years ago because of the bloody weather in this country!

We got a blasting of snow over here in Nevada a few weeks ago. In fact, in Reno (I don't live there, thankfully) they were even requiring chains!
Where I live, it basically snowed a lot, then stuck, then stopped, then melted away, then started snowing again but not sticking until it finally stopped. (This took all day.) We haven't had anymore snow since than though. (I'm not looking forward to it either. I hate driving in the snow and on the ice and the snow tires are loud and annoying.)

Granted, it IS the Rockies.. Yep. That is absolutely correct. I'm from Colorado and we've had snow here for a while. In fact first snow was at the beginning of October. And it even snowed last night. But as Assasin said...it IS the Rockies. Oh and Peony, I can definitely get some pictures up of the snow.

Wow. I wouldn't know what to do if we didn't get snow until after Christmas. 99% of the time we have snow before Halloween.
