OKay, so I am a huge power freak. When it comes to Charmed, I focus a lot on the powers themselves. I want to ask what you all think what the following powers are called and how they work. There seem to be different opinions.
What do you think of Phoebe, Bianca, Wyatt Coop, and Prue's powers now and in the future?
Phoebe: Is it premonition(future seeing), clairvoyance(seeing, future, present and past) or psychometry(Seeing through touch)? And what was her power in Morality Bites? Was it electrokinesis(possibly channeled anger through empath power) or psyoverload (channeled anger through premonition power)? I hear both.
Bianca, Wyatt, and other witches: Energy balls? Since when?
Coop: How much can a cupid really do with/without the ring? And can he fade without it? What can Phoebe's children do since their half cupid?
Prue: How did her power grow in Morality Bites and is it similar to Wyatt's power in Imaginary Friends?

Personally I think Phoebe's power developed from premonitions to clairvoyance as not only did she have visions, her actual psychic senses became more heightened and advanced.
In her future, she had a power named electro-mental ignitions which meant she could create a passive electrical link to someones psyche (or brain to put it simply), which could become lethal if used incorrectly or with the intent to kill.
In the future Prue simply had an advanced level or telekinesis or sometimes known as telekinetic blasts or energy waves. I believe it was at the same strength as future Wyatts. But really, it's just telekinesis.

But since S6 with the introduction of Richard(I think thats his name..) and his family being able to steal pwoers, I guess thats what some future witches did. And Bianca was a new version that we hadnt seen before so its easy to accept her having it.

I am also with you Patrick! I love the powers!
I also thought of Prue's advance powers being some sort of molecular manipulation, like she can move things around on a molecular level. She got angry, so it translated into her power and made the molecules go hectic and explode. I wish we would have gotten to see what else she could do with her future powers.

I agree Seer, if they wanted to kill Prue off, they could have at least given us a taste of her future more.
And I've actually heard of Phoebe's electro-mental ignition, guess it flew over me. I'm still on the fence with that one though. It's hard to see her power grow like that, but I suppose they would if she was bent on revenge, who knows?
And I could see future witches having energy balls, makes sense if you go down the timeline enough. Kind of like Bacarra and his powers.

While we associate particular powers with good and evil, there are no real restrictions. Good can throw fire, evil can have telekinesis etc...it's only really whitelighter abilities that are more constricting. You wouldn't really see demons orbs, at least not like whitelighters do, perhaps dark orbs like a darklighter but not blue orbs.

It's still a little weird when I think about witches with energyballs. It seems so superwitchy. What regular witch goes around leaving scorch marks everywhere? Besides Piper of course. The Montanas, the Callaways, Bianca and Future Wyatt all had energyballs, and they were witches but still, they appeared more as that. Or at least different kind of witches. It's as if having the ability to have energyballs makes you a negative person or something.

Cupids do not have specific powers except a strong feeling of good or evil, all cupid powers are in the ring so Phoebe daughters unless they swallowed their father ring are simple witches
The Montanas, the Callaways and Bianca are witches who have expanded their power, turning to black magic (do you remember Richard's room full of unorthodox ingredients as fairy wings or gremlin ears?)
Wyatt is something different a superwitch arises from an extraordinary astronomical conjunction
About Phoebe I hope that the evolution of her power could be linked to her ability to see the future a wonderful even if underestimated power

What exactly is black magic? I don't like how Charmed seemed to define black magic. The certain power would define it being good or evil, and not what it was use for. I espicially hated when Cole used an energy ball on Barbas and TCOs resented him for that because he enjoyed it. We all know Piper would have enjoyed using her exploding power on Barbas, but Paige and Phoebe would have only cheered her on. Just because Cole uses powers associated with demons, doesn't exactly have to make him demonic.

if you accept the Wicca ethics that you can do what you want as long as you didn't hurt anyone the black magic is the will to obtain knowledge and power through an abuse of the laws of universal harmony In some Charmed episode it was talked about black -dark-evil magic

I believe that our society is suffering biggest problems than not being able to distinguish between black and evil magic I didn't say dark equals evil, I simply said that generally it's named black magic the magic that wants to obtain more knowledge and power than the ones allowed to own level of development anyway black magic is frequently synonymous with evil magic There is no need to to open a tedious debate on the various theories or the history-originally black magic was linked to the night and white magic to the day, black magic to the absence of period and white to fertility - or about Gerald Gardner or Aleister Crowley this is a Charmed board and I was just pointing out that some ingredients owned by the The Montanas as fairy wings suggest that the family had not complied with the code "harm none"

I think once witches cross that wiccan rede, they throw out all pretenses about preserving magic for the greater good and are able to actually focus their magic on a personal level like being able to create their own sort of energy (like energyballs). Where as good witches would rather cast out their personal energy to the world around them...figuratively speaking.

I just watched "Forget Me . . . Not". One, I was irritated by Piper's attitude toward the Cleaners. As if they were villains. Two, I was annoyed by the Charmed Ones' attitude by Wyatt's display of powers - treating it with a mixture of mild annoyance and a great deal of pride. Three, the Halliwells' attitude that their erasure would upset the balance of good and evil is too ridiculous to believe. Apparently they have forgotten that magic has managed to do quite well before their existence.
But really annoyed me is that the Halliwells managed to manipulate the Cleaners into leaving Wyatt alone. Worse, they did nothing to control Wyatt's misuse of magic. If they had any sense (and I believe they don't), they would have simply bound Wyatt's powers until he was old enough to handle them in a responsible and somewhat mature manner. But these three idiots didn't consider this . . . at least not in this episode.
