It all depends. The way the show was done, yes, I think they would both have the powers, but Prue wouldn't be able to do Power of Three spells with her sisters like Paige could.
Now had Ghost Prue shown up with Grams and actually do a ceremony of some sort where Prue's powers were actually transferred to Paige (as should've been done), then, no, she wouldn't.

Either way, there should be no transferring of powers anyway. Paige is half witch, it would make senes she would inherit a power.

The show made it very clear that she got Prue's power because Prue had died; NOT that she had had it before, the way she had her orbing powers before. Had Piper died, she would've gotten the power to freeze time mixed up with her whitelighterly stuff; had Phoebe died, she would've gotten the power to see the future mixed up with her whitelighterly stuff. Prue was born with that power, not Paige. Otherwise undoubtedly Paige would've known - I'm sure she would've stuck out her hand and happen to say something that would've orbed into her hand. Seeing how shocked she was, that obviously had never happened. Stupid, yes. But it was Kern, so what do you expect?

The one witch from Season 3, I don't remember her name, didn't really have a power. She just had that amulet for protection.

The two witches with the amulet halves were Leeza (the first one) and Jenna (the second). The episode was exit strategy. Do we know if they were magical witches or just witch practitioners (like Aunt Gail and her friends)? I'd look it up, but I have to get going.

I did some checking and it appears that although their only power was to be able to guard their half of the amulet, they were actual witches who could cast spells and make potions. Remember? Jenna taught them how to make the spell to vanquish Belthazor.
I've always wondered if all four Charmed Ones could cast spells and make potions even before they became Charmed. And I wonder how often Piper made a potion with Grams...

This is not connected to the current conversation, but it has to do with the comics. Raven Gregory tweeted that issue #3 will be the last one he will work on. Ravengregory Just heads up people. Issue 3 of Charmed is my last issue. @paulruditis is doing a fabulous job w/o me. Keep reading. Big things coming!
paulruditis ravengregory Thanks for everything, teach. But you'll still be around to provide a guiding hand and answer my questions, right? RIGHT?!?!
Ravengregory @paulruditis Yes. Still with you all the way. I will be your ObiWan until Vader slices my behind away.
paulruditis ravengregory Then I will use the Power of Three to smite Vader's behind. It will be interesting to see if we can tell what kind of changes that makes. After all this comic series is still in it's beginings, so there's not a lot to compare with. On a different note, I am eager for Wednesday and getting my hands on issue #2. Anyone else planning to get their copy (or copies if they are getting multiple covers) on Wednesday?

Well, there's a reviewer online who pretty well tells the whole plot, so I'll post the links. The first one doesn't really tell the plot the way the second one does, but all the first one really did was introduce the characters, so it's not really that necessary. Here's for Charmed #1: www.adamreisinger.com/2010/07/charmed-comic-review-issue-1.htmland here's for Charmed #2: www.adamreisinger.com/2010/08/charmed-comic-review-issue-2.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterOh, regarding the ""letter" from Paige that recaps the first issue (and the Issue #0 prequel) and breaks the fourth wall a little bit.", here it is: (highlight this space:) Who knew life (well, at least the last year and a half) without the constant struggle between the forces of good and evil could be this busy? I was helping Leo out at Magic School and "accidentally" turned a snotty little miss princess into a seven story tall demon. And before you ask, yes, we did fix her. Piper decided to open the restaurant she'd always dreamed of but foung that taking the first step is sometimes a lot tougher than it seems...especially when magic and babies are involved. And Phoebe, well, let's just say "leaving home is hard to do" takes on a whole new meaning with a magical infant around. If you haven't caught the pattern so far, magic and babies seem to be the recurring them in our lives...
Oh, and before I forget, there's a couple of strangers searching around the Underworld for who knows what. Pretty sure whatever it is can't be good news for us. But I won't knwo about that for a couple issues otherwise this recap wouldn't make any sense.
[signed]xoxo Paige.Actually I kinda like this - it reminds me of the sisters at the end of "Forever Piper" (no way I can call it "Forever Charmed") being able to write into The Book of Shadows exactly what's going to happen years before it does. It's that "for a couple issues" that makes me want to sigh. I don't *want* to have to wait a couple of issues before we find out what happens - I HATE these ultra-short issues! Back in the "good old days", when I used to collect DC Superman and Batman and Wonder woman comics and Marvel Spiderman and Captain America and Fantastic Four comics, you got an entire story, no, TWO stories in one issue, and each story was at least 20 pages, and the whole thing cost a quarter! This feels like having to watch a whole month's worth of commercials before getting to see the next act! If this guy just keeps summarizing the plots, I could be tempted to just read those and wait until the actual book comes out in December or January. Knowing me, I won't be able to wait, but...

I am just going to buy them when they start collcting them in books. I can keep them neatly in my shelf easier like that, since it will all be in one book.

The current date for the first book (issues #0 - #5) is December 7th, but you will get to read the whole story at once rather than waiting for the "to be continued" to actually be continued. Issue #6, the one connecting to "Morality Bites" in someway, will be the first issue in the second volume, so in this case you will get the entire first storyline, and hopefully there won't be storylines that are part in one book and part in another, unless they are too long to fit. It should be interesting to see the books when they come out.

That's nice that if the first book comes out when it should that it will be out in time for the holiday season. Wonder if they planned it that way...
I'm definitely planning on getting the book when it comes out. Whether I also get the comic books themselves, well, we'll see. I'm definitely not happy with paying that much and getting so little of the story.
A friend who can't get them wants me to pick them up for her and she'll pay me back. Up to this point I've bought two copies - one for her and one for me. I could be tempted to just buy the one copy and just read hers! Although I'll have to let her know about the book and see if she'd rather wait for that...

Im not really into comics so much.. When you say book, do you mean an actual book or just all the comics compiled into a book? I would love for it to be an actual book.. Im heaps excited about this though! Should be very interesting!

It's a compilation of the comics to that point (The source book and the first story arc which is through issue #5), potentially with extras, though what those extras might be is uncertain. I've never bought comics before now either, but I wish we would get more story at a time. The book will have the whole story (for the first arc anyway), but I don't know how that will be put together. It will be interesting to see.

From what I've read, the first five issues is equivalent to an episode rather than an actual story arc, so getting the first book would like getting to watch an entire episode without having to wait through the month-long bunch of commercials.
At "The Source" the store where I've been buying the comics, I've seen books that are the same size as the comics but have a cover closer to a paperback. I'm assuming that this book would be like that.
Next time I go there, I'll have to check to see what the prices on those are.

I agree waiting for comics is a pain, especially when the story hasn't really got going yet. I'm just happy that Charmed has been given a shot at comic format, a big part of which I think is down to the success of the Buffy comics. i would wait for the books, as i like them better than the single issues, but I just can't wait that long and I really don't want any plot ruined for me which is likely to happen. I'm also pretty satisfied with the drawings of the sisters, however i think they need to work on Leo a bit more, i wouldn't have recognised him if someone hadn't said his name
