ok, lets put cole into perspective, human perspective.
lets paint cole as a criminal, rather than a demon. lets say for all his life cole has continually broken the law, been to jail etc. he is undercover for the mafia to kill phoebe, bu cant go through with it and falls in love, and repents his evil ways. however he cant help himself every now and then from running a red light now and then. all of a sudden he gets forced into being a big mafia lord or otherwise they will kill him, without phoebe knowing. when she does find out about it, he asks her to join him as his mafia queen. she does for a while until it tears a rift between her and her sisters.
she escapes and tells cole she wants nothing more to do with him or his lifestyle,
cole does escape from the mafia and tells phoebe he wants to be together again and that he has changed. she says no, but he keeps harrasing her....
what would you do?

I would leave him & most likely end up killing him at the end. I want to be good, not be a part of that crowd of people. No matter what I do, he won't leave me alone. I'd finally snap & take matters in my own hand. But, in real life, I'd do a restraining order first, and all that. Possibly move, but if that don't work. I'd probably do what Phoebe did.  |

no is it possible to see why it was phoebe's only option. he HAD to end it with cole for her own and her sisters safety?

After there love ended Cole really wasnt a threat to begin with. In all honesty it was only when Paige tried to vanquish him on her own that he did become a threat.

No I dont think she means in Centennial Charmed... Maybe in Siren Song, where he tries to Strangle her, then maybe she starts worrying, and thats when he becomes a "threat"?

Cole tried to strangle Phoebe when he was under the siren's spell. He was not the only character to pose a threat. Phoebe tried to beat Paige to death. Piper has tried to kill Paige. Phoebe has tried to kill Piper and Prue. Prue has tried to kill Piper and Phoebe. Paige has tried to turn her sisters into vampires. The list goes on and on. They have all posed threats to one another over the years, due to being under a spell . . . or when they were not under a spell. Cole was not unique in being the only one who did.

Yes, but the comment I was referring to was when Paige threatened to vanquish Cole. Yes, she threatened to orb his family jewels in A Witch's Tail and later confessed that she had completely misunderstood the nature of Phoebe's problem and Cole's role in it. But, she didn't really wish to vanquish him.
And, in Sympathy for the Demon she tried to help Cole, not vanquish him. In Sam I Am, she did as Phoebe demanded: made a more powerful concoction to possibly vanquish Cole, something she had already been asked to do by Phoebe in A Witch's Tail. Still, it was Phoebe who made the call, a fact that both Paige and Piper acknowledged.
The only time that Paige really pushed for Cole's vanquish was in Centennial Charmed. That's why I made that reference.

honestly when he appeared in s7 i thought he was just another being like the avatars,angel of death, and the cleaners. Because when piper asked him if he was a demon,ghost,or poltergist he said he was none of those things. kind of like the nobodies off of the kingdom hearts video game series.
