Which Mr. Carboard boyfriend of Phoebe's is the most boring personality wise? Dex Coop or Clay Clay played by Victor Browne only appeared in one episode so you can throw that out. Maybe you should've put Jason instead of Clay. I agree and I vote Jason At the start he seems Mr Right, caring, loving, smitten since My Three Witches The world of desires in which Gith throws Phoebe is what Jason wants for her: fame, celebrity, success He needs a trophy wife, an enviable woman, beautiful and famous Jason: I was so wrapped up in my career
Career was the most important thing for him: two boring men are still better than a frantic careerist

I'm just finished watching 'Death Becomes Them' and it is definitely one of my favourite episodes of Season 7. That said, I couldn't help but think of a few adjustments that would've made the episode even better, in my view: 1. Including Joanna and Tim in previous S7 episode: although their deaths/murders were tragic, Zankou's campaign to emotionally weaken the sisters would've been more poignant had we seen the relationships with these characters form over several episodes: Phoebe's romantically with Tim and Paige's as a Whitelighter/guide and friend to Joanna. 2. Zankou should've murdered Darryl as well: Utterly horrible to think of, I know, but considering he was not even brought back in Season 8 this would've been a good opportunity to truly shake the sisters to their core - by seeing their oldest friend be killed. I wonder if the writers flirted with this idea, as there is a lot of suggestive dialogue between Darryl, Sheridan and Shelia in this episode, some of which points towards some sort of 'end' for Darryl. 3. Bringing back Prue instead of Inspector Davidson: This seems even more likely to be something the writers would've wished for. I'm sorry but Zankou would NOT have brought back Reece when he knew the sisters had a dead sister, Prue would've been the perfect resource for him to use to achieve his goal. He even mentioned in 'Scry Hard' how devastated Piper was when she lost Prue, as she wrote in her diary. Add these changes to 'Something Wicca This Way Goes...?' in which the sisters pay tribute to Prue by using Astral Projection to fool/escape Zankou (preferably by way of a spell which Prue had devised, as opposed to having taught Leo the power) and I think those two episodes would've been an amazing series finale. What do you guys think? Your ideas are interesting Diano but I think it's more incisive the original plot Over the years, the sisters were forced to cut down on their social relations, for fear of demon attacks or embarrassment or risk for their secret They'ld certainly be upset if Tim was Phoebe's lover or if Paige had established a friendship with Johanna but Zankou's goal was to force them through suspense,in the fear that anyone who came near them might be killed: a salesman, a bartender, a neighbor Not knowing what it'ld happen and when and to whom i's destabilizing, Zankou wants to wear them down spiritually, knowing that the Book of Shadows reflects their feelings, their weakness Zankou adopted the extreme military strategy of scorched earth..and it worked As for Darryl, it'ld be suggestive but unfair, I like in Something Wicca This Way Goes when Darryl smiles and leaves the Manor Prue: Spelling gave Doherty a small percentage of the rights of Charmed, small but enough to give the power of veto on Prue's image, power that no actor has on the characters So no Prudence , indeed, in 'Death Becomes Them it wasn't possible: how could Zankou risk to revive Prue? A Charmed Ones? So linked to her sisters? It'ld backfire I'ld like a Prue' appearance in Something Wicca This Way Goes When the sisters are alone, abandoned even by the Elders who do not even bother to heal Piper's wound,it'ld be nice if Prudence came back, a rebel decision to help her sisters The use of astral projection was a nice idea but I 'ldn't stand that the sisters have to lear on the books as being able to use it, it's not something you can learn: or it's an innate power or you have to create the right spell Piper Phoebe and Paige study a spell and Prue help stayng at the Manor to see Zankou's destruction and then she closes the door with a smile: my perfect end

Instead Cole was an authoritative demon, part of an important Brotherhood and betrays his world only due to his love for Phoebe, without pay attention or figure out what role he would have in the human world of the Charmed Ones He'ld need time to decide, to understand what he wanted and want it was possible for him to do And I'm sure he'ld have kept his Belthazor powers, they were part of him, losing it was like losing his sight A great mistake being human, a worst mistake becoming the Source You can say the same thing about Leo. Leo had a hard time trying to fit into the world after being a whitelighter longer than he was human. Leo betrays the elders for his love for Piper. How is this any different? Cole lost part of his identity and the Charmed Ones didn't seem to help him adjust very well. Only thing that kept Leo sane was Magic School until that got taken over by demons and then he became Piper's errand boy. Leo came back to the world to which he belonged He was born and raised in the States, had studied, participated in a war and, as whitelighter, lived in our society helping people like him,he was able to understand rules and conventions of human society He left the Elders to return to his family, a wife and two children, to live the life that he'ld have lived if he wasn't died I'ld like to understand why a man who looks after his kids and makes commissions while the wife works, had to be contemptuously called errand boy, I'm glad that in Charmed a jobless man tried to make himself useful to his family

No need to be sorry since you *were* comparing it with Charmed while also showing why you're here and not on another show's fan site. I've never watched OUAT - too scary for this girl - but I found your comparisons very simply fascinating, a bit like a thread at a different site where they wanted to know if the actresses who played Buffy, Willow and whoever Charisma played had starred in Charmed and if Shannen, Holly and Alyssa had starred in Buffy, which parts would they play and despite me having seen very little of Buffy, I found it very interesting until the thread turned into one of how wonderful the Buffy actresses were and how horrible the Charmed actresses were (totally forgetting the quality of the writing - or so I've heard...) so I had to block the whole thread. But I see no need to do that with this one - just certain posts by certain people...I feel my own relationship with Charmed is a lot more healthier since I started doing that. Urgh, I've never liked the Buffy vs. Charmed stuff online. I think there's a mix of very good actors and mediocre actors in both Charmed and Buffy. Like you say, you have to take into account the quality of the writing. I think actors like Holly and Alyssa (even Rose to a lesser extent) were mostly wasted in later seasons due to poor scripts, while in Buffy some mediocre actors were bolstered considerably by decent writers (though not always, especially in the last two seasons... but I won't get into that rant haha). Glad you appreciated the comparisons. It didn't really become clear to me until finishing the first half of OUAT season 5. Funny how the fifth season seems like the point of no return for both shows! As I say, the reason I intend to keep watching is due to the love I once had for it; just like Charmed. Well, that... and there's also the fact that OUAT are starting a Greek mythology arc when they return in March. I love Greek mythology, so I'll be taking that bait. Although considering how much it's becoming like Charmed, I am more than a little nervous at the prospect of them doing this in season 5 of all seasons! I'll just pray that it doesn't end up like "Nymphs" or "Oh My Goddess". I was right to abandon Once Upon A Time I attended a classic high school, studying Latin and ancient greek, years translating myths and epic,I cannot stand to see mangled the Olympians

I believe that the problem, which also OUAT is suffering, is the organization Eric Kripke had planned three seasons for Supernatural, then extended to five and the fifth ended in fact the main plot of the show as imagined by Kripke Actually, the first five seasons of Supernatural are enjoyable,I rewatch willingly when they are re-programmed: the other five are holding only due to the bond that the two protagonists have created (they would have been perfect as Charmed Sons) and two seductive characters as Castiel and Crowley
But now the series is slackness and repetitive
Lost also was scheduled for 3 seasons then doubled, and you see it very well,4 seasons'ld be perfect
Charmed lasted 8 seasons, too much, too difficult
In 8 years, the characters have to grow, you cannot always portray Phoebe as the girl who was at 23, when she 31 now and this is a great problem, many fans were captivated by the image of three girls under 30, free of families or kids, uncertain about their future
Women over age 30 have different problems, the authors had to develop the characters, taking into account that thay are talking of three normal women with on their shoulders eight years of danger, suffering, death and mourning If they were the carefree girls of the start, they'ld have seemed silly
And it's logical to think that love affairs was born, usually the fans are excited at the beginning of the story, but this story often takes off charm to the characters, for example Bones was more fun when the two protagonists were not a couple
Only Friends, with Ross and Rachel, managed to create a couple very popular, perhaps because they are able to have a child without being a couple, fans were curious about how it would end, curiosity satisfied only at the end of the serie
Having three year fixed clear and guaranteed, it should be a good policy for the tv series And if all goes well other 2/3 decided with no hurry, not at the last moment
Eight are too many

I've definitely grown to like Piper and Phoebe less and appreciate Prue and Paige more. I think one's opinions just change naturally as you get older, so certain traits of Piper's and Phoebe's that I once found funny now get on my nerves a bit. Particularly now that I am doing my mini-marathon, I've noticed just how pointless Phoebe really is post Season 4; not only does she barely use her powers but she's just an annoying women in general. For example, in 'Valhalley of the Dolls', which I've just watched, she calls the restaurant to essentially stand up that DJ that asked her out, but then gets angry because her beat her to the punch. According to PhoeME, he 'stood her up' because he called the restaurant and not her. Fair enough, I agree... but was she not just about to do the same thing? If she was already late for the date and about to call him/the restaurant to tell them she's not coming, she HAS stood him up already, no? That's just one example of how stupid the writing became on the show. Maybe at one point I did find that scenario funny, but now I just think, 'If I met you in real life, you would really do my head in!' In terms of the seasons, I really can't stand Season 6. I'm not 100% sure why but I think it must be because of factors such as my example above. That and the combination of too many negative/disagreeable factors makes me wish I could skip the whole season i.e. Paige's yellow hair; Phoebe's crap pixie cut; the sisters not looking or acting like sisters anymore; Leo abandoning his family and then hanging around the house anyway; protecting King Wyatt; hired-for-his-looks Drew and his whining voice; Phoebe and Spencer Ricks; exploding power and potions-throwing galore; Phoebe's bag of tricks empathy; premonitions go missing; Phoebe loses her powers; Magic School; Gideon, the moustache-twirling baddie. I could go on and on and bore everyone into a coma... Conversely, my perception of S5 has changed quite a lot. I used to think that it was just as awful as S6, but when you cut out the fairytale episodes from S5 it actually isn't half bad. It's not the season I wanted, but it's a nice, lighter fare, reminscent of S2. Had they used a different finale to 'Oh My Goddess', I would've happily made that the last season. I think when I next do a marathon I'll stop at 'The Day the Magic Died' (hooray, no bloody Jason Dean to contend with) or even 'Necromancing the Stone'. The only problem is I still like S7 and don't mind S8, so would like to find a way in which I could just bypass S6, open to suggestions... Last summer, as every summer, sky tv has planned Charmed, every season, I took the opportunity to download and rewatch them So I discovered that Charmed is one of the few series that I rewatch willingly, for many reasons: the dialogues, never ordinary, for many of the plots and subplots, original and interesting, for affection Seeing that I feel the sisters as old friends, from which I'ld never expect perfection, I also accept the Seven Dwarfs, as I accepted the world of Oz in Supernatural, a serie by now increasingly tired But with Elsa0s arrival in Once Upon a Time I definitely gave up on the series and it was only a matter of time, the protagonists wasn't able to arouse any emotion Season 5 is light and pleasing and, IMO, also season 6 is likeable I don't care of the sisters's color or hair cut, the conversation between Phoebe and Paige at the start of Valhalley of the Dolls is needed to upset Chris Chris lost mother and aunts since eight years,he has their reverential memory typical of the teens, he certainly thought, going back in time, to see his mother and aunts as the forty-year-old who he remembers, not girls chatting of their dates Phoebe: Huh! He stood me up. Chris: Wait, weren't you just calling to cancel on him? Phoebe: Yeah, but I called him. That's cancelling. He called the restaurant. That's standing up. (Paige nods in agreement. Chris's puzzled and bewildered face is funny, a pefect Marti McFly effect if you look at the season 6 with Chris eyes, you'll see a nice season The identification process matters a lot then : last summer, my husband worked with archaeological groups who were trying to save what they could from the border with Syria, it happened I cannot have news for days While I was watching a few episodes from season six, alone on the couch with the baby monitor, I got along a lot with Piper alone with her baby

Of course I disagree with most of you
There is no tv series in which in every season most of the episodes is worth to be reviewed, even my beloved STNG, which also boasts one of the most beautiful final with "All Good Things"has weak seasons and unsatisfactory episodes
The seasons of Charmed of which I watch few episodes are season 2, 7 and 8, of which I really appreciate Kill Bill Vol 2, Something Wicca This Way Goes and Chick Flick: I look at what I like, my profession is not the television critic and I haven't that much time to spare
If I have to evaluate Charmed characters in their evolution, I appreciate them much more ever since the series is over and I could get an overall picture As in The Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure For Writers,a textbook by Christopher Vogler, Charmed follows the typical structure: an extraordinary event breaks into normal lives, (The Call to Adventure)there are initial uncertainties, difficulties, then the story unfolds, loves and friendships born, enemies come along, there is a period of fear and rebellion, the protagonists face the greatest challenge and experience death and rebirth Their own personality change and then there is the return to the ordinar world, after choosing whether to return to their world or to carry on to an ultimate destination: at this point, they are very different people, not always more suitable
Charmed follows this structure, the writers'ld do better, ok, anyway it's in the classical parameters and the protagonists have changed
The fresh, bright, young Phoebe, joyful witch, has a wonderful growth as woman until she allows herself to fall in love: the drama with Cole turns Phoebe into a introverted, scared, unenthusiastic woman, exactly the opposite of what she was She'll find her balance slowly through the friendship of people like Drake and Billie, I don't like her but I have to admit that she was able to revitalize Phoebe
Piper is the classic next door girl, shy and insecure, but full of love and wisdom, if she didn't have a good sense of humor, she'ld be characterless: her older sister's death, a lot of family responsibilities - economic and of safety- the concern for her sons turn Piper in a determined woman, sometimes aggressive, sometimes wry, while maintaining and even developing a strong maternal instinct that pour on the whole family, friends included Piper is a constant contradiction, difficult to predict her reactions, the opposite of reliable middle sister that she was
Prue dies soon but her character was acquiring the features of a leader, she was becoming more determined, even more free from her sense of duty as older sister
Paige is a problem, she is a character who swings between Prue's grit and Phoebe's lightheartedness, she is not at ease in her various works, nor as a social worker nor as a teacher, maybe she is an artist: thrown into the magical world suddenly, turned into the baby sister suddenly, she'ld have to be "the girl who flees"the one who rebels against her new role and slowly accept to give up on her world I like Paige, she is a nice and sensitive character, but it would have been better if they had also given her a chance of development
I feel as Nathan about Once Upon a Time, I actually stopped watching I failed to get attached to the characters, I liked only Hook, all the others were too stereotyped and especially Emma, I wasn't able to like her

I was loving him since my childhood, my parents listened to his music, they took part the Glastonbury Festival 15 years ago especially for him My dad made me also know the graphic novel Lucifer Morningstar, by Mike Carey, I followed it with passion: Lucifer had the face and androgynous figure of David Bowie
Maybe the abused words "he has left this earth" really make sense. Maybe he really was an alien or maybe a demon visiting our Earth as Lucifer. We'll miss him

I agree with this kind of vision even if I think that their existance was their destiny, being the most powerful witches, in the prophecy there is no mention of obligations or battles to face, only that usually good witches help the innocents
The empathy can arise from the bonding that could born seeing the future or the past of a person, I think it was a power suitable for Phoebe It wasn't for Prue and I think that Cole's dirty trick was the strongest attack launched against Prue, so strong to destabilize her, the first step towards the tiredness and tension that will lead her to make mistakes and being killed

If that were true then would it mean that the Elders mightn't have known about the original Charmed Ones when they were younger then till their powers were unbound because if they did do then shouldn't they have known about Paige to? I mean Gideon said he knew them unless he was the only Elder to do so then or whatever. Just curious and whatnot. The Elders would've known about the Halliwells becoming the Charmed Ones because their powers weren't bound when they were young - just like Evil would've. I'm certain that Grams bound Paige's powers, too, as a baby, which kept her off both radar. But since Grams would have no way of knowing that she had whitelighter powers, she wouldn't have bound anything since Paige had no witch powers - her so-called "hybrid power" is actually a whitelighter power, but her power to move things with her mind, which is what allowed her to help reconstitute the Charmed Ones. Instead the binding kept both the demons and the Elders from finding out about her - the only reason I can come up with where neither side knew about her. I think the Elders'ld have considered Patty's girls as potential Charmed Ones, after all others three sisters'ld have be born in the family Without the To Cal A Witch spell, no one 'ld have imagined Paige's existance

Our culture judges free willy as a fact, it's normal that none of the sisters had never even suspected that this was the Avatars's purpose
Everything is related to the interpretation of the vision that Kyra inspires in Phoebe
Witchness Protection Seer: She's seeing Utopia. No demons. Beyond good and evil
The sisters think of a world without demons as individuals, not of a world where there is no evil and a world without demons is not an advantage only for the sisters but for all They were the demons who attacked the sisters, killed Andy and Prue, witches and innocents: eliminate,as Piper said, 6/7 upper lever demons to allow avatars to have the tranquility to accomplish the transformation doesn't seem a high price if is the prize for a safer world
As for the Avatars, they realize the world which they think it'ld be the best fo humanity
The term avatar refers to Shiva and Hinduism but remember that the authors have often made clear that, fearing to offend the various religious beliefs, they have consciously chosen to be vague in the references and avatar has long been a term used on the web The reference to ancient Egypt is not wrong: first of the worship of the Sun,it was a common religion - traces of which remain in the cult of Isis - who believed in predestination of the persons and in their submission to the will of the gods In a tomb in the Valley of the Kings, the inscription invokes the curse of those who believe that men'ld determine their fate
Like the ancient Egyptian gods, the Avatars believe that humanity would live better without having to forge a destiny, choice inconceivable for me but not, for example, for the mother of a kindergarten friend of my twins, she strongly believes that free will is the worst blasphemy that one can express

There are different powers that are extrinsic, not inheritable, in Charmed: the power of the gods kept under lock by the Elders - in the fifth season, the power of the Elders, the power of the Source
In Witches in Thigts the concept of transfer of power is very clear:
Leo: Uh, Ramus is retiring. He came down to pass on his powers to a new Elder. Piper: So... Leo: So? There isn't a demon alive who wouldn't love to have his powers. So the Elders want you to protect him in case there's an attack. Paige: Why can't he just orb out? Ramus: Because my powers are mental, young lady, not physical. You'd think a charge of yours would know something as basic as that.
Kevin: What, what just happened? Phoebe: Looks like Ramus was able to pass his powers onto the new Elder after all. Paige: An Elder? He's only thirteen. Leo: Elders are like kings. They can be any age.
Thirteen and alive, and yet able to absorb Elders powers, Kevin becomes an Elder, he is not possessed by an Elder
The demons battle to conquer the absolute evil power, as we saw in season four
Charmed and Dangerous
Cole: He doesn't work for the Source, Phoebe, he is the Source. His face was disfigured in the battle that brought him to power
He fought, conquered the power of the Source, swore on the Grimoire, banned the vampires, exterminated the wizards, imprisoned Zankou, who obviously had, at the same time.fought for that power When, in Desperate Housewitches, he is exhumed by Mandy - or rather,by Wyatt - he is just a powerful demon, no longer the Source, the powers of the Source were released, or destroyed, in Womb Rider, by the combined action between the Power of Three and those of Phoebe's baby
The powers of the Gods, the Elders, the Source, are all primary source of power communicable to anyone who comes into their possession, magic or not magic, good or bad, but, mostly, are powers that infect if you don't have the spiritual strength to control them
Oh My Goddness
Paige: Okay, even if we do find her, how are we gonna get her back? She's on this major power trip. She destroyed the Titans, not even the Greek gods could do that. Chris: We've just gotta hope she has some humanity still left inside
The stronger is the power assimilated, less easy it's to control it
For this reason I believe that in the beginning, the Elders were more tied to spiritual powers, as Ramus said when he placed himself under sisters's protection; after the Titans's attack, they tapped the physical powers that give them the opportunity to defend themselves and that changes their pacific nature, they were not suited to handle aggressive powers, while the Charmed Ones were able, for a limited time to manage the powers of the Gods, and Belthazor, not the Seer, those of the Source
Cole was not, possessed, I agree with Es, I like Cole, he isn't a pitful puppet!

Omniscient and good? I'ld not so sure
In the first seasons the Elders know nothing about a lot of things, first of all the Triad Their greatest quality is being invisible, their task'ld be to support the witch, not give orders or promise retaliation They aren't gods or angels or something like that, only magical beings living aloof from the world and these were supposed to be instead of turning into a kind of politicians who share the cake with the evil hierarchies
In The Honeymoon's Over, Leo mentions a sort of respect to which the Elders would be forced due a sacred bond
Leo: Piper, would you... would you stop running away from me for just one minute and let me explain. (She stops and faces him.) If we got married... (she sighs) look, will you just hear me out please? If we got married, it would be a holy union, something I don't even think my bosses could break apart.
Piper: I don't understand.
Leo: It's really hard to explain. I-I don't really understand how it all works myself, but I know that there are different levels up there, a hierarchy. What I'm trying to say is that I think a holy union goes above their heads. It'd be like running an end run to my bosses bosses.
As the Source, as always the Elders do not seem to have great knowledge about him and his powers

Easy, the next generation would be formed only by Wyatt and Chris
Piper has her own restaurant and hopes to become a grandmother, sooner or later Phoebe became a writer of fairy tales in which she speaks of magic - I cannot imagine my carefree Phoebe that deals al her life with love, what a bore! - her three daughters are simple witches, all empathic, the oldest is an ace in the potions and studies as chef - Aunt Piper is so happy for this
Paige works part time as a social worker, her twins have only the power of healing and want to become photojournalists ( Paige is so happy that they cannot orb in war theaters dreaming of a Pulitzer!), little Henry is adopted so has no powers but potions fascinates him
They are living in SanFran and appear sometimes, as guest stars
As in Destined, Wyatt and Chris live elsewhere
Here I refer to the project of a fan of a French website that no longer exists, I liked the idea
Chris loves being a witch, he has the powers of season 6 Chris (half Elder doesn't mean anything, the Elders are whitelighters genetically, the powers which they can acquire are like the Source's, something not inheritable) he isn't able to cook a fried egg (why he has always to be good at cooking in fanfic?) studies anthropology and deals with minorities and different cultures
Wyatt: in Imaginary Friend, Wyatt remains on the sidelines letting Piper and Phobe manage alone, only when the situation becomes dangerous, he acts Wyatt has the fire power of his mother, the other abilities originate from his ability to manipulate magic like a living Book of Shadows Leo has taught him that the great powers have to be used wisely or they can overwhelm those who utilize them as happened to the ancient gods and it was going to happen to his mother: for this reason, Wyatt uses magic the least possible, carefully, frightened by the risk of turning into a mad all-powerful tyrant He lives with his brother,he is a computer nerd, much appreciated, and he is good at defrosting junk food
During his adolescence, the magic has caused the deaths of two dear friends, this is the reason why he chose to study in college away from home and is very secretive, unlike his fun-loving brother
Two brothers as in Supernatural, but with a mix of comedy and action, focused more on saving innocent than hunting demons and demons more on the style of the Brotherhood, involved in society, in the economy, in the real world
I don't say to kill all their girlfriends but it would be better not to stick regular girlfriends at them
From the past I'ld dig up Bianca ( I'ld like she was a cop), Tyler, Kevin who step down from his Elder state and Derek with his hybrid son

I am still convinced that the death of many Elders by the Titans changed some things Up There The survivors may have decided to acquire more powers - the powers ruin those who are not destined to have them, as Dr. Williamson - a more active role and even expanded the power of magical creatures like Cleaners

Hard to say, its something I'm not that interested in. I'd settle for a reboot than fixing the crap Kern left the show in. For a next generations show to work it has to ignore forever charmed. Not necessarily My brother studied cinematography, I read an essay in which they talked of the most absurd way to recover a character - soap operas are amazing- and the trophy was given to Dallas, with the return of Bobby dead for years, coming out of the shower and tellinh his wife: do not ask me anything Forever Charmed was a dream Piper, tired and devastate, falls asleep and dreams, dreams about how to take back her sisters and dreams of a peaceful future, even with the little Melinda she knew in a deleted reality Only a dream When she awakes, full of hope looks for Coop, but she discovers that Coop ring doesn’t have that kind of power, you can only travel between past emotions without being able to interfere The problems are many, the Manor no longer exists, the police conduct an inquiry against Billie, Darryl returns to help Piper, the Agent Murphy tries to hide the truth Leo and Victor face the situation, Piper is not able to do it, she is focused only on the return to the past: how did it Chris? Why she has never asked him? And Cole, who could move between different planes? What would she do? It would be a good way to restart among the chaos of a present that Piper doesn’t want to live and the search for a way to change events, more sensible and less hurried than in Forever Charmed, starting with the more logical request for help: to Prue Piper and Prue in search of their lost sisters, Leo, Victor, Henry with an active role, only two children and maybe Coop on the sidelines: it might work
