If the protagonists of Charmed no longer wanted to go on (and it seems normal after eight seasons) it's clear that to keep alive the Charmed world was necessary to identify new characters
I'ld like Christy: a powerful witch, raised by demons, designed to knock off the most powerful witches ever seen, cold and determined as she appeared in the eighth season, it was a good idea I can easily imagine her, instead of Wyatt, proclaiming "It's alla about the power"
The big mistake, IMO, was how they described Bille's character, so naive and sugary and chirpy to get on my nerves just she appeared They'ld do better to propose, as a "good"sister a Prue style girl, a young womanl who had had a normal life, who loved being a witch, determined to protect the innocents fromher sister and at the same time to save her The production imposed the wrong actress, currently I am seeing her in The Big Bang Theory, that role fits her best
It's a shame, Billie's character, a young witch who grows with the Charmed Ones, is trained by them, lives with Piper and children and eventually kills her sister, would have been quite a character

I think any job has its stressful elements. Paige was good at what she did. And the premise of the show was about three sisters who battle demons and balance being 21st century woman as well. Of course, that job was her dream. The writers kept changing things for no reason. Piper gets a club not a restaurant in season 2, due to WB pressure for musical guests. Paige quits her job for such stupid reasons for story. Phoebe becomes an advise columnist, with her degree she could of been a councilor for young kids who she could help and relate too given her past or something similar, the bay mirror was my least favorite job of all sisters. The writers sadly didn't give the sisters the jobs right or made off changes. I agree about the restaurant for Piper, the love for cooking is part of her character as the heart of the family Instead I think Phoebe's job was suitable for her, it allowed her to help people having a great freedom of time, fundamental to a witch, especially thinking about all the problems that Prue had As for Paige, being fickle is part of her temper: during the different seasons we found that she loved to paint, she loved to sing, she was fascinated by the teaching but all the paper and the administrative work bored her, also in her job as assistant social worker she had difficulties coping with work schedules Only being a witch is the task that she is able to love with constancy perhaps the photographer's work, as a freelancer, was suitable for her as it was for Prue

Holly, Alyssa and Shannen had a 4 season contract, does that mean it was only supposed to have lasted 4 seasons and then end? The seasons are planned but not always they are respected: Supernatural had a story for five seasons if it all went well, now they are broadcasting the eleventh, others are closed after a season So, about the actresses four seasons contract , I thin that sneaking suspicions are useless

A promise: I don't care to make the list of good and bad
I wrote it several times, I repeat: if Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Paige had been devoted and focused only in saving innocent, good and perfect heroines, I'ld never watch Charmed Instead, everyone'ld feel in sync with unpretentious and lively young women, that could have been our friends, dealing with the discovery of supernatural powers
A while ago, at the Locarno film festival I followed an interesting debate about how the writers drafted the characters in TV shows and Alliso Schapker told of the studies of the personality that are the basis of the characters of the sisters
Two examples: -a former alcoholic is often a tense person, frequently he changes jobs and friendships: Paige in fact is constantly looking for something new, painting, singing, social services, tempory jobs, teaching -a traumatic abortion often causes an involution introverted and closed in the character of a woman, Phoebe driftes apart even from magic, after the loss of her child
The three sisters' personality follows classical patterns: Prue, forced into a role of responsibility from an early age, developed a resolved and sometimes reckless nature, Phoebe, almost isolated from her sisters because of her younger age, develops an insecure and rebellious character, Piper is forced into a mediator role that evolves in the characteristics of the family woman, love for the kitchen and tendency to justify
I especially appreciate Piper because being a witch is not in her nature and wills: shelooks like Andy, Dan, she wishes a life in which love, children, work, friendship harmonize with calmness, she doesn't have the attitudeg more adventurous - Phoebe- or ambitious - Prue- of her sisters As she says in I forget which episode, complaining and worrying are her quiet way to rebel against a life that accepts with responsibility but of which she'ld do without The long prologue was to emphasize that, seeing them as normal women, I appreciate flaws and small egoisms, ridiculous in front of the incessant risk to which their lives are subjected So if Prue threatens a bully, Paige helps a friend using magic, Phoebe and Piper behave as Circe -often I also dream to turn some journalists into rats- I don't care and I am not indignant, they'ld serenely use their magic, just better do not be exposed
I like Cole, but the Cole half man, half demon, not the holy picture of a man who wanted so strongly being good but because of the sisters failed
For many years Cole lived very well in the demonic world, acquiring fame and respect: when he realizes he cannot kill Phoebe, he plays in advance and eliminates the Triad, knowing full well that he'ld pay his failure - Rex docet At this point he has two choices: to disappear for a while, be helpful to the Source when he'ld have the opportunity and be forgiven, forgetting Phoebe or switch on the side of the humans, living in their society with Phoebe He chooses Phoebe and chooses to be more Cole and less Belthazor, because being Belthazor it means to have a perception of reality more free, that would brings him to upset laws and human taboos - both Phoebe and Wyatt say that the charm of evil is the feeling of being able to do anything, freely Cole takes a leap into the unknown out for love but he doesn't really live in human society,he appears next to Phoebe for picnic or romantic evenings, or helps the sisters in their battles, but he is out of a social context nor is interested about it
The speech on the Source has already been thrashed out: IMO, the Source's powers are absorbed as those of Elders or the Gods, like all the very powers they are dangerous but cannot posses a person and the centennial Cole'ld know how they work: in fact he is ready to get rid of them when he realizes that Phoebe has finally discovered the truth
You assert tha Phoebe broke their relationship because he had become the Source but this is not true, Phoebe never scolded Cole for what he has done, not only that, she seems to think that he was possessed, effectively she is fully convinced of having freed and giving him peace But Phoebe's decision to close forever, however painful it may be, borns because she never wants to live what she lived and it seems a powerful reason
Neither Phoebe nor Piper - in the Seven Years Witch Piper speaks only of her unborn nephew- criticize Cole of being the Source, Phoebe doesn't say a word on the child obtained by deception and drugged with his consent, showing great generosity Phoebe, like every woman has every right to say enough
Once he understands that Phoebe'll not return with him, Cole's interest in the human world disappears, because it existed only in Phoebe's function, and here the real drama borns Cole has no more home, has betrayed the demonic world killing the Triad, has failed as a Source
He might try to stay human, living without powers, to be a lawyer seriously, look for the descendants of his family to have a new purpose, let the time pass by maybe trying one day to become a friend of the sisters, but his purpose was only Phoebe, without her he cares for nothing
The most beautiful and serious exchange between Cole and Phoebe happens in the episode of the Siren, when he understands and agrees with her fears Yet, even after having tried to strangle her, he manages to get Phoebe's attention, it's only after uselessly killing Miller and the prospect to use Mller's blackmail to make up a new adventure with Phoebe, that he realizes that their love story is finished
This awareness leads to an understandable collapse in a man who has lost everything but this cannot mean that Phoebe'ls have the duty to return with him maybe to keep him trying to kill Paige or kills an innocent because Paige was accused, it'ld be really an illogical claim"

Last night, too much coffee, it was difficult to sleep, TV may send me to sleep vey well - and I saw Morality Bites I never noticed before but the opening credits are featuring only the Charmed Ones, a very clear indication of how the whole episode revolves around the importance of their relationship I re watched thinking of many things discussed here and this made me to value more the episode The inconsistency of the link from playing a small prank on a rude man to a murder, had always affected a very interesting episode I can accept the excess of moralism but in this case it was running into the ridiculous Instead, itwas very nice to see the Charmed Ones in the full of their powers, Prue that destroys the attic, Piper freezing an entire neighborhood, Phoebe evidently unable to hold off her empathetic power, but she too so powerful Those were the Charmed Ones whose growth scares the Triad, worries Tempus, it's easier to understand the anxiety to eliminate those young witches to their first steps In Morality Bites we see what oracles and clairvoyants were seeing in the future, putting the entire evil world in alarm Above all we see the loneliness in which the sisters sunk: Piper alone with her daughter in the Manor that looks unkempt, dusty, Prue turned into a wealthy workaholic businesswoman Phoebe clearly alone, unable to control her power to channel people's feelings Powerful and alone, unnecessarily powerful without the strength and the grace of their bond But, since that is the original timeline, what happens after the Charmed Ones came back? What really happened? The Prue and Piper to the original timeline where they were in the meantime? The 1999's Charmed Ones really did the events seen or, time paradox, coming back, they left 2009 in the same moment they arrived? Maybe Prue and Piper of 2009 were able to run away with Phoebe, as I hoped, and disappeared to start a new life elsewhere? I didn't understand very well what you mean: do you believe that when the Charmed Ones of 1999 came back to their time, the time rewound itself till the istant in which Piper wakes up on the couch? In this case, Piper and Prue of 2009 know nothing about what happened and put into practise their plans to make escape Phoebe from the jail, it's right?

Arnon was a demon who wanted Elders powers,if Elders's powers may be transferred to a human guy, even a demon'ld steal and absorbing them, a mental power is neutral, can be used for good or for evil
Witches In Tight
Leo: So? There isn't a demon alive who wouldn't love to have his powers. So the Elders want you to protect him in case there's an attack. Paige: Why can't he just orb out? Ramus: Because my powers are mental, young lady, not physical
By chance on Sci Fi there are broadcasting the episode a while ago and I found that Arnon is none other than a Crowley younger and thinner!

I agree with what you wrote Charmed world is filled with powers that go beyond the sisters and their world
The Titans were primordial forces of the universe before the intervention of the Olympian Gods, who brought order, ther symbolized he wild force of nature difficult to limit, they avoid any definition of good or bad Zeus himself, as a Konos's son, is a Titan and the Olympians are too complex to be hastily put into the categories of good and bad
Ditto for the angels, of the Death and of Destiny: what role and what power they have is hard to understand, but the Angel of Destiny of the season eight does not seem to be an example of kindness Instead of ordering Leo's death, she might deign to send a vision to Phoebe, for example
Entering the demonic world, the Sorce's power is out of discussion It's not known since the crowned demon held that power, definitely too much time seein the hysterical reaction to any challenge to his authority
The Source had imprisoned Zankou, not the Triad or the Thorn Brotherhood, this means that they didn't in any way threaten his power, maybe they were good vassals or enjoyed an independence conquered at the time of the battle for the Souce's power that Cole mentioned, certainly neither the Brotherhood nor the Traid were interested in upsetting the balance The Triad, as ways of acting, seems more like the Elders that other up level demons: it's not clear what kind of powers they had, but they seem to see beyond time as well demonstrated by the smart Christy's kidnapping
Only on one thing all the demonic world seems to agree: The Charmed Ones must be destroyed before they enter fully into their powers, adding to the stunning capabilities of the Power of Three to control the magic with spells that only they can pronounce, their personal powers
Prue added astral projection to her power, not yet developed in all its potential - see Morality Bites -of telekinesis Piper added fire power to her power, not yet developed in all its potential - see Morality Bites - to freeze time Phoebe had not yet obtained her empathetic power, a slow power to develop due to the difficulty that requires learning to feel, to manage emotions and even to channel, turning them into an offensive power, a terrible power, once well developped The Charmed Ones'ld be unbeatable
Prue's death not only weakens the sisters - Paige'll never be powerful as Prue - but also breaks a balance of which Phoebe, most of all, needed, frustating her growth as a witch
Only in this context, Billie and Christy'ld aspire to be dangerous

I have often written that time was a decisive factor in the relationship between Cole and Phoebe, if their story was grown without the Sorce's threat, it'ld be different, maybe it'ld also be over, for many other reasons
Leo instead needed no time, Leo was a young man of the 30s, a human raised and educated in a normal family, to turn human again it was simply the gift to have a second life after having sacrificed his ina so young age: he had a family, a wife and two kids, it'ld have adjustment or family problems, all solvable
Made this distinction, I find very fascinating Cole's character, because of the risk that assumes becoming the Source consciously, if I believed in a poor Cole falling into a trap and then possessed, I'ld find Cole's character silly and dumb
Could Cole become good? Of course Cole'ld become anything he wanted but it'sn't a question of good or bad but of the understanding and acceptance of the rules, then you can break if you think it'ld be right, but first you need to understand its meaning
His chance is in Witches In Tights
Although Phoebe has firmly decided not to get involved with him, she fails to do so - a weakness that certainly worries her - and although she isn't a journalist, she pleases him agreeing to write about Edward Miller When Miller threatens to reveal the truth about Phoebe, Cole has a wonderful chance; he can work out with Phoebe a plan to recover the tape, he can start a kind of partnership with her, to persuade her they'ld be friends and fellows But he wastes it, not because he is a demon but because in his scale of values with such a person he has not to lose time, it's more quick to delete him
Maybe this is then that he realizes he lost also the last chance to relationship with Phoebe and began his madness, fueled by the enormous powers that he owns

But from where it comes this concept of love so if you're in love you have to accept everything from the one you love?
With all the love I have for my husband, if had adulterate my contraceptives to have a child without I was aware and willing to it, he'ld end out of the our home to the speed of a champagne cork

Cole'ld not be suited to turn in an Avatar Cole is a very independent person, in fact,he is part of the Thorn Brotherhood but he doesn't live and work with them, agrees to work for the Triad, but doesn't hesitate to attack and eliminate them, he has a vision of the world that cannot suit to the collective group of th Avatars
A for the void between life and death ... when he is vanquished in the alternate reality Cole is again himself, Cole / Belthazor, so it'ld be because of his human half he was trapped in that strange dimension, really strange given that Drake is able to see him and to talk with him
The Seven Year Witch
Drake: Thanks. So did you. I couldn’t have tasted life unless you set me up with that sorcerer. I just wish I could save you, too. Cole: I’ve come to terms with my fate, especially now that I know it won’t be Phoebe’s, too. Drake: So that was a pretty bold move sending in those thorn demons. Cole: Well, I had to risk everything for this one
To be trapped, he owns great movement skills,he meets Drake,he gives him the right contacts, organizes the demons..una very intriguing dimension

Tell me about it. I can' t understand this line of thinking myself. Seems that there are some here that think that the Charmed Ones can do no wrong, despite evidence to the contrary (like Phoebe and Paige setting up Rick to be murdered, for example). These people are so in love with the sisters that they are blind to the flawed characters the sisters became in the later seasons. I'm with you on this one, Ljones. I thought this was a democratic site, not The Central Committee of a party with the democratic centralist rule I cannot think that Cole was possessed and so? Is it forbidden? Am I allowed to think what I want? Apart from all the things already written, the Es analysis, the fact that if he was posesed he'ld never decide to give in his powers to the Wizard, apart from all this, if I believed Cole possessed, I'ld be compelled to judge him an idiot, a great idiot Anyway, this is my opinion and I'ld like to be respected, just as I respect the opinion of those who are convinced of possession You have a great passion for Rex and Hannah, I count Hannah as a silly character, Rex is not bad even if I don't think of him as a so interesting character, but I respect your interest in them and I don't rush, every time you write about them, to tell you how and why I don't care about them So I don't care of "the flawed characters the sisters became in the later seasons" I like the people full of flaws, not everyone is virtuous like you, I am not Don't rack your brains about why these sisters so full of flaws at this time, in my country, are in rerun in three separate channels (while Buffy disappeared since four years),agree that the world is full of mysteries and let me express my point of view without burst into indignation

John Dalberg-Acton belongs to the world of political thought, I was speaking of the literary tradition, which starts from the legend, crosses over the tale, follows the chivalrous poetry by Sicilian troubadours onwards and it's beautifully summed up in the Lord of the Rings: the human being is likely to be corrupted by exaggerated magical powers
The powers are neutral: Leo fears that the power of the gods can overwhelm the sisters, demons try to steal the power of Elders that relinquishes his status, Crone had probably an hidden agenda about Wyat's power such as the Seer with Phoebe's baby The Source's powers are extreme powers, the oath on the Grimoire is symbolic, the demonic personality makes demonic powers As in Lord of the Rings: the wise kings of the Elves'ld use the Ring to do wonderful things, to save and protect their kingdoms but sooner or later the thirst for supremacy'ld infect them
I agree, and in fact I wrote it, that Cole's love for Phoebe is a powerful motivation to accept Seer's plan I think that also the desire to be reunited with himself, or with his powers, is a powerful incentive, and I don't believe it's a question of good or bad, I don't care, I think it was a big mistake to think that Cole would cut off part of himself
When he dreamed a life free of powers to spend quietly with his Phoebe, Cole had no idea what it meant:too late he discovers that the reality is very tough It's no accident that the writers insert two small scenes that would seem unnecessary: Cole that goes away for a long time because he doesn't know how long and tiring is a walk, Cole that takes a pan from the oven without protection because he doesn't know it burns
Black as Cole Cole: For all intensive purposes I've been a demon for over a hundred years, it's all I've ever know. Or Been. What am I supposed to do now? Who am I?
He was living a painful and difficult existential crisis
Anyway, Cole is not possessed and it's clear when he chooses to give up his powers
This is the highest moment of Cole as enamored man because he knows, he knows now, how exhausting life as a simple human being may be but he is ready to do it rather than lose Phoebe and the baby Ready to normality, ready to raise his kid as a witch, ready to go out in the morning without a Porsche waiting for him and ready to see his wife full of bruising for a punch up with demons
A great gesture of love
Phoebe behaves the same way: she is aware it's crazy, sure enough she tells her sisters nothing, she knows that is wrong but she thinks to be ready for anything and to accept everything to save her husband and her son She throws out of the window all her life without thinking, the same Cole's great gesture of love
Clearly, if maybe, just maybe, Cole'ld adapt himself to a human life, Phoebe isn't able to adapt herself to the life on the evil side, she tries improbable balances and the she surrenders But Cole and Phoebe make the same gesture moved by the same love, and at this point Phoebe understands how dangerous could be a love that makes you deny yourself
I don't rack my brains about guilt, morality, who is good or who is bad: Cole and Phoebe's love story is beautiful precisely because it's a story full of mistakes, selflessnesss, nonsenses like any passionate love story

We have a very different sense of humor, I didn't want to be fun Simply I don't understand the need to talk about Rex and his girlfriend in contexts in which we are talking about others arguments, as the Source and Phoebe's premonitions
Always the same panegyric, by the way, all in Charmed can be despised except those two
You should be the first to understand it given the accuracy with which you chew who overrun the subject out

No, it wasn't. The essence of the Source went with him to the Demonic Wasteland - that is obvious since it was *that* Source who we saw return in S8 - the Hollow only absorbs powers, not essences, and it was those powers that went into Cole. He was never possessed - he just gave into the powers when they went into him because he'd rather be evil and powerful than good and powerless. If that wasn't the case, he would've/should've told the sisters so they could take the powers/essence out of him. He never did. He didn't want to be good - he just wanted Phoebe. Everything he did and everything that happened to him was his own fault, just like everything she did and everything that happened to her was Phoebe's fault, even if Little Miss Itsnevermyfault could never admit that and had to find someone to blame, so she blamed Cole. You say that as if it were a simple acquiescence of wills and morality which he was almost enthused to receive. If he had absolutely no yearning to become good then his subconscience wouldn't be actively projecting this separation of personalities. By your own admission, it was as if he were suffering from dissociative personality disorder, implying that he couldn't bear to handle the suffering he inflicted onto others, which means that he must not be the heartless sociopath who single-mindedly only cares for himself and Phoebe that some people describe him as being. This hearkens back to what I said about his interaction with Phoebe in "Bride and Gloom". If he was truly just interested in having Phoebe to himself without the shackles of changing his way of his life then he would have shimmered out of that room with his love on his arm. Lord knows she probably wouldn't have objected given how callous she became towards her sisters and people in general as a result of Dantalian's spell. Then there's his gesture in "Death takes a Halliwell" when he stopped Prue from needlessly torturing the Seekers, and this was right after they had gotten done trying to kill him. I don't believe people give Cole enough credit. Him changing his ways wasn't a farce. He made a genuine effort to do better that extended past wanting to appease Phoebe. The man even sacrificed his long sought after father for her and that was the whole reason for going after the Charmed Ones in the first place which everyone always seems to forget because it would imply that the sisters and their binary approach to morality is flawed. Cole is the more complex Charmed's demon and male character, for this reason he attracts and feeds talks And for this reason I cannot accept the idea of possession: he lived nearly 100 years as demon,he knows the battle in which a nameless demon conquered Source's powers, can not fail to understand that those powers are going to fill the void left by Belthazor's powers If he didn't know it,he'ld be an idiot and Cole is anything but an idiot Since his first appearance we saw he was different from the others, he used being independent and play the game according to his schemes:he remembered Hannibal Smith of the A team, I expected he put a cigar in his mouth saying: I love it When a plan comes together I think he was aware of what involved Seer's offer but he had two good reasons to take risks: -He loves Phoebe and wants to protect her He wants his powers back, why not those of the Source? He'ld know how to control them, he'ld control the whole Underworld, he has already a good plan in his mind, Phoebe would be safe, and also her sisters Cole cannot exist without Belthazor, the loss of power, good idea in theory, is untenable in practice, how could he, after having been for so many decades estimated and powerful and feared, agree to be busy with the maintenance of a car while his wife is fighting? In addition, Cole makes a field choice for love and necessity The action by which Cole gets rid of the Triad is impulsive, full of anger, is a gesture of breaking with the demonic world Cole moves to the other side of the chessboard, once he was with blacks, now he is with the whites but his rules of engagement are those of blacks, those which he understands and with which he was educate His whole new world revolves around Phoebe and her sisters, but it is a world arduous to live and to understand Cole takes a risk consciously, a common trait between Cole and Belthazor is a great self-confidence Source' powers are like the Goddesses' powers: huge, hard to handle Oh My GoddessLeo: Are you ready? Paige: Just get it out of me. (Leo lifts the lid of the urn and Paige's god powers return to it.) Leo: How do you feel? Paige: Phew. Free. Great powers corrupt, it's a theme that runs through all of Western Literature, is the main theme of the Lord of the Rings: certain powers are a too strong temptation, Galandriel refused Frodo's offer when he wished she was the Keeper of the Ring Cole has a bold nature,as the arrogant mercenary he was and maybe he didn't read a lot, not as Drake: he takes the risk Paige and Phoebe and Piper manage to leave those dangerous powers thanks to their humanity, Cole is half human, that is the part that struggle for Phoebe but Bethazor enjoys the freedom that those powers involv Bride and GloomPhoebe: Well, I gotta admit it, it was kind of fun. Piper: Phoebe... Phoebe: Well, it was fun for a while. I mean, to be able to do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted with no consequences. Imaginary FriendsFuture Wyatt: Ah. I just feel so free. I can’t believe I spent a whole other lifetime weighed down by the repressive morality by all that good. The demonic powers have great attraction and they are part of Cole I believe that the initial answers misplaced: it's not a question of fault,it's nobody's fault A series of events put Cole in front of a choice, he consciously accepts a risk and when he realises he was wrong, he opts for getting rid of those powers:if he was possessed he'ld not do it Phoebe makes an equally serious mistake, she doesn't see that the Seer is playing her along Cole gets wrong for too much self-confidence, Phoebe gets wrong for too much insecurity: these are mistakes, not faults

In fact the situation you described would be a good solution
They'ld brought Paige up at end of the season, recreating the Power of Three with two sisters who had managed to reinvent themselves after the death of their big siters, their guide, their rock
Cole who blames Paige of ruining everything is very, very human, he gets with honors into the category of men inable to do self-criticism as if he had been raised by a human mom

I agree, Avatars were the creator of their fake reality, they had the power to call off what they did, so they could bring back Kyle, even though I was very happy they didn't ! I agree also with Erika, to rewind the time is a Tempus privilege, Avatar are more powerful,in a more complex way: they, as the Avatara, emanations of Vishnu in the form of cosmic officer, to make Utopia intervened on mind structure of people, to generate a docile humanity But they weren't able to rewind time for Cole, to send him before Paige went to Prue funeral, they simply opened the door to a parallel reality, where Paige had died but Cole was the Source and being the Source was the cause ofhis problems with Phoebe, not Paige Very good point, Sol. The Avatars didn't really rewind time at all for Cole, but merely created an alternate timeline. I suppose you could argue that Cole indadvertently did this himself - perhaps because he was an inexperienced Avatar. Maybe the Elders simply cannot reverse time beyond 24/48 hours? I believe that it was essentially a question of weakness and to bing back Leo, magical creature that was part of the collective, it was certainly easier than trying to retrieve a human The Avatars want Cole for his great power and his invulnerability which is a feature of great relevance for their colective, isn't strange that they helped him to realize a dream from which hardly he'ld then come off? It 's also strange the alternate world where Cole goes into: it isn't a return to the past, otherwise he'ld be in the church with Phoebe to keep her from receiving condolences from Paige It'ld be enough that simple gesture to change things: Paige, that evening, would go on P3 terrace and she'ld be killed by Shax, meanwhile Phoebe and Cole were helping Piper to wash the dishes That's where Cole'ld like to go back, to the best time of his human life The undisputed and distrustful leader of Halliwell is gone, Paige lives elsewhere and is a stranger, the formula two witches and a demon is perfect: there is action, danger, Phoebe is always at his side, Cole is her love, her best friend, her coach He lives in the family, Piper accepted him because she always follow Phobe's heart, Leo accepted him because he always follows the sisters's heart, Piper and Leo'ill establish a form of lasting friendship Those are the days that Cole dreams to have back: having breakfast with Piper's muffins, training Phoebe for the fight, setting strategies with the sisters, a beer and a game on TV with Leo ... Instead he landed in a nightmare world: it'ld be unrealistic not to mistrust that the Avatars created that reality to quickly bring him back to the collective, knowing that otherwise, from the past to which he craved so much, Cole'ld never come out

Phoebe in love for the first time in her life chooses to trust Cole, with some reason, she is aware that if he hadn't forced her out to smooth things over with her sisters probably they'ld be killed Lying to the sisters is difficult for her,she talks to Leo,she confesses the truth to Piper, but Piper has to push her to confess everything to Prue, the only person whose opinion really she fears
Prue seems to have a parental role towards her baby sister, Phoebe knows that she'll always be understood and forgiven by Piper, not just from Prue and Phoebe strongly wants being approved, appreciated by Prue
If Piper and Prue are sisters / best friends, Prue for Phoebe is a kind of father / mother, a complicated relationship I'd like to see grow in the time When Phoebe loses Prue, she loses her critical consciousness and then her great mistakes start

Effectively season 4 was written for Prue Piper Phoebe, in a crescendo of drama that would be the right continuance of season 3 Season four is fit for the characters of the sisters: a tension between sisters born because of an attraction, just an attraction, between Prue and Cole would arouse a weakening of the bond between the sisters, maybe the memory of their non existent relations and the relative consequences in Morality Bites's reality would prevent a break between them but Prue and Phoebe's relations'ld be strained
Prue, faced with Phoebe's decision to share the fate of Cole / Source, would have that is Piper's strong reaction in the readapted season 4, tough against Phoebe, tough against herself as Piper would behave like Paige, trying to see positive signs everywhere, to calm her older sister, to find a way to get back her baby sister
In certain episodes of the fourth season, Prue's character emerges in tha action of one or the other sister, they failed to remove her entirely from the writings Paige, just arrived in the Charmed Ones life, without a real bond with them, newbie in the magical world, clearly plays a role not suited to her character
Furthermore, as Piper's power was growing, it'ld have to grow also Prue's (in Morality Bites wipes out the attic as Wyatt in Imaginary Friend): together, Prue and Piper'ld cause a great match against Phoebe's evil powers
I like season four but I admit that with the real Charmed Ones the season'ld be much more charming

I always thought of Cole, along with Zankou,as the most smart demon of Charmed I wont change my opinion and judge him an idiot who falls into a trivial trap of the Seer: an high-level demon, a 100-year-old big boy, could he not know how the Sorce's powers work?
If he had been possessed he'ld not give his powers to the wizard: unless at that point he was possessed by some cupid
We're Off To See the Wizard
Cole: Fine, but just so we're clear, once you get the Source's powers I never hear from you again. Wizard: Understood. Not that I'm ungrateful, but why are you so willing to do this? Cole: I lost someone I love and I want her back. That's all you need to know. Wizard: Love? The Source can love. Cole: Just keep working.
The Source's powers weren't overcoming Cole but, this is one of the major theme of Charmed - and not only - the too strong powers can become dangerous for those who own them: see Piper as Godness, Wyatt in the alternate future, Christy - she'll even try to kill her sister for the anger of being opposed- Phoebe in Witch Wars, the old Source himself, who loses his mind and frees the Hollow: obsessed, not possessed by the power
In any case, from the moment he fell in love with Phoebe, Cole tends to talk as the human side was distinct from the evil side, as if he was suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder
