This is a fanfiction and the use of the Charmed characters is for entertainment only. This story folloews on the heels of my story "Destiny is a Witch". My series finale had a happy ending but left open many questions. This is about the day after happily ever after...
The next morning in Phoebe's condo, she is moving around getting ready to leave when there is a knock on the door.
Phoebe opened the door to find Coop standing there.
"I said that there was much too much for me to get used to in this reality to talk about us yet," Phoebe said as she stepped out into the hallway and locked the door.
"I don't want to talk about that; I understand that," Coop spoke, "I want to talk about something else."
"Not now," Phoebe was clearly in a rush, "I need to do a lot of catch up at work."
"Didn't it strike you as funny that Paige and Henry got on the same page almost immediately, and Piper and Leo never did?" Coop offered.
Phoebe was walking away down the hall when Coops question stopped her in her tracks.
"No," Phoebe countered as she turned to face Coop, "I didn't even realize it until you said so."
"I did," Coop said, "You know cupid here trained to spot the connections people make or don't make. It's just a cupid feeling thing, that's all."
"Is that all," Phoebe replied, "It doesn't seem like such a big deal to me."
Phoebe walked right past the elevator and down the stairs. She was in to much a rush to wait for the slow thing.
Phoebe stopped in her usual spot to get some coffee which was on the bottom floor of the building where she worked. Jack the owner was in heated discussion near the back with a woman who looked vaguely familiar to Phoebe, but she was turned away talking in hushed tones to Jack. She appeared to get annoyed at Jack and turned away from Jack and towards Phoebe.
Phoebe froze. It was Prue!
Phoebe called out, "Prue?"
Prue looked at her, "Do I know you?"
Phoebe was speachless.
"Have we met before somehow?" Prue asked.
"Prudence Warren," Jack jumped in, "I'd like you to meet a good customer of mine, Phoebe Haliwell."
Prue caught Jack under the arm and ushered him into the back room through some swinging doors. Phoebe just stood there for a few seconds until a barista called her name, "Phoebe, your drink is ready."
Phoebe looked at the drink and went through the swinging doors.
"Hey Phoebe," Jack stopped her, "This area is for emplyees only."
"Where'd Prue go?" Phoebe asked.
"She just left in a hurry," Jack said as he pointed to the back door.

Phoebe just stood there and glared at Jack who just stood there and returned the favor. Finally Phoebe harumphed and spun around on her heels and stormed out of the cafe grabbing her coffee as she went.
When Phoebe got in the elevator all alone, she got out her cell phone to call Coop and then remembered that he doesn't have a cell phone. We'll have to fix that, Phoebe thought to herself. Meanwhile she called both sisters but got voicemail for both of them, so she just left a message for them to call her.
Later that day after Phoebe had talked to both her sisters, Piper agreed to have them over to discuss what if anything should be done about Prue. Before Phoebe went over to Piper's, she returned home to talk to Coop.
Well, she actually didn't make it all the way home. She made it into her parking structure where no one could see her and called Coop.
Coop hearted into her car and looked around and commented, "You couldn't have just come up the elevator to my place?"
"I'm in a rush," Phoebe answered, "I need you to do something for me. I need you to watch the guy who owns the coffeshop in the building where I work decreetly."
"Do you mind telling me why?" Coop asked.
"Not really," Phoebe pleaded, "I need objective eyes on him to tell me if what I think I saw was true." Well, obviously it wasn't the complete truth, but it was the best she could come up with on short notice.
"Sure," Coop answered and was about to heart out when Phoebe stopped him by grabbing his arm.
"Maybe, we should get you a cell phone," Phoebe blurted out, "So we don't always have to call for you the magical way."
"No need," Coop replied, "I already have one as he pulls out a nice new slider. All us modern cupids have one."
"Why didn't you tell me this before?" A shocked Phoebe said.
"You never asked," Coop winked at her.
They both exchanged phone numbers, and Coop hearted out to track down Jack.

It's the middle of the afternoon at the manor, and Piper is in the kitchen talking on the phone when she hears the front door close. She turns quickly to a clock to see that it's not even 3:30 yet, much too early for her sisters to have gotten there.
"I'm going to have to call you back," Piper states as she hangs up the phone and heads into the dining room. When she gets there, she sees Billie Jenkins walking through the foyer towards the sun room.
"Oh, Hi Billie," Piper said suspiciously. Piper, new to this reality didn't want to tip her hat.
"Oh, Hi Piper," Billie said cautiously, "Are the boys alright? Have I done anything wrong?"
"Oh no," Piper answers questioning her own answer, "I was just surprised that's all."
"Uhhh," Billie sighed, "What? What do you mean, surprised?"
"I was on the phone doing business," Piper stated, When my front door opened, that's all." Piper was playing cool as Billie seemed real comfortable being there.
"Sorry, I startled you," Billie said, "But you can go to work. I've got the boys till Leo gets home."
"Oh, that's great," Piper continued, "But today my sisters are coming over for a visit."
"Your sisters?" Billie questioned, "You never see them."
Well, I do now," Piper countered, "The boys might need a snack and Chris has just been changed. I have to make some more phone calls before my sisters get here."
Wyatt and Chris had been playing in the sun room during the whole conversation.

Nice plot. So Piper's lying and no one will find out? Could be interesting.

Editing my third post, it seems a little rushed to me. Finished the edit, tell me what you think.
About an hour later Paige and Phoebe show up at the manor within a few minutes of each other. Right after Piper finished greeting Paige, Phoebe arrived.
Piper lead her sisters into the front where she started the conversation, "You won't believe who I have helping me with the boys."
Phoebe and Paige looked at her blankly, "Billie."
"You mean?" Paige asked.
"Yes, "Piper answered, "And it seems that she's been doing it for months. Wyatt is real familiar with her."
"Do you think it's safe," Paige asked, "Does she have any magic?"
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves," Phoebe stated, "We're not supposed to know anything about magic in this reality."
Paige and Piper both nodded their heads in agreement with Piper.
"That's not all," Phoebe continued, "You'll never believe who I ran into today."
Now it was time for Piper and Paige's blank stares.
"Prue," Phoebe confided, "Only, she didn't know me."
"You mean Prue, our sister," Paige asked.
Phoebe nodded the affirmative.
"And she didn't know you?" Piper completed the question.
Phoebe kept nodding in the affirmative.
"No worries," Phoebe continued her train of thought, "I have Coop out searching for her to see what she's up to."
Phoebe's cell phone began to ring, so she got it out and looked at it, "Speak of the Angel, it's Coop calling."
Phoebe answered her phone, "Yes."
There was a short pause while Phoebe listened to Coop, "He's a what?"
Another pause followed by another outburst, "And he has a whitelighter named Prue,"
Phoebe willed herself to calm down, "Ok, um, just watch them two; I want a full report later."
Phoebe hung up the phone and sat there in disbelief for a few seconds until asked by Paige, "Prue's a whitelighter?"
Phoebe sheepishly nodded her head, "And Jack, the man who I've been buying coffee from since working at the Bay Mirror, is her charge."
Both Paige and Piper tried to ask further questions, but Phoebe cut them off, "That's all I know so far."

Ah yes, Billie's a friend and Prue's a whitelighter, but the owner of the coffeeshop where Phoebe's been getting coffee for over four years is a witch. What other little nuggets did they miss? Piper was at the front door sayiing good bye to her sisters, but Billie is in the foyer with Chris on her hip, and she was eyeing Phoebe. Paige on the other hand was eyeing Billie right back. The looks all around seem more curious than suspiscious, but Billie was half paying attention to Chris so her watching Phoebe wasn't as obvious as Paige's. After Paige and Phoebe left, Piper turned around and announced, "I'm going to the restaurant." Piper went into the closet next to the front door and put on a jacket and followed her sisters out of the house. Billie smirked and turned back to the sunroom and the kids. Leo arrived home a few hours later and walked through the foyer on his way to the kitchen. Wyatt cried out, "Daddy," with glee as Leo passed, but Leo didn't stop till he got in to the kitchen. Wyatt ran over to where Billie was sitting and jumped on her lap, "Daddy's home, Daddy's home," as he bounced up and down on Billie's lap. Billie gave Wyatt a big hug as much to stop him bouncing on her as a show of affection, "I know Wyatt, but you'll just have to wait till he's all the way home as usual." Waytt calmed down and waited for a few seconds before getting off of Billie's lap and resuming his play in the sun room, but he kept one eye on the ding room expecting his Father any moment. About five minutes later Leo emerged from the kitchen and is almost tackled by Wyatt. Chris toddled on over and joined his brother in hugging their Father's legs. "Any trouble?" Leo asked. Billie stood up before answering, "Nope, everthing went just fine." Leo smiled at Billie before giving his full attention to his boys. Billie went to the front room and sat down and got out her cell phone and started texting. A while later, there was a knock on the front door. Billie got up and went and opened the door. Leo poked his head around the corner and nodded at Cole Turner who was sranding in the doorway, "Are you ready to go?" he asked Billie. Cole was wearing a nice suit all buttoned up like a man of importance. Billie pushed Cole out of the doorway so she could exit the house and close the door. Once she accomplished that she gave Cole a hug and whispered in his ear, "They got together today, how did you know?" Cole gently pushed her away and asked, "How do you know?" "Paige and Phoebe came over this afternoon, and they talked quietly for about a half hour." "Is my ex-wife looking good?" Cole asked. Billie playfully slapped Cole in the chest and took a step back. "Jealous, are we?" Cole goaded. "In your dreams, Mister District Attorney," Billie said as she stalked off the porch and down the stairs.

Yeah Chrisa, did you mean that the Charmed Ones were acting suspiciously, but everyone else was acting normal?
It was evening at Phoebe's condo when some one knocked on her door. Phoebe got up from writing on her laptop to go to the door and ask, "Yes, who's there?"
"The boogey man," Answered Coop.
"Not funny," Phoebe answered as she opened the door, "I've met the boogey man, remember."
Coop chuckled slightly and walked into the condo as Phoebe gave him way. Phoebe shut the door and turned to face him.
"I thought you were supposed to be following Jack and Prue." Phoebe asked.
"Jack retired for the night and Prue went to where ever whitelighters go," Coop informed her.
Phoebe smirked at him.
"But, they did have and interesting encounter with Christy Jenkins," Coop continued.
"Do tell," Phoebe prompted him.
"Well, this low level demon was trying to shake down this drug dealer in a shady part of town when Jack and Prue found them. Jack used his power which he and Prue called the Gaze. It operates by Jack looking into the subjects eyes and giving a command. In this case, he told the demon to stop which he did. The drug dealer used this interruption to beat a hasty retreat, but the demon called out 'Kristy', and Kristy appeared. She sized up the situation and through a fireball at Jack and Prue. Prue orbed out, but the fireball hit Jack. Jack didn't even flinch but smiled through the fireball till it dissipated. He let out a sarcastic 'Ow' before gazing into Kristy's eyes and telling her not to attack him. Kristy conjured another fireball but decided not to throw it saying "I'm not throwing it because you said so. I'm not throwing it because it will get us nowhere". Kristy told the demon to run along, and it shimmered out. Kristy smiled at Jack and threw a potion at her feet and disappeared into the smoke."
"So," Phoebe retorted, "Kristy is working with demons, no big surprise there."
"No," Coop spoke, "That's not the surprising thing. It's Jack's power; in Angelic regions, it's called Soulgazing, and it's not a witches power normally."

Also, remember that you are getting the story from the Charmed Ones point of view. So, there are no behind the scenes pov to explain things. Phoebe was in her office reading something on her computer scene when out at her assistant's desk she heard Elise say, "Mister District Attorney, to what do we owe the pleasure of your presence?" "I'm here to talk to my ex-wife," Cole answered. Phoebe quickly got up from her desk and went out to confront Cole, "It's alright Elise. Cole come on into my office, please." Cole followed Phoebe back into her office and closed the door behind himself. After she sat down behind her desk, and he sat down in a chair across from her, he spoke, "You and your sisters really stepped into it this time." Phoebe, quite surprised, answered, "Stepped into what, I haven't seen you in years and you open with that." "Don't play coy with me, Phoebe," Cole continued, "You and your sisters vanquished me to the demonic wasteland, but after I escaped and returned, you were not the Charmed Ones anymore, and your sisters, and you weren't even very close. Talk about returning to wonky world, you even had our marriage annulled while I was missing." Phoebe sank back into her chair but resolved to play it cool, "What are you talking about?" "So, that's how it's going to be," Cole accused, "So then tell me, who is my new girl friend?" "How should I know," Phoebe blurted out before she could stop herself. She knew the moment she said it that she'd just tipped her hat. "Only because you did a whole column on May, September relationships after I took her to a public charity event," Cole smiled at Phoebe knowing that he had caught her. "How did you know to confront me with this today?" Phoebe asked. "You and your sisters were very chummy last night for the first time in four years," Cole answered, "No power of three, no reason for you and your sisters to be as close as you were when you were the Charmed Ones. Just one question, how did you and your sisters rewrite history so that no one knows about the Charmed Ones?" Phoebe pursed her lips and looked away from Cole. "That's what I thought," Cole quipped. "What do you mean?" Phoebe asked. Cole chuckled, "Good-bye, Phoebe, we'll talk more later." With that Cole left her leaving her sitting in her chair deep in thought.

Aha, so no Power of Three and the Charmed Ones are making themselves suspious when they appear so close all of a sudden. Now that explains a lot. lol
Can I ask for more?

My basic assumption is that it is only the Charmed Destiny that bought Paige close to her half sisters, and the only thing that kept them close was fighting demons together.
Phoebe only took a few minutes to think before she called her sisters and arranged another meeting at the Manor in the mid afternoon.

Phoebe arrived at the manor after Paige had already gotten there, so Phoebe started to report on what Coop had seen last night.
"Yeah, Prue is a whitelighter and doesn't even know us," Phoebe confirmed.
"Wow that's a lot to take in," Piper said.
Phoebe continued to fill her sisters in on the meeting with Cole while Billy in the sunroom watching the boys called Cole on her cell phone to inform him that they were meeting again. Not a minute later there was a knock on the door. Billie who was already moving through the front hall answered the door, "Mister District Attorney, what a nice surprise. Piper you've got another visitor."
All three sisters rounded the corner from the front room as Cole stepped in the house, and Billie shut the door.
"Cole, what are you doing here?" Phoebe blurted out.
"I need to talk to you and your sisters," Cole stated.
Phoebe smirked, "Ok, I was just sharing with them about you, so why not?" She threw her hands in the air in frustration and walks back into the front room with a loud sigh.
Both Paige and Piper eyed him with suspision as he passed them on his way to the front room with Phoebe. They both smirked at each other and followed him into the room.
Billie just stood there in the hallway until Cole said, "Billie, I need to talk to the sisters privately."
"Aww, you never let me in on anything good," Billie complained.
"This is personal and between my ex-wife and her sisters," Cole responded.
"We've been going out for almost four months and this is how I find out that you have an ex-wife." Billie said as she stormed down the hall back to the sunroom and the boys.
Phoebe just rolled her eyes. Piper spoke, "A little young for you, don't you say,"
Paige just chuckled quietly to herself as she nodded her head in the affirmative. Somehow she found the Cole, Billie connection amusing.
"What," Cole asked, "We're taking it slow, and she is a very powerful witch in need of guidance from some one with a lot of experience in the magical world."
"So, what did you tell her about yourself?" Paige spoke up for the first time."
"Like I said," Cole replied, "We're taking it slowly."
Cole looked at each of the sisters sternly as if to say subject closed before continuing, "Nice trick changing four years of history and creating a whole new alternate reality, what you didn't like the one you were in?"
Paige ignored his question, "How do you know so much?"
Cole snickered, "I was in the Demonic Wasteland when it happened, and that realm is connected to every possible reality with demons in it. Most realities I cannot get into anymore for one reason or another, but I can see into them."
"That's sick," Phoebe exclaimed, "You've been watching me all these years."
"Not all the time, but I tried to help, remember Drake, I sent him your way, ask your sister, ask Piper."
"What," Phoebe's focus was completely on Piper now.
"Yeah," Piper said sheepishly, "the day that Leo became mortal, and I was in a coma."
"And you're just telling me this now," Phoebe chastised her sister.
"Well, it didn't seem all that important then and then I forgot it until Cole brought it up. I thought it best to let vanquished Coles lie," Piper offered in her defense.
Paige dramatically held her head, "I think I'm getting a headache, do you have any aspirin?"
Cole rolled his eyes at Paige, "You have a headache; since you've been gone these last four years, I have had to take up all the slack to keep all hell from breaking loose."

Ouch. Information overload here. Billie & Cole - nice one and that Piper still hasn't said anything that Cole had helped her before. And what the hell has happened in those four years when all were gone or only Paige?

Sorry, I haven't been writing much lately and I left the scene right in the middle.
All three of the Charmed Ones were taken aback by Coles revelation. They all breated a heavy collective sigh and sat back in their chairs. Everyone took a few seconds getting their thoughts together.
Finally, Phoebe broke the silence, "What do you mean, kept all hell from breaking loose?"
Cole snorted, "Well, just think about it. All the demons that you didn't vanquish in the last four years are still around causing trouble. There are two superpowers in the underworld, the Triad and Zankou, and a lot of minor powers between them."
"So, where do you stand with them, Cole," Paige asked, "Are you just bidding your time leting them weaken themselves before you strike and take over?"
"What!" Cole responded hurt, "I've been keeping the peace and a balance of power, so that no one can take over the underworld ever again."
"So, what's your plan, Cole?" Paige continued without even hearing what Cole said in his defense, "We know how you operate. You bid your time playing the nice guy until the time is right, then you strike."
Now it was time for Cole to be taken aback, "Well, I came here to offer up an olive branch, but I can see that I've wasted my time."
Cole stormed out of the living room and into the sunroom to address Billie, "I'm leaving, do you need a ride or can you find your way home?"
"What's wrong, Cole?" Billie asked.
"Nothing, I just got another meeting I need to get to" Cole reassured her.
"Ok, I can take a cab," Billie answered not buying it for a moment.
Cole walked back into the living room where the girls sat dazed by his sudden action.
"Good night Ladies, this is not over. We have too many things to talk about," Cole stated politely, "You were once worried that Wyatt would turn to evil. You looked at all the external sources, maybe you should have looked closer to home."
With that Cole walked right out of the manor in one fluid movement as if he had done it many times before.
"Paige, those personal attacks were uncalled for," Phoebe stated, "We were having quite an informative conversation with him."
"Consider the source," Piper chimed in, "And I mean consider 'The Source'. He was the last Source of All Evil."
"I think the two of you have it all wrong," Phoebe countered, "Why would he need me now for his evil plans. I have no power to offer him. Billie on the other hand, I think we can guess what's in it for him there."
Thinking about it, Pipre blurted out, "Eeww, you didn't have to go there, did you?"
"Not that Piper," Phoebe smiled, "She is the key, remember."
The light dawns in Piper's eyes, "Oh yeah, you're right. What should we do about it?"
"Have you ever head the saying, keep you friends close and your enemies closer," Phoebe asked.
Both her sisters nodded so she continued, "We need a good relationship with Cole just to get information. We cannot afford to alienate him just yet, so I'm going to call him tomorrow and patch things up."
"No!" Piper exclaimed, "Not you, we don't trust you with him."
Both Piper and Phoebe both looked at Paige to see which side she was on, "I'm with Piper, you and Cole, always a bad idea."
Phoebe sat back in the couch, crossed her arms over her chest and looked away from her sisters.
"Ok, Ok," Paige said with a touch of sarcasm, "I'll call him tomorrow and apologize see if I can't get the lines of communication open again."

So, Cole is good and all demons ever vanquished are still there. There must be a truce between Cole and the Underworld, somehow, I'd guess.

Notes- Cole good? at least not evil as far as the story goes. Truce no, stand off in the sense that the two sides could wipe each other out pretty much leaving the underworld open to an interloper. The situation between Zankou, the Triad and Cole is more of a diplomatic balance of power than anything else.
