In the episode All Hell Breaks Loose in which the powers of witches and demons are exposed, why do the sisters have to go to Tempus to reverse time, rather than having The Cleaners fix the exposure problem? In other episodes, The Cleaners have presented themselves as a neutral force that prevents exposure by removing the evidence, etc... Surely this would prevent the damage caused by the sisters' pact with the Source. Also, it makes more sense to me. Am I wrong in thinking this?

I the writers hadn't come up with the idea of them yet which's why they weren't used although I'm not certain of that for sure though.

Oh okay. Well thanks! I was just confused by them not being the first option in a dilemma like their exposure... I guess it is just an oversight in the writers ideas not matching up. No big deal.

That's okay. Come to think about it now I remember in the season six episode 'Crimes and Witch Demeanors' when the P03 were on trial with the tribunal one of the Cleaners spoke about Inspector Reese Davidson and what happened to him concerning Cole season 3 and how they knew the Seekers bite him etc which meant they were around then.
Most likely as I said the writers hadn't thought that far ahead regarding them and the fact magic hadn't been exposed before that plus the fact the Elders knew Tempus could reset time 'cause the Charmed Ones had faced him before and so probably was the first person that came to there mind.

S1-S4 was 'Charmed'; S5-S8 was an inconsistent mess. Simple.
