This is another reason that a continuation of the 1998-2006 version of Charmed is slim to none. Alyssa and Rose are clearly done with it.

I have nothing against Alyssa, but I'm not sure what she expected. Also, her intentions may have been sincere with that response to Holly, but boy does it come off patronizing? Maybe that's just me... Yeah, seeing a couple of interviews since, I actually think the comment upset Holly a lot more than it did Shannen. I guess she did work with Alyssa for 5 more years and they seemed like good friends despite Holly's close relationship with Shannen... so I could understand why she'd be peeved. I think it hurt her too. Clearly she felt the show meant a lot to her, while Alyssa it was just a job. Maybe Alyssa and holly were not as close as we thought and merely work friends who supported each other on set, but drifted apart after it ended. Interesting neither Alyssa or rose show up for any charmed conventions, while everyone else even Shannen have in past years. Again maybe they are busy or try to distance themselves from the show and moved on.

Well the X-Files is being revived in a miniseries format and it's being filmed up Vancouver instead of Los Angeles. I believe it was confirmed that neither Robert Patrick or Annabeth Gish are returning. Although, that may not be the most apt comparison to make since they were only main characters in the last two seasons of the original show, whereas Phoebe and Paige were staples throughout the latter five seasons of Charmed. You still had David Duchovny, albeit in a limited capacity, appearing during that time and the focus of the series was centred back on him during the series finale. The writers didn't try and sweep him under the carpet like what Brad and the writers attempted to do to Prue. Phoebe's possible absence could be an issue, but I would have no qualms about leaving Rose out of any reunion film/series entirely. She was my least favourite of the sisters and the only time she ever took the role seriously was during Season 4 and that was it. They can keep Wyatt, Billie, Magic School, the fairytail creatures, and pretty much everything else after S3 out for as much as I care. A reunion series/movie should be dedicated to the sisters, not some twice-blessed brat or a cheap Hogwarts knockoff. Maybe they could even get Constance back for this project, or is that impossible?

If they ever did a revival mini series or movie, maybe Alyssa and Rose might agree if they saw a script. People change there minds and feeling after some time. Who knows how they would feel in many years. But unlike X-Files, which isn't hard to continue with just one of them. Charmed was restricted with the three sisters and power of three. But yeah a reunion mini series/movie needs to be on the sisters. No point doing it unless they can secure the sisters back. They are the only ones you need. But the thought of Brad Kern returning makes me ill, I dont want a revival with him back, unless he had the talented writers from early seasons with him or Constance.

Well, Alyssa has said she'd do a Charmed movie, but Rose is still up in the air. If, for whatever reason, they decide to make a movie and could only get the original trio to return, I guess they could possibly set it in an alternate timeline, like the "Morality Bites" one. That would also conveniently get rid of stuff like Wyatt, Billie, and Not!warts.

An alternate timeline, where Prue lived after season 3. Doesn't Star Trek do movies that are alternate to the series or something. I'm not a fan, but I heard they do this.

Yup, the new Star Trek movies are set in an alternate universe from the Original Series and its Next Generation/Deep Space Nine/Voyager spinoffs. (The prequel series, Enterprise, exists in both timelines.) In fact, they actually came up with an in-universe explanation for the new timeline, which is something that Charmed could easily do as well, if needed.

Alternate timeline would be the most viable explanation to justify Paige's absence from the movie and Prue suddenly being alive again. The only other way would be to have the film take place some time between 1998-2001, but it would look very suspicious for the sisters and Leo to visibly age 14-17 years older than what they looked in those seasons only to revert back to their younger selves in the next chronological episode.
I wonder what the response would be to Rose's character being left out while Shannen returns. You would probably have fragmented groups criticising the producers for not bringing back one of their star actresses who has been on the show longer than Shannen was.

Well, I'm not holding my breath. I think the comics and the e-books (plus various fan made stories) are the closest we're ever gonna get.
Should Charmed even return, it would most likely be a complete reboot, new cast, new characters, new setting, the works.

Yes it would be a good reason to explain Paige's absence and her alive again. Yeah impossible to do in 1998-2001 sadly.
Yeah I can see some complaining. It wouldn't bother me one bit at all. Seeing as I'm one of the fans who loved the Prue years more than Paige. But seeing as both Holly and Shannen are the only main actors to attend charmed events and conventions in recent years and seem to love the show, they probably would be the ones who would be most open to return. You cant do it without at least three.
Still my dream would be for them to get all four sisters back, and a reunion with Prue. But an alternate timeline with Prue alive sounds even better. No offence to Paige, but the original is what started the series, and if it wasn't for them there would be no show. So I'd prefer that to an original movie with Paige which brings Prue back and is forced to keep the series canon of Forever Crap.

I would like to see a cast reunion show. Where the actors share their memories of the show, favourite episodes, and such. I would watch that.

Oh yes like one of those documentary type reunion shows they do for many shows. I'd be perfectly happy with a 20th-anniversary Charmed Comic Con Panel, like they did with X-Files a few years ago. But still it wouldn't be enough, and would get bad questions. So I vote for a reunion show.

No, not Comicon. Something like they did with the cast of Dynasty some years ago. They got them together in a room, and let the actors share their memories. They could do the same with the Charmed cast.

That would be the perfect time to do such a show.

That would be the perfect time to do such a show. It would indeed. I'm doubtful but I'd love a reunion movie or mini series, but again I'd imagine a reboot. But with shows like X-Files, Prison Break, Full House, Twin Peaks all being revived. Theres slight hope.

The most likely reason they'd do a reboot is so they could jettison all the rubbish of the later seasons. It would be easier to just start fresh than deal with all that, IMO.

Yes, and I dont want forever crap to be canon with the flashforwards. A reboot could be the better. Least this time they would stick with no sister dying. But I'd want something more original and only keeping the sisters, but introducing all new supporting cast. No Leo, no Dan, no Andy, No cole etc.

Yeah, that damned flash forward really was the rat that sank the ship, wasn't it.

Yeah, that damned flash forward really was the rat that sank the ship, wasn't it. It was wasn't it, thats why something wicca this way goes was better of the two. I never wanted flashforwards. I prefer an ending with an ending but more open ended like Buffy for instance. I want to imagine what happens to my characters, not spoon feed the future.
