The prophecies are often distorted by the fans and eventually it becomes canon what canon is not The Charmed Ones had no destiny to fulfill, as Phoebe told in Something Wicca This Way Comes
Phoebe: I'm serious. She practiced powers. Three powers. She could move objects with her mind, see the future and stop time. Before Melinda was burned at the stake, she vowed that each generation of Warren witches would become stronger and stronger, culminating in the arrival of three sisters. Now, these sisters would be the most powerful witches the world has ever known. They're good witches and I think we're those sisters.
Phoebe: We're the protectors of the innocent. We're known as the charmed ones
The most powerful witches the world has ever known:in Morality Bites, the original timeline, Prue's power has grown in a striking way, with a simple gesture she destroys the attic Piper is able to block an entire square, Phoebe, with her empathy out of control, is able to turn the feelings of anger of the people into a deadly weapon In ten years, their powers have grown exponentially even if their relationship is almost nonexistent -Prue's colleagues don't know she has two sisters
Prue, Piper and Phoebe are the prophesied sisters, the most powerful witches ever seen, able to access the Power of Three, whether they use magic to protect the innocent or not, they are the Charmed Ones But they aren't ironclad or immortal: Prue dies
The Power of Three absorbs Paige as sister, but Paige is not, and never will be, a Charmed One, her powers don't advance as Phoebe's - her empathy used to deflect fireballs - or Piper's Paige has whitelighter powers and a particular form of telekinesis but she isn't a powerful witch like her sisters or like the Jenkis's sisters If Prue had been alive, Christy and Billie'ld have to invoke the Void immediately, they'ld have had no other solution, because in this case they would have to face the three most powerful witches ever seen, not the two
I don't think there were two set of Charmed Ones but only one, Prue, Piper and Phobe

Agreed, totally.
Which is why S4-8 isn't "Charmed". It's "Witchlighter" where the Power of Three isn't as powerful as one male witch (Wyatt) or one witch and her sister who's the key to her powers (Billie and Christy) or the Hollow or the Nexus and all "Witchlighter" is about is battling all of them. *YAWN*
No way that would be the case if Prue was still alive. The prophecy ended when she ended. So should've the show.

Couldn't disagree with this statement more, Paige IS a Charmed One, she has the Warren power of telekinesis and she is the witch sister to Piper and Phoebe, when Prue died the prophecy shifted to Paige at least partially (according to the comics). To say Paige isn't as powerful as the other sisters or heck even the two rats Billie and Christy is obscene, she is clearly a strong witch, mastering spells and potions in season 5 that had taken the others years to learn. Her telekinetic powers did grow, to the point where she could throw things further, call something and throw it across the room in orbs etc. She could even telekinetically orb people to different locations by the end. I agree with you on most things when it comes to your prophecy ideas but for me, Paige is a bonefide Charmed One.

Phoebe: We're the protectors of the innocent. We're known as the charmed onesthree sisters and a half. lol The Charmed prophecy became quite redundant in season 4 after it was shown the power of three can just jump from one sister to another. If both Piper and Phoebe were killed, the writers could just add two more siblings Patty hid from the elders. If we're to go by season 4's rules, the power of three could've continued on for years and years without a worry of any sister dying so as long as Patty had more babies. If one sister was killed, the power of three would just pass to another.

Paige is clearly a Charmed One, although I agree that the writers completely f*cked up her powers. However, she can cast Power of Three spells with her sisters, so to suggests she is anything less doesn't make much sense.
However, I do have to admit that I have never been completely sure about Paige's being able to become a Charmed One. I loved Paige as a character and think the writers did a good job in a difficult situation when revising the show's premise. However, if Melinda only prophesied three sisters possessing the Power of Three, then it should not have been those girls who could harness it, because there was four of them.
The only reasons I can think to explain this are:
1). Melinda only foresaw Prue, Piper and Phoebe possessing the Power of Three and they would still be able to do so regardless of whether they had any other siblings. If Prue had survived, Paige could never have accessed the Power of Three.
2). Penny's binding spell on Prue, Piper and Phoebe as infants 'locked in' the Power of Three and because Paige was born outside of this magic, they were still able to grow up and become Charmed. Paige's witch side remained dormant meaning - technically speaking - that there was only 3 sister witches in that generation.
3). Paige was never supposed to be born. And being born to a witch and Whitelighter makes her a magically anomaly, and thus natural laws don't apply the same to her powers.
4). Prue was destined to die young and so Paige WAS allowed to be born, simply in order to replace Prue.

Paige had kind of a lead by coming onto the scene when there were two seasoned witches available to teach her the craft. The original Charmed Ones had to start from scratch with no one around to really teach them how to create/use spells, potions, and their powers. In my mind, Paige will always be second best to Prue. Her character is a clear representation of the illegitimate heir to the crown/title trope; someone who needed to be called upon when something happened to the original inheritor. The very nature of her being as a hybrid witch/whitelighter with separate familial ties and abilities that do not tie into the prophecy screams "outsider". I wouldn't so much call Paige a true Warren witch like Prue as she was a distant relation linked together by a tenuous interpretation of what the P03 is.
For a comparison, Paige's situation is actually quite similar to Adam Milligan being a vessel for Michael the Archangel in Supernatural. It was technically possible for Adam to house Michael's powerful essence within himself as we saw in S5. However, his true vessel, the one which he was originally intended to take control of and was most suited for him, was Dean. Adam was merely a desperate compromise made when Dean refused to agree to Michael taking over his body. That's essentially what Paige is to the Charmed Ones, in my opinion. Ironically, Adam was also an illegitimate half-sibling to Sam and Dean.

Prue wasn't destined to die young, in Morality Bites she is alive Melinda saw three powerfull sisters, Prue, Piper and Phoebe, sisters in which the powers she possessed would become extremely powerful Their bond generates that rare power that is the Power of Three, but this power has never been prophesied by Melinda, it was only an hope thet it could be born in their family The power called by Phoebe remains in the family accepting Paige instead of Prue but Paige is not one of witches prophesied, one of the more powerfull: she is good at writing spells or making or potions but this is the result of her study,Paige 's power are from her father

Why are we still having this debate? Paige is a Charmed One, Prue dying passed the prophecy on to her so she could continue the power of three. The end.

If it's not, if there is someone who determines what to talk about and what not to talk about, thank you for alerting me, it means that I'll not speak more, I am allergic to dictatorships

I think you didn't understand very well what Erika meant I discovered the same abot Wyatt birth's prophecy Melinda didn't speak of the power of the Three, of a blended power, she told of the three more powerful witches and Prue, Pier and Phoebe were awfully strong in 2009 If Penny taught them to be witches, even without powers, if Penny had faced Nicholas along with her granddaughter, freeing their powers, the sisters'ld in a few years become as powerful as in Morality Bites No wonder that Jeremy is in hurry to deal with them, the Triad sends Cole after only two years, the Source ends up evoking the Void, they have to kill them before they get to be the most powerful witches of all time The Source won the first round killing Prue but, surprise, there's another sister that will never have an advancement of magical powers as the other two, but she is part of the Power of Three and is able to orb, a useful capacity We often asked about Billie and Christy's powers but if we think of Prue as she was in Morality Bites, Piper wtih her explosive power and the ability to block everything around herself, Phoebe with her frightening emphatic power, as in Used Karma, it's easy to understand that even invoking the Void the Jenkins' would have no chance to win With Prue in charge, it'ld be enough Phoebe' empathy power to overload the telepathic Christy, because they were " the most powerful witches the world has ever known."

Paige is a Charmed One, whether she was meant to be one or not is irrelevant because it ended up with her becoming one anyway.

Paige did have some nice power advancement in the comics, and again it's the comics where you can read the best explanation about the prophecied Power of Three (from Prue's POV): "It was that damned prophecy. The Charmed Ones. A family line culminating with the three most powerful witches the world has ever known. The magic of the Warren line was supposed to be at its strongest with us. But we never had the chance to fulfill that destiny..." ...part of me was still trapped between life and death. It was tearing my soul apart. I lashed out at everyone for no reason. Andy suffered the most. But he wouldn’t let me go".
“I thought if I helped Piper and Phoebe find Paige, the prophecy would transfer to her and everything would be fine. Then I left them alone to let the power grow without any interference".
“But Melinda Warren knew nothing about Paige. The prophecy was meant for Piper, Phoebe and me. The power wasn’t supposed to transfer to anyone. As long as I still had a connection to the Warren line, I would always be tied to my sisters, stopping them from realizing their full power. I had to go someplace to be alone. I chose a quiet corner of the astral plane".
"...Even worse, I was holding them back. How else do you think that little blonde and her sister were such a threat to the Charmed Ones? Ultimate power, my ass! "

Ultimate power, I disagree...quite right!
I don't read the comics, I think I'ld not like them but thinking that the three prophesied witches are and remain Prue Piper and Phoebe makes clear the preponderant role of the Jenkins
This argument takes nothing away from Paige, she is part of the Power of Three and the Power of Three isn't mentioned by Melinda, it's a power that comes from the bond between the sisters, powerful sisters
I mean it's not true that they are not the most powerful witches but the Power of Three makes them so powerful, they had become individually the most powerful, as in Morality Bites
Piper becomes extraordinarily strong and so Phoebe until she loses the power of empathy, an empathetic Phoebe'ld immediately discovered the intentions of Christy and used Christy's telepathy against her, they'ld never have needed to evoke the Void
It's right, the prophecy was meant for Prue, Piper and Phoebe

Of course, in 1998, they did not foresee that, in 2001, they'd lose one of their lead actors, making a replacement necessary.

Yes Paige was apart of the power of three. But to me a hybrid is when things get complicated. Shes not a true witch like her other sisters. I would of been perfectly happy if Patty's affair was just with someone else, so Paige wouldn't be a whitelighter at all.
Had Leo left after season 1 as he was suppose too. I am certain Paige would of been introduced via Patty having an affair with someone not a whitelighter. Most likely another witch or even a warlock. Who knows, I vote for a witch though. Which makes sense Patty was having problems with Victor once he learns about magic, she would want another witch who she could relate too. I dont know.
