If I must be honest, I was never that big on Piper and Leo's romance.

That's right. It was great he wasn't in all the episodes during his run. Pre Witched, Sin Fransisco and Size Matter's were Cole free. Actually It was Wrestling with Demons she told them. Leo was told an episode earlier if memory serves. He really did kill her free spirit. Also, I wonder what the storyline would be if Cole's storyline stopped or was 'guest appearance'd post Sleuthing....?
Would Phoebe still be Fun Phoebe?
Would the series focus on Piper and Leo more?
Its almost like they couldn't really go on exploring the existing sisterhood and it makes sense that a 4th sister came along in Season 4.
That's a very good question. I honestly am not sure. I think how their serious romantic partners were put into the story is what pushed sisterhood focus permanently to the side. It wasn't that they shouldn't have had relationships, but that those relationships got in the way and changed the sisters. I think Leo was introduced too soon, and he and Piper's relationship got serious too soon as well, but there were plenty of times when he fit in well with the sisters and they were still close and the focus of the show. The same was true with Cole, but on a lesser scale. Phoebe changed permanently after he came into her life, and there seemed to be no going back from that. But there were a few episodes where he fit nicely into the story and the sisters were still the focus. Overall I think they let the sisters' romantic partners have too much of an influence on the show, whether they were present or not. They needed more time to just be sisters and new witches without anyone else around. Then Leo and Cole could have been introduced later in the show and much slower. I don't mind those two being supporting main characters, but only as long as "supporting" is the main idea. I agree. I honestly felt Piper and Leo's wedding shouldn't have happened in Season 3, but been pushed back a season at least. I personally feel when the Elders took Leo away, They should have maybe kept him gone longer, and brought him back mid-season. It took the drama out of the show when he suddenly comes back the next episode. I loved Piper in Once Upon a Time, but then she just gets Leo back anyway. Maybe Natalie could be introduced as their new whitelighter at that point while Leo was gone. I feel supporting main characters are fine, but maybe they should have tried more to keep them out of episodes or done it to how it were in the first two seasons, starting Season 3, you can tell that the supporting cast was getting in the way of the sisters and started taking more attention away. Leo can easily be out of episodes tending to other charges, did he really need to be in every single episode. As a big Phoebe fan, she was damaged beyond repair once she got with Cole. I felt Andy and Darryl didn't get in the way, unlike Leo and Cole. Again, we don't know if Andy stayed how it would play out. But because he and Darryl were non-magical, I don't think they would. But they added a unqiue perspetive for Charmed, that was lost after Season 1. With Darryl, he was just there.

I wrote Loved It but now like it.
I don't know why, but Season 3 is my 4th most preferred to watch.
Season 2 and 4 are my fan faves. They both have flaws the the love triangle in Season 2 and the rushedness of 4th Season.
Season 1 is just CLASSIC Charmed. The innocence!
But even though Season 3 has some stand out episodes like All Halliwell's Eve, the Good Bad and Cursed and amazing acting performances in Primrose Empath, Coyote Piper and AHBL, overall its my least favourite of Seasons 1-4.
Theres a change from sisterhood to celebrity pull and an offscreen powerplay and conflict. Sometimes I watch scenes between Prue and Phoebe and think how unauthentic the acting performance was.
I didn't think Charmed Jumped the Shark at Sleuthing with the Enemy when I first watched Charmed (Now I do of course - because Phoebe lied and betrayed her sisters which should have broken the Power of Three).
I liked Cole and if the show continued with Shannen Doherty and Julian McMahon still in it without their (and other) characters not being destroyed and never having that offscreen drama in the background, maybe it would change my perception.
Season 3 is also VERY serious. Season 4 and moreso 2 have a better balance.

Have finished S3 with the re-watchers recently, I can now vote in this poll.
And my opinion HAS changed. Loved it, now like it. Don't know why, It just hasn't held up, I don't hate it, but I can't say I loved it. Noticing parts I don't like with the Piper/Leo and Phoebe/Cole relationship arcs.

I liked it before, but after watching the series a couple times now, I dislike it. I prefer Season 1 and Season 2.

I still like it. I love S3 Prue, so much. S3 was her best season, IMO.

Loved it, now like it
So things in this season annoy me so much, but it's not the worst season. So loved it, now like it sounds about right. It has been quite a while since I saw S3, but from my least re-watch, I didn't like it as much as S1 and S2 and prefer those more.

Loved it now liked it. Not as good as S11 and S2 but after our S3 re-watch earlier this year. Especially the changes with the characters and Cole feeling like too much of a star over the real stars of the show, the sisters.
I really felt the season ended poorly. After Sin Francisco the rest of S3 isn't as fun with the last four.

When I watched charmed originally it was like a lighter weight Buffy like I loved season 1 and 2 so much and it's great but season 3 felt on its level and felt each Saturday was an event to see it ...same with season 4 These are the best sessions and while it's been several years since my last binge I really do adore It on rewatch to it still holds up massively
