I would argue that saying that Prue had to take all responsability for Phoebe and Piper is bogus. Knowing Grams it's insane to think that she would even do that.

Well, having watched Something Wicca again, I can state that neither Piper nor Phoebe claimed that Prue raised them. Both recite together an apparently oft repeated line that Prue helped raise them. Left open is what that entailed.

"helped raise us..." doesnt exactly mean that she did raise them, being only 6 when their mom died, it would be slighty inaccurate if she had found herself having to raise 2 little kids... she wouldnt the mentality for it until she was atleast 15... Even then she wouldnt have had to have raise them anyway...

Yes, that's precisely the point. Far too much is being to read into that joint exposition from Piper and Phoebe. Realistically, Prue didn't have to raise her siblings. Grams was there for that. She may, however, have served as an emotional cushion to lean on, especially when the girls hit middle and high school.

Thats the only thing really... I mean, I bet Piper helped them as well as she seems the most... mature... I think is the word... Or maybe the most down to earth sister, but I bet Prue was the hardest hit when their mom died so she may have taken it onto herself to be some kind of support? Does that make sense?

I didnt necessarily cry, but I was upset that an era had ended... Im not the biggest Prue fan but she was a good actress and made the series seem alive and warm... I was upset that they had lost a good actress!!

Careful, as maracev has pointed out - correctly, I believe - too much can be read into the comment made in Something Wicca. Realistically, how much of her childhood did Prue have to sacrifice to help raise Phoebe (and Piper). She did not have to work to support the family. She did not have to forego college. Indeed, if anyone had to sacrifice it was Piper. From Pre-Witched we learn that Piper settled for working as a bank teller in order to help with expenses, especially after Grams took ill. Prue made no such sacrifice. Don't get me wrong: I don't wish to pit the sisters against one another. My point simply is that too much can be made of Prue's alleged sacrifice.

All Piper did was get a job that she didn't like during a period of a few months before Grams' death. I really cannot compare her "sacrifice' to Prue's. Besides, Prue was very young around the time of Patty's death. I feel that she was too young to assume the role of Piper and Phoebe's other guardian. And Grams should have put a stop to it before it was too late.

your right charmed has not been the same without prue can someone tell me why you say blessed be after the message? the statement "blessed be" is a wiccan's way of saying "god bless"... it is simply a sentiment that we share at the end of a message/letter. Also, most wiccans will begin their messages/letters with "merry meet", to say hello.

Right, so it is... Prue was a selfish woman, and she wouldnt have known what to do when everything happened... You know what. All the sisters are selfish, so pin pointing Prue on that concept is just silly. Don't believe me? Look at the Avatar saga of the Charmed history. Look at how they acted in Season 8, using Billie as thier magical slave. Also, what do you mean Prue wouldn't know what to do when everything happened? Well, of coarse things are unpreditable, but you have to admit. Prue did keep things organized when she knew of a big threat, like with Belthazor, and the Triad.
