We do get to see her funeral in episode Charmed Again (1). But we do have to fill in the blanks in between All Hell Breaks Loose and Charmed Again. We go from seeing Prue and Piper slam into a wall by Shax to Prue's funeral were we meet Paige. There is no episode were we see how Phoebe leaves the underworld and why Prue wasn't healed.

Actually Piper said that in Charmed Again Pt. 1, that he saved her because she was his wife. He tried to save Prue but she was already gone.

I just got the chance to see "The Ticket" from 1997. It was on Lifetime earlier today. She did a good job in that one. Good movie. Glad I got the chance to watch it.

Anyway i'v been watching charmed from the very begining and i was sad when pure die and i thought i would never see the show again but i did. it was really so much different when shannen lefted and i really missed seeing her on there when the show ended i was really hoping that they would have talked her into coming back so that she could have met her other sister page and that would have been really cool. I would like to know what shannen is doing now,if she is still acting or not.

Question about Shannen:

What (and how much) does Shannen own regarding "Charmed"?
Is it just the name of "Prue Halliwell" and that's it...because she didn't even create the name or the show.
Doesn't she have to get permission from the creator and/or the Spelling production company?

In reply to chippers comment, Shannen, after she left charmed, kind of faded away for a while. I know she did a lifetime movie with Julian Mcmahon (a.k.a. The Absolutely GORGEOUS Cole!). Recently, she has been on more. Last summer, she guest hosted on the view for a few months, and can now be seen on her own lifetime show, "Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty.", which i havent seen yet, but have heard fairly good things about.

In reply to Elders comment, i dont know much, other than after season three, Charmed was not allowed to use any image of Shannen. Wikipedia has a lot of info on it, you should check there.

SD probably didn't "own" anything about Charmed. Unless it was in her contracts to have "residuals" so that every time the WB or TNT played an episode from the first three seasons, she gets paid something, I doubt there was any connection other than being a close friend of HMC.

Although it was never officially announced why this happened, after reading a number of the actors quotes, knowing the history of why SD got booted off 90210, and that a new contract was being negotiated for all three, I believe the reasons why SD was cut was two fold. One, she was doing the Diva thing, acting out a little (which Spelling hated and what got her canned from 90210) and two, she was probably holding out for more money to sign back on for another five years. It may have been another aspect of the contract, like it being five years long and she didn't plan to stay that long, but this is unsure.

Charmed had turned out to be a surprise hit for the WB, one of their top shows, lasting far longer than expected and holding on to quite a dedicated audience. SD probably saw that as an opportunity, as the main star of the show, which she had become (just look at all the die hard Prue fans despite her being gone for last five years of the show), and either wanted more money, or some other changes to her contract which obviously totally annoyed Spelling to the point of firing her.

Given that she directed the last episode she was in "All Hell Breaks Loose", it was ironic she was killed off there. Convenient situation allowing her to be replaced without missing a beat. You also know it didn't go over well with SD as despite being very close friends with HMC, never once asked or was asked to come back as a cameo ghost or allow even her image to ever be used on any future episodes. Not even a picture on a wall or in a flashback scene that was already shot. In the one time that was done, they used doubles and re-shot that part of the scene (in the episode: Cathouse).

I'm only supplying all this history to note how bad the feelings must have been over the firing. I think Spelling felt he had given SD a fair second chance on another one of his shows and she turned around and tried to bite the hand feeding her, again.

SD is a fine actor, but since Charmed, you're right, what has she done in the last 5-6 years. Some not so good B movies (she was actually shooting that movie with JM in Canada when she got a messages or telegram that she had been fired from Charmed), some not so good reality TV (as if we need any more reality TV), and probably a few other odds and ends. I'm not down on SD in general, don't get me wrong. I just think she blew an opportunity with Charmed, and it hurt both her career and the show in the same process. Charmed ratings began to suffer after SD was gone and, I think, eventually contributed to it's ending, despite the fine jobs done by HMC, AM, and RM.

SD may have helped to keep the show more dark if she had remained, more drama, more serious. She would have influenced the following seasons, perhaps directed a more episodes and really grown with it, as AM and HMC did. It's all a bunch of "what ifs" and maybe she has been happier in the long run, but it was a real world disappointment which affected the fantasy world of Charmed in a big way, and not all for the good. Anyway, this is a way too long post to continue on this topic.

I think Shannon sounds like a really nice person. I liked Prue and cried sooooo hard when she died. That was the first episode I ever watched. The one where she dies. I don't know what went off between her and Alyssa but that doesn't change my views on either of them. I lv them all I think they are all fantastic people and all so caring

That's the point. I don't think there was ever any bad feelings between SD and AM. Probably rumor started by some things which were said or done and taken out of context or blown up out of proportion. Such stuff sells in the puedo newspapers and such. I don't know if they were best buds or anything, but they did work together, day in and day out for three years. If there were any minor problems, it probably just had to do with some minor personality clashes and nothing that major. I believe SD was canned because of all the reasons I noted above. Whether I'm right about most of it or only some of it, does it really matter now?

Wow, Shannen has been in so many good movies! I LOVE "Gone In The Night" such a great movie but sad aswell. And I liked the movie "Heathers" It was funny, though I cant remember it because I havnt watched it in sooo long
Shannen Doherty played "Prue Halliwell" good I thought. And Im sorry she had to leave....But Im sure most of her fans remember her in Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed. For me its Charmed. Well Shannen like the others is a great inspiring actress.
