Tuesday, May 17th is the tenth anniversary of the episode where our favorite sister appeared for the last time. To commemorate this event, I'd like to suggest first watching "All Hell Breaks Loose" and then to watch Shining Allure's "The Story of Prue's Death" Taking a number of clips from various episodes and using some special effects of her own, Shining-Allure has put together the Missing Episode so many of us wanted to see. For anyone who wants to know what we might have been able to see had Brad Kern done a more graceful job of letting Shannen Doherty go, be sure to check it out: SHINING-ALLURE'S "The Story of Prue's Death" Part One: When Death Means to LovePart Two: AfterlifePart Three: Forever SistersSHINING-ALLURE's Dedication: I dedicate this whole Fan-made-extended-reality episode to Prudence Halliwell, my favorite Charmed sister of all time, and the most powerful, funniest, most talented witch on the show.
Ok, I still love the others, but season 7 and 8 made the whole cast look like bored, boring witches with nothing to do but whine about having a normal life, WHICH made the show even more boring because the main idea wasn't about that and it made the demons look like crazy losers who would just come around and "attack".
I know I said this a million times already, but I SWEAR, Teletubbies scare me more than the demons do after season 5 ended ..well.. even some demons from seasons 3, 4 and 5 weren't that scary.
Anyway, I hope there's nothing more to add (on the video AND the description).
Enjoy the video. (And I most certainly did!) EXTRAS: The Scene We Should've SeenAd for the DVD (Don't I wish...) NOTE: Shining-Allure admits that she couldn't keep hair-styles and clothes and stuff like that consistent since, of course, this episode never existed, but if you can look past all of this, she did a fantastic job actually putting together the episode (with dialogue) that we should've had the chance to see.

I watch that all the time I can't believe it's been a decade, wow. I sat and watched Prue die when I was five years old, amazing. I still love the episode, even to this day, one of the most exciting and emotional episodes of Charmed.

If you mean "All Hell Breaks Loose", I hardly ever watch it - there's too many inconsistencies that bug me too much. Shining-Allure's "The Story of Prue's Death" is a totally different story - I watch it a lot and cry every time I do.

And I haven't watched AHBL since it's original airing ten years ago. Seriously, I haven't.
I just can't bring myself to pop in the epi on my DVD's or watch it when it comes up in the TNT rotation. Strange, I know, but it's a personal choice.
But the videos Es posted from Shining-Allure? Now those I could watch over and over again -- with a tissue box handy, of course. As a matter of fact, I will most definitely make a point to watch 'em tonight when I get home from work. They are an absolutely fantastic tribute to my favorite of the sisters.
Never forgotten....always missed!

Es, I mean I watch ShiningAllure's all the time. I loved AHBL, but I only usually watch it when I'm doing rotations of my DVD's and I'm watching Season 3.

With "All Hell Breaks Loose" when Prue and Piper vanquished Shax in front of the Hospital, it didn't take the power of three. But, afterwards in "Charmed Again" it did take the power of 3 and when Cole changed history in "Centennial Charmed" Piper was chasing Shax because it took the power of 3 to vanquish him. So, is it just a writing inconsistency when Prue and Piper could vanquish Shax without Phoebe or did Prue and Piper somehow have enough power to vanquish him?

I wonder. After all, Prue and Piper probably had a closer connection than any of the others, so perhaps their connection was close enough so they *could* vanquish him on their own. Or did they??? Was he actually vanquished or like when Phoebe chanted the spell on her own, did he simply go "Poof!"?

Prue and Piper did not vanquish Shax. It was just the same thing as when Phoebe said the spell. They knew it would at least wound him, making him go away to recover again. Therefore the only point of them using the spell outside the hospital is to get rid of him until they can get the doctor to safety again/sort out their issues with the media/wait for Leo to get Cole to get the Source to get Tempus to reverse time.
Actually, it is possible that Prue and Piper believe that the two of them saying the spell does vanquish him, so they do have actual vanquishing intentions in using the spell that time, even though it only wounds him again.
That's only my opinion though, based on the fact that the vanquish is a Power of Three spell requiring all three of the Power of Three.

But since he never does or does not show up again in that timeline, we never truly know if he was vanquished or he went POOOF. If two sisters and a half-sister who they just met could vanquish him, why not two sisters who were very close?
Like you, that's only my opinion, based on the fact that three women, including one they didn't even know and who was a living whitelighter, not a witch and was a half-sister, not a full, could vanquish him. By that point, the Power of Three wasn't really all that important. It never was during "The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper", not when you had the Power of One - Piper - and not when you needed all of the various other things in order to vanquish the latest Big Bad (the power of the Warren Line, the Hollow, being goddesses....)
Like we've shown in other threads, once you added Paige, the Power of Three really wasn't that powerful...

I agree with the Power of 3 not being as powerful after Prue's death, and with the idea that Prue and Piper 's sisterly bond somehow had the power to vanquish Shax. The Hollow I felt was kind of a cop - out for Charmed, I would have loved to see Piper, Phoebe, Paige, and Prue (If Kern had actually asked for Shannon to return) fight hand to hand against Billie and Christy and vanquish them with the P3 spell.

I most definitely wouldn't. Christy was the Ultimate Innocent, a child brainwashed into believing the Charmed Ones were evil - someone Prue would never vanquish. Now doing that to the Triad, now that would've been fun. Although I would've preferred her using it to change her sisters back to ones who protected the innocent rather than just protecting the Twice Blessed Brat.
