I am also not a fan of Phoebe's character but Alyssa did fit the part very well.
I grew up watching her on Who's the Boss. I still watch that show when I see it on TV. I also liked the role she played in the TV movie about Joey Buttafucco (sp?). She was GREAT playing the role of "long island lolita".

I really liked Alyssa Milano as Phoebe, she played the careless little sister part perfectly...and then eventually she learned to grow up and learned the hard parts of life...She was my fave character...there was just something about her...She had the most adventures, and her life was just the most interesting...

I related to Phoebe in the first few seasons being the baby of the family myself but she always frustrated me when she wouldnt listen to anybody telling her Cole was evil. Sometimes i just wanted to jump in the TV and knock some sense into her!....lol.. I still loved her though

It was reported today, 17 September 2007, in the Daily News (Los Angeles) in a story with the headline "Alyssa Milano gets 'mobbed' for Lifetime":
Alyssa Milano has been tapped to star in the Lifetime original movie "Wisegal", a drama inspired by the true story of a woman who became a trusted messenger for the Mafia.
Milano will play Patty Montanari, a widow with two young sons who becomes romantically involved with Frank Russo, a captain in a Brooklyn crime family who persuades her to work for the organization as a courier transporting millions of dollars from Canada into the U.S. When Patty learns that Frank has murdered his son, she realizes what he is capable of and begins to fear for her life and her sons' lives. The movie will premiere early next year.
Ahh, Phoebe, it's your greatest fear, isn't it? You will never escape Cole!

I have put together a little reel of bloopers and 1 cuted scene from the movie Dickie Roberts Former Child Star, with Alyssa. In this movie she does not play a very nice person, in fact she leaves Dickie in the beginning of the movie and tries to slither herself back into his life when he finally starts to have success again. But the bloopers and the cuted scene is special, since you in the cuted scene see Alyssa in a way that you never has seen her before with a very nasty poison oak infection. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kph9QqLMW9UBut i do suggest the movie, its pretty funny.

Has Alyssa Milano ever appeared in a softcore movie before? Because I believe that I may have stumbled across a video clip of her in one, on the LIVEJOURNAL site.

Of course, she has. In her fledgling movie career after Who's the Boss had run its course, Alyssa started in several soft-porn films.

Hmmm . . . interesting. I think I have heard the same about Shannen Doherty.

Well, suffice it say that Alyssa followed in the path of strewn about clothes that Alicia Silverstone had set out in the first film in a string of three or so soft-porn films. Alyssa was #2!

She did also make softcore in the movie Diamond Hunters from 2001, so it did also happen while she still was in Charmed. There the lucky guy was Sean Patrick Flanery, that the most know as the young Indiana Jones.

I've been meaning to post the following for a while. I guess it means I'm still in shock that my team was swept in the NLDS (the Phillies). Anyhow: From the Los Angeles Times sports section's Daily Briefing on 7 October 07 comes this report about our "charmed one", Alyssa Milano.
Alyssa Milano, the actress and Dodgers fan who is working for the TBS Hot Corner on MLB.com during the playoffs told SI.com she gets weary of people bringing up the different baseball players she has dated.
"You never want to relive past relationships," she said. "But I get it. I've also been very vocal in feeling that there's an incredible double standard going on that we think Derek Jeter is cool because he's dated lots of actresses."
Touche.
Geez, Phoebes, "you never want to relive past relationships", especially not with Cole. And, how about this for a double standard. Julian McMahon has been with how many women in Nip/Tuck? Well, at least she's not a homewrecker like a certain R.M.

I think Alyssa Milano is absolutely gorgeous.
But whyyyy did she never shave her arms?! Her arms were so hairy throughout the entirety of the show and it looks really bad. I mean, to each his own I suppose but I just find hairy arms on women very unattractive.
And I find it ironic that after the show she did a commercial for Veet

No indication as to whether you are male or female, but sometimes this is perhaps just how we've been conditioned to respond. Hairy arms on women? How disgusting@! Says who? I don't find it the least bit annoying, though I am cognizant of it since many, many actresses feel compelled to remove every bit of body hair.
There are still some women in Europe, I hope, who still subscribe to hairy armpits as one overt sign of feminist rebellion against the "modern" age. Or, is it merely a continuation of long-held practices in Europe?

I am male and I am not knocking Alyssa Milano for having hairy arms, I just never found hairy arms on a woman attractive. Its actually a bit of a turn off to me. I'm not saying it isnt socially acceptable if women dont shave their arms it's just not my taste.
I remember in an episode in the second season where Phoebe went to her past life and that man pressed her up on the wall and began to kiss her, there was a closeup of her arm and initially I thought it was the guys arm but turns out it was hers and I just found that to be a little gross.
Now if AM wanted to date me, would I refuse her because she has werewolf arms? Well of course not, but I was just making an observation of how it kinda bugged me.

I'm more struck by the height disparity. In The Importance of Being Phoebe, we learn that Paige's height is approximately 5'4". As she is the tallest Charmed One, that would make Piper and Phoebe anywhere from 5' to 5' 3". As an almost six foot tall male (1.79 m or 5' 11 1/2"), that disparity is practically a gulf for me. And, I'm short compared to Cole and Darryl. They are around 6' 2", the height of my nephew and nieces. Some of the shots with Phoebe and Cole, Phoebe and Darryl, etc. are really jaw-dropping in this regard.
Again, Charmed had no problems with this. Whereas in the past many TV shows would disguise such a disparity in height by having the smaller individual stand on, say, a step or riser or adjust the shot in order to diminish the disparity, Charmed oftentimes let it all hang out. Maybe that's another reason why I like Charmed: Piper gives us a broad smile, even though her teeth are not Hollywood perfect. Phoebe has hairy arms. And Paige has a cleft chin. If the Charmed Ones are not always picture perfect and it's okay, doesn't that send a powerful message to all of those expecting perfectly airbrushed babes?

Hairy arms or not, Alyssa is still a pretty darn attractive woman. You can also see it at her that nature itself is very kind to her and makes her look more and more pretty as she ages. I just don't hope that she at one point get the idea as most of the Hollywood women, that a plastic surgeon is needed to stay pretty.

I believe she had two: one to enhance and the other to restore. At least, I hope so. Women who engage in the former I just cannot understand. But, then, I can't understand the attraction of Bob who uses all of that extension stuff. Oh well!
