Why Andy

Ok, i dont want to start a argument, but i have a question..

why does everyone love Andy, when he wasn't in Charmed that long, he only lasted for a season, but then other characters come in for just 1 Season and no one likes them, so Why is Andy any different?

This discussion belongs in the open character discussion, not in Andy's Fan Club, but I'll reply anyway.

I think it's due to the fact that Andy seems like family. He knew the girls when they were kids, so he's like their brother.

He's also the first of the original cast who we lost. The first is always special.

Also, he was willing to give up his life for the sisters, especially Prue. That makes him very special. And the fact that he and Prue only had that one season together and then she had him taken away makes us dream about what *could've* been. Had the Elders taken away Leo when he and Piper first fell in love or had Cole stayed away after "Womb Raider", we would feel the same way about Leo & Piper and/or Phoebe & Cole--wondering what could've been had they not been taken away. (Personally I wish Leo and Cole *had* been taken away at those times and kept away so like Piper and Phoebe, we would still wonder with *them*--what could've been--rather than regretting what we got.)

Also, the relationship between Andy and Prue was very special, the most special guy-gal relationship that any of the sisters had. Prue was still mourning his loss halfway through the next season when the darklighter used him to try to make her commit suicide in Murphy's Luck. Also unlike the others, Prue didn't try to change Andy--she only wanted him to be able to accept her as a witch--but unlike the others, she loved Andy exactly as he was. It shows how special Prue and Andy as a couple was, which makes us realize how special Andy was.

Naturally those who don't like Prue probably won't like Andy, which is a huge shame because he was a great character wonderfully played.

I dont think andy should have left but what isnt so good he was only there for a season so that is a down fall to him .

To me, the fact that we only had him for one season isn't a downfall at all, but an advantage, because we only see him as he was that season, not the way his character was changed for the worst, the way Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo and Cole all were.

I remember when i first watched Charmed, Andy's & Prue's relationship seemed somehow amazingly special like the scene in Esmeralda's sign (great sign btw).
Andy was so decent. He was someone who had strong beliefs and stuck to them. He was honest, true to himself and that's why he couldn't live with the lie of not knowing the real Prue ( the witch Prue). But even then he still cared for her to risk his own life and she knew it. He was not just some guy, he was Prue's true love and also he was probably the most respectful person on the show (not to lessen any of the other character's values of course).

Along with what sidney and Es have said, Andy/Prue were the first relationship we were exposed to on Charmed! They had such a great dynamic. Andy was a very strong character, and yes we may have only seen him for one season, but I would rather have seen him for a 'short' amount of time than not at all.

I like Andy, and I also am glad that Andy was in the show, even if only for a short time.

OMG HOW CAN U ASK THT? andy was da sweetest guy, i put him even b4 leo n cole... but i think thts coz he died 4 prue before anything really happened again... i kno leo wouldve n cole practically did, n was willing 2 but andy was a mortal who as much as at 1st it freakd him out bout prue, he neva stopped loving her in my opinion. n thts big comin from me, i am so leos biggest fan haha

He was so protective of prue. He would hve done anythin 4 her. So sad he left.
