As the oldest she knew how and Grams had trained her how. Even Piper said so during "Hell Hath No Fury".
Had they let Paige be the Only Child she was, I'd consider her, but as is...

Prue. No competition. Some people are born to lead, others are born to follow.
Paige might of been a good leader for the sisters, cause I do think she had that "leader gene" but I just don't think she was ever given the chance.

Prue for obvious reasons. She got things done and the sisters focused. And well they basically fell apart after she died.

Not to mention there values and morality changed. Phoebe used her powers for personal and lost them. That wouldn't have happened on Prue's watch.

Well I'm going to break the mould and say Piper.
Plainly because, even though she became more hard and resilient after Prue's death. I think she kept the family together. Most people on this forum hate her change from innocent, panicky Season 1 - 2 but I think it shows development. Everybody changes, it was real. It what carried the show on.
I think she lead as best she could, and her breakdown at the end of Season 4 when Phoebe turned evil showed that she really cared for her sisters and felt the need to protect them like Prue had.

I dont think anyone thinks that she didnt care for them and wanted to protect them but she let Phoebe and Paige off with to many things and all of them just basically lost focus. Like when Phoebe or Paige would pick a date over a Charmed situation. Prue was more strategy and kept the focus clear. She wanted Piper/Phoebe to have their own lives but she also knew when it was time to get to business.

I agree in that respect CharmedFaith, but in the end, Prue became reckless, and too focused on her Charmed destiny that she began to think she was invincible, this is why she was killed.

I agree that Prue's major problem was her pride, but I still believe that she made a better leader than Piper. I had posted an article about my problems with Piper's role as leader during the post-Season 3 era. |

Prue. It's probably not okay for her to boss them around. And her pride can get in the way. But she always pulled them trough. It's not Prue's powers that made her a good leader. But it's her love for her sisters. Her empathy/caring for the innocents. Her intelligence and her analytic/strategic mind. Her being a good analytic could be why she was so good at her job in the auction house.
