One of the most prestigious institutions in the world, Harvard is home to the smartest, the most creative, the most resourceful and the most talented young people from all over the globe. Founded in 1636, Harvard is the oldest university in the United States and boosts an alumni of some of the best and brightest minds in the world, including former Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, John Adams, John F. Kennedy & Barack Obama.



Harvard Yard is a grassy area of about twenty-five acres adjacent to Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, that constitutes the oldest part and the center of the campus of Harvard University. It contains thirteen of Harvard College's seventeen freshman dormitories, as well as four libraries, five buildings of classrooms and academic departments, and the central administrative offices of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the university, located in University Hall and Massachusetts Hall, respectively.



One of the most famous of those thirteen dormitories is Matthews Hall: situated in the heart of Harvard Yard, Matthews boasts large suite
common rooms and lovely interiors. All Matthews suites are doubles or triples with shared hallway bathrooms. In the basement, Matthews has a newly-renovated common room. The basement also has a study room with white board, a full kitchen, music practice rooms and a trash room. Past residents include Matt Damon, Robert Rubin, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, William Randolph Hearst, Mark Penn, and John Dos Passos.

HISTORY: As the daughter of a former Governor, Miranda Read is used to getting what she wants, when she wants. Having always had the best of worlds, Miranda is a reasonably well grounded girl, despite her materialistic ways. Always the kind of girl everyone wants to be, Miranda is used to the attention and while she doesn't seek it, she does secretly crave it. Reasonably well rounded, Miranda was never a superbitch but was often the subject of unwanted jealousy.

Taking an interest in theater from an early age, Miranda knew she wanted to be on the stage. In order to reach the top, Miranda landed herself a place at the prestigious Harvard University, a prospect she is much looking forward to.

HISTORY: Beth grew up in an upper-middle class neighbor with mostly boys her own age; thus being labeled a 'tom boy.' Her father is the U.S. attorney for Maryland, and her mother is the director for the Baltimore School for the Arts, an alumnus and forumer ballerina.

Growing up, her parents were very focused on their respective jobs which gave Beth lots of free time. That's how she got into video games and sports. She's been ice skating since she was three, and mixed with ballet classes, loves to be on the ice. After some street hockey, she took up ice hockey and played in a girls' division throughout high school. She also is a 'gamer.' She would play at local video gaming hot spots, and has been to a few nation-wide tournaments.

Because of her family, she was sent to upscale private schools, where she took college classes and found a passion for design. She graduated high school validictorian. She even scored a 2370 out of 2400 on her SATs. With her grades and parents, she got accepted into Harvard and only goes home to visit her family on her brother's birthday.

Beth is very focused and determined. She is sarcastic and bitchy. She gets easily annoyed and is a little difficult to get along with, especially with other females. She spends a lot of time alone in her room working on websites or playing video games.

HISTORY: Born and raised in the Upper East Side, Alicia is no stranger to wealth and privilege, especially being an only child. She's always gotten her way, no matter what, and that usually always leads to trouble. She was in and out of private schools, but miraculously managed a perfect grade point average (if only due to her fathers connections) and was accepted into Harvard, where all of her family has attended for generations.

During the final weeks of her freshman she ended up getting pregnant, and of course, to avoid a scandal and embarrassment, her parents made her leave school and quietly give the baby up for adoption. The whole ordeal has really changed her personality, she used to be a wild party girl and now she has no interest in dating but does want to get back into her old crowd, and is worried about all the questions regarding her absence. However, she is still spoiled rotten and was not happy when her parents told her she would have to return to school and get good grades or she would be cut off and she'd have to *gasp* get a job.

She hasn't decided on a major yet, before everything her major had been Alcohol and Partying 101, so she's going to have to figure out how to get her act together and fast. She's very willful, spoiled and tactless, she says what is on her mind and doesn't think about the consequences. She has an addiction to shopping and on the surface may seem vapid, but once you get past the harsh personality, she is very genuine and a loyal friend.

HISTORY: Ryan Stone finds it hard to let people in. His father, Robert Stone who worked for the Terrorism Response Unit for the CIA was killed in a plane crash in April 1991, whilst still grieving for her husband's death, Ryan's mother Tracey discovered she was pregnant, and had Ryan on Christmas Eve. His childhood was over-protected, being sent through various private schools and with his mother attempting to fulfill her dream of being an artist, he formed a great bond with his Aunt Kay. After securing a place at Harvard through his father's old bosses, Ryan was shocked to discover that his mother was pregnant aged 47 and although sceptical about the paternity, when his half-brother arrived on 4 November 2010 the event was struck with guilt, as Tracey died as a result of a haemmorage on her womb.

Dealing with loss all his life, Ryan is closed off and comes across as cold. He is extremely close with his Aunt Kay and little brother Jenson and is looking at the start of his psychology major in Harvard as a fresh start, quite a heartbreaker, Ryan was never without a girl on his arm, although experiments with his best friend Liam at high school has made him open and embrasive of his confusing sexuality. Ryan is out to make friends, and although he doesn't go looking for drama, drama usually finds him.

It usually works out a lot better if you just jump into it without a big plan, just possible storylines in your head, like a choose your own adventure book, see where it takes you.

Yeah, free for all sounds like a plan, getting bogged down in a set storyline tends to lead to people loosing interest.

I'll probably also create a male character too but I may not do it until we get the RPG up and running. See where the story takes us etc...

And rule of thumb, I'm happy for people to play "fringe" characters (characters without profiles) as well, members of staff for example. But like main characters, who ever creates the character is the only person that can play them unless they say otherwise.
