Since I've had today off as a recovery day after my week in New Mexico, I've been having fun catching up with all of the conversations I've missed while I was gone. Reading this reminded me of one of my posts that I'd reread earlier. It's in the "When Andy knew the the secret" in the Season One sub-board. Here's what I originally posted in this thread:
And here's what I wrote in the S1 thread (bolding added):
I'm not sure if they would've matched Piper with Dan or not - it's possible they might have used Dan to get Prue and Andy together the same way they used him to get Leo and Piper together, since Shannen was supposed to be the star with the other two just co-stars - she was always supposed to get the most money. Perhaps after realizing that her heart will always belong to Andy, Dan and Piper would be attracted to each other instead.
Naturally that's not the way the show worked, but I think Ted leaving and Brian staying had a lot to do with that.
More likely than not, when they went to the future, it would be Prue who would've had Melinda, with Andy telling her why they didn't stick together...you can continue in that vein the same way you did.
*sigh* This just makes me wish more and more than Ted King had stayed and the only time we saw whitelighters was in Season One...
Most definitely "Morality Bites", since it's my favorite episode period. If only they hadn't introduced the idea of dead men being able to sire children, it would've been perfect.
And here's what I wrote in the S1 thread (bolding added):
Brian Krause was only supposed to be part of the first season - that's why Leo told the sisters that he was only supposed to be their guide for their first year as witches. So, no, if Ted King had stayed, we never would've heard the word "whitelighter" or "Elder" again, and never hear "half-whitelighter" or "witchligher". Sam would've never been part of the show and neither would Paige.
