“Maybe” Melinda said trying to muster up a smile. “Wait” Melinda said forgetting she should leave a note. Her brother's would worry like crazy if she wasn't home with out a trace when they got home. Melinda quickly grabbed a piece of paper from the living room and started writing: Chris, Wyatt...
I went for a drive with Charlie. I'll be back later, later than sooner. So don't worry about me. I need to get away for a bit. No I'm not running away. I'll be back in less than 24 hours okay! I just don't want to be here not right now. I need room to breathe. Stay at home. I'll be back. - Love Mel Melinda quickly grabbed the note and left it on the table by the door. “So let's go then” Melinda said in a hurry, grabbing Charlie's hand.. She wanted to get out of there before Chris or Wyatt came home. They wouldn't like her going off alone.

"Where are we going exactly?" Charlie asked letting Melinda lead him out to her car, since he didn't have his haveing flamed in. If she asks I'll tell her I came by cab, he thought. He knew she wanted to get away but he couldn't let her run away from her life, not knowing what she and her brothers did in their lives. He'd have to argue if she decided to go someplace pretty far. "Cause if we go to far I might have to call my work and tell tyhem I won't be in tomorrow." he added suddenly thinking about the car shop he worked at and how his boss would freak if he just didn't show up without calling ahead first.

“I don't know. Let's just go somewhere.” Melinda said then looked around. “So where is your car?” Melinda asked wondering how he had got here. They could always take hers but he could drive. She didn't feel much for driving at the moment. Maybe they could go to the ocean. It was peaceful. They could stay all night and hear the ocean currents. Feel the the breeze, rest in the soft sand. Let the ocean wash away her troubles. Maybe I'll fall asleep and the tide will carry me away far away...Melinda thought.

"Oh its in the shop. Needed new brakes." he said quickly walking over to the driver side door. "I'm going to need your keys because I have a feeling I'm driving." he added holding out his open hand. He wasn't sure still where they were going but as his stomach gave off a loud grummble he knew one thing there would be food there.

Camille frowned at the girl who was freaking out... This was not good, she could attract someone at any second and that would not have been too good. Camille took a few deep breaths... This girl obviously had no clue that she was a witch... So why did this magic stuff happen as soon as they met? And why did it happen in the first place... Camille swore off magic for the longest time... None of this made sense...
"Shhh... Keep your voice down... Not everyone appreciates some of the stuff that just happened and we could get into a lot of trouble..."
Camille slowly walked up to the girl and was about to calmly grab her hands, but remembering what happened the last time she grabbed her hands, decided against it. She just played with her bracelet and looked at the one on the girl's wrist...
"Ok... I know this seems all crazy and weird to you, believe me it feels weird for me to... But this must have happened for a reason... I mean we have matching bracelets and our powers went biserk when we touched..."
Camille realized what she just said and automatically shut her mouth... Great! Sure fire way to freak the poor girl out even more... Camille slammed her hand on her forehead and cursed her stupidity.

Caitlin was about to bust in tears or something. She was going mental she knew it. All that college pressure was catching up with her. She saw the girl come closer to her. What the hell did this freak even want?!
The girl was shushing her now. Caitlin didn't like to be bossed around especially from some loony toon. Caitlin was about to open her mouth when the girl mentioned they had powers or something.
What was this girl on anyway! Obviously something. She needed rehab. “Uh” Caitlin said. “You know whatever you are on. I can help.” Caitlin said looking at the girl as if she really were crazy or on drugs. She wondered if the girl had slipped some drugs in her or something. She had seen some crazy things earlier. What a crazy thought. She had just met this girl. Caitlin shook her head. She needed help of her own apparently.

Was this girl serious? Camille wished her powers were a figment of her imagination or the aftermath of being on some drug she didn't know about. Then maybe she and Wyatt could be normal people without having to deal with all this pain that having powers brought them...
Camille shook her head and rolled her eyes...
"If I'm on some drug, then you must be on the same thing hun because from the looks of it, you saw that exact same thing I did..."
Camille didn't mean to sound harsh, but what did this girl expect? Camille Dawson was no drug addict... She knew better than to do sh!t like that... And this girl was starting to get on her nerves... No wonder she wasn't a Whitelighter... She wondered how Wyatt and Chris did it... Well neither of them had charges yet... As far as she knew...

Caitlin was about to say something but the girl had a point. Caitlin crossed her arms. She hated that the girl was right. Maybe she hated the thought that she was crazy. They both were. She didn't know!
“Well whatever then. Why don't you explain things a little better than. You seem to be more familiar with insanity than I am!” Caitlin snapped back. She didn't mean to use such biting words but she was losing her patience. This girl was weird and weird things were happening around her. The girl wasn't even as freaked out anymore. People should be freaked out at this sort of stuff.
She didn't have time for all this bullcrap. Whatever this was. Now she was stuck in it. This girl obviously knew more than she was letting on. Which was really making Caitlin mad.

Camille stood there as this girl continued to yell at her... Did this girl know how to keep her mouth shut? Camille wasn't sure... She didn't know how to deal with newbies in magic... That was something that Whitelighters did... Not witches who gave up on the craft...
"Are you being smart with me? Cause honestly I don't have time for it... Especially not now... I wish I was insane then maybe the last few years would have just been a horrible dream..."
Camille tried to fight back the tears that were beginning to form... What was wrong with her? Why did she have to come to work? She should have gone straight to Wyatt's... He needed her right now...
"You wanna know the whole deal? Well guess what, I'm not even sure what the whole deal is... My life was somewhat normal except for the past week or so... I was fine... I was fine..."
Camille said that last sentence more quietly and more to herself... She wanted to leave... She was horrible with dealing with new witches... Especially those who had some wacky connection to her... She didn't want to have anything to do with magic anymore... It ruined her life and she could see it starting to ruin the life of the person she loved most...

Caitlin waited for the girl to say something sly back to her. She almost did with her going off about her being smart. Caitlin was about to be smart again. She normally wasn't such B!tch but this girl was testing her.
Then Caitlin saw it the pain in her eyes. It sent a chill up her spine. She knew it all too well. She had lost someone. She could feel, she could see it. She didn't need empathy to recognize her own pain through someone else.
Caitlin swallowed and looked at the girl who looked like she was about to burst into tears. “I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you like that. It's just well I'm a little freaked out right now. Caitlin said apologizing. She looked at the girl a second. She needed someone to talk to. The girl looked like she had been holding in forever. “I lost someone...I don't know how you feel but I know it hurts” Caitlin said softly. She hoped she wasn't going to upset the girl by getting in her business. Though the girl was the one who had spit it out.

Camille relaxed a little bit as the girl tried to be nice to her... She didn't need her sympathy... But at least she wasn't going crazy... Camille sighed and turned back to the counter... She wondered randomly... How long was that stupid newbie taking?
She turned back to the girl and sighed...
"Don't apologize... Not to be mean, but I don't need pity or sympathy... I'm used to having to do things on my own..."
Camille then sighed and slowly approached the girl... She was hoping that maybe she would be more receptive towards the idea of her being a witch... Because Camille was very certain that she was one..
"Look... I may not know the whole deal with what happened just now, but I do know that something like that means that you are not like other people... I dunno how else to put it without scaring you... Now you don't have to to anything else if you don't want to... But I think it's important to mention that your life is not gonna be the same..."

Caitlin could feel the girl ease up a little. Which was good. She didn't want to fight anymore. She wanted to know more. Rationally of course. Well sort of. Nothing was rational about any of this.
Caitlin heard her go off about pity. She knew that phrase all too well. It was best not to mention it. She didn't want the girl upset again. She didn't need it.
Caitlin listened as she went on about her not being like other people. Don't you mean your not like other people. I was normal until I met you. Caitlin thought. Caitlin heard her say her life wasn't going to be the same. Like her life wasn't already different as it was.
“Like that's going to make any difference” Caitlin muttered out. Okay she needed to relax. Not think about that other part of her that was dead now.
“Okay well whatever you have to tell me. Let's do it somewhere other than not here. Okay not to sound weird but we could talk in my room. Since it privet and not far away. Unless you know a better place?” Caitlin asked. Wondering why she was so calm all of a sudden.

Camille heard her say something about not making a difference that her life would change. Camille wondered what she meant about that... She wasn't going to ask... She wasn't the type to intrude or anything like that...
The girl asked if she wanted to go talk in her room at first Camille was hesitant because she didn't know this girl and Wyatt would be wondering where she was, but decided that this girl was just as confused as she was and deep down Camille wanted answers.
The newbie finally returned with Camille's schedule. Camille rolled her eyes and said thank you. She then turned to the other girl...
"Fine... We can go up to your room... But you have to promise to keep an open mind about what I'm gonna say to you... Because I think that somehow we were supposed to meet..."

Caitlin wondered what this girl was going to tell her. She heard her agree to talk in her hotel room. At least she could be comfortable hearing a girl tell how crazy she was. “Alright fine. I've already seen enough strange things for one day, what more strangeness going to matter?” Caitlin said then realized they had not properly introduced each other. “Oh, you know it might be easier to talk if we actually knew each other's names. I'm Caitlin” Caitlin didn't really need to give out her last name. She wasn't going to let her hand out either. Not with what happened last time, plus it was cliché anyway.

Melinda figured so. Where else would it be? People usually don't take cabs for the sake of it. Which she was pretty sure that's how he got here, unless he was dropped off. Not that it really mattered. Melinda wondered why she was thinking into it so much.
“Oh sure” Melinda said handing him her keys to her 2008 Volkswagen Beetle. Yeah she had a really old car but she didn't care. She loved her little car. “Hmmm let's go to the beach, let's go to Long Beach.” Melinda said knowing she sounded crazy. Long Beach was at least a six hour trip, a few miles outside Los Angles. So she didn't care she just wanted to drive a long time. Get away even it was just for a little bit.

Charlie stood there speechless as Melinda finally told him she wanted to go to Long Beach. He didn't know if he had enough energy left to drive six hours but he knew Melinda was having a really hard time lately so if she wanted to go to Long Beach he'd take her to long beach. But first he'd pick up some Subway. "Alright, hop in." he said somewhat reluctently as he opened the drivers side door and pulled himself into the tiny car.
He put the key in the ignition and turned on the radio. He fidled with the dial for a little bit until he found a station he liked. "You should let me get you a new car. There's always drop offs at the shop and I could probably get you a discount." he said finally after a couple of moments of silence.

Melinda knew he would think she was crazy, but Melinda wasn't really in a logical state of mind anyway. She heard his stomach growl too. She wasn't really that hungry, but she knew he was. Melinda didn't really feel like eating much. It wasn't the same with out Piper and Leo there. Besides nothing beat her mother's cooking not even her own. Though it came pretty close.
Melinda heard him talk about her car. She liked her car it had character. “Hey I like my car it's a classic besides my...Do you want to stop somewhere first?” Melinda asked changing the subject. She didn't want to talk about her Aunt either. She had been dead for a long while but she loved her Aunt as well. Besides she knew Charlie was hungry so she needed to ask anyway.

Charlie had a small inkling that there was more she was going to say but as soon as she mentioned stopping anywhere he nodded vigourously. "My stomach is begging me for food. How about Subway, cheap and close by?" he suggested pulling out of the driveway and turning onto the street. "Besides you need to eat, you've not been eating much lately and the last thing we need is you getting sick." he added
They sat in silence for a few minutes each wrapped in their own thoughts until finally Charlie spoke up again. "So how's everything been at home? Everyone still doing okay?" he asked

It wasn't really invading someone's privacy if he couldn't control it. Most of the time he ignored it, but with Lucy, he kept his mind open to her thoughts. Eventually he would get better with his newfound power and he wouldn't be hearing the thoughts 24/7. So, he heard her feelings about wanting be in bed and forget. Marc couldn't blame her. It would be nice to forget about the past. And that's what he did. He went out with his friends all the time and they acted like regular college idiots. No worries for Marc. It was Aunt Piper's side of the family who had to deal with the demonic attacks. Marc was free. YAY!
Lucy began to speak, but before he could answer her, the buzzer went off and Marc got up to get the food.
He returned a minute later and began opening up the Chinese cartons and getting forks and something to drink. "I don't know, Luce," he continued from the conversation. "I guess we're lucky. We've been on our own for a bit. Yeah, Piper and Leo were around, but it was still us. We just try to help Wyatt, Chris, and Melinda through it. Prue, too." He began to eat the food to keep him from saying more.

Bridgette sighed in frustration before slamming the book back down on the table. It was useless, and she now knew that. Her mind would never force clear and that was that. If she was going to at least isolate herself for awhile, she would need something more substantial than a fictional story where the hero's life works out perfectly, maybe with a snag or two in between.
Her eyes drifted over to the small pile of papers on her desk, and wrinkled her nose. Had the pile always been that large? It was of course, her work for school which, with all of the latest complications, had been...avoided to say the least. It was a wonder that she hadn't failed out of college ever since she came to San Fransisco.
She scanned her eyes over the work, it looked like the typical pile of mostly math, her worst subject. She noticed that the text book she used for her class was nowhere in sight and she bit her lip remembering that she had left it at Marc's the last time she had been there.
She could call and ask if she could stop by to pick it up, she supposed. But it was most likely not the best time for her interruptions. Then again, if she didn't call, she would probably sit here for another hour or two simply contemplating his possible reactions, and then thinking about things she didn't feel like thinking about.
Bridgette dug her teeth deeper into lip, as she pulled her cell out of her bag, hit the 4th speed dial and hit send, hoping that Marc wouldn't be upset.
